Psalm 98

O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.

With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together

Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

  2. Verse 1 AMP says “O sing to the Lord a new song, For He has done marvelous and wonderful things; His right hand and His holy arm have [b]gained the victory for Him.” As Psalm 96:1-2 MSG said “Sing God a brand-new song! Earth and everyone in it, sing! Sing to God—worship God!”

Verse 5 MSG says “Round up an orchestra to play for God, ADD on a hundred-voice choir.” Let’s GO and make it a thousand in Jesus name!

  3. 8. Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together

If even the floods are expected to clap their hands, it’s the least us Hills can do while we worship together with joy!

  4. 1 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

Aside from winning souls, this is what we are designed to do. To sign clap dance and make our praise open. Let the world wonder why we shout, why we clap and sing to God. Let them see who we serve and let their hearts be drawn in by it as well.

  5. Josiah: 4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.
Lets “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, ALL the earth…” God does not just want me to praise Him or just you to praise Him, but He wants “ALL the earth” I can rejoice, because the Lord is my strength, and I can rejoice because I know who my God is, the only true God. Yet God is not going to just judge the faithful, but as it say in verse “9 Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.” Notice how it says “…He cometh to judge the earth…judge the world, and the PEOPLE…” God is coming to judge, and, yes, we can rejoice, but as long as there are still lost and wanting souls out there the church is not done, for “ALL the earth” is supposed to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. God is going to judge this world too. So, let us be that city set on a hill with a fire burning. Let us be a light to this world to let all who are lost be able to come and find God, so that they can rejoice in the Lord and be saved. LET US GO BE A LIGHT! LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD! PRAISE YE THE LORD!

  6. 4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

5 Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
Praises to God are in order. Even loud praises because the bible says so. We should not be hesitant to show our praise and worship to God and to magnify Him!

  7. 1 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

I will bless the Lord I will praise his name
I will bless the lord I will praise his name
For the rest of my life, I will forever proclaim
    he’s good…..
    He’s good …

We should always keep a song in our hearts. Be joyful confuse our adversary let him know that this situation may have us down but I’m not going to stay down. The joy of the lord is my strength! I will bless the lord and give him the honor he is due.

  8. 1 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

  9. Psalms 98:4, “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praises.”

Our Rejoicing and Praise should be Joyful and Loud, full of enthusiasm, because He hath done marvelous things.

  10. GO MAKE SOME NOISE

4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

We are in desperate need of revelation to the fact and power of what happens when we PRAISE the LORD JESUS for who HE is. Unfiltered, unashamed and comppassionate PRAISE unto JESUS is not only beneficial but commanded here by the BIBLE the book of commandments.

Here the psalmist releases the poeple of GOD to make a jubilant noise. Most often we relate a noise to an irritating, annoying and distracting signal or sign that something is out of sync or rhythm.

This principal proves TRUE in this case by the fact that when the redeemed of JESUS name a JOYFUL NOISE unto the LORD: our adversary the devil, satan and all his fallen angels become irritated, annoyed and distracted from their task of disrupting and deceiving believers.

Dont be ashamed or intimidated to make a JOYFUL NOISE unto the LORD such as we did on Sunday Night 6/4/17 at The POFW.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork

  11. 4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

5 Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.

6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.

7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

8 Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together

All of God’s creation praises him continually.

  12. 1 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

New day, new song for a great God that has shown us salvation, righteousness, mercy and truth. “Our God is great and greatly to be praised!”

  13. iLove to Go Blog
Psalms 98:3 KJV  He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the “salvation” of our God.

Wow, look at this Hebrew word for “Salvation”. Does it look familiar?
    H3444
    יְשׁוּעָה
    yeshû‛âh
Feminine passive participle of H3467; something saved, that is, (abstractly) deliverance; hence aid, victory, prosperity: – deliverance, health, help (-ing), salvation, save, saving (health).

The Hebrew name for Jesus is Yeshua (ישוע). So everytime you see, hear, or speak the name “Jesus” you are in effect saying “Salvation, Deliverance, Victory, Health, Prosperity. Jesus is our salvation and He wants to save us from all the power of the enemy.

  14. 4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise

Our praise defeats the enemy, our praise shows God just how thankful we are for His great mercy, our praise looses chains, and our praise brings us through test and trials. So why would we not praise Him? Lord everyday I will awaken my praise and pour out a song from my heart!! GO in praise!

