Acts Chapter 5

40 Days of FIRE – Day 36

Unity and generosity among the disciples becomes tainted as sin is revealed within the church and the Apostles were imprisoned. Yet this did not stop them from fulfilling the commission of God. They knew it would be better to obey God than man. In prayer today, confess sin and ask for God’s forgiveness. Pray that Christ’s church would Go Stand on the promises of God and focus on spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Acts 5

But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.

And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.

13 And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.

14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)

15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

17 Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,

18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.

19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,

20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

21 And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

22 But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned and told,

23 Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.

24 Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.

25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

26 Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.

27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,

28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

33 When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

34 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;

35 And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.

36 For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.

37 After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.

38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:

39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

  1. Verses 41-42 AMP “So they left the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy [dignified by indignity] to suffer shame for [the sake of] His name. And every single day, in the temple [area] and in homes, they did not stop teaching and telling the good news of Jesus as the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed).” Same verses in MSG “The apostles went out of the High Council overjoyed because they had been given the honor of being dishonored on account of the Name. Every day they were in the Temple and homes, teaching and preaching Christ Jesus, not letting up for a minute.” We must do the same, joyously never stop teaching and telling the good news of Jesus. Romans 10:15 CEV says “And how can anyone tell them without being sent by the Lord? The Scriptures say it is a beautiful sight to see even the feet of someone coming to preach the good news.”

  2. 38. “So my advice is, leave these men alone. Let them go. If they are planning and doing these things merely on their own, it will soon be overthrown.

    39. But if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God!” NLT

When God decides to do a work, there is no stopping Him. If we won’t do it, he will find someone else who will.

  3. 29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

What a novel idea… Yet as simple as it is, many still struggle with it. Submit to God and the authorities He’s placed in your life.

  4. 19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,
20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

We have been set free by God. The bonds of sin have been broken and we have been pulled out of the prison of iniquity. He has called us to be free for a purpose, to teach the gospel to them that would hear it. We were not rescued from hell just for us to go to heaven, if that was so…then we would just been called up to heaven. We all have a calling in ministry, and it’s to bring those that are bound to Christ to be set free.

  5. But if it is from God, you will not be able to overtrow them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God. Acts of the Apostles 5:39 NLT

When we are in the will of God we will prevail.

  6. 39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

Who would even dare to fight God?! That’s just not smart in any way! Lest it be God you cannot overthrow it! They recognized the Power that God held that is why we need to be God fearing men and women striving to be Christ-like. Thank you Jesus for your NAME and everything you give.

  7. 38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

If it’s of man, it will die away. If it’s of God, it will live on.

As young people, it is our honor, to honor and obey our parents, and the leadership God has placed in our lives. And there comes a point in time where we hear the calling of God in our own lives. Just because we hear it and we can see the vision that God has given us. Doesn’t give us the right to rebel against the authority.
Now I have eaten pepperoni pizza, late at night, and have had some weird dreams. But if it be from God. You cannot forget the vision and dreams he has placed in you.
What man creates, it will pass away. But what God creates, wow, it will go on, until God stops it. What do I mean? Think for a moment, about the elements. water, air, fire, earth. God created those things. If you walk, you walk on ground. While you walk, you breath air. After you walk you drink water, and take a shower using HOT water.
But if we look at what man creates. We see plastic, metal, paper, chemicals. Now think of the dump where all the trash is. What fills it? Plastic, metal, paper, chemicals. All of these things pass away.
What am I trying to say? If God set it in motion, then God is the only one who can stop it. This is why we must have God in our lives. For him to lead and guild us. If God be for us, Who then can be against us? The answer is no one. Let go of yourself and allow God to use you young person.

  8. 28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.
29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

  9. I LOVE TO WORSHIP THE LORD
    VS-29
Peter is not sanctioning civil disobedience as he makes clear in his first epistle . We are to obey civil goverment but when it goes contrary to the explicit commands of God we must obey God and be ready to suffer the consequences.

  10. 38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:

39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

You can make as many plans as you want, but the Lord’s purpose will always prevail! If you’re trying to fight the will of God, you are fighting a losing battle for nothing can stand against Him! I’m glad to be on the side of God!

