Psalm Chapter 90

40 Days of FIRE – Day 6

The psalmist challenges us here to live each day with PURPOSE. Life is so frail and short in comparison to eternity. Let us number our days and MAKE EACH DAY COUNT that we may Go in Purpose. Living each day in wisdom (the application of knowledge). Pray for wisdom to not take our lives for granted but to live each day purposefully.

Psalm 90

Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.

In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.

For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.

Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.

12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

13 Return, O Lord, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.

16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.

17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

  1. Verse 1 AMP “Lord, You have been our dwelling place [our refuge, our sanctuary, our stability] in all generations.” 1 Corinthians 3:11 AMP “for no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

Verse 12 CEV “Teach us to use wisely all the time we have.” Same verse NLT “Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.” Same verse NIV “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Matthew 7:24-27 AMP “So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, will be like a wise man [a far-sighted, practical, and sensible man] who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods and torrents came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them, will be like a foolish (stupid) man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods and torrents came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great and complete was its fall.”

  2. 2. Before the mountains were born, before you gave birth to the earth and the world, from beginning to end, you are God.

    12. Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom. NLT

Two of the many lessons in this chapter are:
    1. God is eternal – He’s always has been God, always will be
    2. Our time on Earth is not – we have an appointed time to come and go

We must count our days, and make our days count.

  3. 12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

We only have a few days on this earth. We must be diligent in the Lord’s work.

  4. For you, a thousand years are as a passing day, as brief as a few night hours.
    Psalms 4: 90 NLT

  5. Psalms 90:11-13 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? Even according to thy fear so is thy warth. So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Return O Lord, how long? And let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

The afflictions of thr saints often come from God’s love but thr rebukes of sinners and of believers for their sins must be seen coming from the displeasure of God. Secret sins are known to God and shall be reckoned for.

  6. Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.
    Psalms 90:12 NLT
Teach oh God lead us to you awesome place everyday we try to be more and more like we want to grow in you

  7. 14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.

Psalms 84:11 “No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly…
When we stop to see what Jesus has done for us, and we think of all that it took to get us where we are today… As for me I am glad even for the days where I was afflicted.

  8. 1 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

How true this statement is. God is God, from the beginning of time, till the end of time to come. He was, is ,and always will be the God of my salvation. Why do we worry so, when the God who spun the earth into orbit, and caused the universe to be so massive. How can we not see that God is with us. As science goes, the world tries to disprove the existence of God. Yet the further they go in this matter, the more they prove that God is real.
In vs.1 it states that God has been our dwelling place. And if you really think about that for a moment. You will realize how true that statement really is. Because G9d spoke this world into existence. So therefore we are living on God’s words. We build with them, we use them. Everything that we see is a spoken word of God. The only thing God did not speak into existence was you and me. So why do we find it so hard to believe in God’s Word. The letter to man kind for us to us. He is our dwelling place.

  9. Josiah: 12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
This verse shows us how little time we really have. Our life is like a breath on a cool Fall day. There and then gone. This is why we need to GO do something. Yet the next part of the verse says “that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Yet if we GO do something that is worldly then what is the good reward. We need to GO “apply our hearts to wisdom”. 2 Timothy 2:15 says we need to GO “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of God.” We need to GO do that good work. To be that workman who is not ashamed and aplly our hearts unto wisdom by obeying God’s word and being that city set on a hill. SO LET US GO IN THE NAME OF JESUS. LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD. PRAISE YE THE LORD!

  10. 17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

Lord let the world see You reflected in my life. Let Your peace be portrayed everywhere today. Every challenge allow it to be a learning a drawing closer to
You as our life leads others into
    Your presence. In Jesus name.
There are those who have never felt what we felt last night. There is hope for this world we must share it everywhere we go.
Peace righteousness joy in the Holy Ghost.

  11. Hannah: “1 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. 2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.” He is the place that I run to and the place where I rest. He is my God and I will serve him forever. He has made everything and his works are marvelous. No one can do what he does and he is the one I lean upon. Even in my most distress he is there as well as when I am the happiest. He will always be there for everyone and he will not deseart his people. My desire is that I never stop going to him and that I always serve him.

  12. Let the beauty of the Lord be upon us, and stabling thou the work of our hands, upon us,yea, the work of our hands stablish it.
Lord I want to know if the works of my hand in this season are please tell to you, and if not show me of God your right ways… and stables it. ( my prayer)

  13. DONT TAKE GOD FOR GRANTED

12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

We are instructed here in Psalm 90 to prayerfully approach each day and to not take life and the favor of GOD for granted. To number our days means to make every day count for JESUS. We daily see opportunity to waste time, talent and treasure.

