Acts Chapter 3

40 Days of FIRE – Day 38

In this chapter we find Peter going in Jesus’ Name and His power; performing the miraculous healing of a crippled beggar. Peter again capitalizes upon the moment and explains to all that God’s mercy and grace is available for them. Pray for the church to follow this example and GO Heal lives physically, spiritually, and emotional in the power of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 3

Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

17 And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

  1. “Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed—and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus’ name has healed him before your very eyes.
Acts of the Apostles 3:16 NLT
Through faith the man was heal
Why is so hard to believe that God can use his people to heal through him
Why so hard to believe the Pofw can be overflowing with hungry souls
Why is it so hard to believe 💯 and more get filled with the holy ghost and being baptized in the name of JESUS christ in one day
It’s really not that hard to believe the same that command the man to leap live in us
See and believe it will happen and it will happen if faith can move a mountain the I know and believe all these things can happen in the name of JESUS

  2. Verses 6-8 MSG “Peter said, “I don’t have a nickel to my name, but what I do have, I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!” He grabbed him by the right hand and pulled him up. In an instant his feet and ankles became firm. He jumped to his feet and walked.” Many may say that they don’t have anything to give to the cause; but, we have our testimony and faith. If we use what we have for Jesus, this too can lift someone up, bring someone to stand firm and begin to walk in the ways of Jesus.

2 Corinthians 5-6 MSG “Remember, our Message is not about ourselves; we’re proclaiming Jesus Christ, the Master. All we are is messengers, errand runners from Jesus for you. It started when God said, “Light up the darkness!” and our lives filled up with light as we saw and understood God in the face of Christ, all bright and beautiful.

Ephesians 1:17-19 MSG “That’s why, when I heard of the solid trust you have in the Master Jesus and your outpouring of love to all the followers of Jesus, I couldn’t stop thanking God for you—every time I prayed, I’d think of you and give thanks. But I do more than thank. I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!”

  3. GO TO CHURCH READY

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
    2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

For years as a believer, I have heard the statement, I am going to church to “GET SOMETHING” from GOD. This is a compelling concept for the sinner. They need to come to church to “GET SOMETHING” from GOD. However for the Apostolic Believer, I believe we need a revolution on how we GO TO CHURCH.

Lets begin TODAY. When we arrive at The POFW today for PENTECOST REVIVAL lets GO TO CHURCH READY to raise the lame, heal the sick and speak the WORD of GOD. This may mean we need to have a prayer meeting at work or home today. Regardless of the location, maybe we too can find a lame individual and give them JESUS on the way to Church.

Thereby we GO TO CHURCH READY to be used of and by GOD for HIS Kingdom.

  4. How awesome it would be if everyone that received a miracle would just start leaping, shouting and praising God. We should not be ashamed to let the joy of the Lord show. God has done great things in our life and is going to do greater things. Let us continue to lift up the name of Jesus and give him the praise he is worrhy of.

  5. Peter (to the crowd): Why are you so amazed, my fellow Israelites? Why are you staring at my friend and me as though we did this miracle through our own power or made this fellow walk by our own holiness? We didn’t do this-God did! The Voice

With the God we serve, we should be more surprised when miracles don’t happen than when they do. When our faith rises to the level that we actually expect them to happen, they will become the norm instead of the exception; we just have to remember that it is He that does them, and we must put our faith in Him and not ourselves.

  6. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

What peter was offering was Gods Love and the miraculous power that comes with his name. By his stripes we are healed, by faith we are healed. Walk in spirit, do not hide what Hod has and can do for you and others
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭
“Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭21:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬
In Bible these words are red, meaning Jesus Christ said this. Today pray for Faith and the Faith of others. God is working in everyone us.
    God. Less you all!

  7. 7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

How many people are withered spiritually, and all they need is for someone to give them a hand and lift them and they would become whole?

Let’s not be too quick to judge anyone, but always ready and prepared to speak a word that would lift them or, lift them up in prayer, and then watch the power of God work in their lives.

