Psalm 119

Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.

Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.

O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!

Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.

I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.

11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.

13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.

14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.

15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.

16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

17 Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.

18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

19 I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.

20 My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times.

21 Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.

22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.

23 Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.

24 Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counselors.

25 My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.

26 I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.

27 Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.

28 My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.

29 Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.

30 I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.

31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame.

32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.

33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.

34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.

36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.

37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.

38 Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear.

39 Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.

40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.

41 Let thy mercies come also unto me, O Lord, even thy salvation, according to thy word.

42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.

43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.

44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.

45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.

46 I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.

47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.

48 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

49 Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.

50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.

51 The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from thy law.

52 I remembered thy judgments of old, O Lord; and have comforted myself.

53 Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.

54 Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.

55 I have remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and have kept thy law.

56 This I had, because I kept thy precepts.

57 Thou art my portion, O Lord: I have said that I would keep thy words.

58 I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.

59 I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

60 I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

61 The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten thy law.

62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.

63 I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.

64 The earth, O Lord, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.

65 Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Lord, according unto thy word.

66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.

67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.

68 Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.

69 The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.

70 Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law.

71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

73 Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

74 They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.

75 I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.

76 Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.

77 Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.

78 Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts.

79 Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have known thy testimonies.

80 Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed.

81 My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word.

82 Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?

83 For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes.

84 How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?

85 The proud have digged pits for me, which are not after thy law.

86 All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.

87 They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.

88 Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.

89 For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

91 They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants.

92 Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

93 I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.

94 I am thine, save me: for I have sought thy precepts.

95 The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: but I will consider thy testimonies.

96 I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad.

97 O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

102 I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.

107 I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O Lord, according unto thy word.

108 Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord, and teach me thy judgments.

109 My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law.

110 The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.

111 Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.

112 I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end.

113 I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love.

114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

115 Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.

116 Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

117 Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.

118 Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit is falsehood.

119 Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: therefore I love thy testimonies.

120 My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.

121 I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.

122 Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.

123 Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.

124 Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.

125 I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

126 It is time for thee, Lord, to work: for they have made void thy law.

127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

129 Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.

130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

131 I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments.

132 Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.

133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

134 Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts.

135 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes.

136 Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.

137 Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments.

138 Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful.

139 My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.

140 Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

141 I am small and despised: yet do not I forget thy precepts.

142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights.

144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

145 I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will keep thy statutes.

146 I cried unto thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies.

147 I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word.

148 Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.

149 Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: O Lord, quicken me according to thy judgment.

150 They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.

151 Thou art near, O Lord; and all thy commandments are truth.

152 Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

153 Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law.

154 Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word.

155 Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.

156 Great are thy tender mercies, O Lord: quicken me according to thy judgments.

157 Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies.

158 I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.

159 Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O Lord, according to thy lovingkindness.

160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

161 Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.

162 I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

163 I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love.

164 Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.

165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

166 Lord, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments.

167 My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.

168 I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways are before thee.

169 Let my cry come near before thee, O Lord: give me understanding according to thy word.

170 Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.

171 My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.

172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

173 Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.

174 I have longed for thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my delight.

175 Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.

176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

  1. 34. Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

    73. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

    99. I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

    104. Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

    125. I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

    144. The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

    169. Let my cry come near before thee, O Lord: give me understanding according to thy word.

    Proverbs 4:
    5. Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

    7. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

  2. The word of God is sufficient to make us wise and to teach us in righteousness .We can trust in the Lord to help us build our character and our faith.

  3. Verses 1-8 MSG “You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God. You’re blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. That’s right—you don’t go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set. You, God, prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it. Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set; Then I’d never have any regrets in comparing my life with your counsel. I thank you for speaking straight from your heart; I learn the pattern of your righteous ways. I’m going to do what you tell me to do; don’t ever walk off and leave me.” This chapter speaks of staying the course. We must remember II Timothy 3:14 NLT that says “But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.” We cannot afford to stop; but, rather do as II Timothy 4:5 NLT where it says ” But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.”

A portion of verses 73-80 MSG says “I can see now, God, that your decisions are right; your testing has taught me what’s true and right.” Sometimes we may not be able to see the big picture as God does; but, that is where our faith comes in. We may not understand the “why” we are going through so much or the “way” things are turning out; but, we serve a God who does know. Psalm 31:14 CEV says “But I trust you, Lord, and I claim you as my God.”

  4. 10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.