However as we purpose our lives to reflect the Glory of GOD to our lost world, we will consider each day as an opportunity to apply our hearts to wisdom and not give way to time wasters, energy consumers or resource drainers.

To make each day count eternally we must seek GOD for the day. We number our days when we do this. Purpose today to seek the LORD and ask HIS direction and instructions and obey HIS voice instead of asking GOD to Bless what you are doing.

GOD has a purpose for each day and we should seek HIS will and ways so we DONT TAKE GOD FOR GRANTED.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  14. 12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

A recent loss of a dear friend, makes one realize along with this verse, how short life can be. How so unexpectedly our numbered days could come to an end. Continue teaching me Lord, help me to apply my heart unto wisdom. Life is often so easily taken for granted – teach us God to number our days and live each day according to Your will, to live each day with purpose and gratitude.

  15. 4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
12 Teach us to number our days aright that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us, yes establish the work of our hands.

  16. Secret Sins – My sin does not hurt anyone else
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

Sometimes it is hard to realize that there are no “small” sins. All sin brings separation from God. Most of us are familiar with the sins of the flesh listed in Galatians 5. Maybe we are not having an affair or practice witchcraft but look closer at the list. “…hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar…”

WOW – what a list! If I did not like what Pastor preached and start holding a grudge against what he spoke, I am opening myself up to these secret sins. Likely, if something was preached it is God ringing our bell to alert us of something that is miss-aligned and needs to be straightened out. If we find ourselves in a position of disagreement with our Pastor we should first consider the details of our offense and pray over the situation. If prayer does not highlight the root or deliver us from our ill feelings, speak with Pastor in person.

The worst thing we can do is hide our hurt. It will fester and become a much worse issue with deep roots of bitterness and hatred. Before long we will find our secret sin has destroyed our life. We all know that we are members of the body of Christ. So, if our life is destroyed, what other members may become infected with our sin? If our elbow is hurt, our hand and fingers usefulness are degraded. Maybe we do not consider ourselves an elbow. Maybe we don’t think we are that important.

How about a fingernail. Seems insignificant to the proper operation of a human body. However, if your fingernail is hurt – the finger it is attached to becomes less productive. In fact, the entire hand will now suffer because of an insignificant finger nail.

  17. 12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

As our prayer for today is for us to make each day count it is vital that we do this daily. Everyday we are racing with time….time that we are loosing for a soul to get baptized, repent, get the HG, save them from the pits of hell, free them from the bondages, etc. We can’t live life like if we know when God is coming or when souls are going to die. We have to spread the gospel everywhere we go. We can’t be judgemental of who will and won’t come. If a lady came to church from an invitation left in a chicken packet I believe everybody can come. That testimony has led me and motivated me to everywhere I go leave a card in their cars, the store, houses, personally, thru media, there is just no telling how people will come but we have to do it. Recently I’ve been leaving cards in cars in the apts where I live and just yesterday coming to church we got on the car and I have never seen a flyer been left in my car in a year and there was a coupon for a strip club left in our car. As we laughed I told the devil okay you wanna play this game.?! ItS ON!!! Which is okay cuz he already lost anyways….so Jr and I put cards on the cars and will continur to keep putting them. Your not winning devil. My God has the VICTORY!!!

  18. A New Day

14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
A lot better n life is how you receive it. If we would begin each day knowing that just the fact that we have awaken from our slumber is a demonstration of God’s Mercy upon us then we will rejoice on each and everyday God has decided to bless us with. We all live in borrow time. James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

  19. iLove to Go Blog
“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants. O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.”
    Psalms 90:12-14

Wow, if we really looked at life through the eyes of this scripture we might be more happy. Yep, if we took a step back and said, “Hum…I only have 1,095 days to live…I better make the best of today”. We need God to satisfy us early with mercy so we can rejoice and be glad and live the best lives possible while we are here on this earth. I choose to rejoice and be glad.

  20. 1 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

Oh WOW! What was it like in the years before! They had the fuel and the fire was ablaze. The lord was there refuge in the 1700’s 1800’s 1900’s he has and will be the only refuge. He is the very first foundation that everything has been laid upon. The beginning was made by him and only him so he has been known since the beginning.