  15. Marvelous Wonderful A New Song
Psalms 98: 1 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

    Isaiah 55:12
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Peace and joy in a new song before God. He creates life, He refreshes our souls in wondrous ways. He gives us the victory we need right at the moment when we cannot seemingly find the answer. He gives us a new song. A fresh anointing. I must share it with the world!
    His Strength is Perfect!

  16. 4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

5 Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.

6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.

How Can I not Praise such a Magnificent Awesome God!

  17. Tambourine – Joyful Noise or just Noise?

4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

I can remember when I was young in Sunday School or children’s church they had a box of noise makers or instruments that each child was encouraged to use to participate in the service. There were bells, wooden blocks, rasps and of course tambourines. As we progressed from children’s church to the adult church we were not allowed to bring these instruments of praise with us. We were expected – for the most part – to sit quiet and not interrupt the service.

This was confusing. In one service I could make noise and participate in the service but in another service I was discouraged from participating. The Sanctuary is not a place for a child to learn to use wooden blocks, bells or tambourines but if a child does not know the words and does not fully understand rhythm to join in on the clapping – what is a child to do; get into mischief. As best as memory servers, in the past saints were encouraged to participate to the best of their ability. I can remember a few occasions there were multiple tambourines going – kind of a dueling tambourines scenario… 😉

We don’t encourage people to bring their own music makers. Sometimes, it’s a bit distracting and attention gathering. In our church it’s the worship team and singers up on the platform that help lead the rest of us in song to help usher in the Spirit of the Lord. And they are pretty good at it…which is the point. Rarely have I heard someone who brings a tambourine to church really sound good, keep beat and add to the experience.

I know some may be thinking, what’s the big deal…let em shake that thang. And I would if it worked. If people weren’t looking their way, thrown off by the beat, and instead were encouraged by their enthusiasm…maybe it would be different.

  18. 1 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

I praise him for opening the door of salvation to the Gentiles. Now it’s for everyone which is reason for worship and praise. When we are born born again and a made new creature, we have a new song to sing: the song of the redeemed. I praise you Jesus for your loving kindness, tender mercies and truth that endures to every generation.

  19. 9before the LORD. For the LORD is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with justice, and the nations with fairness.

Only God can judge us fairly, we don’t have to worry about God being bias, racist, or supporting one side of the isle, or a group like politicians representing one side. God will be blunt and point out our sins, and our good deeds. He’ll judge you fairly and whether you’ll make it into heaven.

  20. 1 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

The Lord our God is great and greatly to be praised!!! I praise God because of who he is and for everything that he does.Regardless of the situation, he always makes a way. He gives a peace in the midst of the storm and guides us through. My faith in him grows and my soul cannot help but sing praises unto my God who has and will always provide; is always on time and never ever fails!

  21. 4 Shout your praises to God, everybody! Let loose and sing! Strike up the band!

No matter what people say I pray I will let loose and shout praises to you God! With new a new song I’ll praise you with all that I am. I won’t care who watches or says but I will let loose and praise you God with everything because there is power in my praise to you!

  22. “The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭98:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Righteousness–
    justice, righteousness
    righteousness (in government)
    of judge, ruler, king
    of law
    of Davidic king Messiah
    righteousness (of God’s attribute)
righteousness (in a case or cause)
    righteousness, truthfulness
    righteousness (as ethically right)
    righteousness (as vindicated), justification, salvation
    of God
    prosperity (of people)
    righteous acts

God shows his righteousness in front of the heathen, no because they are good, but in a chance that it might turn them from their ways. We have all seen someone who doesn’t understand be around when God is moving, judging, or giving a miracle. God is the one one who knows how close they are to turning their life over to Him. This is why he allows for them to be present when He is working and moving. He gets he glory. It’s not our place to judge the people who are there. It’s our job to invite more and then ensure that God gets the glory for all righteousness that occurs.

Sing unto the Lord a new song.

  23. Hannah: “3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. 4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.”
I will rejoice unto the Lord through every situation because he is always there for me. Wherever each of us are the Lord is with us and I am so thankful that he has so much mercy. Without his mercy none of us would be where we are today. We need to praise him through every situation and show those who are lost our mighty God. Everyone needs the Lord and everywhere we go we need to show his light. Never stop praising the Lord and witnessing to those around you.

  24. Wonderfully prophetic Psalm of the coming Messiah unto all the earth. ‘The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.’ They recognized that salvation would come from the Lord himself and this Psalm even notes that it will be done in the sight of the heathen… the gentiles would bear witness of what God was going to do! Through his mercy his truth would be revealed not only to the house of Israel but unto all the ends of the earth… just as Jesus himself would command to his disciples!

