Acts Chapter 18

40 Days of FIRE – Day 22

Today we meet Aquila and Priscilla, who provided their home for shelter and education for missionaries like Paul and Apollos. Prayerfully ask God that our homes would be an environment for sharing Christ with family, friends and neighbors. Let us also pray for a desire to Go House to House in prayer and the Word.

JESUS today YOU will SAVE me.

Acts 18

After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;

And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.

And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.

And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.

And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.

And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man’s house, named Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.

And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.

Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:

10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

12 And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,

13 Saying, This fellow persuadeth men to worship God contrary to the law.

14 And when Paul was now about to open his mouth, Gallio said unto the Jews, If it were a matter of wrong or wicked lewdness, O ye Jews, reason would that I should bear with you:

15 But if it be a question of words and names, and of your law, look ye to it; for I will be no judge of such matters.

16 And he drave them from the judgment seat.

17 Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment seat. And Gallio cared for none of those things.

18 And Paul after this tarried there yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow.

19 And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.

20 When they desired him to tarry longer time with them, he consented not;

21 But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.

22 And when he had landed at Caesarea, and gone up, and saluted the church, he went down to Antioch.

23 And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went over all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.

24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.

25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.

26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:

28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publicly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.

  1. 6. But when they opposed and insulted him, Paul shook the dust from his clothes and said, “Your blood is upon your own heads-I am innocent. From now on I will go preach to the Gentiles.”

    8. Crispus, the leader of the synagogue, and everyone in his household believed in the Lord. Many others in Corinth also heard Paul, became believers, and were baptized.

As Pastor mentioned last night, when one person or group rejects God’s Word, whether written or spoken, that Word doesn’t die, but remains true for those willing to receive it.

  2. Verses 8-11 MSG “In the course of listening to Paul, a great many Corinthians believed and were baptized. One night the Master spoke to Paul in a dream: “Keep it up, and don’t let anyone intimidate or silence you. No matter what happens, I’m with you and no one is going to be able to hurt you. You have no idea how many people I have on my side in this city.” That was all he needed to stick it out. He stayed another year and a half, faithfully teaching the Word of God to the Corinthians.” We are not alone, for the Lord has many people in this city and more to be added. We must keep GOing and know that the Lord is on our side as Psalm 118:6 CEV says “The Lord is on my side, and I am not afraid of what others can do to me.” Shout with a voice of triumph!

  3. 9 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:

10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

Saved-keep safe or rescue (someone or something) from harm or danger.
    To heal to protect.

God reminds Paul what its all about to be saved.
Its important we break this down to people so dont just think of “we accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our savior” then we are saved. Its much deeper than that its God saving you from your Mind, your Flesh, and your Spirit. Salvation is the complete chrysalis to change your life around and it begins with Faith.

You have to have faith and believe in the Holy ghost to recieve it with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
    Acts 2:38 KJV
I hope everyone has an awesome day
Also the class last night helped me go into further depth with today’s blog so thank you Jesus.
    God bless you all!

  4. One night the Lord spoke to paul in a vision and told him, ” Don’t be afraid! Speak out! Don’t be silent! Acts 18: 9 NLT

  5. Be Not Afraid tho the People Be Many

9 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:

10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

Fear cannot be a part of our life. We will walk into the lives of people who live in the darkest places in their minds. We do have the power to speak peace in the midst of chaos. Everywhere I go on this city I can hear the cries of those who are hurting. I pray that God will use me to reach out continually without fear! The Lord is my strength and my salvation whom shall I fear.
With a sword in our hands and an Acts (axe) 2:38 God’s people will prevail!

Acts 18:24-26 KJV  And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.  (25)  This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.  (26)  And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

There are folks out there teaching and preaching the Word of the Lord boldly and yet are not teaching it “more perfectly.” We need a revival to hit these surrounding churches around town with the Revival of Truth. If only folks would humble themselves and search the scriptures and ask God for his truth.

  7. Acts 18:9-10
    9) Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:
    10) For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

There are much people in the city of Fort Worth that God wants to save.
Therefore we must not be afraid, but speak the Word, and GO in JOY and PEACE.

  8. I Love To Worship The Lord
    Apollos and Johns baptism 18:25
John the Baptist had called for repentance in view of the fact that the messiah would appear soon Apolios knew of and accepted this teaching he simply had not yet herd o n Jesus as

  11. 9 One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision; Do not be afraid; keep on speaking; do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in the city.

  12. 28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publicly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.

The scripture speaks for itself. Some may say they aren’t very persuasive; well pull out the word of God and let God speak for Himself and convince those around you of the truth. All we have to do is know the scriptures to share and be happy about doing it 🙂

  13. 9 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:

10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

There are many people in this city so we mustn’t be afraid. We need to stand bodly and speak the gospel of Jesus Christ!!