  21. 10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
This shows us that our days are only 70-80 years if we are to live a full life and then our life passes away… Only what we do for Christ will last. Only what we do for the kingdom will be permanent. We must serve with everything we got because if we dont we will turn around and it will be time to leave this life for eternity. Lets make the most of today.

  22. Let us, your servants, see you work again; let our children see your glory. And may the Lord our God show us his approval and make our efforts successful. Yes, make our efforts successful!
    Psalms 90:16‭-‬17 NLT

That is a big prayer of mine. God, I want my children to see Your glory. I want them to know You, love You, call in You, walk with You. We are trying our best train them up in the way they should go. Make our efforts successful, LORD! In Jesus name!

  23. 12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

As the prayer focus said today we need to live purposefully and not take for granted the life God has given us, they only way to do that is to seek the will of the Lord to be done in our life each and every day. Let’s GO in purpose and with wisdom!

  24. 12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

13 Return, O Lord, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.

  25. 9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

Each day we are writing a new page in the story of our life. What is that page telling others about our Savior? Do we portray our life as meaningless, purposeless, or do we portray our life as a joy filled journey that everyone should be living? Knowing who we are (a child of the KING) and knowing our purpose sets a stage everyday for us to be about the KINGS business. It’s a joy knowing Jesus, walking with Him, talking with Him and having Him reciprocate His love and commune with us through His word. I choose to GO Purposefully today and share the joy of living for Jesus with others.

Reminds me of an older song:

When anyone looks at me, let them see Jesus.
Let me be a reflection of His love and mercy to them
When they start to read my life’s story,
I want it to bring my Savior glory
When anyone looks at me, let them see Him.

  26. 16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.

17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

    Amen!

  27. Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives.
    Psalms 90:14 NLT

Many people feel void in their heart that they try to fill with all kinds of things. Some try things of the world like pleasures, relationships, drugs, sin lifestyle…but all still leaves emptiness. It is the unfailing love of God that satisfies the human soul. It is His Spirit that gives us true joy. Let this and every other day be one where we are filled with Him that we may live our lives with joy.

  28. 17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

Whatever it is we do we need to make sure its for God or the kingdom of God. Everyday it seems a new revelation comes to me. Somwthing new to do for the kingdom of God something new I can do to let Gods spirit shine brighter through me so more people will question me about the Almighty. Theres nothing more if rather talk about than Jesus
Dont take today for granted if you feel like youve had a spiritual break through in FACT KEEP IT BURNING. Today tell someone how powerful God is to boost their faith, tell someone what God can and will do.

    God bless you all!

  29. LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. 2. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. 3. Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men. 4. For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. Thank you Jesus !!!! I magnify you !!!! I glorify you !!!! I lift you up !!!! I praise you !!!!

  30. Psalms 90:17, “And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.”

GO WORK for the kingdom of God.

  31. 17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands. NKJV
Well, says right here in this verse to GO WORK!!! God wants us to work for his kingdom, not to be lazy. Share what we have with others.

  32. 7 For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.
9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
13 Return, O Lord, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

I wonder how much we pray and become angry at the things that anger God. I don’t think that’s what the psalmist his talking about here but it makes me think about how much we need to be praying that we become emnety with the world. I flesh strongly desires to be in soon while the spirit rages on to become closer to God. The Book of James clearly says that friendship with the world is enmity with God, which indicates that we need to become closer with God to become energy with the world while loving the people in it. It’s a lot easier to resist the flesh when we understand the consequences and the hatred that God has for sin.

  33. 12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

When we are young, it seems life is always ahead of us and it takes ‘forever’ to turn 16, then 21 and so forth. But these are especially the days to seek wisdom-in our youth. Bad decisions made young can greatly harm your days to come, robbing you of the joy God intends for you. Realize the need to make godly choices, wise choices now.

  34. So many people today walk around and wonder, what is my purpose? As children of the most high, we have a purpose and perspective that goes beyond natural understanding… and it is not fleeting or changing in nature because, ‘Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.’ We serve a God that does not change! The same spiritual foundation that secured the souls of the apostles is available to us today if we just purpose in our hearts to pursue it! And it is still just as effective today!

We don’t have to worry about the solidity of the rock of truth upon which that foundation is established because we serve an eternal God with an eternal perspective! ‘Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God….For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.’ We know his ways are higher than our own but just consider the perspective of one who could look at a thousand years of our efforts as if it were yesterday. And that same God purposed our salvation before the mountains themselves were ever brought forth… before he ever took the time to form the earth he took the time to secure salvation for those he would breath life into. O that I would purpose in my heart to follow him!

