Acts Chapter 11

40 Days of FIRE – Day 30

Although persecuted and scattered, the early church continues to share Christ and grow. As our culture becomes more opposed to the Christian faith, we must not become discouraged from telling others about Jesus. Pray for wisdom and boldness as we seek and find daily opportunities to Go Share our faith.

JESUS today YOU will SAVE me.

Acts 11

And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.

And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,

Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.

But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,

I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.

But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.

But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

10 And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.

11 And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Caesarea unto me.

12 And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house:

13 And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;

14 Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

20 And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

22 Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

24 For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.

25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

27 And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:

30 Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

  1. Our privilege as Christians is to be able to get the word of God out to everyone we know. Keeping what God has given us or showed us to ourselves doesn’t fulfil the plan he has for us. We must go and tell others about Christ, so that they might be saved. When you have something good to say it’s hard to keep it to yourself. When God changes your life, that is something good for you to declare to others. You’ll never know if your testimony can help turn someone’s life around unless you tell it.

  2. 3. Circumcised Believers: Why did you violate divine law by associating with outsiders and sitting at the table with them for a meal? This is an outrage! Voice

    Matthew 9:
    10. And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

    11. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?

    12. But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. KJV

It’s ok if the world thinks that what you are doing is an outrage if you are simply doing what Jesus did.

  3. This chapter shows us how important our response is. If Peter, had not listened, been obedient and followed the Lord’s direction, then what? Our response is crucial. If God says “GO” then its “GO”…..without hesitation, without question….that’s where our faith comes in. We may not always understand the direction, or see how in the world this is going to work; but, trust in the Lord and let Him do the miraculous. Proverbs 3:5-6 TLB says ” If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself. In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.” Same verses AMP “Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. [a]In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].”

  4. 8 But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.
9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

James chapter 2 speaks of being partial to others, and having respect more for a man with what he wears and being in danger of judgment of the law. It is very easy to just want to reach the ones who seem to have it all together or fit in today’s society, but what about the others that God called us to reach, the homeless, the ones with their life in a mess, the ones that were downtrodden by life and are at the end of the ropes, those are the ones Christ has sent us to reach. James also teaches that’s true religion, reaching people while they are in affliction. We are called to the highways AND byways. There is enough of Christ in us to reach the ones this world has cast away.

  5. The power of the Lord was with them, and a large number of these Gentiles believed and turned to the Lord.

Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and strong in faith. And many people were brought to the Lord.
Acts of the Apostles 11:21‭, ‬24 NLT

I pray that we put down trivial things and GO forth in Spirit and in Truth, walking in the power and authority of the Holy Ghost that God would work through us to lead multitudes to Him. Help us make ourselves more available for Your purpose. In Jesus name

  6. So the believers in Antoch decided to sen relief to the brothers and sisters in Judea, everyone giving as much as they could. Acts 11: 29 NLT

It is so beautiful to have Unity in giving

  7. 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

This is the connection we should strive for with the Lost. We need to share what Gods doing in our lives and let the Holy Ghost lead us in our words, in our steps. Once the Holy Ghost is flowing nice and good through us the people surrounding us are gonna see that too. You can always tell when someone can feel the presence of God, they either breakdown and start to cry or they begin to get rebellious whenever they are starting to feel conviction. Search for that window opportunity. GO and serve the Lord today.

    God bless you all!

  8. 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

  9. I Love To Worship The Lord
    Tongues
    11=15-17
These verses explane the appearance of tongues in this sistuation. The fact that Gentiles were given this gift just as the apostles had been on Pentecost was proof of Gods acceptance of Gentiles into the church Peters phrase at the begging suggests that the event was not only unusual because it involved Gentiles but also because speaking in tongues was not a common phenomenon in the early church

  10. 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning

Father today I pray that words I speak would be anointed that those I’m speaking to would be filled with the Holy Ghost! Oh that each word spoken would lift up and not teat down. In Jesus Name !

    His Strength is Perfect

  11. 17 And since God gave these Gentiles the same gift he gave us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to stand in God’s way?” (NLT)

God, make me invisible, make us invisible, so when others see us serve, hear us speak, etc., they don’t see us but You. Let Your glory, Your love, Your power shine through us and be evident in our daily attitude and life. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done Lord!

