Psalm 48

1 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

3 God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

4 For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

5 They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.

6 Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

7 Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

8 As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah.

9 We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

10 According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

11 Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

12 Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.

13 Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

  1. 14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

God is our guide he will guide us in time of trouble and he guide us in the storm just like he did in egypt for the Israelites cloud by day and fire by night

  2. 10. As your name deserves, O God, you will be praised to the ends of the earth. Your strong right hand is filled with victory. NLT

  5. 12 Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.

13 Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

Commissioned with the great opportunity in the world, to pass how great God is ND how wonderful His works are. To pass the torch to the following generation what God has done. To announce to people in distress what God has pulled us through. To give hope to those who have lost it, how the love of God gave us strength when we almost gave up. How wonderful is our God!

  6. What are we telling our children?

13 Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

Does our life and faith exalt the Lord or do we live in fear? Are we always complaining about situations we find ourselves in and blame the boss, neighbor, government or God? Or, do we live a life of righteousness, filled with faith? What are we telling the next generation, not only with our words but by our actions?

While I don’t believe any one action defines who someone is, I think there’s something to this. Actions speak louder than words but repeated actions are what shape our character and reputation. If someone says they want to spend time together but repeatedly fails to show up, they are communicating that they aren’t willing to follow through on their promises.
If someone says they’re trustworthy but repeatedly lies, they are communicating that their word can’t be trusted.

If someone says they want to change but repeatedly fails to make an effort, they are communicating that they aren’t willing to do things differently.
Acknowledging this isn’t forming judgments. It’s recognizing the facts so that we can make a wise choice based on how things are—not how we want them to be. We may recognize we’re being mistreated and choose to set and enforce a boundary. We all deserve second chances, and sometimes a third or fourth.

What are we telling the next generation by our words and actions?

  7. 1 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

God is great and greatly to be praised! I notice the phrase “mountain of holiness ” and I think about how some people act like holiness is a low, depressing, thing more like a swamp than a beautiful mountain. But this verse calls holiness a mountain! Something that is beautiful, something that is high and should be reached for, something that should be aspired to. Let’s love holiness and reach for it together!

  8. 3 God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

When is fear hide in his presence. Know that he is God. Seek out His strength in time of need. His wisdom in times of trouble. When we cry out, he is our father that shelters us. The harbor of our souls. The greatest love that anyone will ever know. The peace that passes all understanding. I am thankful for this gospel,. Where would I be without it? Where would you be without it?

  9. “God, your fame reaches from one end of the earth to the other. In the same way, people praise you from one end of the earth to the other. You use your power to do what is right.”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭48:10‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

The word “Fame” makes me think of a famous person on display and in their prime surrounded by crowds of people. With all the glamour and glory and photos taken and shouts of affirmation, hands waving to get the attention of that person…. Almost like a a parade.
And coupled with the message from last tonight what if we spread the Lord’s fame to our community. In the words of our dear Sister Vesta Mangun “put Jesus on parade” Go invite. Go share the gospel. Go pray for the sick. Go make disciples. Go pray. Go let your Light shine!

“”You are the light of the world. A city on a hill can’t be hidden. Also, people do not light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand. Then it gives light to everyone in the house. “In the same way, let your light shine in front of others. Then they will see the good things you do. And they will praise your Father who is in heaven.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:14-16‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

  10. 2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

I reminded of this scripture everyone I see someone coming to the altar with tears streaming down their face in repentance. It is a beautiful situation to see God reach his holy hand down and lift up his lost children. It is beautiful how he loves us unconditionally and allows us to come back to him. It is beautiful to see lives change forever in an instant touch of his love. This is a beautiful situation to embark on a promised filled life when we do not deserve it.

  11. For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death
What this verse means to me the Lord is with us tell death and guides are life and are family too god knows what are future is like when are future comes that is the future that god has for us. Go in Jesus Name Amen

3God himself is in Jerusalem’s towers,
    revealing himself as its defender.
4The kings of the earth joined forces
    and advanced against the city.
    5But when they saw it, they were stunned;
they were terrified and ran away.