Verse 11 sums up the importance of upholding and keeping the word of God to your heart, to flee from sin. While one can know scripture backwards and forwards and still sin as much as any devil, it’s the hiding it close to your life line, your heart, that separates you from sin. Sin is the only obstacle between us and God. It’s the only thing that can separate us from holiness, it’s the cause for death and the result of not fleeing temptation. The cause of why so much evil lurks around us…when the word is near our hearts is acts as a shield and a sword fighting off our inner battle to follow our flesh. We are given the key to upholding holiness, hiding and treasuring the word of God near our heart.

  5. 133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Guide me, LORD! Let me not fall off course. Let me not give an opportunity for evil to have any authority over my life or the life of my family. I pray that You alone are the driving force of what governs our actions, in Jesus name!!

  6. I LOVE TO WORSIP THE LOD
    vs:59-60
I thought about the wrong direction in which I was headed and turned around and came running back to you
This really applies to me years ago and some recently yes thank you Jesus for dealing with me when I was headed in the wrong direction and came back to your safety
Also thank you pastor for the same thing for my self and I’m sure others pastor has seen some of his sheep headed in the wrong direction and came and got them and steread the in the right direction

  7. 9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

We Go to the Lord when we have a heavy burden on our heart, we weep and cry out asking for help. Thank God for the word, for the new revelations I get everytime we speak. Yes, I look down at my bible and I’m speaking to it asking God whatever it is on my heart that day. It’s as sweet as honey as soon as it’s revealed. So throughout my day sometimes things don’t go my way but that doesn’t stop me from praising God No! I’m reminded what God has done for me everyday when I wake up and look in the mirror saying “WoW” God has done a number on me. Not just my appearance either. I know not many of you knew me before but I’ve shown most of you pictures of who I use to be and I looked like a monster I even felt like a monster. I’m not ashamed of what God has done, the only time I was ashamed was when I was lost. I’m sure that’s how it feels for most. So thank God for the word, the word being the lamp that guides us daily. Thank God for the Holy Ghost for that’s the oil to your lamp.

    God bless you all!

  8. 9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
How is a young man to clean and purify himself? Through the word of God! The word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than a two edged sword! The word of God will straighten any young man (or young woman) out. The word of God will transform lives! We must get into the word of God and let it speak to us.

  9. 16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.

34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

174 I have longed for thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my delight.

David truly loved God, He longed to have complete understanding of Gods commandments, his word, He Loved Gods word! My prayer is that I develop the heart for God that David had, to me David had a repentive heart, and a heart for worship and praise, he was a great man of God, did he make mistakes? Yes, but he repented and he accepted Gods correction! Im positive he didn’t like them, but what child does? God you are so amazing!

  10. 10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.

10 With all my heart I have sought You, [inquiring of You and longing for You]; do not let me wander from Your commandments [neither through ignorance nor by willful disobedience].
11 Your word I have treasured and stored in my heart, that I may not sin against You.
12 Blessed and reverently praised are You, O Lord; teach me Your statutes. (AMP)

JESUS today YOU will SAVE me!!

  11. Psalms 119:1-3
    1) BLESSED are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
    2) Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
    3) They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.

BLESSED, HAPPY, JOYFUL are the undefiled (pure, wholesome, without blemish, free from stain). Why? because they walk in the law of the LORD. They walk according to God’s Word. They keep His testimonies. They obey and live by His Word. They seek Him with the whole heart. The search for His Will in their life. They do no Iniquity. They don’t sin. They walk in His ways. They follow after the LORD.

Help me JESUS to walk according to Your Word, Obey and Live by Your Word, Seek Your Will in My Life, Not to Sin, and Follow after You.

  12. 9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
“Oh no! What am I thinking!? My mind is going crazy with thoughts. Why am I so carnal right now?”

Struggles come our way every single day, but God’s word is like a washing machine we just dive ourselves on in and come out smelling good and thinking good and wanting to do good! Through out ALL of PSALMS 119 he talks about how he loves God’s Word! His heart hurt for all that didn’t follow God’s Commandments. This world is lost and most do not know God’s word. We need to be somewhere giving a bible study or winning a soul. It is the time and the day! Thank you Jesus!

  13. 99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

102 I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.

105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgment. 133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

169 Let my cry come near before thee, O Lord: give me understanding according to thy word.

  15. GO UP AT MIDNIGHT

62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.

