Psalm 113

Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.

Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore.

From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord‘s name is to be praised.

The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high,

Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.

  1. “5 Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high,

6 Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!”

    Praise the Lord!

  2. Verse 3 AMP “From the rising of the sun to its setting The name of the Lord is to be praised [with awe-inspired reverence].” This reminds me of the song we sing “From the Rising of the Sun”. Psalm 34:1 AMP says “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

Verse 5 AMP “Who is like the Lord our God, Who is enthroned on high,”. Jeremiah 10:6 AMP says “There is none like You, O Lord; You are great, and great is Your mighty and powerful name.” No other name I know.

  3. From east to west, from dawn to dusk, keep lifting all your praises to God!
God is higher than anything and anyone, outshining everything you can see in the skies.
Who can compare with God, our God, so majestically enthroned, Surveying His magnificent heavens and earth? MSG

    1 Samuel 2:2
There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. KJV

There’s no rock like our Rock
    No stone like our Stone
He continues to rule as the ages roll on
There’s no life like our Life
    No song like our Song
Let all of creation sing it loud and strong

There’s no god like our God
There’s no god like our God
Creator and King, He rules everything
There’s no god like our God

  5. Praise the Lord! Yes, give praise, O Servants of the Lord.

  6. 3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord‘s name is to be praised.

4 The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

5 Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high,

Forever i will praise you! I will lift my hands and praise you for there is no one like you, no one else deserve the praise like you do!!

  7. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord‘s name is to be praised.
Whether the situation is sunny or seems grim PRAISE SHALL PREVAIL! We are made to be instruments of PRAISE. And how we use our ability can sometime dictate the situation we are in. If we will merely open our mouths to PRAISE THE LORD He will send out ambushes to the enemy. It is our greatest weapon. Just open our mouths and declare he is God! He is King of Kings! Praise releases angels to come to work on your behalf. Praise ye the Lord, oh ye servants of the LORD!!

  8. KJV 2 Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore.
MSG 2 Just to speak his name is praise! Just to remember God is a blessing now and tomorrow and always.

Just to speak his name is praise. Wow. I have never thought of it this way before. I have said lots of names in my life and have had my name spoken a lot. There were times when my name was spoken it was not to praise me. There are times in the Bible when we read the name of Jesus that it would appear it is being spoken in praise. I am sure we have all heard that we should not speak the name of the Lord in vain. I just have never heard that speaking his name is praise.

If we call on the name of Jesus when we are in need, we are giving him praise as the only one who can help us. If we call on the name of Jesus when things are happy we are praising him for the happiness. If I hit my thumb with a hammer and holler Jesus instead of some foul word – is that praise? According this this verse it is; why?

The name of Jesus heals, sets free, saves and delivers. That is the power of Jesus’ name. The power of His name creates miracles. Satan trembles at the mention of the name of Jesus. With all the things the name of Jesus does, I believe the most powerful is the ability to wash away our sin.

  9. 5 Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high,

6 Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

    7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.

There isn’t any god, any person like our God, He is the only one true wise God, I am so thankful for all that he has done, I just asked my kid a question yesterday about who is God? Do you know his name even? He said JESUS! And he said hes the only God! I said, alright now! I am so Grateful for all that God has done in my life and everyone he has put in my life! Thank you Jesus

Oh, Lord; how excellent, How Excellent, Is thy name, in all the earth!
    There is none like You
    None like you
    Jesus excellent
    Is Thy name

    In all the earth
    In all the earth
    In all the earth
    In all the earth
    Jesus excellent
    Is Thy name

    In all the earth
    In all the earth
    Every knee shall bow
    In all the earth
    In all the earth
    And every tongue shall confess
    Hallelujah, Glory and Honor!
    Jesus excellent
    Is Thy name

  10. Psalms 113:1-3
    1) PRAISE ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.
    2) Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.
    3) From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD’s name is to be praised.

What a privilege and honor we have as a servant and child of God to PRAISE and BLESS His Holy Name. We should PRAISE Him from morning until night, and BLESS His Holy Name from now on and forever.

Psalms 34:1 says, ” I WILL bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

  11. 3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord‘s name is to be praised.

God, You alone are worthy to be praised! “Shout to the north and the south. Sing to the east and the west. Jesus is Savior to all, He’s Lord of heaven and earth!”

  12. 7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;
8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.
9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.

My thoughts when i read this, went to my mother. She is the reason why I am the God Fearing Man I am today. She taught me that no matter what i go through, that God is always there. With that being said, She was to never have children. The Lord saw fit for one, thus far. But in reality She has many children all over this nation. As I have grown up, my house was rarely empty of children. Friends spending the night, youth from our youth group spending the night, and my cousins spending the night too. No that the majority of us have grown, and moved on with our lives, many still call her mom. Now remember, I’m the only Blood Child. But am I? We are all paid for by the blood of Jesus. So I have many Blood brothers and sisters.
Young People- We have an opportunity to be an example to the next generation, of how to live and serve God. Although we are too young to be called anyone’s mom or dad, we are not too young to be called brother or sister. We are all influencing someone. So we must, with that in mind, be a good steward of ourselves, to show the ways of the Lord most High.

