Psalm 60

1 O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.

2 Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.

3 Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.

4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.

5 That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.

6 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;

8 Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.

9 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

10 Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?

11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

  1. Psalms 60:12 (AMP)
    12) Through God we will have victory, For He will trample (to tread or step heavily and noisily; stamp. to tread heavily, roughly, or crushing on) down our enemies.

Thank You JESUS that You are the “God of my Battles” and Thank You for Victory!

    So, Stomp, Stomp, Stomp
    Stomp on the devil.
    Stomp, Stomp, Stomp
    Stomp on the devil.
    I’ve got the Victory
    I’ve got the Victory
    I’ve got the Victory
    I’ve got the Victory
    So, Stomp, Stomp, Stomp
    Stomp on the devil
    Stomp, Stomp,Stomp
    Stomp on the Devil.

  2. 6 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

God had spoken and we are taking this city by force!!!!

Gods displeasure assures defeat while trust in His promise of victory is a solid basis for hope.
    Vs-12
With Gods help we shall do mighty things for he will trample down our foes.
You want to know something this verse sounds like its fit for the Pencostals Of Fort Worth

  4. Verse 12 AMP “Through God we will have VICTORY, For He will trample down our enemies.” Same verse CEV “You will give us VICTORY and crush our enemies.” It is time to do some trampling and crushing in Jesus name!

Romans 8:33-37 NLT says “Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”[a]) No, despite all these things, overwhelming VICTORY is ours through Christ, who loved us.

  5. 1 O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.
Selah.

Stand and behold how GREAT God is! nothing is like our God

  6. 12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

“Through God we shall do valiantly:” In Jesus Name let it be so today!! We are mighty!

  7. With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes. (‭Psalms‬ ‭60‬:‭12‬ NLT)

    amen!!!!!!

  8. 6 God hath spoken in his holiness;…

When God speaks everybody listens. God’s words should shut us down and stir us up at the same time. The bible says his word is “quick and powerful ” it should cut us it should heal us and if we let it His word will keep us!

  9. Hard Love

3 Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.

When is boys growing up would get ourselves into trouble and my dad had to punish us he would do it in his owns way. Once I went to jail and I called and asked if he would come get me out and let me work off the money and he said no. He said sometime you won’t learn without hard love. This was my dads style of raising us. When he wanted to get our attention he could. He caught me bad mouthing the clothes that he bought for me to wear to school and he said that next year I could by my own and he meant it. I was 11. Hard Love made me go to work all summer to by school clothes. He wasn’t concerned with child labor laws. It’s nice to learn the easy way but sometimes we have to learn with Hard Love. Let us not get mad at God when he shows us some hard love but ask the question that Pastor had taught us to ask…. God what are you trying to teach me here? That way we don’t have to learn the hard lessons more than once!

    Go Learn

  10. iLove to GO Blog
Psalms 60:1 NLT For the choir director: A psalm of David useful for teaching, regarding the time David fought Aram-naharaim and Aram-zobah, and Joab returned and killed 12,000 Edomites in the Valley of Salt. To be sung to the tune “Lily of the Testimony.” You have rejected us, O God, and broken our defenses. You have been angry with us; now restore us to Your favor.

Look at that intro! It tells us that this is a great victory in the life of David and yet David is so humble that he starts off verse 1 by saying “restore thy favor…”Most folks would have boasted of God’s favor already with them, but David was never satisfied.

  11. 12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies

God gives me strength, he gives me courage. The enemy has been trying stop the army that is being built for God. God is undefeated and he will remain undefeated. Were in a battle thats already won, but that doesnt mean give up. We have to bring people to the winning team.

  12. 9 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

The lord is leading us into victory into this city! Victory is ours in Jesus Name! We got the victory we got the victory! Never will he fail!

  13. WHERE DO YOU GO FOR HELP

11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Troubles that we face in life are to develop us. In the development process; a negative is turned into a positive. Often GOD will use man to help us from our trouble, however we must exhibit FAITH and allow GOD to choose the man to help us. I have witnessed the painful mistake of others who will GO to man instead of GOD for help and either be left discouraged or deceived by the help of man. Worthless is the help of man. This is a concept of the Kingdom of GOD we must understand. GOD will often use man to help us, but we must GO through GOD.

GOD is the source and resource that will Bless and Empower us to do valiantly. GOD will GO before us and tread down our enemies. When trouble arises in our lives, we are wise to GO to GOD for HELP. Following HIS WORD is the process that we shall do valiantly.

  14. 12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

It is only through God that we will win this battle, it is only through God that we have victory over our enemies, and it is only through God that we are mighty!! Let’s GO through God and in God today and reach this community!

  15. 11-12 Give us help for the hard task; human help is worthless. In God we’ll do our very best; he’ll flatten the opposition for good.

There’s no other name I know! I know the name of Jesus will lead us victory and salvation! I pray that today we go in Jesus name to this community and do our very best for him and the souls in this community!

