Psalm 70

Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.

Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.

Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.

Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying.

  1. But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “God is great!”
    Psalms 70:4 NLT

Help to search for you Lord always. There are mockers and complainers that will seek to destroy me. Let them see you in me. Let me be the guiding light for them God. For you are great and greatly to be praised God. I know b there are days when I shutter at the thought of getting out of bed and heading into a new day, but I know that I’m not alone; I have you with me Lord and can count on you to guide me through and keep me from becoming the complainer or murmurer. I thank you Jesus for the dawning of new days!!!!

  2. Verse 4 AMP “May all those who seek You [as life’s first priority] rejoice and be glad in You; May those who love Your salvation say continually, “Let God be magnified!” Same verse NLT “But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “God is great!” As Veggie Tales would say: “My God is so big, so strong and so mighty. There’s nothing my God cannot do!

  3. 4. But let those who pursue You celebrate and have joy because of You. And let the song of those who love Your saving grace never cease: “God is great!” Voice

    I’m chasing after you
No matter what I have to do
I need you more and more
    More and more

    I’m chasing after you
    I’m praising my way through
Just to be closer to you
    I’m chasing after you

    Jeremiah 29:
    13. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

    14. And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the Lord; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive. KJV

  4. 2 Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.
3 Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.

God is our place of refuge and strength. We say that all the time and so much that it can easily lose its meaning but it is no less true. Let us never forget the God we serve who turns out enemies against each other. Those that come after us do not know what they are dealing with. God is our defense and can defeat our battle before we ever get to it.

  5. Hurry up?

70 Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.

Isn’t it funny how we always push God for answers and we push him for deliverance out of messes when we are not really waiting on God but he is waiting on us. God waits on us to line up with his plan before he blesses us. God waits on us to praise him before he moves. God waits on us to put feet to our faith before he delivers. We are not waiting on God, he’s waiting on us.

  6. 5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying

I love how David was always so upfront with God. He never was macho and prideful about anything. He was so honest before the LORD. He didn’t hold anything back from God. He gave all of himself even in the midst of troubles.

  7. Sometimes you just have to praise the Lord… praise the Lord at all times! It doesn’t matter what situation I may be facing today: ‘Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.’ I’m done trying to do it on my own, I’m not even going to try, I know that whatsoever he doeth will last forever, so let his will be done. Mine can wait on him until it understands the direction of his desire so my will can be aligned with his… His will is always best for me!

So ‘Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.’ Notice the psalmist isn’t just glad and rejoicing in the love of God.. he loves his salvation! I’d go as far as to say we need to love his salvation and everything associated with that salvation of we truly love him and desire to magnify his name!

When it comes to what I can do, ‘I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying.’ I don’t want good to tarry while I make up my mind on whether I need his help. I don’t want pride to lead me into even trying to do it on my own. O let me soul magnify his name and all his wondrous works! Let me learn to wait upon the Lord until he renews my strength and let him be magnified for everything in my life!

  8. 70 Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.

2 Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.

There are times when we need God and we need him quick. They’re times when we can’t wait another hour or min. In those times we call upon the Lord We seek His face and we have faith in Him. When we do that he gives us victory over our enemies and makes then retreat.

  9. But may all who serch for you be fill with joy and gladness in you.
May those who love your salvation repatedly shout, “God is great!”
    PSALMS 70: 4 NLT

Lord you are good, you are faithful and awesome God.

  10. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

This is the day that the Lord hath made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!!

  11. My God can Deliver anyone as they pray to him and ask him and I Believe Project 7 can be delivered threw a lot of prayer.
    Go in Jesus name Amen

  12. iLove to GO Blog
Psalms 70:2-4 NLT May those who try to kill me be humiliated and put to shame. May those who take delight in my trouble be turned back in disgrace. (3) Let them be horrified by their shame, for they said, “Aha! We’ve got him now!” (4) But may all who search for You be filled with joy and gladness in You. May those who love Your salvation repeatedly shout, “God is great!”

There is always folks out to get the righteous. These folks plan and plot and set traps for the righteous to step into. But the Lord always delivers His people. “God is Great!” Those who set the traps imagine themselves to be wise. They try to make themselves out to be a victim, when in reality they are the hunter. They say, “Ah ha, I’ve got you now!” But once again, “God is great!” and He shall deliver his people. God will fill us with joy and gladness.

