Acts Chapter 4

40 Days of FIRE – Day 37

Chapter four documents the incredible start and momentum the early church experienced. Peter and John give powerful testimony before the Jewish council, and the number of disciples grows to over 5,000. As you pray today, thank God for faithful believers who have gone before us, and for those of us who now hold the baton. Pray that we will Go Testify compelling others to be changed.

JESUS today YOU will SAVE me.

Acts 4

And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,

Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,

And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,

16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.

24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?

26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,

37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

  1. In this chapter, several things did occur. But, one in particular was that they tried to silence the Apostles and keep them from witnessing the Gospel of Christ Jesus or preaching in his name! They are so fearful when they hear his name, or simply grinch at the sound of his name. But, most likely they are convicted in their spirit knowing they are sinners and are very challenged. But, I myself have experienced such a resistance and was challenged on many of my careers and was informed not appropriate activity on the work sight. My response is if they fire me for witnessing the Gospel. God will supply me another job and I believe he would do it swiftly without sorrows. Because, I was serving him and honoring my God trying to reach the lost! Yes, use wisdom and always submit yourself to your authorities but sometimes you have to make waves or make a stand for your faith and trust God with the results.

    “Be blessed, witness…….”

  2. Verses 19-20 MSG “But Peter and John spoke right back, “Whether it’s right in God’s eyes to listen to you rather than to God, you decide. As for us, there’s no question—we can’t keep quiet about what we’ve seen and heard.” We cannot not allow anything thing or any one to silence our testimony.

Let us GO and continue united as verse 31-33 AMP says “And when they had prayed, the place where they were meeting together was shaken [a sign of God’s presence]; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness and courage. Now the company of believers was of one heart and soul, and not one [of them] claimed that anything belonging to him was [exclusively] his own, but everything was common property and for the use of all. And with great ability and power the apostles were continuously testifying to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace [God’s remarkable lovingkindness and favor and goodwill] rested richly upon them all.”

  3. 14. But since they could see the man who had been healed standing right there among them, there was nothing the council could say.

    You can’t argue with results.
People may or may not not agree with what you tell them, but when they can see results and changes for themselves, their argument ‘doesn’t have a leg to stand on’.

    James 2:18 NKJV
But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

  4. 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

When we are filled with the Holy Ghost and allow him speak through us God will give us the words to say.

  5. All the believers were UNITED in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had.
Acts of the apostles 4: 32 NLT

The most powerful force is unity.

  6. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved

We need to invoke the name of Jesus every opportunity that we can. The name of Jesus is higher than every name out there, and we have that power within us. I’ve noticed recent “Christian” songs that have been coming out don’t say that name near as much as they used to. Slowly the name of Jesus is being pushed out of even the “Christian” community. The devil isn’t scared when we call on God, when people say God…it’s when we say JESUS that we invoke authority and power and might. We release dominion and salvation to situations. Jesus name!

  7. diffrent opinions are not unavoidable among us and are personalities , they can even be useful if used right. But spiritual unity key also loyalty , commitment and faithfulness to the word of God. Without spiritual unity in the church the church will not last .
Have love for one another and will know you as his disciple.

  8. 29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

After they had prayed, they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and they spoke the word of God with boldness. After this prayer meeting, the apostles witnessed with great power and great grace was upon them. Adversity bring us to our knees in prayer, but God sends us out again in His power to continue to Go Reach and Teach more. I believe we will go out today and speak with boldness and we will see great power and grace upon us as we speak his word to the hurting and the lost.

  9. 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

  10. 19 But Peter and John replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him?
20 We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.”

29 And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. (NLT)

God we seek to obey You and now one else, we must declare Your goodness to everyone we know. In this hour though, like the apostles, there are threats against Your people and I pray we would all as as the apostles did: “Oh Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word.” In Jesus Name!

  11. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

This is another scripture that shows the importance of the name of Jesus Christ. It is by that name we must be saved. Not could or can, this is the only name we can be saved by and we all need to be saved. I thank Jesus for his salvation and for the many people that shall receive salvation this weekend. Go pray!