  16. They recognize without God they are nothing they know with him they can stand against anything thing oh God how we need you every second of our day we are nothing without you
Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless. With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.
    Psalms 60:11‭-‬12 NLT

What are we without the love and mercy of God

  17. Psalms 60:12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

I must start with we must understand that our enemies are not flesh and blood but they are the powers of this world. The enemies are the devil’s schemes to attack from every side. When we can realize this relationships in our life will take on a deeper meaning. When you begin to have an argument with your spouse this is not about your spouse this is about the enemy trying to destroy your marriage. When you have a problem with a coworker this is the enemy trying to destroy your testimony.
We are warring daily against the adversary. Why give him any pleasure by surrendering. we cannot let the enemy weaken us.

I have learned this from experience. I have not always said and done everything just the right way this causes grief for many at times. But I have learned that love is unconditional especially when there are many people hurting. Situations in life causes conflicts but we can overcome by the blood of the Lamb. Our God does triumphant and valiantly treads down the enemy,we must stay peaceful and allow God to fight. Our flesh must submit in order for Him to be the Victor.

I am blessed and know that He will fight for us and He will have the last say so. When you know you can’t go any further God shows right up and defeats the enemy. Stay close to one another, stay close to God, stay close to your Pastor, stay close to your church.

I love POFW all of you are Warriors!

  18. A traveling brief from the snowy northeast 🌨 ❄️❄️❄️ ☃️

When we feel God had taken us through hard places and are likewise surprised at what we’ve gone through, remember the words of the following verses: ‘Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah. That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me. God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice…’ When we feel we’re in the midst of the battle, don’t forget whose banner flies above us and make sure his truth contributes to shine! We need not fear whether God will deliver us… it was spoken of by him who cannot lie, by him who is above all, so rejoice in the storm and have faith in his strength for your life… the strength of one who calls us beloved!

This Psalm provided a nice analogy as I sit in front of a fire in the midst of the snowstorm. Outside the house, the wind, the cold, the driving snow, would quickly reduce me to near death without proper protection. But within the house there is peace and safety. Not by accident: the wood is there because we worked to collect it in due season, the structure is sound because we took the time to maintain it, the peace is there from the years of prayers and consecration so even when empty, it still feels safe. How like the safety of remaining in the house of God in the storm! When we feel scattered and dismayed by the storms of life, there is safety and stability in the house of God that gives us the peace we need to go on… and that same peace can and should be in our own home, as long as we set aside the time and make the effort to welcome him there, wherever that may be!

  19. Show the flag

4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.

Why is a banner/flag so important? It’s a sign. A sign of who has the upper hand, who is in control. When in battle men would be able to see a flag and know what they were fighting for. In battles of old there would be flag holders in a battle, to show them where the line of battle was at. To know if they were winning or losing. And there are stories of those flag holders that saw that they were losing and ran deep into the emery lines to show the soldiers where the line was drawn.
The flag of any federal building will show you who is in control. A ship’s colours or flag will show you who is in control.
So when God gives us his banner to wave to those that fear him. We are show this world that we are under the influence of God Almighty. So let your light/banner/flag show for all to see.

  20. 12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Everything we do is through God, and He is able to do things we cannot do, and open doors that we cannot.

  21. 11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

It’s God that gives the victory, we can’t depend on the arm of the flesh! Depend on, trust in Him! Man will let you down sometimes, but God’s got our back.

  22. The devil is a liar, but God is truthful in every way that’s why we praise his name in Jesus name Amen!

  23. 11Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless.

A true statement, don’t rely on man to answer your questions. about life problems. No need to spend so much money on doctors or physiology. With God, he is our answer to all our worries.

  24. 11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Whenever we need help, we can rest assured that when Jesus helps us in our time of need, he completely answers that need. Dealing with people can bring heartache and disappointment because of unfulfilled promises and conflicting motives. Jesus never tells us that he will answer our needs only to leave us alone in our darkest hour. As people come and go in this world, Jesus is our rock, our sure foundation, our only hope and way in this world to give us peace now and eternal peace and rest with him. I am so very grateful that he will never leave us nor ever forsake us!!!!

  25. 12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

God is great and He can do all things! He is greater then all things in this world and nothing is impossible for Him! (Mark 10:27, Matthew 19:26)(Luke 1:37) There is literally nothing that He cannot do!  I need to be sure that in all things I do, He is glorified! (Psalms 18:46) He will be sure that His will is done and in the end all that I do will be my testimony here on this earth. So I need to be sure that all I do, I be sure that it is in accordance with God’s plan! (Titus 2:7-8) (1 Corinthians 3:9-13)

  26. 11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Human strength can only do so much. Sometimes situations are out of anybody’s control. This is not to bring despair to ones life but an opportunity for God to be glorified. He has equipped us to go and do many things but some battles are just His. A perfect place to grow your faith.

For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
    Acts 17:28 KJV

We live because of Him and for him so call unto God in the time of trouble. He is not offended that we do. In fact we should call unto him more often and first before attempting what man can do. Go and pray and call unto Him.

  27. 12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

We have performed valiantly today POFW!! We have went into the enemies camp and came away with the spoils of 30+ children receiving the Holy Ghost and untold contacts of those who we may not have even seen. There many folks who stood on the other side of the street looking. God was speaking to them through our actions today.