  12. iLove to Go Blog
2 And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him…

There are some really good leadership principles in this chapter. First, we need to realize that Peter was the leader of the Church in Jerusalem at this time. We notice that there was great contention with the church folk about Peter fellowshipping with the Gentiles. Well, these church folks brought great contention to the ears of Peter. Now, the amazing thing is, there wasn’t a great split in the Church. Folks listened to the testimony of the Leader and accepted the truth…even though it went against the traditions they were accustomed to.

  13. Heard the Word

1 And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.

How did the brethren in Judaea here about the Gentiles receiving the Holy Ghost – but by our testimony.

Luke 8:39 Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you. And he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.
2 Timothy 1:8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,

If we do not share our testimonies about what God is doing in our lives; how will the world know? It is our duty to share Jesus. Sharing our testimony doesn’t mean that we will never fail again. Sharing our testimony is simply telling what God has done in our life according to His Word at a specific point in time. It is giving thanksgiving, praise, and glory to God for what God has done.

People can deny Christ, dispute Scripture and ignore prophecy, but they cannot deny, dispute or ignore how God’s transformed our individual lives. Our stories of pain, adversity and overcoming through Christ are meant to serve as a testimony of God’s faithfulness and power.

  14. Acts 11:1-4 & 18
    1) AND the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.
    2) And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,
    3) Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.
    4) But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,

    18) When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Instead of questioning what God is doing, let’s REJOICE in what God is doing in hearts and lives.

  15. 20 And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

These men of God had the hand of God on them and as a result they were blessed and favored of God. When the hand of God is on you there are great things that God can do through you. Let us strive to stay under the guidance and direction of the hand of God and let him direct our paths.

  16. 11:20. And some of them were made of Cyprus and Cyrene, whic when they were come to Antock, spake unto Te Grecians preaching the Lord Jesus
    (21) And THE hand of the Lord was with them……
——- sometimes we tend to make distinctions and we pick and choose on whom we ought or fell like talking to.. witness to ….
I pray for discernment, boldness and wisdom on how to speak , share the word to other being guided by the Holy Ghost and not my own perceptions….
Also for a constant desire ( fire …) to continue walking in his ways obeying and doing HIS WILL. ( here is your vessel oh Lord).
    In Jesus name, amen.

  17. Soon the news reached the apostles and other believers in Judea that the Gentiles had received the word of God.
Acts of the Apostles 11:1 NLT
It is our job as believe of God to go out and that the good new I want everyone to know about the wonderful works of JESUS christ

  18. “So if God gave them the same gift he gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could stand in God’s way?””
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭11:17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Who am I? Who are we to think that it is all because of us that a soul gets filled with the Holy Ghost, who are we to think it is us that does it all and not God? Yes God honors our faith and sacrifice and moves upon that, but it is not we ourselves who gives the Holy Ghost. It through the power He gives us that a moving of the Spirirt takes place, we would be nothing without Him. And shame on us if we ever try to take credit for His works! Lord it’s not because of who we are but because of what You’ve done, and it’s not because of what we’ve done but because of who You are!!

  19. Our testimony should never “get old.” Sharing what Jesus has done for us should be our focus to everyone we meet. We never know what people are going though and something we say may spark hope in their life. Share the good news and then have open ears to listen to them.

The disciples turned the world upside down by telling what they had seen and heard, over and over again. Let it out, it doesn’t do anyone any good to keep your testimony to yourself.

  20. GO WITH THE HAND OF GOD

We are wise to always know that the Hand of the LORD is with us. The hand of the LORD being with them was the key to a great number believing and turning to JESUS.

We can all prepare ourselves to be used by GOD.

    1. Be a good person.
    2. Be FULL of the Holy Ghost
    3. Be FULL of FAITH

These 3 attributes in our lives will will open the door to much people being added to the LORD.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo

  21. 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

He shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost and Fire. Be baptized in the water and the spirit. Be joyful. Know that he is God and God alone. Plain and simple. Repent be baptized in Jesus get the Holy Ghost.

    #GOdosomething

  22. 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

Salvation is the same today just as it began in the Book of Acts. Jude wrote to remind the church that we have a common salvation in verse 3 and the religious world today ignores it. I pray that the region of Ft. Worth have a revival of knowledge of the new birth experience just like it is written in Acts 2:38.

  23. 16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

Jesus clearly demonstrated that his message was for all people. He preached in Samaria and to the Greeks even the Romans,. There for the Apostles should not have been so astonished.