What do we do with such a great opportunity? Just obey the rest of the Psalm! Make a joyful noise in praise! Sing with our voice, play with our instruments, clap with our hands, jump with our feet, give a roar of triumph unto the Lord! Just like Sunday night’s celebration at the altar! If the God of heaven has come done and provided so much at so great a price, let us do all unto him with all our strength, with all our passion, with praise and worship that returns all the glory unto his name! Praise ye the Lord at all times!

  25. True praise

1 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

Young people. I time of testing, the best thing that we can do is praise God. I have had the opportunity to be tested many times. And the times that I have chosen to magnify God are the times that he comes through greater. So be glad and rejoice.

  26. I Love To Worship The Lord
The psalmist again proclaims a new song the marvels God has worked include salvation and nature joins the chorus of the saved acclaiming God when he comes to judge the world

  27. 2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

There is nothing to hide about our love for God! HE is great and greatly to be praised! We should always be praising God and rejoicing in His goodness! But just as God does not hide His righteousness from the heathen, we should not be ashamed and hide our walk with God. We should be able to openly declare that He is God and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Surely God is the source of the joy we have and so we should always share that with those around us! Let’s GO share the gospel and praise Him while we do so!

  28. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

Rejoice what the Lord has done for others and yourself thank him for what he’s doing daily. There’s millions in the world and God using us each day to spread what we know about the Gospel to others. Stay holy and remember
“Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭9:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  29. 4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

We have a mandate by God to praise him, if we don’t even the rocks will cry out (Luke 19:40). This is why we just can’t sit still and hold our praise. King Herod tried to hold God’s praise and was eaten up by worms. It’s just not a physical death an idol soul is at risk of but a spiritual death separated from Jesus and eternal life.

  30. When we make a joyful noise to the Lord we create a weapon the enemy does not like. Using our praise as a weapon helps us to overcome everything the enemy throws our way. We are mighty in God.

  31. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

Hallelujah!! Praise is a powerful weapon that invites Jesus to any situation.

  32. 1 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

We have to praise him in every situation. Every day should be different song into the Lord. Today it may be because he blessed me, tomorrow may be that he kept me from trouble, the next may be that he worked something out that you couldn’t, everyday is a new song. We wake up praising and figure out the song as we GO!

  33. 1 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

His right hand refers to power, and his holy arm refers to his faithfulness according to commentaries. The Bible tells us when we receive the Holy Ghost that we receive the same power that raised up Jesus from the dead. By living a faithful and consistent spiritual life, that same power will operate within us and allow us to obtain any victory that we need.

  34. “O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭98:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I will praise the Lord with a new praise! For her is great and greatly to be praised. He has all power and full of victory. There is nothing too hard for our God! All will see the greatness of our Lord!

  35. 1 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

Our praise to God leads us to our victories and breakthroughs.

  36. 4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

    A Joyful Noise

Joy is expressed by noise. You can be happy and cheerful but what sets joy apart is the a noise that is exerted.

    What will dominate your praise?
Feeling and emotion or obedience and sacrifice.

Do we say, I’m too tired to worship or do we say, I worship because I am commanded by his word, Make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

    All action words.

  37. 7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

8 Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together

9 Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

  38. Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. The Lord has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations. He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
    Psalm 98:1‭-‬3 NIV

With all that God has done there should be a song in my heart always. Our God is an awesome God; and He reigns over my life and the lives of my family. Thank you Jesus for being the chief cornerstone in my life and showing me the correction needed for my mindset.

Shout for joy to the Lord , all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing,
    Psalm 98:4‭-‬5 NIV

Let me shout unto You the new song of life that You have placed in my heart. Thank You for bringing me back from the edge of the pit I was teatering on. I give all my praise to you Jesus. Glory to the Lord and savior of my soul.

  39. 1 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

This Psalm reminded me to sing a new song, because God has done new things. That the new song is because of a new work giving me a new reason to praise the Lord and a new marvel to thank him for.

  40. The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

  41. Psalms 98: 1 English Amp ) O Sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have wrought salvation for Him. I will sing into lord for his salvation , His mercy and loving kindness,His truth ,His faithfulness. All nations sing into the Lord for he is so good to us.God has done great things for this world.

  42. 1 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

God is worthy to be praised now and forever. Don’t let the flesh get in the way of his praise.

  43. The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.(Psalms 98:2 KJV)

The Lord shows his children how mighty and powerful his works are through miracles, signs and wonders. The blood he shed for us washes us from sin., His death and resurrection power bring us revelation of baptism and recieving the Holy Ghost.