  12. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Full of the Holy Ghost. Keep me filled with your Spirit so that I will continue to speak with boldness. There will be those who try to intimidate you. You do not have to have fear for the power within you will speak. God will give you the right words to say.
Just speak your testimony and God will do the rest! Speak His promises and speak His word!

  13. 36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,

37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

We must sacrifice for the kingdom of God! This man had land and sold it to give to the kingdom. Jesus’ name is worth everything in this world and more. Nothing is enough to give for what Jesus gave.My sins are washed away because of Jesus my life is able to live on because of Jesus. Thank you Jesus! Amen!

  14. iLove to Go Blog
30By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
31And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

They prayed that miracles, signs, and wonders would be done by the name of Jesus. We need to make this prayer one of our daily prays as well. Miracles, Signs, and Wonders are the will of God. Why? Because it glorifies God! Don’t we want to glorify God? Look at how many folks were saved because of the miracle that took place. Miracles, Signs, and Wonders are REVIVAL!

If God can give Pentecostals the gift of tongues and the gift of the interpretation of tongues; can He not give us the gift of healing and miracles? The answer is YES.
“To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:” 1 Corinthians 12:10

The lady with the issue of blood didn’t even ask Jesus to heal her. She didn’t beg Jesus to heal her. She took her healing by faith…Let’s enter into a new level of faith and reach out and receive the other gifts of the Spirit so that true revival can come to The Pentecostals of Fort Worth.

  15. The Bible asks us to be ready always to give a reason for the hope that lies within us… that is speaking to our testimony! Each of us have a testimony and the collection of our testimonies is a powerful statement to the world! They may be just as grieved today add they were when Peter and John stood up to speak, but we should refuse to be silenced just as they did! We need to recognize those prophetic words are also spoken to us: ‘The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.’ There will always be opposition and unbelief until Jesus comes and even after his millennial reign of peace, the devil will be capable of finding a following that is willing to go against God.. so why would we expect our own walk in the midst of a world ruled by sin to be free of opposition? Just take our liberty and testify!

The recipe is still the same today as has recently been preached: ‘And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.’ With a prayerful holy ghost boldness we can see the same results today! ‘And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.’ Not just a little unmerited favor… they were granted great power and great favor with the Lord! The world may be moved by the signs and the wonders and we want those evident as well, but O that we might granted great favor in our walk with him! With that kind of favor we will also receive great power where truly anything is possible in the service of his kingdom! So use that portion we have already received and go witness with great expectation of what God is going to do!

  16. 14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,

16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

  17. Acts 4:29 & 31,
    29) And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants that with all boldness they may speak thy word.
    31) And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Pray, be filled with the Holy Ghost, and GO in Boldness and speak the Word of God.

  18. 29:And now , behold their threatening; and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak the word,
    ——————
    Go in BOLDNESS!
Let the power of the Holy Ghost that dwells with in me, be manifested
Outwardly Lord, so that many will receive YOUR light.,And be saved.
    Here is your servant!

  19. 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

I’m grateful that the stripes that Jesus took for us gives us the chance to be healed, that Jesus death, burial and resurrection gives us the opportunity to die to our sins and be resurrected to newness of life. It is because of this that the we born again believers are able to stand whole.

  20. GO IN JESUS NAME

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

In a disturbed and distraught world, filled with confusion and deception. The WORD of GOD clearly states that there is ONE name that will forgive, deliver and heal all. That name is JESUS.

The intrigue of who GOD uses is often rivaled by how GOD uses them.

Here we witness 2 men. Culturally they must have appeared be casual or ordinary. Possibly they didn’t appear to be smart, bright or intelligent. They did not possess the attributes of College Graduates according to the claim of verse 13.

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

What could these 2 fishermen possibly offer a confused world?

There are 2 major indicators that are identified in this chapter alone.

    1. They were FILLED with the Holy Ghost

verse 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

    2. They were COMMITTED

verse 20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

These 2 factors propelled the 2 converted fishermen from ordinary to extraordinary, from natural to supernatural, from followers to leaders.

