Psalm 104

Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:

Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.

At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.

Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.

10 He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.

11 They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.

12 By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.

13 He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;

15 And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.

16 The trees of the Lord are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;

17 Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.

18 The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.

19 He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.

20 Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.

21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.

22 The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.

23 Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.

24 O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

25 So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.

26 There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.

27 These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.

28 That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.

29 Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.

30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

31 The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works.

32 He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.

33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.

35 Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the Lord, O my soul. Praise ye the Lord.

The joy of the Lord gives me strength, just like the verses I will enter his gates with thanksgiving and praise. Worship the Lord freely just because the person next to you isn’t clapping their hands doesn’t mean you have to stop just look at them and give them that encouraging look to let them know that it’s not gonna hurt to praise the Lord.

  6. MINISTERS OF FIRE

4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

There is an element that is lacking in many ministers today. The FIRE of the LORD ministering through the FIRE of the Holy Ghost. It seems that many in ministry are more concerned about offending men than they are concerned about offending GOD.

Reading through the GOspels and the Acts we witnessed multiple times that the preaching of TRUTH offended people. Thousands turn to the LORD in Repentance while others were deeply angered. Made accusations, held trials and even persecuted the early Ministers over the TRUTH.

We do not need to be offensive with TRUTH. However, TRUTH will offend some deeply. We are called to PREACH the WORD and allow GOD to work through HIS WORD. We PREACH TRUTH in LOVE for GOD and people, but in hate for the devil and all evil works.

I hear a common buzz word among ministers that is alarming to me. Many do not refer to ministry as PREACHING but simply speaking. People speak at seminars, parties, rallies, benefits and such. But we are called by GOD to PREACH the GOspel.

    PREACH – 1: to deliver a sermon
2: to urge acceptance or abandonment of an idea or course of action; specifically : to exhort in an officious or tiresome manner.

However, the word Minister is not limited to those that PREACH.

MINISTER – 8334. sharath, shaw-rath´; a primitive root; to attend as a menial or worshipper; figuratively, to contribute to:—minister (unto), (do) serve(-ant, -ice, -itor), wait on.

It is those that clean the church, drive the bus/van, those that open the doors, teach children, play instruments, sing in the choir, participate in outreach and serve at any capacity. We are all Ministers that serve.

JESUS makes HIS Ministers a FLAMING FIRE.

    Lets GO!

  8. I. Love To Worship The Lord
Gods greatness is displayed in Creation He shaped and sustains the psalm weaves praise for God through description of creation that shows God power and elements which show his concern for living creatures no wonder why the psalmists heart and ours or filled with praise

  9. Josiah: 33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
The Lord is worthy of all praise so “I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live:” He made the heavens and the earth. He made the dry land and the waters. God made the stars also. The Lord is our rock and our salvation. Our King and our Lord and “I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.”He died on the cross so that our sins could be forgiven. The Lord has done so much and offers so much more and is worthy of all our praise. We can even praise our way out of situations and trials. SO, LET US GO PRAISE THE LORD! LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD! PRAISE YE THE LORD! HALLELUJAH!

    His Strength is Perfect

  11. 3 Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:

4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

The God we serve sits high and looks low. He walks on the wings of the wind and rides his chariot upon the clouds! Not only that but what I really like is that he sets his ministers on fire! He lights us up with the fire, flame and passion of the HG and ignites us to fulfill the passion and burden that he calls us to fulfill. I wish somebody’s soul would catch on fire!

  12. 24 O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
What a great God we serve everything in the Earth is his it’s all his I like how NLT in verse 35 said about praise it said I will praise until my last breath I could never understand how some people could walk away from God we read about all the great things God done and then I’ve seen and hear all the great things God done to them over the last pass months God has truly been test me I almost walked away I when hear that sprit I rebuke that evil Sprint in the NAME OF JESUS Christ and open my Bible and start reading about the great things of God and start praise him when I started to do I seen cloud start to move away and blessings start to flow down I was not done there I started telling people all work about the name of JESUS AND the church I go to they said wow I been looking for a church like your for years what you church name I am going have to stop by sometime 😀 late last we I was telling some of my deaf friends about my church and how bianca interpret for me when need and great she is and start showing them video about our signing team she was so excited to hear that she ask my for the address and the time church starts and then said let me ask my mom I want to come to your church 😁 what a awesome God we serve look what he doing

  13. 24O LORD, what a variety of things you have made! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your creatures.