  14. 25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publicly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ

Our mission : preach the gospel and lead others to Christ for them to reach more people. It doesn’t get more simple than that. Go to heaven and bring as many people as you can with you.

  15. 8 And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.

Some people believe seeing is believing. It is easier. God is not interested in what is easy, He wants what will last. Thomas needed to see the scars to believe and we get the “B” attitude that blessed are those who believe without seeing. Seeing something has nothing to do with faith and we know that without faith it is impossible to please God.

Hearing and listening are also connected to believing. We often listen to things and build an image in our minds to help us better understand. Maybe we can imagine ourselves on beach or mountain top when someone is describing their latest vacation experiences. Maybe hearing the testimony of someone’s recent prayer being answered inspires us to refocus our prayer efforts for a certain need.

  16. GO WITH CONVINCING WORD

28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publicly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.

Let the church rise today to declare that JESUS is GOD and HE alone is LORD.

As we read and understand the WORD of GOD we should declare to others that JESUS is the Christ our LORD and Savior.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo

  17. 9 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:

10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

God let Paul know that he was loved, protected from harm and should preach the gospel without fear or favor! When God calls a man or woman he puts his anointing and favor upon them. When this happens no one can stop them from fulfilling their purpose.

  18. And after Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul spent all his time preaching the word. He testified to the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah. But when they opposed and insulted him, Paul shook the dust from his clothes and said, “Your blood is upon your own heads—I am innocent. From now on I will go preach to the Gentiles.”
Acts of the Apostles 18:5‭-‬6 NLT

Sometime you may come around someone who doesn’t what hear what you have to but all you can do is pray for them dust them off you did you job by telling them about the wonderful works of JESUS christ now it’s on if they want to receive it or not

  19. MSG – 3 After spending a considerable time with the Antioch Christians, Paul set off again for Galatia and Phrygia, retracing his old tracks, one town after another, putting fresh heart into the disciples.

Paul was concerned about the people that he had converted and found it necessary to go back and check on them, encouraging them and re-igniting the fire for their purpose in their lives.

It’s not hard to spot someone who is discouraged, or perhaps is carrying a heavy load, or perhaps is a new convert and doesn’t understand everything that is going on in the battle against good and evil. Lift them up, encourage them, pray for them. Show them by example how to be strong, bold and to pray through the tests of life to victory every day.

  20. 28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publicly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.

To teach and reach others with the apostolic truth, we must use the scriptures. Show them where baptism was done only in the name of Jesus and explain with scriptures the name of the Father, Son & Holy Ghost is Jesus…it’s his word that will judge us and most denominations don’t know the word of salvation. Go Teach!

  21. 2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.
3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.

These verses remind me of what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:19-22
19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
    20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

Acts chapter 18 is an example of this as Paul became a tentmaker so he could spread the gospel more. May I learn like Paul to be all things to all men, that by all means save some.

  22. 8 And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.

How are people going to believe in God is they don’t hear us talking about Him? We must testify of His GREAT things and they will start believing and get baptized!!! We can’t let the enemy shut us up and feel like people don’t want God! We have to keep preaching, keep doing outreach, keep reading His Word, praying, fasting, etc. We can’t let the enemy have more faith in what we can do than ourselves. I am here to grow the kingdom of God!!!

  23. We often undervalue the breaking of bread from house to house in today’s society. Somewhere along the way society decided it was more convenient to make use of virtual means of keeping in touch. Work demanded more and more to make ends meet and something had to give… unfortunately for many families today it was their time together. That is not too say there is necessarily anything wrong with making use of that technology ourselves.. but when it begins to actually take the place of our fellowship, when personal time with those of like minded faith becomes a precious commodity, perhaps even we of the church have fallen into the same trap.

Paul was breaking ground in many new regions to bring the gospel and often did it from someone’s home, or based himself from their home while he was welcome. The disciples were even sent out by Jesus two by two and instructed to abide with those who received them. There was just something different about being allowed into someone’s home.. something effective in the kingdom. Why do you think it’s called ‘home’ Bible studies… someone has opened their home to the truth and we are breaking the very bread of life in their home to signify a choice to receive something from God.

We can’t afford to lose sight of the value of going from house to house in our fellowship… that’s where relationships in the body are truly strengthened. It provides an opportunity to share our testimonies and discuss so much more of God than we’ll ever have time for in those brief passings in the foyer. Some of my best times as a new convert was just sitting and listening to the discussions of the saints in fellowship and recognizing how much understanding of the word and it’s application to life resided in the hearts and minds of those who serve God. To see that understanding of the word was more than just the responsibility of the pastor or the preacher.. it was something expected of a saint of God.