  8. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

    14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

  9. iLove to Go Blog
“Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Never know what might happen in the hour of prayer. God is able to do anything at anytime. To miss prayer might cause one to miss ones miracle. This man was simply asking for money, but he had faith to be healed. Nobody even asked him if you wanted to be healed, but he received his healing anyway. Nobody even asked God for this miracle, Peter simply spoke the word and a miracle happened.

  10. Acts 3:12, 16, & 26
    12) And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
    16) And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
    26) Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

JESUS has the Power to Heal and to Save!
JESUS is our Healer and our Saviour!!

  11. 6 But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!” (NLT)

We must come prepared ND ready for church. In this chapter Peter brought with him faith, before he ever stepped foot into the gate he had faith ready to use. Come prepared tonight with whatever God has blessed you with, Peter saI’d he gave simply what he had so do just that. Bring your faith, your joy, your praise, your song, whatever it is you have bring it ready to use at the house of God!

  12. Peter literally commands in verse 19, “Repent so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”

  13. Josiah: 16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
“through faith in His name” The Bible tells us that because the lame man had faith in God’s name he was made strong. The Bible tells us that we just need faith the size of a grain of mustard seed. It also tells us to ask and we shall receive. We should GO ask of the Lord in faith. We should GO outreach in faith because God can deliver and save. We should GO pray for revival services with faith in Jesus name because it was by faith in God’s name that made the lame man whole. LET US GO IN FAITH OF HIS NAME! IN JESUS NAME! LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD! PRAISE YE THE LORD!

  14. Silver & Gold or His Healing!

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Peter & John had nothing to offer but the power of Christ to the lame man. The man wanted healing so the faith of the man and the disciples created an atmosphere for healing.
I love this scripture. When I hear someone asking for an aspirin I love to say I have not aspirin but I have a God who can heal you. Not that I am against medicine but it is wonderful to see their reaction when God actually heals them quicker than a pill. No matter what the illness God is able to heal! I still believe this ! I serve a faithful God who is able to perform miracles! Got is Great!
    His Strength is Perfect!

  15. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

The world is watching us. There are enough hurting people in this world that need Jesus and they are in our daily walk, just wanting a chance to be delivered. We have that same power in us to reach and allow God to flow and heal them!

  16. Healing is still a powerful force in the church today! Just like the gift of the holy ghost, it was never taken away. If sin doth the much more abound and will continue to increase in the world until Jesus comes again, why would anyone expect those gifts of God to his people to be taken away? It doesn’t even make sense when you consider all the implications, and the Bible clearly declares that by his stripes we are healed! Just like our salvation, he has already paid the price for us to receive his healing blessing today!

I still remember a conversation in college with my classmates over whether moves of the spirit and healing were even possible today. At one point one of them posed the question, ‘Why does it even matter?’ My response is still the same, it matters because when I’m sick and I’m prayed for, I believe and God will heal me! We can’t receive anything more than what we have faith in God to provide. I believe in God’s blessings, I believe that God cares about my individual life and walk, I believe God has an individual purpose and direction for me, I believe that his hands are upon my life continually, and when I am sick I still believe when I am prayed for that God will heal me!

Miracles and heading are a powerful testimony to new believers but don’t forget the words spoken hear: ‘Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.’ His blessings are given first to his people! It is through us that all the kindreds of the earth shall be blessed. We don’t have to wait in line, we don’t have to wait for a ‘special’ moment, we just need to have faith and be healed! And when God continues to provide that healing to his people, allow our faith to increase as we lay hands upon others in prayer that they may also be healed! In body, in heart, in spirit, whatever the need, declare healing in Jesus name!

  17. 19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

To Repent isnt enough, first you must beleive, then repent, we then have hope for a better life, after being baptized in the name of Jesus and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost we are ready for a different life, It all starts with beleife, I know this, Im learning this! So whats my Problem, why am I always running from God, This question has never been answered!

  18. Expectations

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

What are our expectations when we come before the King of kings? Do we come with no expectations only the desire to worship or with our hand out to see what we can get? There are times when we need the God’s help and we pray for those needs but do we make it a habit to come with our hands out?