Looks like a whole chapter on creation. He reminds us, he created land, the seas, stars, fish and land animals. Yet the unbelievers continue to deny that there is a God, and rather accept a theory. Even God takes pleasure in his creation. Let’s give God the glory for creating us.

  14. iLove to Go Blog
Psalms 104:4, “Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire”

Who are these flaming beings? Let’s check out the context of the scriptures with other scriptures in the Word.

One key verse is found in Hebrews Chapter 1. Hebrews 1:7 KJV  And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
The scripture in Hebrews is the same verse we find in Psalms 104:4. The author of Hebrews is actually quoting Psalms 104:4 and he is trying to prove a point. Hebrews Chapter 1 is declaring that Jesus is far better than the angels. The angels of the Lord simply assist those who are heirs of salvation. Hebrews 1:14 NLT Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.

Who are these ministers of fire?

2 Kings 6:16-17 KJV  And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.  (17)  And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

The ministers of fire are the angels of the Lord that are sent by God to help us. One of these angels even helped Jesus as he was on this earth.

Luke 22:42-43 KJV  Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.  (43)  And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

  15. 32 He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.

What a Magnificent God we serve, who is the ONLY God that can make the earth tremble and catch the hills on fire by His touch. He can change us in an instant but then we wouldn’t learn the lessons that we need to and we wouldn’t be able to proclaim how he brought us through! We have a song, a Praise, that the angles do not have! We have Redemption, I was once was lost and now im found, I was blind but now I see, I was dead but now im ALIVE! Thank you Jesus for all that you have done in my LIFE!
WHEN I THINK OF THE GOODNESS OF JESUS AND ALL HE HAS DONE FOR ME, MY SOUL CRIES OUT HALLELUJAH! THANK GOD FOR SAVING ME!
Lord let my soul catch on FIRE!

  16. The lord is so majestic and beautiful in all his glory! He created everything! In this psalm it describes his beauty and what he created and all was made by him. Night is because Jesus made it, day Jesus made it, and the animals he also made them. Thank you Jesus for your greatness.

  17. Everything God created has a purpose and a season. By reading this chapter we see how God is into details. So we can be encouraged that God is also into the details of our lives. If He cares for the very sparrow that falls to the ground, or the tree to have sap, how much more He cares for His blood bought children.

We are the apple of His eye.

  18. 1 Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

God should always be blessed and given praise. He is an awesome God: I thank Him for waking me everyday; for giving me strength and health. I thank Him for my job. I give honour and glory to the most high for all that He is doing in my life; to God be the Glory.

35 Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the Lord, O my soul. Praise ye the Lord.

  19. 12 By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.
13 He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
    14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;

Let God do what God does, and let us do what he called us to do. He causes the increase, but we plant the seed and till the ground. The quicker we realize our responsibility and what is God’s business the better off we will all be. Not to stress what we are not in control of and to launch in the area we do have control

  20. 1 Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

2 Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

Everyday when wake up we need to put on the light of Jesus and shine His love and majesty for all the world to see!!

  21. This psalm is a poetic chapter of gods creation and the beauty of the world.
Each of these creations mentioned are a reason to praise God.
Creation is filled with his likeness , goodness , wisdom and richness of our loving God.As you look at these creations thank God for his creativity.
Take a good look at people and see every one as a unique creation of God full of his beauty and love .

Today many people are arrogant ignorant & prideful enough to think they don’t need God. Yet our every breathe depends on him and the life he has breathed into us. We must desire of him and understanding and wisdom and his teachings.

  22. 104:24 o Lord, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy ditches.
God is a PERFECT GOD. And everything he created he said it was good!!! No tree, no rain, the sun, EVERYTHING GOD CREATED IT FOR A PURPOSE. Every thing at the right time and at the right place, with the same magnitude……..
…. but us.( we are his special creation.) set apart🙌🙌🙌

  23. 24 What a wildly wonderful world, God! You made it all, with Wisdom at your side, made earth overflow with your wonderful creations. MSG
Isn’t it amazing the wonders of the world that God has created, it amazes me when I see a rainbow or the sun coming up (which isn’t much) at how God made the earth and all its glory.