LOL, this scripture is so powerful. God Himself is the defender of Jerusalem. This reminds me of the Six Day War. The following is an excerpt and is quite interesting. This is a modern day testimony that proves that God is still the defender of Israel.

In the spring of 1967, following close to a decade of relative calm, Israel found itself poised for war against four of its Arab neighbors.

According to all the military analysts and pundits, it was to be a lopsided match. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) consisted of 275,000 troops, compared to the 456,000 soldiers of the combined Iraqi, Syrian, Jordanian and Egyptian armies. The united Arab forces also had a decided edge with regards to weaponry and military equipment: they boasted more than double the amount of tanks, and close to four times the amount of combat aircraft. The three-week period preceding the Six-Day War was one of dread, shock and fright for the residents of the Holy Land.

With close to two and a half million Jews living in the tiny country, it had the highest concentration of Jews since pre-Holocaust Eastern Europe. So pessimistic was the outlook that the nation’s cemeteries and national parks were marked to become gravesites for the many who would surely perish in the course of the war.

However, despite all the prognostications, by the time the war ended, the territory under Israeli control had tripled in size. Jews returned to sites where their ancestors had lived for thousands of years, sites from which waves of terror were launched against them for so many years. The casualties and losses were painful, but minimal in comparison to all projections. The Jewish nation was miraculously victorious in the face of unbelievable odds.

History books speak of the “Hundred Years’ War,” the “Thirty Years’ War,” and many other long-fought battles. Here, in a matter of six short days, a nation managed to utterly rout not one, but four powerful enemies!

Jews across the globe thanked G‑d for the great miracles that happened. An incredible sense of pride and spiritual awakening gripped the Jewish people worldwide.

The following is a brief account of some of the major events of the war, with emphasis placed on a few of the miraculous occurrences which characterized its battles. We will also highlight the pivotal role of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, in calming and reassuring a frightened and trepidation-filled nation, both before and during the war, and foretelling its miraculous outcome.

  13. 14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

How amazing is our God! “God, You are my God and I will ever praise You. I will seek You in the morning, and I will learn to walk in Your ways. Step by step You lead me and I will follow You all of my days.”

  14. 12 Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.

13 Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

Tell how awesome God is, tell about the things he has done. Write them down so you don’t forget. Keep record of it so it can be passed on to the next generation. We need to give them something to build their faith, not letting them think that God has abandoned them in their time of need.

  15. Psalms 48:3 (KJV Strong’s)
3 God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

I have read this before and thought it was referring to God in the feminine. However this isn’t the case. What this verse is really saying is that in her, that is in Zion’s palaces, God is known as a refuge.

Palaces are that of wealth, authority, and luxury. Only Kings live in palaces, and since we are all kings and priests before our God there is an attitude that is prevalent.

It’s not the palace that is the safe place but rather God in the palace. Humility even in wealth, decadence, and luxury are the keys to living an overcoming life.

No matter how blessed we become in this world we must always keep in mind that God is our refuge.

    2 Samuel 22:3 (KJV Strong’s)

3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust:
he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge,
my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

  16. Psalm 48:12 Circle Zion, take her measure, count her fortress peaks, Gaze long at her sloping bulwark, climb her citadel heights— Then you can tell the next generation detail by detail the story of God, Our God forever, who guides us till the end of time.

Recently when we were with some of our family, when the aunt suggested to our daughter that she should paint her finger nails, my son kicked into action. The said to his aunt, no, it’s a sin to paint your nails, and then Jesus will punish you.

Detail by detail tell the next generation the story of God. My son is growing a fear of God, do always do right and to stand for truth. It did stir up my in laws, but that’s ok, he protected his little sister.