God is good. Everything He does is good and wonderful. Shouldn’t our expectations come from God? God wants to do something wonderful in our life every moment of every day. We have to be ready and expect it to happen.

Isaiah 30:18 (AMP) says it perfectly: “Therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you…. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him….”

God is looking for someone who’s waiting for Him to be good to them. God wants to be good to us but we have to be expecting Him to move in our life. Today is our day to start believing something good is going to happen to us! God is working in our life right now, and when we get our breakthrough, it will be the result of what God has been doing for a long time. Whether we see it or feel it or not, keep praying and expecting because God is longing to bless us.

  19. And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
    Acts 3:12‭-‬16 KJV
    http://bible.com/1/act.3.12-16.KJV

A little over a year and half ago I couldn’t imagine having such Faith to believe in healing. There are people out there blindly walking wondering with their purposes. I don’t know what my purpose is in the church yet but I do know that I have a purpose; and I know that I’ve had a hard time in my walk with God, but now I want to get right with God I don’t want to be a part of the ones who just shamelessly killed Christ. I want to be the group that celebrates his resurrection waits for the day to be at his feet. I want to be the man that was raised up from the gates leaping and jumping and praising God.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who gives me strength.
May the hand of God be upon each and every one of us. Have a very blessed day all of pofw

  20. 11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

We must be ready and have ‘an answer for every man that asks for the reason of the hope that is in us’ according to 1 Peter 3:15. Whenever we can, we must explain what we know so that there is understanding of God, his word and his ways.

  21. 4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

The beggar was wise in that he was smart enough to look up and expect something from Peter and John and in expecting he believed it was going to happen. The bible says “If any man comes to God he must first believe” As long as our faith is strong enough to believe something God will meet our needs and answer our request!

  22. 17“Friends,c I realize that what you and your leaders did to Jesus was done in ignorance. 18But God was fulfilling what all the prophets had foretold about the Messiah—that he must suffer these things.

No one really realized who Jesus was until after his resurrection. Most did not understand that Jesus had to rise from death after 3 days to fulfill the prophesy of God. If we believe in the resurrection then we are Christians and must spread this message to everyone. No other religion can make this claim of someone being resurrected in their religion.

  23. 1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

This verse has been bugging me from when Pastor preached and Br Crockett mentioned it this morning. More specifically at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. It just convicted me, even after a prayer meeting of how much time I am spending praying. Because Peter and John are going up for a hour long prayer meeting at the temple at 9 o clock. Now I know I go up at 9:30, so it is just a reminder and bugged me of how much more I need to pray and improve my prayer life. Because look at what they accomplished with an active powerful prayer life.

  24. I LOVE TO WORSHIP THE LORD
    vs-17
Peter does not want to make his listeners feel guility about what they have done he wants them to turn to Jesus. Theres no need for us today to hammer away at other sins. What they need is not to feel guilty but to hear the good news that God forgives

  25. Even though we may not have all the money in the world, or even money to give. We can give and show you salvation. People are hungry hungry for something they think it’s money but no. It’s that unfailing love, grace that’s full of mercy.

  26. 3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

They did not have to wait to go into the house of God to build their faith, they brought it with them! They did not have to wait to go into the house of God before seeing miracles. The point is you don’t have to wait till you come into His house before having your faith boosted, you can bring that faith with you everywhere you go and see miracles take place anywhere!

  27. 2. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
We never know when our prayer is going to be answered, when our miracle is going to occur. We must be steadfast in our faith that God will provide and answer our need.He hasnever and will never be late. When he answers, we will know without a doubt that he alone performed the miracle and provided for our need!

  28. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.\
5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

How often do we walk past someone poised for their miracle, but we are distracted and miss them????