During the dark seasons of life, we are tempted to hide from and seclude ourselves from troubles, situations and circumstances. When TRUTH is revealed and HOPE is reminded. Regardless of the darkness or pain, we should rise to give thanks to GOD. Regardless of the situation oe circumstance, we have HOPE in Christ JESUS. Midnight is the turning point of a day and or situation.

JESUS is calling us in these last days to rise above adversity, pain, sorrow, grief and sin to give thanks to HIM. We thank HIM because he is RIGHT. JESUS will judge RIGHT. We will not be taken advantage of, we will not be forgotten by HIM.

Strengthen your FAITH to RISE to Thank HIM for HIS Goodness and HIS Righteous judgments.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Lets GO be STRONG in the LORD. GO UP AT MIDNIGHT to Praise and give thanks.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo

  16. Go to the Lord for everything! To thank him, to report to him, to ask him things. Our Lord is our everything. He is the author and finisher of everything we do! Thank you Jesus!

  17. iLove to Go Blog
Wow, I received great insight into this chapter today in a simple way… I came to realize this whole chapter focuses on a central theme of loving the Word of God. What the psalmist is saying is he loves the Word of God. He loves the judgement of God. He loves the precepts of God. Throughout the entire chapter it revolves around the adoration of the Word.

Psalms 119:97 O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

We must love the Word of God more than anything else in this world.

  18. Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts. They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths. You have charged us to keep your commandments carefully. Then I will not be ashamed when I compare my life with your commands.
    Psalms 119:2‭-‬4‭, ‬6 NLT
Oh what joy it is to see God people obey his law and follow his ways oh what joy it’s to see God people love like Jesus loves us oh what job it’s to not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to go out and tell the world about Jesus

  19. 174 I have longed for thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my delight.

175 Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.

176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

Lord help my attitude be like this to want to be corrected when i see i have been fallen short. I dont want to be to full of pride thinking no one has the right to do that. God hates a sprit of pride. When I fall i shall arise. I will lean upon Gpds word and hide his word in my heart so I will not sin agaist him.

  20. 104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

David declares how he loves God’s word and his commandments and yet knows he needs the help and hand of the Lord every day. He understands the power of praise and seeks the Lord daily to be his help among the unrighteous. He acknowledges his failures and states his strengths. What an example for us to follow today.

  21. Statutes is mentioned numerous times in this chapter. What is statutes?
Webster says “an act of a corporation or founder intended as a permanent law”

The statutes in God’s word that will help us in everyday life, if we will learn them and apply them. They will teach us to walk right, live right, speak right, be right and most importantly to grow in our relationship with Him and others.

His statutes should become our nature, words to live by.

54 Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.

  22. Psalms 119
    1. Blessed are the undefiled in the way who walk in the law of the Lord.
This first verse is the setting to this chapter.
Walking in the law of the Lord. Each verse is so full of wisdom. Many we have memorized throughout our walk with God.
    Then in the midst of this chapter we find more encouragements;
Psalms 114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
    Again hope in the Word.
If we will hide in Him and seek His word daily He will be our shield to the tactics of the enemy.

Then right before the end of this chapter
    Psalms 119: 174
I have longed for thy salvation,oh Lord; and thy law is my delight.

We must continue daily to long for His salvation. To desire to Go Deeper in a real relationship with Him. Searching for more of Him daily. Seeking after His ways.
We cannot allow anything, anyone to distract us from. His ways. His will. His word. His Work. In Jesus Name.
    His Strength is Perfect

  23. 10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.

11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.

62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.

Lord even in my darkest moments, help me to keep seeking after You and Your word, to keep Your statutes, to not wander off the path that You have for me, and to keep Your praise on my lips! Jesus today You will save me!

  24. Josiah: : 72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.
God’s word is better than anything this world has to offer. It even says “1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.” In verse 81 it says “I hope in thy word.” In verse 98 it says “Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies” God’s word has so much to offer us. Through His word we can become wiser, and hope in it. God’s word can even guide us through life. It says in verse 105 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” The Bible alone will not save us, but it can show us what to do and can help us GROW spiritually. So, let us GO SEARCH God’s word! LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD! PRAISE YE THE LORD!

  25. Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.