  17. “Circle Zion, take her measure, count her fortress peaks, Gaze long at her sloping bulwark, climb her citadel heights— Then you can tell the next generation detail by detail the story of God, Our God forever, who guides us till the end of time.”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭48:12-14‬ ‭MSG‬‬

There will always be a next generation. And just as many of you has helped to lead the young people, we the young people are to lead the ones after us. And I pray that with the way we walk and talk, we are portraying God in everything we do and we are telling all about Him with the words that we speak!

  18. Psalm 48

1 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

3 God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

Oh how great are you God. I can run to you for you are my refuge. You are beautiful in every situation for if I search for your peace it is right there in the middle of chaos.
Even in the times when we are late You are always on time, even in the midst of a crowd in the world You are right there.

Thank you POFW to all who made our new friend so welcomed yesterday. We met her in line at Siix Flags on Saturday. She overheard Jacks conversation while witnessing to another young man. We gave her invitation and she shared her testimony. She was wanting to be able to attend church. We talked about the blessings of God yep while standing in line at an amusement park. She was there with a community football team 8 hours away from home. But God intervened He knew her need and the experience she would receive a boost in the arm to know she did have what it takes. Permission granted via phone conversation with her mother to pick her up for church. Again confirmation steps were being ordered by God. We cannot be afraid we must express how good our God is He is beautiful in every situation, He is peace, He is light. We must share His love with everyone. We carry Him and we must share Him with this world.
We are all missionaries as Bro. Jackson so wonderfully spoke to us last night. POFW you have it , I see it every time I walk through the doorsBe Bold Be Strong they will come just ask them.

  19. Psalms 48:12-14 (MSG)
Circle Zion, take her measure, count her fortress peaks,
Gaze long at her sloping bulwark, climb her citadel heights –
Then you can tell the next generation detail by detail the story of God,
Our God forever, who guides us till the end of time.

  20. 14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

“Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭23:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭32:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:79‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We were given a light (God) to guide us. We should not keep this light to ourselves but share it with all who will listen!!

  21. 10 According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

How great you are God, what a Mighty and Awesome ruler you are, so full of Glory, Majesty and Love! I really wanted 14, but I love the scene my mind goes to after reading all of these verses. For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. Unto Death, Death can be along time or even in the next few minutes, it just is up to God! I have walked away too many times, and this time around there will be no more being a quitter, I will quit quitting, I need God as we all do, with out him there is no purpose in my life, I need him in my life, in my marriage and in my relationship with people, I hate being around other people, No one knows that but now you do! God is changing that in me! hes made me to learn to trust people, because im trusting him! Thats why hes MY GOD, MY GUIDE UNTIL DEATH! BECAUSE with out Him! I am just a shell! With him I am alive! I love you Jesus!

  22. 12 Go, inspect the city of Jerusalem.
Walk around and count the many towers.
13 Take note of the fortified walls,
    and tour all the citadels,
    that you may describe them
    to future generations. NLT

Have you ever just been living life, doing the same routine, and one day notice something that you’ve never noticed before and then you question; “how long has that been there?” or “has that always been there?”.

I cannot count how many times I’ve uttered those exact words. It’s too easy to get caught up in the routine and miss what’s going on around you. I believe it is beneficial to take a moment and inspect your surroundings. Don’t allow a minor concern turn into a major dilemma; if it can be prevented.

  23. A BEAUTIFUL SITUATION TO GO

2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

The Church is referred to as Zion, because it is the house of GOD.

    Hebrews 12:22-24 (MSG)
22-24 No, that’s not your experience at all. You’ve come to Mount Zion, the city where the living God resides. The invisible Jerusalem is populated by throngs of festive angels and Christian citizens. It is the city where God is Judge, with judgments that make us just. You’ve come to Jesus, who presents us with a new covenant, a fresh charter from God. He is the Mediator of this covenant. The murder of Jesus, unlike Abel’s—a homicide that cried out for vengeance—became a proclamation of grace.