  24. “Let all that I am praise the Lord. O Lord my God, how great you are! You are robed with honor and majesty.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭104:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Praise with your all and at all times. When praise becomes your way of life is when we begin to praise with all we have. He deserves all the praise. He’s great, wonderful and majestic.

    🎶I vow to praise You
Through the good and the bad
    I’ll praise You
    Whether happy or sad
    I’ll praise You
In all that I go through
Because praise is what I do
‘Cause I owe it all to You

  25. 31 The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works.
32 He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.
33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.

God created everything to praise him and where there is praise, there is joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength. Rejoice and praise him even when in the valleys of life! His joy & strength will see us through.

  26. When we consider all the wonderful works of nature in creation how can we not join the declaration of the psalmist, ‘O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.’ It seems like such foolishness when the world refuses to acknowledge the handiwork of God in the face of such detailed design in his creation around us. We’ve all heard so many examples of things that just cannot be readily explained away even in isolation and yet despite the preponderance of evidence they prefer to retain faith in the fantastical odds of random chance somehow bringing it all to pass… and yet we’re the ones they declare to put too much faith in our beliefs. 😂

I take heart in the many examples of God’s loving work in the world around us and his infinite care in the smallest details that allow it to function while retaining the larger harmony to allow it to all to sustain itself in a fashion that allows us life! Science should never detract from our faith in God… the closer you look, the greater the need for a larger explanation of how it all is possible. How much easier to recognize that in the beginning God created…! Not a heartless universe, not a random freak of chance, but a God that so loved us he took the time to take care of even the finest details and when all else was ready and good, placed the pinnacle of his creation right in its midst! ‘I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.’ 🙌👏

  27. 33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.

As pastor preacher last night. It’s our praise that wins the battles. When we praise the one true living God. He will fight for us. We just have to keep a praise on our lips and a dance in our step. Young people- I lost my father at a young age. What got me through those dark nights, was the praise on my lips. Yes it was hard to keep my head up, yes it was difficult to see the silver lining of the situation. But through prayer and praise I won the battle. I survived. I overcame the opportunity to fall away. I don’t speak this just through my thoughts, but my experiences have taken me higher and deeper into God. Stay focused and in touch with God.
    #GODOSOMETHING for God

  28. Verses 9-23 talk about the provisions of the Lord. He has an elaborate plan to ensure that we are taken care of before we need it. Just like creation, God prepares for us before we are placed into existence. His ways are not our ways. He has no procrastination within him. His thoughts are always greater than ours because we know only in part. His infinite wisdom is relentless and ever in motion, but never changing. I will bless the Lord forever.

  29. Praise the Lord! Psalms are really great to praise the Lord and know Him for all His goodness.
The bible says the heavens talk about the works of God.
    19. He appointed the moon for seasons. If some people wanted a scientific explanation or a relation of existence of God, there are several, a simple one
the bible says He appointed the moon for the seasons. I love how awesome is my God! I will praise Him for His marvelous works and wonders that even i did not know, but He is Great and Awesome I praise Him!

  30. The bread of life

….and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.

“And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭4:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭6

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus is the strength that we need . He is the bread of life. Whenever you are worn out from the pressures of the world, we need to just eat the book, the wood of God. It is taking on the strength of Jesus himself.

  31. 7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

We so often wait until we are over our head and then call on the Lord. Yet, if we would get to the point to always have Him in our lives and allow Him to work in every area of our lives we will see that He desires to work in even the most small things of our lives. Remember at His rebuke they fled. If you need to send the enemy packing alll you have to do is call upon Him.

  32. Psalms 194:33-35 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. My meditation of him shall be sweet I will be gald in the Lord. Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth and let the wicked be no more. Bless the Lord O my soul. Praise ye the Lord.

Praise the Lord at all times, I am thankful to praise the Lord my God I don’t know where I would be if it wasn’t for the Lord. That is why I praise him.