    Keep pressing!
    Keep working!
    The harvest is here!

  28. 11Give us aid against the enemy for the help of man is worthless
12 With God we will gain the victory and he will trample down our enemies

We need Hod in every aspect of our life

  29. 4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.

This verse reminds me of a phrase of a song i’ll raise a banner because my Lord has conquered the grave, my Redeemer lives! We have a great testimony and a walk and are surrounded by a great cloud of witness(Hebrews 12:1). So may we continue to be a witness to our witnesses and raise the banner Jesus gave to us. That it may display his truth that worketh in us. And continue to fear God and keep his commandments and think on God’s most precious word. So the lost can be found.

  30. With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.
    Psalms 60:12 NLT

I know that with my own strength I can do and accomplish many things but there is a limit. There is a limit because I can only go as far as my strength and ability can take me but God is limitless and through Him we can do all things and there is no devil in hell that can stop us!

  31. 11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
I will place my trust upon the Lord he is my help and my strength. I will lean on him!

  32. 12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes. (NIV)

This is for sure….only with HIS help we be able to do mighty things!! Jesus leads us to that place, but we must completely be on fire and souled out to Him!!! He don’t want to use us if were warm or cold but on fire for the things of HIS kingdom. We must fight the spiritual battle daily and recognize that we can’t do nothing with HIM!!!

  33. The territories referred to here include both the children of Israel as well as the surrounding enemies. Even though Israel is perpetually under siege, this song is David’s cry of the sure victory to come. The two tribes of Israel represent God’s “helmet” of powerful protection (Ephraim) his “scepter” of sovereign rule (Judah). The wicked Moabites will be reduced to God’s menial servants, left with nothing but the dirty water from the warrior Lord’s bath. He will claim rebel Edom as his own with the sandal-for-land swap (Ru 4:7). And the oppressive Philistines will ultimately be vanquished. These references to territories either conquered by, or in perpetual turmoil with, Israel form a metaphorical reference to God’s absolute dominion and sovereignty, not just over these particular physical places, but over the whole earth. (Ex 19: 5-6)

  34. 11. Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless. 12. With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies. ( NIV ) Victory means salvation or deliverance.

  35. Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
    (Psalms 60:12 KJV)

So highly had our sins provoked thy divine majesty, that thou didst reject or forsake us, so as to withdraw thy gracious and powerful presence from us, and no longer to go forth with our armies.

  36. “Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭60:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Everything that we do is not enough when it is just us. We can accomplish nothing. God can do miracles, anything. I can do nothing.

  37. 11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

  38. 9) Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
    Psalms 60:9 KJV

God is calling the warriors to save this city. Who shall then lead me? The man that God has put before me. With God on my side and the man of God that is before me. I will be a mighty warrior and take back what the enemy has stolen. I will have my victory over satan and there is nothing that he can do about it. I’ve got the victory. Devil ypu are under my feet. Thank you Jesus for being my protector and provider.

    11) Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. 12) Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
    Psalms 60:11‭-‬12 KJV

  39. Josiah: 11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
Not by my name but his. Not by my strength, but his shall I be protected. For vain is the help of men. I find it interesting that God’s word does not use the words”for vain is the help of men” just once in Psalms but also says it later on in Psalm 108 despite all the other times it is mentioned in other words. Yet God will destroy are enemies and valiant things shall be done through God’s people if we trust in him and build our house upon the rock. For it is not by my strength, but his.

  40. Hannah: “11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.” The Lord is my help not the world. Following the bad examples of the world will only lead me to destruction. Following the Lord’s example will bring my peace and will bring me to heaven. Never will I want to follow the world’s example because I know that path won’t bring me any closer to God and his will for my life.Through God we will have victory after victory and our enemies will be thrown down. Following him will make us more stronger in him and more humble. My riches will be in the Lord, not this world. His love is greater than all of the riches in this world. Riches in this world will not bring you closer to God. It is when you seek him and his perfect will for yourself is when your riches in heaven start to increase. It is like a verse says in the Bible. What profits a man to have all the riches in the world and to lose his soul. Your soul is the greatest thing, and never will I want to lose my soul. We all need to look in ourselves and make sure we are walking with God and not this world. We need to be a light because this world doesn’t need any more darkness than it already has.

  41. Psalm 60:11 Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless.

Some of the most influential men in my life are the most spiritual. There is no wise counsel in a un ungodly person. When we really on human strength we are sowing in the flesh and therefore can not reap nothing but flesh things.

  42. 5 Save us and help us with your right hand,
that those you love may be delivered. NIV

We need to let God use us by telling the people that we love about him and everything he’s done for us so far!

  43. 12 With God’s help we will do mighty things,
for he will trample down our foes.

Philippines 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Although these verse seem simple, they truly hold so much power to the ones that BELIEVE them!

Do you truly BELIEVE that you can do all things through Christ? The word states that we will do MIGHTY things with the help of the Lord. The Lord does not lie, don’t allow your self doubt to hinder the Might Works God wants to do through you!