Let us purpose in our hearts not only to follow him, but to accomplish something for him and his kingdom to demonstrate our love and obedience! Let God ‘teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.’ With such a limited amount of time, can we make each day count! Can every day make a difference? The psalmist thinks so, popular speakers even in the world think so, so can the people of God with the fullness of the power of God’s spirit available to us so the same! ‘And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.’ He will establish our walk and even the very works of our hands if we will just purpose in our hearts to allow him that liberty, to give him the time in our life to do so, to submit to the will and direction of God’s spirit, to just allow God to be the God in our life we declare him to be!

  35. 14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

We should be glad that God gives us his mercy and grace. And that we should rejoice in God and be cheerful very day.

  36. 12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
It can be very easy to get caught up in the worldly notion of living life to the fullest and only focusing upon temporal benefits, whether or health, education, financial ability, possessions or even social standing. All the while losing focus and missing the true meaning of living life to the fullest. To truly live life to the fullest is to be walking in the way of God and obeying his will for our lives. He desires us to lay up our treasures in heaven where they will neither be stolen, worn, or destroyed. He wants us to bring others to this precious truth so that they can also have eternal life with him.
This life is only a fleeting vapor compared to all of eternity. We must be very aware of each and every day that Jesus has given to us and not forsake a moment to witness of his precious life saving truth that he unselfishly and willingly gave his life for so that we may be with him for all of eternity.

  37. 9 We live our lives beneath your wrath, ending our years with a groan. -NLT
9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told -KJV
We live our lives in sin, making God angry, we become someone that doesn’t make God happy, we become fake to ourselves and God. But yet he gives us an other day of life, so merciful.

Seventy years are given to us! Some even live to eighty. But even the best years are filled with pain and trouble; soon they disappear, and we fly away. -NLT
We grow spiritually, mentally, and physically over the trials we go through in life, even at the best times it can be hard, but one day, one day we will see God’s face and receive our reward. And all pain will be taken away (hopefully).

  38. To dwell in the Lord is a beautiful thing. Even when things come your way, you can rest easy in Jesus. When we stand with God, the enemy will try to bring you down. We have the authority to put him back in his place and that is beneath us.

  39. 1 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

We must keep God as our dwelling place.

  40. Psalm90:4 (English Amp) For a thousand years in Your sight are but as yesterday when it past, Or as a watch in the night. The lord one day is a thousand years. Its amazing how time and month’s are passing by . Nevertheless, do not let this one fact escape you.

  41. 11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.

12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
God I don’t want to live from day to day without purpose and without wisdom. God teach us especially this day and time that we live in not to not keep the wisdom to ourselves but to pray over our children and all the influences of this world is all around them.

  42. 2 Before the mountains were born
or you brought forth the whole world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God. NIV

Our God is an everlasting God!

  43. I Love to Worship The Lord
    Friday Mornig Prayer
The first 2 FriDay morning prayer has been so alsome. For my self I have really grown in these prayers. Have you ever walked into a prayer meting and started praying and with in minutes you or in the spirit? That’s what it’s been Like not only that it keeps getting stronger with different God lead avenews of prayer.
    Vs 3-6
Human beings in contrast to God have only momentary existence on Earth

  44. 2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

You know one thing holds true, if God ever stopped being God everything would cease to exist. Before there was anything there was God and without Him there would be nothing but darkness. The moment we forget:
    1. He made the earth which is our natural dwelling place
2.He is our “spiritual place” -for in Him we live and breath and have our being
    3. He is our mind for we are to have the Mind of Christ.
there would be no need for our existence without Him.

The old song says “it’s all in Him” and this was true before the song was written and will hold true throughout eternity.

  45. JESUS you are God . There’s no God before you and there’s no God after you . Because you are here forever . Teach us the true meaning of Life . We were created to praise you. Remind us that this world is not our home . That we are just passing through .

  46. 12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Reading this Psalm I am reminded of how short of a time that we have here on this earth. There are so many things in this world that can take up so much time if I let them. So I need to be sure that as I live in this busy world that I am always making sure that it does not take away from my walk with God! I need to be sure that I am always making the best of the time that I have to work in God’s kingdom! I can always be witnessing to those around me and showing the light of Jesus Christ.

“For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.” – 1 Corinthians 3:9

  47. v14 O satisfy us early with the mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our our days.