  11. 40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

Look at the faith of the apostles that even after they were beaten and scourged they left that situation not crying and pouting but rejoicing that they were able to suffer for the name of Jesus! Not only that but they didn’t stop teaching and preaching. Instead they kept their faith strong and preached the gospel!

  12. iLove to Go Blog
16There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

Notice the scripture above says the following, “and they were healed every one.” WOW, this scripture is amazing for the simple fact that “everyone’ is a very powerful statement. This tells me that none were left out. Everyone was healed also leads me to believe that there was not a sickness or devil that could stand against these men of God.

  13. Acts 5:28, “Saying, Did not we staitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.”

“Ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine”
Today, let’s GO fill the city of Fort Worth with the Doctrine of Jesus Christ.
    GO Witness
    GO Testify

  14. 39But if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God!”

Great advice from the one member. He recognized the truth may be spoken. It’s wise to have someone over us that can give you sound advice. Thank God we have a Pastor who is anointed with the Holy Spirit that gives us counseling and advice.

  15. GO STAND AND SPEAK IN JESUS NAME

20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

What and Who are you talking about? This is the most important question I ask myself each day. There are 2 subjects that should consume my vocabulary and intrest.

    1. What JESUS has done.
    2. What I want JESUS to do.

If we at The POFW will GO in the highways and hedges STAND on the WORD of GOD and SPEAK what the SPIRIT of the LORD is saying to the church.

Everything the CHURCH does, should be founded on the WORD of GOD and PRAYER.

Lets GO STAND AND SPEAK IN JESUS NAME

  16. OBEDIENCE WITH A BURNING DESIRE TO TELL THE WORLD

28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

If Peter did not have burning desire to tell the world about Jesus he probably would still have been sitting in the prison. God seen his desire and his faithfulness to teach and preach the Word. Nothing, no one can stop us if our heart is right and willing with a burning desire we must obey God. there is a difference when you have received a call from God. friends and family may think you are taking to many risk and will caution you from time to time but with God all things are possible. I pray that the boldness of the Holy Ghost will continually abide within me because yes I would rather obey God than man. I am thankful for a Pastor that allows God to flow through each and every one of us and to do the will of God. Our Pastor and First Lady have a heart for the voice of God and hear from Him daily. we must teach and preach lest this world be lost . I will proclaim the name of Jesus where ever I go for He is everything to me.
    HIS STRENGTH IS PERFECT

  17. Then Peter said, “Ananias, why have you let Satan fill your heart? You lied to the Holy Spirit, and you kept some of the money for yourself. The property was yours to sell or not sell, as you wished. And after selling it, the money was also yours to give away. How could you do a thing like this? You weren’t lying to us but to God!” As soon as Ananias heard these words, he fell to the floor and died. Everyone who heard about it was terrified. Then some young men got up, wrapped him in a sheet, and took him out and buried him. Peter asked her, “Was this the price you and your husband received for your land?” “Yes,” she replied, “that was the price.” And Peter said, “How could the two of you even think of conspiring to test the Spirit of the Lord like this? The young men who buried your husband are just outside the door, and they will carry you out, too.” Instantly, she fell to the floor and died. When the young men came in and saw that she was dead, they carried her out and buried her beside her husband. Great fear gripped the entire church and everyone else who heard what had happened.
Acts of the Apostles 5:3‭-‬6‭, ‬8‭-‬11 NLT
It’s important to read and pray we can’t let the devil take over us the devil is under our feet

  18. 41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

They disregarded the beating and instructions to cease preaching about Jesus and obeyed God. Gamaliel was correct-if their doctrine was of God, it could not be stopped and here we are today. There many ways to teach someone the truth of salvation…in small bits and pieces, a little here and a little there or in a scheduled time of study. Tell someone your testimony how you came into this truth.

  19. Everything belongs to the Lord to begin with and the principle of tithing and offerings were established in the old testament and carried to the new. However, when revival came to the Apostles, God laid it on their hearts to give sacrificially. They choose what they wanted to give within each household. Yet Anainas and his wife, committed to give one thing in their heart, but then changing it, and then lying about it. This brought about both of their deaths.