In this particular setting, revelation was more effective that education. We must study to learn about GOD, however we must also PRAY so that we can KNOW GOD and it is said of us also that “we have been with JESUS”.

The result of RELATIONSHIP REVELATION is the POWER of GOD demonstrated through our commitment.

The POWER of GOD is demonstrated through REVELATION not EDUCATION.

Lets GO DEMONSTRATE JESUS to the world. Pray, Love, Forgive, Testify.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo

  21. 8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of our people,

If you’re filled with the Holy Spirit it will be easy to standup to anyone when discussing God. Later in the chapter these rulers were amazed by what they knew about God even without training. God will guide you and give you words to speak.

  22. 20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

Good news travels fast. Unfortunately people love to spread “gossip” and bad news more than good news. Let’s get busy talking about what Jesus is doing and has done and tell of the good things. People like to be where good things are happening. It’s up to us to share them with everyone.

  23. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

Unity is a powerful thing! Once we all come together praying in the Holy Ghost and each giving something of ourselves to the kingdom of God there is no stopping us! When we come together proclaiming the name of Jesus and praying for one another and with one another, those prayers will begin to shake the earth and a revival fire like we’ve never seen before will come down. Let’s GO today in unity!

  24. 30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

By the name of Jesus, oh his power name. Power to heal and wonders to be done
The scriptures say MAY BE NOT MAYBE seeing that it says may-be done is showing us the assurance of his name rather than saying maybe in other words questioning the power in Jesus name.

Go in boldness speak the truth and show the light.
    God will bless you all!

  25. Fearless Confidence

29-30 “And now they’re at it again! Take care of their threats and give your servants fearless confidence in preaching your Message, as you stretch out your hand to us in healings and miracles and wonders done in the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

If our heart floods with fear when we get a doctor’s report, it is because we have confidence in the doctor. Likewise, if our heart floods with faith when we hear the Word of God or a testimony from a fellow saint, it is because we have confidence in God! Our confidence in God and His Word should be so strong that we give no space to fear.

  26. This is a revival goal to many Churches today . 5000 people today it is more easier to reach lost souls . You have phones, social media , TV’s , arts and crafts, Gifts baskets with a church flyer . The promblem is lack of hunger . People are not hungry for God. They need to be

  27. 12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

We can’t keep quite of our savoir! The one name that can save is the name Jesus that we need to spread! No one can stand against the power of Jesus! Thank you Lord for being our one true savoir!

  28. These leaders were very disturbed that Peter and John were teaching the people that through Jesus there is a resurrection of the dead.
Acts of the Apostles 4:2 NLT
Go teach the gospel we won’t stop until the whole world know

  29. Josiah: 14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
“…could say nothing against it…a notable miracle hath been done…we cannot deny it…” Even the people who did not want the word to be spread could not truthfully deny what had been done by God. People can try to argue with words over scripture, but when God moves like in this chapter how can this world deny it or try to argue it. “we cannot deny it” If someone is healed they are healed, even this world recognizes this. “for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done” Even in places where people may oppose the church in beliefs, or what the church stands for, I want to let God use me through my actions so that my actions can at least be a light to those in this world. I pray that God can let my actions pave the way in peoples lives for me to talk about God to them, and, or invite them to church. LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD! PRAISE YE THE LORD!

  30. 12. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. 13. Now when they saw the boldness of Pe’-ter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Je’-sus. Jesus are my Saviour !!!! JESUS !!!!

  31. Peters defense was a bold attack. The miracle was performed in the name of Jesus. The miracle in effect proved that Jesus who was unjustly crucified is in fact Israels Messiah and the only source of salvation
I LOVE TO WORSHIP THE LORD

  32. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

    Pray in unity.

When we pray together in unity, nothing can stop it. This is why, young people, when we have prayer together. We must be in unity. Eccl. 4:12And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. WE Must find a prayer partner, and pray together. Let’s stand together and lead the charge in prayer.
    #GOdosomething for Jesus.

  33. Acts4:31 (English Amp) And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they continued to speak the Word of God with freedom and boldless and courage. When we pray together ,We must be in unity together.Pray for each other. Wow preach Jesus to everyone you run into ,Pray in the Holy Ghost. Go Preach Jesus .