  24. The primary purpose of the church is to share the gospel with those in need of salvation. If we’re not sharing his gospel with the lost then what are we doing? What is our purpose in the kingdom? What difference are we making in the world around us? We should take every opportunity we can to share the gospel and see what God will do!

Those in need aren’t always those we would expect as we see here in the example of Peter. He didn’t want anything to do beyond the bounds of his traditions , ‘And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house:’ God had something he wanted to accomplish that was beyond Peter’s expectations. We need to be willing to go in the same fashion and to share to all who are willing and allow God to bring the increase.

Notice that Peter took others with him. Seven men went together in unity to see what God was going to do. It certainly helped when he had to explain to the rest of the brethren but we can take advantage of that same example. If we’re unsure of how to go about it, if we need a boost in our confidence, if we just need some moral support to take that step of faith… GOD NEVER SAID WE HAD TO DO IT ALONE. Take someone with you, of like-minded faith, and go share the gospel together! Support one another and then share that testimony with the rest of the body and interest our faith to do the same!

  25. 1 And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.
How are people going to know about God unless we open our mouth and tell them. Sometimes we just have to live right and people will ask us about God, we have to make sure we are prayed up and spit white and talk right. A girl I work with out of the blue ask me what church I go to, so I begin to talk to her she then proceeds to tell me she needs to find a church. I pray she will come. We have to be a willing vessel that God can use.

  26. 18 When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, “So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.”

Thank you Lord for pouring your spirit out to every person! You gave so much and you continue to give! Thank you God for your spirit to come inside of us that we can be a light for you! Let us share what you have and will do for others, so they may recive your spirit! I praise your name God and I pray that daily I will shine with your spirit and go share with other in Jesus name!

  27. 17 And since God gave these Gentiles the same gift he gave us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to stand in God’s way?”

Who am I to stand in God’s way or anyone else’s way. We should never attempt to stop someone from serving the Lord. But at the same time, we must recognize when someone is trying to convince you otherwise. We can easily get caught up, when talking to someone about how a church operates, praises, worships or fast. If your not sure, then lead that person to someone who does.

  28. ““As I began to speak,” Peter continued, “the Holy Spirit fell on them, just as he fell on us at the beginning. Then I thought of the Lord’s words when he said, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ And since God gave these Gentiles the same gift he gave us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to stand in God’s way?””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭11:15-17 NLT

  29. 9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

I know this is referred mg to what we eat but how many times have we encounter those that insist in self condemnation or thinking they can never change. Who are we to call unclean what He has cleansed!!!!

  30. Acts11:15 ( English Amp ) When I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as He did on us at the beginning. Dear lord I prayed that the Holy Ghost will pour out all over America today. That people will repent and be baptized in Jesus name. This world to feel a great shaking to find Jesus.I love you Jesus.

  31. 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life

God does not want us to pick and choose who we think may want to hear this gospel. He desires that everyone should be saved and not a single soul lost. We must tell all we know and all wet meet about this precious truth. Most importantly, we must love this truth and live this truth so that people will see the light of Jesus through our everyday actions and our reactions to life’s obstacles. It is not about us but all about our Jesus who died and rose again so that we can live forever with him!!!

  32. 17. “If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ who was I that I could withstand God?”
God so sweet and merciful. He loved the world. John 3:16 The salvation is for everyone. Praise the Lord! The Lord is going to bring revival upon this region and His Holy Ghost is going to rescue many people in these days. god is awesome!

  33. Josiah: Proverbs 25:16 “Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.”
Acts 11:29 “Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:”
“sufficient for thee” “according to his ability” People do not really become great musicians overnight. You do not get to graduate from high school right away. There is a process, things you learn, to get to something. When I have tried to play songs way above my level I have failed. Yet, now I can play parts of those songs. I can reach some of those notes. There is a process as we grow spiritually. The Bible says to “eat so much as is sufficient for the, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.” The Bible warns us about taking on more then what we should take on lest we “vomit it.” or not succeed. The disciples went “every man according to his ability”. I pray that I never take on more then what I should lest I “vomit it.”, but I pray that I always let Jesus, my God and savior, mold and shape me in due time. LET US GO IN JESUS NAME! LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD. PRAISE YE THE LORD. THANK YOU JESUS! HALLELUJAH!