I’ve long since joined their ranks and enjoy it all the more! I still have friends in the church today whom it is just not possible to sit down and fellowship without breaking open the Word… and often receive calls just to discuss a finer point of scripture. That’s what God intended of his people! It’s not something we’re ever going to receive if church is the only place we truly have time for one another… and yes, it takes time. I once heard it preached that someone saying they don’t have enough time is like a fish in the ocean saying it doesn’t have enough water. All we have is time, and where we choose to spend it shows where our values truly lie.

  24. 5. And when Si’-las and Timo’-the-us were come from Mace-do’-ni-a, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Je’-sus was Christ. 6. And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth I will go unto the Gen’-tiles. 7. And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man’s house, named Jus’-tus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue. Praise ye the Lord !!!! He is Worthy !!!! He is King of all kings !!!! Lord of all lords !!!!

  25. 5 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.
6 And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:
No matter how much rejection to the word of God that we encounter, we can never throw in the towel and simply give up. Paul left the Jews that refused to hear the word of God and went to deliver the gospel to the gentiles who readily received this precious truth. Yet Paul did not give up on the Jews but continued to witness to both Jews and gentiles that would hear. 28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publicly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.
He cared about souls and desired that everyone should be saved. I desire to have that same bring desire to boldly witness to all I encounter and mightily convince them to serve Jesus.

  26. Josiah: 26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
The spirit of Apollos is one that I pray I have. He did not know everything but he gave everything. He was “fervent in the spirit” and spake boldly. He was diligent and taught according to what he knew but when he, Apollos, learned that there was more to the kingdom of God, specifically baptism, he was not of a stubborn heart, but he listened, and learned. He learned and then went with better understanding and the Bible says in verse 28 “For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publicly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.” This spirit of giving all and being of a learning heart and then going with better understanding is what I pray I have. LET US GO IN JESUS NAME! LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD. PRAISE YE THE LORD!

  27. 3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
5 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.

When was the last time you allowed God to move You?

One of my prayers this 40 days of fire, is that I become more in tune with God and allow him to lead me more. Stir in my heart, Lord, what you want me to do. Great alin me a right heart and a willing heart to hear your voice. The test is near. Give was unto the voice of God.
    #GOdosomething

  28. 5 And after Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul spent all his time preaching the word. He testified to the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah.

We too must continue to testify to all that Jesus was the Messiah. Yes, we’ll get push back from nonbelievers, but dont let is deter your message about God. Let us be ready to testify to anyone who may ask about Jesus.

  29. 6 And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
7 And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man’s house, named Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.
8 And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.

  30. 9 One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. 10 For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.”

Who shall we fear, when we are on Gods team! He is always with us! When we are in his house and when we go out and do his work of reach and teaching of his word to the souls in this world, he is right there with us giving us the strength, courage, and faith to reach more people. There are many people in the city of Fort Worth and in Jesus name there is more than 1 that wants to hear about God! Let’s Go out in this city in Jesus name to reach those souls!

  31. We must not be afraid to tell of the goodness of the Lord. When we testify of his goodness , we let the enemy know we are not ashamed. So let’s tell of what the Lord has done in our life and watch God do great things.

  32. 9 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:
10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.
11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

When we are on God’s side, nothing can stand against us! As we have seen in other chapters of Acts, Paul did not always have the freedom to remain in an area and share the gospel because of the discord that it would cause between different people; sometimes even causing Paul to have to leave quickly because of harm that would come to him. Remembering this, it is truly a miracle of God that He kept Paul safe from harm and he was able to teach the gospel for 1.5 years! If Paul was able to stay there by faith, knowing that there were Jews in the area who opposed his teaching so much that they would blaspheme God; how much more can we do here in Fort Worth! How many souls can we reach out to and share the gospel of Jesus Christ too, when we don’t have anywhere near the amount of persecution Paul and so many around the world today face! I need to GO with God and GO reach the lost!

  33. 9 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:

10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

God will speak in the night!

When you are faithful to the things of God and continue to do His work He will speak even in our night times. God is not a God that will refuse to speak in the darkest moments of our lives. For He is alive and well and He will speak. It may not be when we want Him to but like the saying goes “it will be right on time”

  34. Stay close to the church.

7 And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man’s house, named Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.

Being close to the church eliminates a lot of excuses that one may have. Staying connected with the church is crucial to know what the spirit is doing. There is just something about being close!