  13. GO SEEK GOD AND LET GOD BE MAGNIFIED

4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

Seeking GOD is a daily privilege and opportunity that lasts a lifetime. For this reason we must LOVE JESUS with all our heart. Love is strengthened by service, revelation and commitment.

As long as we maintain in our heart and mind that Salvation through JESUS is the best and greatest opportunity of my life we will seek GOD with gladness and rejoicing. The words will pour out of our hearts and joyfully declare, continually saying “LET GOD BE MAGNIFIED”.

The key to living a JOYFUL LIFE is to seek GOD and always remain thankful for HIS Salvation with confession in every situation and opportunity to GO LET GOD BE MAGNIFIED.

The believer should exhibit seeking GOD, joyful in SALVATION and convincing in PRAISE. Everywhere we GO our lives should express and demonstrate that we belong to JESUS by our aspirations, attitude, audience and actions.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo

  14. Psalm 70
1 Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.

    In Jesus Name!
The Lord has always been a present help in the time of trouble.
He will deliver, He will sustain even in the midst of the hardest battles of your life. Keep on moving, keep on praying, keep on witnessing, He will deliver!
His coming is on the horizon and there are still many out in the world lost. So if we are seeking for deliverance we may just find it right in front of us through someone else who needs a helping hand and who needs to know the Gospel.

  15. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying.

When the world is in fear they turn too sin to alleviate the pressures of sin. But we know where our strength comes from. That is God. He is our strength, our portion. He is all that we will ever need. Oh give thanks unto the Lord, for his mercy endureth forever.
Thank you Jesus for being my all my everything.

  16. Can you see the hungry ones out there looking and looking to serve the Lord more and more?
Its a privilege, the other day i heard someone say “i have to go to church.” They easily corrected themselves and sais “i get to go to church” those are the little things i notice in peoples words. You can see the difference between demanding youraelf to go to church or treating yourself by goimg to church. We have to remember church isnt for us though. Im not saying it was bad the individual said that by all means praise the Lord hallelujah it tickeled me to hear someone say such a thing. Church is for the sick in need to “come see a man” a miraculous man. A man that can do anything for anyone that truly believes and has no doubt whats so ever. Jesus was walking on water and Peter tried the same after the Lors told him to but Peter fell through. Because he had little faith. Because he doubted himself.
4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
    God can do anything.
Give him praise for being who he is this morning.
    God bless you all!!

  17. I Love To Worship The Lord
    A Petition For Rescue
This brief urgent prayer appeals to God to respond in view of the psalmists desperate
    Vs-4
David called the people of God those who seek Him and love His salvation to be happy in him. We sense that it would be impossible for David to do this unless he also found some measure of joy and gladness in God despite his urgent problem

  18. 1 Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.
When you are having troubles where and who do you turn to? Turn to Jesus he is the one that will help you in your time of need and will stick closer than a brother.

  19. Psalms 70:4 (NLT)
“But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “God is great!”

GOD IS GREAT and GREATLY TO BE PRAISED!

  20. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

David is vacillating between the “pity me” syndrome and praise. This is how the enemy trips people up so many times. Instead of vacillating, keep your focus. In the good or the bad, God is still God and He is able to bring you through the storm. When Peter walked on the water, he took His eyes off Jesus and that’s when he began to sink. Keep reading, keep praying, keep focused.

  21. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

    HALELUJAH!!! BE EXALTED OH LORD

  22. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying

Let all the people of GOD rejoice and be glad for God has giving us a new day he woke us up this morning thank u Jesus

  23. 5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying.

David has continued to ask for God’s divine intervention and Ps 51:17 says “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” The parable of the unjust judge also teaches us to keep coming before God with our prayers-don’t quit praying until you see it come to pass.

  24. …O God: thou art my help and my deliverer…

If we know and understand that God is our help and deliver who never leaves us but allows us to learn; why is it so easy to give up? I have been there. I still fight the notion that God has forsaken me. I still argue with Jesus that He has placed too much of a burden on me; I cannot bare this. I know the Bible states He would not do that. I know the Bible states He loves and me and would never forsake me. Why then is it so easy to be offended by God when He is trying to work in our lives?