  29. “Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed—and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus’ name has healed him before your very eyes.
Acts of the Apostles 3:16 NLT

It Is by our faith in Jesus Christ that God is able to do Mighty things through us. My uncle was told that he was on the verge of a heart attack because one of the chambers of his heart did not work properly but I declared by my faith in the name of Jesus that his heart was made completely whole and the doctors would be baffled and would come with a good report. He called me the next day after getting out of the specialist’s office where they checked his heart he said the doctors could not find anything wrong with his heart. Several weeks later they checked his heart again and they still can’t find anything wrong with his heart. I’m here to tell you that it is by our faith that we can move mountains in the name of Jesus Christ. All you need is the faith the size of a mustard seed. I love you for who you are Jesus. You are such a mighty God

  30. v 1. Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

Prayer is a priority! More prayer more power.
Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world”

  31. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

Helping people in need is not always a monetary thing. We can always help out someone in need by inviting them to church or praying for them! Truly God can improve any person’s life! It is up to us to GO out and share that gospel so they can know there is God who cares! We never know what kind of miracles can be done in someone’s life so when we GO we also need to GO with faith! Faith like Peter had were he was able to command a man to get up and be healed. That is the kind of faith we need to have as we GO out in Fort Worth and reach the lost; faith that God can truly do anything! Let’s GO in Jesus name!

  32. 5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

This man got more than he expected, but if we only have enough faith to expect something from God, he will be faithful to supply our needs.

  33. 5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

We should not find it strange that people will come to us wanting one thing and leave us with power to overcome anything. Yet just because they receive the Holy Ghost and was made whole does not cancel out the fact that we must disciple them and train them to be productive in the lkingdom and how to walk upwright with God.

  34. 6. Then Pe’-ter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Je’-sus Christ of Naz’-a-reth rise up and walk. 7. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. 9. And all the people saw him walking and praising God: To God Be the Glory !!!! Thank you for Healing !!!! Praise Be to God !!!!

  35. 23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

    Just Get Over It.
    #GODOSOMETHING

  36. Whacha got?

6Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Think about if we were in the same situation, if we were Peter and John. When the lame man asked for something what would we have to give? Would we give the crazy numb a price of our mind and tell them to get a job? Would we give them a motivational soeach about how it could be better? Would we give them our knowledge? Or would we give them Jesus? We have to prepare ourselves to be ready to give out what we got. We have to keep full of the Holy Ghost so we have something to give out. Whacha Got?

  37. 25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son She Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

God wants us to turn away from sin and to seek him. There is none like him.

  38. 19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

There is no refreshing like the presence of God.

  39. “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:6, 16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Power in the name of Jesus

The name of Jesus was lifted high and this man was healed. His healing caused others to hear about Jesus so they too could be saved. After the healing when people questioned they were told about Jesus. They were told to repent so they could receive refreshing (Holy Ghost) and remission of sins. Because o the boldness of Peter and this man’s faith people received the Word of God.

  40. “Peter saw his opportunity and addressed the crowd. “People of Israel,” he said, “what is so surprising about this? And why stare at us as though we had made this man walk by our own power or godliness?”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭3:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Peter saw his opportunity and addressed the crowd. We have all had a similar opportunity to witness to those around us. Some of us have noticed and some have not. My prayer for the disciples of POFW that we would recognize and seize every opportunity to be a witness and point to Calvary.

  41. 5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

Is man in need was in great expectation of receiving from people who passed by. We can never get over a discouraged and disabled spirit if we don’t have the desire. His desire and expectation lead him to receive a miracle. The miraculous is depending on us to have this expectation in our lives.

  42. Act’s 3:19 ( In today’s English Amp) is saying, So repent ( change your mind and purpose) ;turn around and return to God), that your sins may be erased blotted out, wiped clean, that times of refreshing of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air . May come from the presence of the Lord. There is nothing like being refresh in the Lord presence. God will blot out your sins , He will make you clean.

  43. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.(Acts 3:26 KJV)

God had a plan his plan was for everyone to turn away from there iniquities for God to be able to bless his people.

  44. 7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

What has God done for you lately? Here we see an example of demonstration of gratitude. let’s not take for granted all he does for us. A lot can happen in the prayer hour.