#GODOSOMETHING for God and be blessed.

    • 6He stoops to look down
      on heaven and on earth.
7He lifts the poor from the dust
and the needy from the garbage dump.

Verse 6 implies that God stoops down (or humbly reaches down) and rescues the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. Wow, this is the way that many of us first came to the Lord. He rescued us from the filthy lifestyle that were trapped in. He picked us up out of the miry clay and set our feet upon the rock. God has been very good to us 🙂

  13. 5 Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high,

God is high and lifted up and no one else is like him! He sits high and looks low and that is why he is almighty!!. David said it like this: “who is man that thou art mindful of him?”

  14. 5 Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high,
6 Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

He is so good to look upon us and see our needs, to intervene in the affairs of man. His thoughts & ways are above ours and David states he humbles himself to look over us. I’m so thankful he chose to see me and rescue me and bring me into fellowship with him. There is so much to praise him for! Praise ye the Lord.

  15. Josiah: 1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.
2 Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore.
“Praise ye the Lord” Praising God is so important. In 2 Chr. 20:22 “And when they began sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.” Praise to God can let us get through situations, but praise to God is not for just the times when we may have a problem. The Bible says in Ps. 35:28 “And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.” Praise should continually be on our lips, so let us GO PRAISE the Lord at all times! LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD! PRAISE YE THE LORD!

  16. 5 Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high,
Who is like our God no one God is worthy to be praise no could compare to God because there is none like him

  17. GO UP

    7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

We have HOPE and promise through JESUS. This verse gives HOPE to us even though we are not a favorable situation. We have HOPE for every need and HOPE for a sustained BLESSING.

Dont get so discouraged about a current situation that we lose HOPE for and of our FUTURE. JESUS is our HOPE and life.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo

  18. MSG 113:1-3 Hallelujah!
You who serve God, praise God!
Just to speak his name is praise!
Just to remember God is a blessing—
    now and tomorrow and always.
From east to west, from dawn to dusk,
keep lifting all your praises to God!
4-9 God is higher than anything and anyone,
outshining everything you can see in the skies.
Who can compare with God, our God,
    so majestically enthroned,
    Surveying his magnificent
    heavens and earth?
He picks up the poor from out of the dirt,
rescues the wretched who’ve been thrown out with the trash,
Seats them among the honored guests,
a place of honor among the brightest and best.
He gives childless couples a family,
gives them joy as the parents of children.
    Hallelujah!

How can we say we are a child of the Lord if we don’t praise Him? Our live should exhibit His praise continually. Representing Him in an excellent manner will keep us from complaining, gripping, gossiping. Let’s be the light that is set on a hill that cannot be hid and shine bright with the joy of the Lord overflowing in our lives. His spirit alive in us, will attract others to us that we can share the gospel with them.

  19. “Praise the LORD! ( Hallelujah!) Praise, O servants of the LORD, Praise the name of the LORD. Blessed be the name of the LORD From this time forth and forever. From the rising of the sun to its setting The name of the LORD is to be praised [with awe-inspired reverence].”
    ‭‭PSALM‬ ‭113:1-3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

From this time forth and forever I will praise the name of the Lord! His praise shall be in my mouth at all times, for there is none other worthy enough of my praise!

From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, he is worthy, worthy to be praised!

  20. 3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord‘s name is to be praised.

One of my favorite illustrations of David’s ever since when I was young and they sang a song with the rising of the sun to the going down of the same. And the sun set behind them as they sang. Every time I see and here it I am reminded of praising him from when I get up to when I lay to rest, and reminded of how my praise could increase. May it grow in me to bless and glorify his name.

  21. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord‘s name is to be praised.

Amen no matter what is in our lives we must praise Him with all that we have. We can’t be ashamed of who we praise!!!! Jesus died but resurrected and is alive!!!!! For that alone we should praise Him!!!!

  22. Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high,(Psalms 113:5 KJV)

There’s no God in this world that can compare to Jesus Christ for he is the Master of the heavens and earth for he is the mighty one that sits upon the mighty throne for theres no one like him in all the earth.

  23. 3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord‘s name is to be praised.

4 The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

Trust and know who you’re worshipping, who you’re praising…Jesus is alive you know.
Our God is the same God he was yesterday, the same God that pulled you out of destruction or kept you away from that dangerous life style HE IS THE ONE TO BE PRAISED. This is the same God that does miraculous things every single day. The same God that will answer every prayer. So give the Lord a high praise and thank him for being blessed and blessing you with his spirit.

    Go tell someone about Jesus!
    God bless you all!

  24. 1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.

2 Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore.

3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord‘s name is to be praised.

4 The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

5 Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high,

6 Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

    7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.

What more can I say; this is one of the truest Psalms. Praise God no matter my situation. Praise Him in all that I do. Show God that no matter what I’m feeling that He gets the glory. Help me Lord to decrease and for You to increase in my life.

Phil. 4:13 I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.

  25. 1 Praise ye the Lord.

    7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.