  35. 26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

Go teach more perfectly. Sometimes when we notice some that may need some further instruction it is wise to take the example of Aquila and his wife. Take them in private and explain teach in love and correct as needed. Not as some who may ridicule or put to shame in public. The first will gain you trust. Also the person receiving instructions must show to have a humble teachable spirit. When things are done in love it is more likely to have a good and desired outcome.

  36. 9 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:

10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

Sometimes the way God has shown us. We tend to get nervous even afraid. But be still know that God has sent you there for a reason know that he is God.

  37. Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:

Our God is the God who answers in the Night or Day. He is even the God who answer by FIRE! He is the one true God. It’s easy to get distracted by the darkness of your trial, but BE NOT AFRAID. Have Peace.

  38. “But when Gallio became governor of Achaia, some Jews rose up together against Paul and brought him before the governor for judgment. They accused Paul of “persuading people to worship God in ways that are contrary to our law.” But just as Paul started to make his defense, Gallio turned to Paul’s accusers and said, “Listen, you Jews, if this were a case involving some wrongdoing or a serious crime, I would have a reason to accept your case. But since it is merely a question of words and names and your Jewish law, take care of it yourselves. I refuse to judge such matters.” And he threw them out of the courtroom.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭18:12-16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It’s seems like most of the book of Acts Paul is being falsely accused. And the enemy is wanting to kill him, bring judgment and cause distraction. But I am reminded of the “Keep Digging” message. We may face contention and strife but we must keep digging and singing “spring up oh well spring up” God is making room for POFW to be fruitful! Let us remain focused on God! Don’t worry about the winds and waves! Keep your eyes on the prize and Keep Digging!

“And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the Lord hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.”
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭26:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  39. 9 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:

10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

Let’s not be ashamed or afraid to share the gospel! God is with us and is in control! All things work for His glory and our good!

  40. v 6 And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; ,I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.

We, too, are accountable to GOD for truth that HE has placed in our hands.

  41. “Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭18:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Sometimes in our nights, the darkest times that we are in, we are going to need to watch and listen fo be Lord to encourage us. He will give us hope and encouragement that what we are doing is good. It will give us the atrength to go through our night and see miracles through the trials.

  42. One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision and told him, “Don’t be afraid! Speak out! Don’t be silent! For I am with you, and no one will attack and harm you, for many people in this city belong to me.”
Acts of the Apostles 18:9‭-‬10 NLT

Praise the LORD! What a word from God to not give up or be scared.

  43. Acts 18:9 English Amp) And one night the Lord said to Paul in a vision, Have no fear. But speak and do not keep silent; For I am with you, And no man shall assault you to harm you, For I have many people in this city.Wow what good word from our God, I not going to give up, Either be sacred about anything that’s going on in the world . God has control of all of it. Praise the Lord.

  44. On Paul’s second missionary journey in Corinth he meets Priscilla and Aquilla, who are tentmakers like Paul. They work well together and over time travel and minister in partnership creating a lasting friendship and bond. In two letters he greets them (Ro 16:3, 2Ti 4:19) and in a letter to Corinth he sends greetings (1Co 16:19). Paul calls them “fellow workers in Christ” (Ro 16:3) a couple that risked their lives for him and other believers (Ro 16:3-4). Now that’s friendship! A display of Jesus’ love, that would lay down his life for a friend (John 15:13). One of God’s greatest gifts is friendship. Our friends become part of our lives, just as Aquilla and Priscilla become apart of Paul’s. Ministers together working for the kingdom that rejoice with us in our moments of victory and blessing and weep with us in times of sorrow and pain. Thank God for such a wonderful gift.

  45. Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.(Acts 18:9‭-‬10 KJV)

God will always have our back when we are on a mission for him. Paul needs the encouragement that only God can give him. For the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision telling Paul that not to be afraid, but to speak with confidence and boldness within him and to not hold his peace.

  46. Acts 18:6 But when they opposed Paul and became abusive, he shook out his clothes in protest and said to them, “Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent of it. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”
This is one of the reasons why many people do not want to go and support the out reach efforts of the church. We as a culture are very afraid of rejection. We get discouraged by Bad mouthing, cursing, smell of alcohol, and cleave rudeness.

Paul gave us the greatest example of what we should do. The reality is, they are not rejecting us. They are rejecting Jesus. Every time we stand at a doorway, or in front of a believer, we need to stand up and speak with the understanding that they need what we have badly. We need to understand that the Jesus that abides in us give me the life that makes the death flee from there lives.

  47. Hannah “23 And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went over all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.” It is always important to encourage one another and strengthen each other. You don’t know what that person is going through and you could have that word for them. Always strengthen one another and do not discourage another person in the church or one you are witnessing to.