  33. 33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
At the very word of God,the waters move to where he desires, the very forcesof nature that man has no control over yield to his voice. The God who has all power, wants to lead and guide me, bless and protect, and give me life everlasting with him. Yet, he has all power to control the Earth and the things of it; he will only direct my life if I submit to him. I will praise him because of who he is. He is the only one who can lead me through this world and being me safely to him for all eternity.

  34. Hannah: “33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.” As long as I have breath I will serve the Lord and praise him for everything he has done. He is merciful and for each of us he has done enough for us to praise him for the rest of our lives. We would be nothing without him and everyday I will praise him for what he is doing. My desire is that I will never take for granted anything that he has done and that I will always continuly praise him. Never stop praising and serving the Lord. He is the only way and he deserves all of our highest praises.

  35. 33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.

Just in case we need a reason to praise we are reminded of His marvelous works. The Lord is truly good and gives us so many daily benefits. From the moment we wake up to the time we lay down. Being alive is a blessing and being able to sleep and have the peace to rest is a tremendous blessing. While I have my being. I will praise Him. Thank you Jesus!

  36. 24 O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

This Psalm is a good remembrance of what God does throughout this world for us. Not only does He care for us and provide for us but He also cares for and provides for His creation that He made us here on earth. Glory to God! If God does so much for the beasts of the field, the birds, the plants, the fish, how much more does He care for us! We, who were created in his image! This is just more proof that God did not just leave us here on earth to try and fend for ourselves, but rather He is there for us every step of the way! Whenever we can, we can praise Him and Bless His name! HE is the closest friend! One we can call to anytime and He will answer. It is uplifting to know of His love and mercies that He shows to His children every day! Glory be to God in the highest!

  37. What a wildly wonderful world, God ! You made it all, with Wisdom at your side, made earth overflow with your wonderful creations. Oh, look—the deep, wide sea, brimming with fish past counting, sardines and sharks and salmon. Ships plow those waters, and Leviathan, your pet dragon, romps in them. All the creatures look expectantly to you to give them their meals on time. You come, and they gather around; you open your hand and they eat from it. If you turned your back, they’d die in a minute— Take back your Spirit and they die, revert to original mud; Send out your Spirit and they spring to life— the whole countryside in bloom and blossom.
    Psalm 104:24‭-‬30 MSG

Send out Your Spirit into this region! Let these people spring to life by the wonder of Your Spirit. Open Your hand to them so they may eat from what YOU give them, not the things of this world. Let this countryside bloom!!

  38. Psalm 104:33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

63:4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

Whatever trials or tribulations I go thru I will not fail to give to God his glory and due praises.

He is worthy to be praised!

  39. 24 O Lord, what a variety of things you have made! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your creatures.

Our God is truly so creative! Looking at all the things He has made. And they each have a reason and purpose. The smallest fly to the biggest elephant all has a reason.

  40. 31 The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works.

32 He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.

33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

Let’s everything that has breath praise the Lord.

  41. 8 They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.

It is not always mountain tops and lollipops. However, wherever you find yourself, know that God knows where you and has prepared the place for you. There may be some heartache in the moment but it is for a purpose. It may be a very joyous occasion; again, it is for a purpose. The point is, whatever circumstance you find yourself in, you are there for a purpose. If we seek ways to bypass the experience, we are only robbing ourselves. How do we know we can swim until we are in deep enough water that we can no longer touch bottom? We must learn to trust in the Lord and submit to His ways and understand that everything works together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

  42. 24 O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

I am reminded of Genesis where God saw his creation and that it was good. The earth is full of God’s riches from the changing Autumn leaves to the sweeping white capped mountians everywhere shows the beauty of the work of God’s hands and how great his voice forms. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised.

  43. When life isn’t going the way we planned, do we sing praises unto the Lord? If we praise God when everything is going perfect then it wouldn’t be continuous as it should (Ps 34:1). If we make up in our minds that we will praise faithfully until the day we die and thank him along the way, we can change our whole approach in life. We get to praise the Lord even when we dont feel like it as a sacrifice that honors him (Heb 13:15).

  44. The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works.
    Psalms 104:31 KJV

God is all powerful and his mercy will endure forever. We get to praise him for all his mighty works.