I believe our sorrows are broken down into three groups; the hurts others have done to us, the hurts we have done to ourselves, and the hurts because God. Are we quicker to forgive other people who hurt us but hold God “accountable” longer? Sometimes – not all the time – people hurt other people for their own selfish gains. God never does this. He has a plan for our lives. We may not fully understand what God wants from us, thus our frustrations over what we consider to be direct punishment or hurts coming from God.

God doesn’t promise deliverance from or avoidance of all pain. He does not always intervene to keep us far from hurt or harm. But in the times when we do hurt, he comforts us in the midst of our troubles. Sometimes he strengthens us through the kindness of others. Sometimes he brings a sense of peace that we could never imagine on our own. Or maybe through, a well-timed word of encouragement, he reassures us that we’re going to be okay, that He loves us.

  25. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

This is a new day, and His mercy is made new! That is just two reasons for us to rejoice and be glad in Him!!

  26. 4. Let all those that seek the rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. 5. But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying. I will be glad in you O LORD !!!! I will rejoice, and magnify your name !!!!

  27. Psalm 70 LET GOD BE MAGNIFIED!

v.70:4 Let all those same that seek thee rejoice and be glad on thee: And let such as live thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

  28. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

  29. Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.5. But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying

The Lord protects his children and never fails to deliver them. When we cannot go on any more on our own, our soul cries out in desperation to the only that can deliver us. We rejoice in that he is an on time God. In the midst of trials, we may not understand everything but I know he has never left nor forsaken me. He brings me through the darkest valleys so that I may shine his glory to all around for what he has brought me through! May I never become ungrateful and unthankful, nor give myself the credit for all he has done, is doing and will do in my life and the lives of those I love!!!

  30. when someone you have entrusted threatens us or disapoints us we feel as if we have a void. when they break that trust we placed with them they also break our spirits. But if run to the lord and not the empty things of this world God will be your aid and will fill that void, so cry out to the lord.

  31. 5 But as for me, I am poor and needy; please hurry to my aid, O God.
You are my helper and my savior; O LORD, do not delay.

During times of trouble, we wish the troubles would just vanish and go away. We ask God for, and he will deliver. We must have patience and wait upon the Lord.

  32. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

Every day weather it be a good day are a bad day we should rejoice and magnify the Lord.

  33. But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “God is great!”
    Psalms 70:4 NLT

Search, Love, shout! It takes action to have any kind of relationship and blessing with God. We cannot expect to reap all the blessing without any action towards the Lord. We have to seek him, we have to love Him and praise Him. Just like any relationship we pursue in action and show our love.

  34. Josiah: 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad… We reap what we sow. God blesses those that seek. For the Bible says to ask and you shall receive. For those that love God are the humble ones. Many times from what I have seen some of the humblest people are ones who are strong in the Lord and love and seek His word. We just have to ask and to obey His word. For I can be glad in the Lord for my house is built on the rock. My foundation is based on his word. I can be part of that city that is set on hill. A part of a church that outreaches. I can let my light shine. I can be of a God loving heart. A person who loves to learn more. A person who hath ears that hear. Yet all the glory is to God. BLESSED BE HIS GLORIOUS NAME!

  35. Hurry!

Pressing needs call for fervent prayers, and David doesn’t hesitate to add a sense of urgency in his requests for help. His “Hurry up, God!” is not a frantic, fearful demand but a proclamation of his faith that God, his sure help and deliverer (Ps 70:5), will indeed come through for him. David knows help is on its way and anticipates his rescue. When we are in urgent need, we can cry out in vulnerability and faith, “Lord come quickly!” as David did so many times before us (Ps 22:19; 31:2; 38:22; 40:13; 141;1). And we can be confident in the Lord’s promise of ultimate deliverance, “Behold, I am coming soon!” (Rev 22:7).

  36. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

Let everything that has breath praise your holy name. I’m alive because you died for me. I glorify your holy name.

  37. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

There are blessings when we seek after God. Yet I’m greatful that He’s so wonderful that I can seek Him for more than what He’s done but for who He is.