What more can I say; this Psalm says it all. Praise God no matter the situation. Give Him all reverence and don’t allow the enemy to gain control over your situation. Thank you Jesus for giving me a heart of praise.

Phil. 4:13 I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.

  26. 1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of theLord, praise the name of the Lord.

    7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.

What more can I say; this Psalm says it all. No matter what my situation is I should always give God the praise: never allow the enemy to take away your joy.

Phil. 4:13 I can do all things through him who gives me strength.

  27. 5 Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high,
6 Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

There is No one like unto our God! HE is truly higher and more magnificent then anything I can imagine! His mercies and His love are abundant! There are so many testimonies all around us of the good things that He does for His children. Just as the apostles went forth and preached the gospel, sharing the love and power of Christ, so should I. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

  28. There is no one like unto our God. He reigns supreme over all the earth. As long as we stand on God’s word, we can stand against everything the enemy throws at us. We are mighty in Jesus.

  29. 1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.

2 Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore.

3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord‘s name is to be praised.

There is no other name given under heaven by which man shall be saved. How could we not praise the Lord. He has given us so much and purchased our salvation with His life. Praise his name Jesus for he is worthy!!

  30. From the rising of the sun to its going down The Lord ’s name is to be praised.
    Psalms 113:3 NKJV

If we apply this verse to our everyday life and praise God from when we get up until we go to sleep there is nothing that can get us down because we are in praise mode and when we praise anything can happen.

  31. 5 Who can be compared with the LORD our God, who is enthroned on high?

No one can compare to God. Yet, there are some who would like too. Those in prominent positions, celebrities, and sport stars. Just because they have money and fame, the get a sense of invisibility and feel they are not vulnerable to anything. One day, they will realize without God they aren’t nothing but mere human beings.

  32. 9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.

What you call barren, God calls fruitful. What a great message tonight about who God is! I am that I am is the one who tells the womb what to do. Sarah was barren but God said multiply. The fig tree was barren and God said die. He is the author in Sarah and the finisher in the fig tree. We learned tonight that God is not bound by our faith. He is his own boss, he works for himself, literally. God is. We have to put our faith in God is. He can do anything, our part is just believing that is true.

  33. 1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.
2 Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore.

Praise is a lifestyle. For sometimes it’s hard to get over somethings. Yet we must practice the principle of praise in all things. God, bad, ugly God is worthy of our praise

  34. 3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord‘s name is to be praised.

Praise the Lord at all times! He deserves it! He’s been too good to us!

  35. 1 Praise ye the Lord.

  36. I Will Produce Spiritual Children

9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of
    children. Praise ye the Lord.

The Lord is my Strength and My Salvation!
We are too produce spiritual chikdren. He will bless us as we know Him in His presence to produce reach this that are lost to be birthed into the kingdom.
    His Strength is Perfect

  37. 3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord‘s name is to be praised.

4 The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

  38. Regardless of where we may be in our walk with God, ‘Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore.’ That should be the determination of the saint as well as the convert. It should never grow old. I should always be willing and ready to ‘Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord… From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord‘s name is to be praised.’ He is worthy at all times! The same may not be said of ourselves, which is all the more reason to give praise to him!

The psalmist asked who is like the Lord our God? Who indeed? When we consider all the Lord has done, how could we not continue to truly praise him! We should never reach that place where we take his blessings for granted. I’m able to continue to walk with him in strength because his mercies are new every morning.. so should not my praise be renewed every day! ‘The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.’ Let us praise the Lord at all times!

  39. Psalm 113:7-8( English Amp) The Lord raises the poor out of the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap and the dung hill, (8) That He may seat them with princes, even with the prince’s of His people. This is how Jesus took me out filthy dirty life that I was living in. I was born again he wash me clean when I repented for every thing I did wrong in my life. I love Jesus 😇
    .

  40. “He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭113:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The barren woman must have great faith to continue in the ways of a woman. Ladies do many things. They take care of cooking, cleaning, dishes, laundry, and their families. Before a woman has children she does all of these things for few people. There is more time to sit and think about what might be. For a barren woman it is easy for them to be discouraged. They might see the barrenness as a test or even their fault. What that occurs it leads to little faith, poor attitudes, and fewer steps of walking in faith. Oh but when a barren woman focuses on God she continues to have her faith. She walks in faith and keeps her joy. When she keeps her joy she remembers the greatness of God and all his mercies and love for us, her faith is in teased and her miracle happens because she is able to put her feet with her faith and walk it out.

  41. 9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.

When we night think we have nothing to offer God can open us up and cause us to be fruitful. It may seem like we have nothing and going nowhere but if we keep going. The persist woman with an issue of blood (Luke 8:44) the Caananite women with the demon possessed daughter (Mat 15:27-28) or the persistent widow with the judge (Luke 18:5) they all received great miracles because they were not content in their current barren situations. Once we make up in our mind that we won’t settle for anything less than the miraculous that expectation is the womb for the fruit God wants to bless us with. It’s not by power nor by strength but by his Spirit.

  42. 5 Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high,

“There’s no God like our God!”
“There’s no God like our God!”
    “Commander and King,”
    “He rules everything,”
“There’s no God like our God!”