I hear many people say when God blesses me with such and such I’m going to give this or that. Some have even written checks and give them to the office to hold stating when this sells or that sells, I’ll let you know and you can deposit the check. However, when prosperity comes to them through selling this or that, they long forget their commitment.

We are praying the spirit of Goshen to bless every family every service. When those blessings come don’t be stingy. God uses people with open hands, He provides, you give God His portion that you committed, and He will bless again. My goal it to eventually live on 10% income and give God 90% to bless and multiply for His Kingdom. We’ve learned and live the practice that God will provide all our needs according to His riches in glory. If HE lays it on our hearts to give, we are going to be obedient because we know blessings are reciprocal. You can never outlive GOD.

  20. Taking a stand for God is something that is always taken notice of… our lives are truly an epistle that is read of all men. So what is our testimony and is it speaking what we want to be heard? Are we truly standing on the promises of God with the certainty of those who have a strong conviction on the importance of the foundation that God has provided for our life?

Peter’s testimony continues to reach new heights in this chapter despite the strong opposition and disfavor of those who wanted to continue to provide for the spiritual direction of Israel. When brought before then yet again, Peter declares it is more important for them to obey God than man. Even after he was beaten for taking that stand, he counted it joy to suffer for Jesus’ name sake and continued to remain steadfast in his stand.

It is not until we face opposition or disfavor in our stand that our convictions are truly tested. Just like submission, we are tested when found to be in disagreement, except now it is our willingness to having done all, to stand that matters both in our walk with God and the testimony we exhibit to those around us. They expect us to be happy when all is going well, but what about when our beliefs becomes unpopular, what will we do when it costs us something to make that stand? They’re waiting to see how strong those convictions truly are and it makes a powerful statement when it is our stand that remains unchanged. So Go Stand for his name’s sake and allow his light to be seen!

  21. 3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

Get into a habit of putting on Gods armor don’t fall into temptation.
It’s easy to be deceived especially when your flesh is weak and your spirit your Is willing remember God’s love and the sacrifice that was made
Keep in mind what God has brought you from what he’s delivered you from and how you never want to go back don’t lose the ghost hallelujah

    God bless you all!

  22. The word of the Lord is powerful . In the book of Acts we see miracles signs and wonders. And a huge revival like never before . We also see people well evil spirits trying to dim God’s light. As I said before the Book of Acts is my favorite book in the Bible . It reminds me of how Hungry people were for God . In 40 days of fire 🔥 we need to be hungry LIKE NEVER BEFORE.We need to GROW in the Spirit and we need to GO follow Jesus Christ . GO
    Pray
    Outreach
    Fast
    Worship
We need to GO GROW LIKE NEVER BEFORE .

  23. 11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.

When I read this chapter I noticed that before it mentioned the miracles of what the apostles did that first it said that great fear came upon the church. That after the miracles all of them where with one accord in the church. May I learn great fear of the Lord and be in accord in his church.

  24. 40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

God is always watching our backs. If it’s the will of God nothing will stand against it. His will be done and not ours. God uses people to help others out of situations just like what happened here. God is good all the time.

  25. Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.
    (Acts 5:20 KJV)

When we have a calling like this from God hes wanting us to go with a mind of boldness and aheart of passion. He wants us to go reach out to those in and out of the church. We should have the mindset of the kingdom and always stand on the word of God and speak the truth of the gospel.

  26. Josiah: 40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
You can not get pure gold without it first going through the fire. Sometimes God puts trials or things in our lives, but it is up to us how to respond to them. However I pray that when I go through them and after them that I rejoice that God let me, or is letting me go through it. Trials can bring us close to God so I pray that God let’s me go through some fire. LET US GO IN JESUS NAME! LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD! PRAISE YE THE LORD!

  27. 27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,
28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.
29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

No matter what in this world may come against us, we need to stand true to God’s Word! We need to always be preaching and sharing the gospel to everyone we meet no matter even if they laugh or scorn us for what we say.  “Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.” -Psalms 100:3. We are in the last days, I need to be sure that, no matter what, in all I do I am witnessing to everyone I meet. I do not know what their life is like or how much of an impact God can make in the lives around them too! I need to GO and share that He is a God who makes a difference!