Thanks be to GOD that we, Gentiles were once s people without mercy, but now we have received mercy through JESUS CHRIST and the new – birth experience that HE has made possible.

  48. Psalm 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom

Psalm v.4 Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail Iam.

  49. 4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

We have to take time for our families or it will all be as yesterday. The memories of a past life that was swept away by business and toil. There are always more things to do than we have time for so the world wants to rob us of the precious time with our families. The enemy is afraid of a strong family. We have to prioritize our lives so that the most important things don’t just slip through the cracks. Love God with all your heart and spend time with your family sharing that love. If you teach your kids how to do that they will be soul winners without even trying. Genuine love is not free, it comes with a price that only you can give yourself and it cost more than money. Your time is irreplaceable and is precious to those that you give it to.

  50. “Seventy years are given to us! Some even live to eighty. But even the best years are filled with pain and trouble; soon they disappear, and we fly away.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭90:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We all face pain and trouble. No one is excluded. Just as the scripture says To Everything this is a Season. We must go through each Season as it prepares us for the next.

  51. “Teach us to realize how short our lives are. Then our hearts will become wise.”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭90:12‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

Lord, I pray that everything we do each and everyday has a Kingdom Purpose. That we would respond to Your call. Give us a burden for the lost. I pray for the laborers.

  52. 2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

We are God’s creation. He is the author of or lives.

  53. “So don’t return us to mud, saying, “Back to where you came from!” Patience! You’ve got all the time in the world—whether a thousand years or a day, it’s all the same to you. Are we no more to you than a wispy dream, no more than a blade of grass That springs up gloriously with the rising sun and is cut down without a second thought? Your anger is far and away too much for us; we’re at the end of our rope. You keep track of all our sins; every misdeed since we were children is entered in your books. All we can remember is that frown on your face. Is that all we’re ever going to get? We live for seventy years or so (with luck we might make it to eighty), And what do we have to show for it? Trouble. Toil and trouble and a marker in the graveyard. Who can make sense of such rage, such anger against the very ones who fear you?”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭90:3-11‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Round about verse 8 it talks about how every sin we do is recorded. God is the beat book keeper ever. He has enormous grace and mercy, but he knows all. We never get anything past him. His mercies are new every morning because he KNOWS WHAT WE DO! God knows that if we don’t have new mercy every morning that we would not have enough mercy. Thank you Jesus for your great kindness.

  54. 1 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.
4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

These verses are just awesome to consider as, God has been the strong tower for many people of all generations. God created the world, formed it with his word and yet he still made a place for us, in every generation. How God gave us a choice to follow him, and cares deeply with what happens to us, and that our entire lives are but as yesterday when it is past, brings out a image of how God is everlasting.

  55. 8 You spread out our sins before you—our secret sins—and you see them all.

This statement should put fear into everyone. God lays out all your sins in front of him and you. He’ll probably ask you “start explaining yourself about these sins”. How will you answer, I have know idea what to say. I guess the guilt of committing these sins would come over me. But fortunately, God is merciful, and Jesus died for our many sins. I we just have to ask for forgiveness and repent.

  56. 16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.

17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

Lord your mercy is unconditional. Thank you for mercy and grace.

  57. O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.(Psalms 90:14 KJV)

Oh holy father I come before you with my heart and soul in my hands please be merciful and fulfil the needs of my life and that I will rejoice and be glad in it.!

  58. 15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.

God disciplines those he loves like a Father to his children. We can learn from the mistakes of the sin our forefathers had been punished for. We can rejoice because God grew his people from the days of old unto our generation whom carries the torch. This will upset the enemy because he was counting on us staying down. But rejoice not O mine enemy for though I fall I shall rise and when I sit in darkness my God will be a light unto me Micah 7:8.

  59. O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil. Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.
    Psalms 90:14‭-‬16 KJV

This is where I need to strengthen myself. I have a bad habit of not praying early in the morning: for me seeking God early would make for a better day. I have seen evil and lived evil. Now I want to purpose my heart for the work of the kingdom. god is so awesome in that He will not let his children fall to the wayside. I love the word and this is an awesome Psalm. Let my mind be stayed on you Jesus; transform my spirit to match yours. Let this be the day that the Lord has set me up in the kingdom and to show glory unto You. Thank you Jesus.

  60. 12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

That we may see and feel the urgency!!!
We do not know how many days, we are not counting our days but hopefully we are thanking GOD and living righteously for the Salvation of many will be like RIGHT NOW, ARE counting on us to lead them that they shall be saved!!!