  34. 9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

As we start to grow both as a church and as individuals in our walk with God, we need to be prepared for the change that will come. As we have heard often from visiting ministers that whenever a church grows there will be change; and to stay in the plan that God has set for the Church then we need to be willing to grow too. If Peter had not been willing to change what he was willing to do, he may not have been prepared to fellowship with those not commonly accepted by the Jews. Yet, he did and because of this willingness many followed that were saved!

  35. They were all mad at Peter for felowshipping with sinners. Peter answered I’m doing the will of God. Gods will is that the church has a steady flow of sinners. If there are no sinners in the church , then the church is not doing the will of God. I would rather be in a church filled with sinners than a church filled with saints.

  36. Hannah: “15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. 16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.” Every person needs to be baptized in Jesus name and receive the gift of the holy ghost in order to enter into the kingdom of heaven. I think it is so wonderful that we are able to receive these gifts from the Lord. When we recieve the holy ghost it is just a tiny bit of the Lord, and nothing compared to what we will recieve in heaven.
The Lord wants to pour out his spirit onto all who are willing and in order to do that we need to reach out to the lost. We need to reach out continuingly even when nobody seems to want the Lord in their life, because we are planting seeds. A tiny seed can grow into a huge plant when it is watered and carefully taken cared of. This is just like a soul. Someone might not be ready to receive the Lord in their life but that tiny seed planted in their life can grow in them huge spiritually. Every soul needs the Lord and as we reach out we need to take as many souls that we can with us into the kingdom of heaven. Every soul to God is so precious and it says all of heaven rejoices when a new soul comes unto the Lord. Never stop outreaching because you never know which souls will grow a long ways spiritually in the Lord.

  37. 20 And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

We want the blessing and favor of God to be upon our lives like how It Was on them. Stay in God’s will don’t try to run away from the the plan of God, fulfil his work.and there is no telling what he would do with us and through us!

  38. 27 And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

Part of being Apostolic is helping each other out.

  39. 2 And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,

3 Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.

Peter was ready to give account to those that contended his actions. Especially because they were brothers or fellow labors in the kingdom of God. These men after hearing the story and how God confirmed His words to Peter by filling them with the Holy Ghost rejoiced with Peter. They did not get puffed up.

If God desired to us someone to fulfill a call we must we willing to rejoice with them.

  40. 1 And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.

God is good he uses us to teach the good news to everyone who will listen. The word of God will teach the truth and instill faith to those that didn’t know him. The Gentiles turned to the Lord and put their faith in him.

  41. vss 15-16 These changes are still possible today through the power of the Holy Spirit.
JESUS fulfilled HIS promise that we would receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.
    GOD IS FAITHFUL !

  42. 16: Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

In order to remember the word of God, we must be reading the word of God. You cannot expect to win a fist fight if you haven’t trained for it. Same as when we are in a spiritual battle. We must be preparing, for our weapons are not bombs and guns, but worship is the way the battle is won!

  43. How would you like to have an Angel give you some guidance or how would you like to be called a good man and have recorded in the Bible? When God calls you good, WOW and in which the scriptures can not be broken! Double WOW…….you good!

24 For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.

“I hope to be called a good Son”………,,

  44. 26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

These scriptures are just awesome because they show where our identity of being Christian comes from. That in Antioch people decided to call the disciples of Jesus Christ Christians. It is cool to know where and how our names came from.

  45. 7. And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Pe’-ter; slay and eat. 8. But I said, Not so, Lord, for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth. 9. But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. When you hear God talking to you obey !!!!

  46. Teaching has always been a cornerstone in the church. God has given his truth and revealed himself in Scriptures. From the earliest days of the church God’s people were called to communicate this truth to others through intentional and systematic teaching (Dt 6:6-7). By the first century things haven’t changed. For example Paul and Barnabas gather with the believers in Antioch and instruct them in the truth of God’s word. Here in Antioch is where the disciples of Jesus are first called Christians. The term itself means those belonging to Christ or Christ like. Today we display the meaning of Christians by being like Jesus and teaching his Word to others also. We must needs go!

  47. “And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭11:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus can fill someone in an instant if we just do what he calls us to do. It’s time for us to listen and obey the voice of God.

  48. When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
    Acts 11:18 KJV

Repentance is not only for the Jews but the Gentiles as God reveals here to Paul. The Jews wouldn’t receive him so he accepted the Gentiles who would. We must be careful to accept the revelations God gives us because if we don’t he can give it to someone else willing to be used of him.