In the eyes of the LORD when we the church are occupied in fulfilling the Mission of GOD, of sharing HIS GOSPEL and our testimony with everyone, we find ourselves positioned in a Beautiful for Situation with GOD. The Church is the JOY of the whole earth and if the Church has lost its JOY, then what hope does the earth have?

Lets GO spread HIS JOY in all of the earth and make proud the King of Kings and HIS city.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo

  24. MSG – 12-14 Circle Zion, take her measure,
    count her fortress peaks,
Gaze long at her sloping bulwark,
    climb her citadel heights—
Then you can tell the next generation
detail by detail the story of God,
    Our God forever,
who guides us till the end of time.

Just to walk outside and view the vastness of the world, how could anyone discount the majestic beauty of this world? Yet so many times we doubt that God can do something minute in our lives.

With just a spoken word all things but humans were created. All He has to do is speak to the situations in our lives and something will happen.

  25. Psalms 48:10 “According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.”
Reading this I started looking through my Bible of other cases when it talks about the name of the Lord. I was brought to Proverbs 18:10, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” And Psalms 113:3-4, “From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord’s name is to be praised. The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.” And in Nehemiah chapter 9 it talks of the greatness of God and some of what He had done for the Israelites. There is no end to God’s glory! There is no limit to how much I can praise Him! For this I am very grateful!! There is nothing in this world that is too big for God, for even His praises cover the earth!

  26. 13 Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.
14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

Carefully remember his word, carefully remember what he has done for you and others. This is our testimony and we must tell others what God can do, what he has done and what he can do for them. We need to pass the old landmarks to the next generation so this rich heritage will continue to be passed down to each generation.

  27. . “Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.
    8. As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever, Selah.
Reading this psalm, I am reminded of how things created of man are temporal and vastly inferior to that which is established by God. The ships of Tarshish were a great engineering feat of the time. They were trading vessels capable of traveling long distances. Yet these vessels created by man could be completely destroyed by a wind and change a person’s status from riches to poverty. How many times have we thought something made by man in this world would stand for a long time only to have it fall apart far earlier than we expected or be easily destroyed when we thought it was sturdy.
Only what God establishes will stand firm and last until the end of time. When we lay up our treasures in the kingdom of God as mentioned in Matt 6:19-20, we can rest assured that nothing will destroy it.

  28. Wonderful reminder of what Jerusalem meant to Israel and what the house of God should be for us today. I like the declaration that, ‘As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah.’ It is never enough just to hear about who God is and what he has done.. we need a personal experience with God. He is working from the perspective of eternity. I need his perspective to prevail in my life and provide me the direction I need. I need to take the time with him in his house and in mine for him to make that kind of difference in my life.

I need to recognize all that God provides! The psalmist took the time to look for himself. ‘Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof. Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following. For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.’ I need his testimonies not only for my own walk, bit for those who follow after me… both my natural children and those I’m leading or influencing by my walk. I need to take the time to taste and see that the Lord is good! We know that whatsoever God doeth, it shall be forever.. I want God to be the forever in my life! One that takes me through eternity with him.

  29. 9 We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

We need to spread God’s love to everyone in this nation because most of the people around us don’t know that God loves them even when they can’t love themselves!

  30. 12 Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.

13 Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

I can’t stop singing about the love golf God he has done so many wondrorous works!

  31. 14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

    Who is your God???

In talking with someone, last week, they told me they were ready for death, and with the very next breath said that they were not only running for God, but also not stopping to turn to Him either. WOW!!!! The place that this person had gotten to. I was taken back, but then I realized, what we were talking about wasn’t what was the real problem.

Many times we allow these little things to come up in our lives that separate us from God. Anything that separates us from God is an idol, a god. When our worship isn’t pure, it’s because we have something else in the way of allowing us to focus on Jesus. Anything can be this idol; money, cars, houses, our job, our family, our pets… It doesn’t matter, even hurt or pride can be that idol that we need to tear down, so that He can be our all, our God forever.