  34. 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

Peter was united with the vision Jesus spoke of in His prayer to the Father just before he was crucified. He was united with the people of God and this type of unity brought boldness. Boldness to speak the Word of God without hesitation. Peter was filled with the Holy Ghost and the Holy Ghost will lead and guide us to truth but it is truth so it will arise within us when we need to boldly speak truth to others.

We do not Go in our own power or might but we are to GO in the Power of the Holy Ghost and fulfill the vision God has.

  35. Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole J,Soli z

  36. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

There is no other God besides our one true God. Jesus is the way the truth and the life!

  37. 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

We should never be ashamed of sharing the good things that God has done! Just as Peter used this miracle to share the gospel of Christ, we should be doing the same thing! Every chance we have we should be sharing the love of God! As we know from reading this book and again in this chapter, God’s people undergo many persecutions for His sake. Yet throughout we also see how God is glorified in the times of wellbeing and in times of distress. God will always see us through! It may not be in the manner that we think, but God will always answer our prayer. We need to stay true, focus on Christ and what He has prepared for us, and GO share the gospel!

  38. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

In order for us to effectively share with boldness the word of God we must first pray until we are filled with his Holy Spirit.

  39. Who gets the glory?

3 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

God chooses people who won’t steal the glory, he calls you to do what you are not talented at and things you never thought you could do. God uses the meek to speak his word boldly, the weak to be strong, the humble to reign, the proud to be humbled, the first to be last…. it’s not about us and our abilities, it’s about who He is.

  40. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

The people heard Jesus teaching, crucified
Him he raised and appeared before many of them whole before ascending into heaven. Many of them witnessed these things with their own eyes yet are too blind to see past their Sadducees religion against resurrection and spirit such as the Holy Spirit. The very stone they have rejected in building religious practices has become the chief cornerstone and foundation of our faith. When we stand upon his promises we can speak boldly as Peter does.

  41. v12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

To be a part of the Lord’s glorious church we must know HIM IN the power of JESUS NAME baptism and be filled and led by HIS sanctifying Spirit.
    Revival Now!

  42. 4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

A five thousand soul revival! The same God back then is the same today! Do you believe there is a possibility of a five thousand soul revival? I believe it!

  43. “But Peter and John replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him? We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4:19-20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We won’t stop till the whole world knows!
As we stand confident and boldly on the Word of God that has directed us to GO reach this region of Fort Worth, we must not be timid or allow our trials or surroundings to stop us!

We are called and chosen to reach the city of of Fort Worth, so let’s GO!

  44. 21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

It’s through the power of God that miracles and wonders were seen and people started to believe what Peter was preaching.

God protected the apostles as they risked their lives as they preached the word. During times of trial God carried them through and he’ll carry us too. God wants us to teach others the good news. He’ll give you the strength and the tools you need to shine on his behalf. Lift up his great name everywhere you go you never know who is in great need of knowing that there is a mighty God who loves them unconditionally all they need to do is Follow God and turn from sin.

  45. Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

GO be bold in the Holy Ghost!

  46. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,(Acts 4:29 KJV)

Many people in this world will not want to hear the truth of the gospel has to reveal. Even so, we are called today to speak it with boldness as Peter does here.

  47. “But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    They had a testimony.

They shared the tings that had happened. They couldn’t contain it. They had to share as their testimony was so great. The boldness of the Lord was all over them because of their experiences and the power of the Holy Ghost. We too must share our testimonies. It’s how we overcome he wickedness of this world and it helps people to see that the Lord can draw others out of their situations too.

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
    ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  48. Let me clearly state to all of you and to all the people of Israel that he was healed by the powerful name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, the man you crucified but whom God raised from the dead.
Acts of the Apostles 4:10 NLT

We must GO in the name of Jesus and make it clear with our word and actions that by no other can we be saved!!

  49. 29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

It does not matter how much the world will try to silence the salvation message. God will always give his church the strength and boldness to withstand the attacks of those who oppose this truth. Nowl we have to pray, believe, and go forth in Jesus Name!