When we magnify God in our lives, church, and region there will be no place for the enemy; for a space is occupied.

  38. All of my help comes from God. He is my strength when I am weak. With the Lord on our side, we remain victorious.

  39. “Let them be horrified by their shame, for they said, “Aha! We’ve got him now!” But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “God is great!””
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭70:3-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    Where’s your “Aha!” moment?

Is it when you’ve got away with the wrong doing?
Or is it when you’ve found the true love of God for yourself?

We are responsible for leading people to their Aha moment in the Lord! And this weekend is a great opportunity to invite everyone to celebrate Jesus and find the true Aha! moment!

  40. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.(Psalms 70:4 KJV)

Let all those who seek and praise the Lord rejoice and be glad in God and(For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
    John 3:16 KJV)

  41. 1 Hasten, O God, to save me;
come quickly, Lord, to help me.

He sure did!!! He saved me just in time of being bound by more evil spirits. Before He saved me I knew where I wanted to go, be, and do!!!! and trust me none of those plans had God in it!!! But because of His love and mercy He saved me and helped me understand His scriptures. He opened my eyes and I began to feel like if I had been living a lie this whole time. There were times where I didn’t want to leave certain things like (pants, makeup, jewelry, dancing, partying, etc.) but He helped me see the big curse that I would have on me if I didn’t obey His Word!!! I was 18 when I got introduced to the Gospel by my hubby 🙂 I was ready to live the “party college life” but God said…..”For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. Isaiah 55:8

Thank you Jesus for establishing my steps to where I am now. I never saw myself being where I am now, but there is no better place Lord!!! Thank You!!!

  42. 5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying.

Monetary poor and needy is not the only situation to need help with. There are times when people become spiritually and emotionally poor and needy as well. No matter which poor and needy you possess, God can help and deliver you. I thank the Lord that he is my deliverer, friend, helper, and healer. He is faithful. We just need to wait on him.

  43. 5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying.

My rock and salvation is also my deliver. I’m delivered from all sin through his name and asking forgiveness, for he holds me under his arms in times of trouble and hardship. Things come after us but when we call on the name it is what comes like a rushing doctor in an ER. Praise the lord and God Bless!

  44. 1 Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.
5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying.

When I think on these verses, I am reminded that when we need a need, we want God to act now. Make haste, or come quickly, is our prayer and our desire. As I pray for God to act now, I want to remember not only could God act in an instant, God could also take time answering our prayers. For God moves at the perfect time, so when I remember this, I am reminded once again to wait upon the Lord, while praying, knowing God will act in the perfect time and way for me.

  45. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

I will sing of your love forever!

  46. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

This is a good reminder to me that I should be seeking God in all that I do! Everything I do should show forth His glory. Reading this Psalm reminds me of 1 Peter 2:9-10.
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:  Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”
It is only through His love and His grace that I have salvation. It is this same salvation that people in this world need! I need to GO and reach the lost and show His goodness, so that others may also rejoice in Him!

  47. Please, God, rescue me! Come quickly, Lord , and help me.
    Psalms 70:1 NLT

If there is something that will catch God’s attention, it is a desperate heart that seeks after Him.

  48. “Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord. Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭70:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What I enjoy the most about David is his transparency. The word says that David was a man after gods own heart. He was very real with God. He also sought God with all his mind and his heart. He also expressed complete dependence on him. I feel that is what God desires that we fully trust and depend on him every day needs.

  49. 5 But I’ve lost it. I’m wasted.
        God—quickly, quickly!
Quick to my side, quick to my rescue!
        God, don’t lose a minute.

    Quick to repent!

One of David’s most notable traits was his willingness to repent immediately after he had sinned. He wasted no time mending his ways before God. There many Psalms that speak of his lament while in the middle of his looting.
Even as king, he would tear his garments and dress in sack cloths repented before God. God spoke that he was man after his own heart. A man that even though he was not perfect, knew how to repent.
The thing about repentance that we miss at times is that when it is done truthfully, it breaks our pride, our arrogance, our self-sufficiency to truthfully repent.

Like Jeff Arnold said, “We need to get our of our own way and let God be lifted up”