  32. 14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

HIS faithfulness is FOR EVER!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!! I LOVE YOU DADDY!!!

  33. Verse 14 sums up the chapter well when it says For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. For God will guide us toward him and when we follow him when But through it all he will be our God fore ever and ever, both before and after the grave. Through it all we will say Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised!

  34. I Love To Worship The Lord
    Vs 1
How Great Is The Lord. How much we should praise him. He lives upon Mount Zion in Jerusalem
    Zion
The hill on which the original Jebusite fortress of Jerusalem stood was Zion. David brought the ark to this hill
    A Song of Zion
God is praised as the ruler and defender of the holy city Jerusalem who keeps the city secure and so stimulates the praise of his people

  35. Josiah: For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be a guide even unto death.
Blessed be the Lord! Blessed be his people. For our God is not a idol that can be burned. He is not an unforgiving God. He is not a God who leaves us to our own devices. His “word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”. For God’s word is a lamp unto our feet. His word shows us and leads us into the right path causing his word to be a light or guide on the direction of path we go in in life. And in Luke it tells us what to do with our light. It says “To give light to them that sit in darkness”. This shows us that we should spread the gospel to those that are lost. This one reason why we should support outreach and it is my goal in hospitality to make every guest that walks through my door to be greeted in such a fashion that they feel the love of God without forcing them to do anything.

  36. 14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
“When you feel lost, hes a way maker” i will always turn to God whether i need something from him or he needs something. I will praise him and do my very best to live “Christ like” i know that no one can be as perfect as he was as he walked on this earth. Ive said this before, i want people to see that i have the Holy Ghost. I want people to see Gods spirit through me. The people that once knew me easily seen a difference or a change. The struggle sometimes is the people ive never met, ots easy for me to be judged just by all these tattoos on my body. Its also easy for me to use them to an advantage and share a testimony and show what God has saved me from. I can show these people the benefits of following God and wanting to help others get on the right path.
    Its a beautiful thing.
    God bless you all!

  37. Psalm48:14 ( English Amp Bible) For this God is our God forever and ever; He will be our guide (Even) until death. When we are sad God wraps his arms around and loves us . And he protect us. From this mean word. God is everywhere.

  38. 5 But when they saw it, they were stunned; they were terrified and ran away.

One can only imagine what they saw. Something so great, it terrified them. Most people run towards incidents to see what happened. We are curious and want to get a glimpse of the incident. But in this case, they realized God was the protector. With God on our side, enemies will flee from us.

  39. 2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

2 Saturdays ago the bus team we were at Serrano Ranch and we were approach by a young man asking us to pray for him, Beautiful Situation seen the hunger of this young man and the desire for God. So we pray together for him. 2 doors later at the Cooper Family door God put us in another beautiful situation as we pray for Mrs. Cooper when we began to pray for her and she receive the Holy Ghost I saw how God can put us in beautiful situations to be a part of a miracle in how He can change a tragic or painfpainful moment to a beautiful Joyful Situation.

  40. GREAT is the LORD , and greatly to be praised in the city of our God , in the mountain of his holiness . 2. Beautiful for situation , the joy of the whole earth , is mount Zi ‘- on , on the sides of the north , the city of the great King . You are Holy , you are great , I honor you LORD !!!! I know these two scriptures as a song .

  41. For that is what God is like. He is our God forever and ever, and he will guide us until we die.
    Psalms 48:14 NLT

Sinve the beginning of time to when the Lord comes and even beyond that God will always be God. He is our light and guide and above Him there is non.

  42. For those that allow God, he will lead you. He is my guide and my light in times of darkness. We must be a willing vessel in order for God to lead us to the place he wants us to go.

  43. (10) According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness. (11) Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments. (12) Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.
    Psalms 48:10‭-‬12 KJV

I’m at a loss for words; God is greatly to be praised. What else needs to be added to these scriptures. I need to praise Him everyday and rejoice in what God is doing in my life. To many times I have run myself down; thinking I’m not good enough for the Kingdom, but that’s not true. That is the enemy trying to pull me back to the world. He will not get me; why? BECAUSE I BELONG TO GOD AND YOU HAVE NO POWER OVER ME!!!! Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross; so that I can live.