  28. 3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Liars have their place in a fiery lake burning sulfur in the second death (Rev 21:8). They had the choice to give any amount of the portion they received from the land but chose to give less and lie that it was the whole sum. Short changing God is one thing but lying about it is another. This couple’s example shows how important it is to give what we’ve committed and answer truthfully when the man of God asks us to give any account.

  29. Hannah: “29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.” Always take heed to the word of the Lord over the word of man. His word will always live but man’s word will die, he lives forever, but the things of this world will pass away. My goal and desire is to have an eternal life with the Lord. In order to have an eternal life with the Lord, each of us need to obey his word, follow his commandments and take heed to whatever he tells us. This verse strengthens me because it is another reminder that the Lord is Mightier and Greater than anything in this world. Always follow in the ways of the Lord and not the ways of man.

  30. 31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

His name is Jesus…our Redeemer and savior. Thank you for the blood

  31. The Apostles Suffer Persecution v.17-32

Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said , We ought to obey God rather than men.

Peter is not sanctioning civil disobedience, as he makes clearin his first epistle( I Peter 2:13-17 Romans 13:1-7). We are to obey civil government, but when it goes contrary to the explicit commands of God, we must obey God and be ready to suffer the consequences.

  32. 41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

History shows that when people are in bondage or persecution they grow closer and even have more children. It’s hard to associate persecution with child birth but something ties them together. It’s as if we say it doesn’t matter what happens to us as long as we have each other. The deciples went through these hard times together which made them stronger and their faith greater. The fellowship of suffering…. there is always a lesson behind every circumstance.

  33. Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”

It is better to live with an understanding that all things belong to God and we are stewards of His possessions. Thus will keep us from withholding things that really belong to Him.

Also, this scripture shows us that we can lie with our actions just as much as we can with words. Let us be willing to be truthful I. All things.

  34. “The apostles left the high council rejoicing that God had counted them worthy to suffer disgrace for the name of Jesus.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭5:41‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Do we rejoice in our trials?
Do we consider it a privilege to suffer for the Lord Jesus Christ?

We should. Cause through our trials His Light will shine!

  35. Secrets

Everybody has secrets, and the Bible tells us that this is okay, especially when it comes to private matters and confidences that others share with us. In Mathew 6 are several instances; charitable deeds, prayer and fasting. Proverbs 11:13 we read, “A gossiping fellow will betray secrets, but a trustworthy man [person] will keep a confidence.”

What about keeping secrets from God? Sometimes we do things in life that we don’t want anybody to know about. Can we hide things or have secrets from God? 1 Chronicles 28:9, “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts.” Psalms 44:21 says, “Would not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.”

When we try to hide things from God, they are usually actions or thoughts we need to repent and ask God to forgive us of. There are some secrets we need to keep from our brothers and sisters. But try as we might, we are not able to keep anything secret from God. If we have been trying to hide things from Him – Stop before the price becomes more than we are able to pay.

  36. 28. Saying, did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Je-ru’- sa-lem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us. 29. Then Pe’-ter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. I Love to do everything in Jesus Name !!!!

  37. Acts 5:29 ( English Amp) Them Peter and the apostles replied, We must obey God rather than men, (30) The God of our forefathers raised up Jesus, Whom you killed by hanging Him on the tree ( cross). And if a man has commuted a sin worthly of death and ( afterward) you hang him on a tree. You must repent everyday . Ask God to cleanse your heart and your mind. And live by God’s commandments.

  38. “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭5:29-33

Not everyone who hears will follow the Lord. Jesus has to draw them. They have to have their hearts right and ready to receive. After he witness of these men the people wanted to kill them. This is because they were not listening to the drawing of the Holy Ghost. They felt condemnation and not conviction. When the Holy Ghost convicts you then you are brought to repentance and come closer to God. When here is condemnation then you just get upset and try to get rid of the bad feelings by any means. Who you are listening too tells if it’s condemnation of conviction, so… who are you listening to?

  39. 29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
The ways of man are foolish and unsteady. The way of God is wise, sure, unmovable, and unchanging. I have never gone down the wrong path when I first prayed and listened to what God would have me to do. Times it was easy and times it was difficult because it was contrary to what people thought was most convenient. Yet, he always brought me through, never failed and my life was and is so very blessed when I listen to my Jesus!