    (14) For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
    Psalms 48:14 KJV

  44. 2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David,” which identifies Mount Tzion as part of the City of David, and not an area outside today’s Old City of Jerusalem. Rashi identifies the location as the source of “joy” mentioned in the Psalm as the Temple Courtyard, the location of atonement offerings in the northern part of the Temple complex.[19]

In the New Testament Mount Zion is used metaphorically to refer to the heavenly Jerusalem, God’s holy, eternal city. Christians are said to have “ . . . come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven”

I’m thankful we can find a place of refuge in the Church.

  45. v1 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised
In the city of our God,
    In His holy mountain.

Our Great GOD loves true praise and worship that comes from a repented heart that is pure and honest.
Our GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD !

  46. The Korahites identify the city of God as Jerusalem, their national and religious capitol. They praise God for its beauty and security because of him and repeats the prophesy of Isaiah 2:1-5. The city of God, the new Jerusalem, is where all followers of Jesus Christ will one day live forever. This city will be filled with the presence of the King of Kings and his love will be it’s overwhelming keeper. In that forever home, believers will be completely safe and secure- lofty and high above all danger, and our fortress will be impenetrable to any outside threat. He will be our guide through this life and even to the end (vs 14) to beauty, joy, and love that will surround his people for all eternity.

  47. According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right and is full of righteousness.(Psalms 48:10 KJV)

We praise the name above every name “Jesus”! For he will hear us and inhabit our praise with his presence. For our God is omnipresent and always here for us and reaches unto the end of the earth to care for us.

  48. “According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭48:10‬ ‭KJV

According to his name, Jesus, not our own power or name. His name is greater and his blood is more powerful triangles any situation or circumstance that could occur.

  49. Psalms 48:14
    “For this is God,
    Our god forever and ever;
    He will be our guide
    Even to death.”

God your word, your grace is so amazing! You guide us through darkness, through pain, through any situation. We shouldn’t keep your word to our selfs but for we should guide others towards you as like you guide us forever.

  50. 9 We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

May the fire of the alter never burn out in your house of prayer Lord. Lead us and guide us , for your love is unconditional. Thank you Lord for mercy and grace.

  51. 9 We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

Jesus will remind you of many things when you go to church on regular service, prayer, ministry, or outreach!

  52. 12 Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.

13 Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

most of the time we question what will be of our future? what can lie ahead in life. It may even feel as though we go through life in a fog we only see a bit of distance at a time. The beautiful thing is that the Lord is with us in the midst of it all. And if we are wise, we learn to hear his voice that will guide us in every way. Way may not be able to see far ahead but we trust His guidance and go by faith listening to his Word.

  53. 1 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness

Yes Great Are you Lord in ALL the Earth. No matter what anyone else thinks you are amazing!!! I will worship you always for ever and ever.

  54. 12 Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.

13 Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

  55. Verse 14 AMP “For this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even until death.” Isaiah 58:11 AMP says “And the Lord will continually guide you, And satisfy your soul in scorched and dry places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.”

  56. Hannah: “14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.” Always the lord will be my refuge and strength. He will guide me from the most troublesome times to the most glorious times. His hand will always be there to pick me up when I fall down and to encourage me while I walk with him. I could never thank the Lord for all the strength and courage he has given me when I go through a rough time. Whenever I am discouraged he is there, and whenever I am doing well he is there. Throughout every situation he is there for me and it is the same with everyone else. For each and every person he will always be there. All you have to do is to call on the name of the Lord and he will come. He will do the impossible and the possible because he can do anything. No situation will ever be too tough for God, and I am exceedingly joyful over all he does for each person. Praise the Lord forever all ye lands!