Amen!!! The enemy has no dominion over my life, my family, my ministry, my church. Even if Things get hard which they have I will keep on keeping the commandments of my God!!! Because I know that Jesus will take care of me! I don’t want to never leave God because I can’t wait for that day that I will be in heaven rejoicing and worshipping Him!!! You are my everything Lord!!!

  26. 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.

We have to be determined to keep His commands, it won’t just happen.

My heart knows when I am trying to do good, and do it, and when I am kept from evil, because of His unfailing mercies…

  27. 133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Thy words, thy statutes, thy precepts, thy judgements, thy testimonies, thy law, thy commandments…it is all used to instruct in the way of life. To correct ones actions, to guide, to point the way to blessing, to find eternal life. Pray for a hunger for the word of God and open eyes to see the riches in all His commands. It’s time to Go and Eat this Word.

  28. 176 I have wandered away like a lost sheep; come and find me, for I have not forgotten your commands.

We all go through a phase in life, that we feel lost like a sheep. We feel, we are not connecting to God. Even though we have not forgotten his commands, we still feel like something is missing. It’s up to you to come back to God, and let God draw you in. This is the time for prayer and just speak to God, and all will be good again.

  29. Let me always seek after the face of God! Seek after His Word! It will always stand true and solid despite all that goes on around us! Let nothing stand between me and His Word; between me and God!  “Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.” No matter what I can always turn to His Word! This is one of the best blessings of life here on earth! We can always look to His Word for guidance and encouragement each and every day! Just as David holds fast to His Word, I want to do the same! Never let go and continually put His Word into my heart ! HE will always be faithful!! Praise God!!

  30. 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me
Putting the word of God into your heart will lead and guide you into doing what He would have you to do regardless of what those around are doing. It does not matter what the situation, what the circumstance, His word has the answer. We just have to make sure that we follow what He says; it will always keep, bless, protect and save us from very foolish decisions.

  31. Quickened

9 times in this chapter it says ” Quicken Me.”

Quicken- to revive or restore life to

25 My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.

Let me love according to the word. You don’t truly live until you are living according to his word.

    John 10:10
… I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Quickem me Lord that I may love by your word. If we really want revival in our church it will start with this prayer. Revival starts in our personal relationship with Him. Your personal revival will dictate the congressional revival to come. Let us be quickened oh Lord and let revival come to our church!

  32. 8 I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.
9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Young people it is imperative that we keep God’s commandments. When we do so, there are great blessings that come from obedience. It’s when we understand his statutes, apply them, and do them. That we then can hide them within us. It’s not to literally hide them and not let others see them, but hide them in a manner that we never let go of them. How cam someone take something if they don’t know where it is. GOD’S statutes are that valuable. We must hide them that we may not sin against him.

  33. “Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:165‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    Want Peace & Joy?!
Love the instructions of the Lord! When it’s done in love, we do it because we WANT to, not because we HAVE to.

  34. 165 Great peace have they who love your law: and nothing shall offend them

People will act out because they don’t get their way, plot evil against us and persecute us but through it all we prove who our father is by how we handle it. Offenses will come in fact they are guaranteed Luke 17:1 & Matt 18:7 and their is woe to those who cause them. And judgment to those who cause others to stumble for their carelessness. It’s better to enter the kingdom of God separated from the things that beset us repented than having blood on our hands. (Matt 18:6). It’s better to be the one to be challenged by another’s offense than to be the one doing the offending. Great peace that cones from God protects the one being attacked. Trespasses and temptations will come it’s how the believer choses to follow after the flesh or the Spirit. The Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak Matt 26:41.

  35. “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.

For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments. Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:11, 62, 89-90, 97, 103, 105, 114, 127, 164-165‬ ‭KJV‬‬

These are just a few of the famous scriptures quoted from this chapter recently. They are precious, as are the ones that are not as famous. Each one give guidance, direction, or encouragement, something to lift the reader. –Read and encourage yourself in the Lord.

  36. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.(Psalms 119:11 KJV)

My Gods word is valuable i treasure it to myslef that I will hold on to it for the rest of my life. It is like breath to my body without it I stop breathing. I must hide the Word of God in my heart for it is him who makes me strong.

  37. 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

The word literally illustrates the dangers and snares the enemy has set in the darkness. The word is the only light that brings revelation about the spirit realm.

It also reveals the path way that needs to be taken. With out the word, we walk amiss when we forsake the source that guides us in this dark world.

In a dark word, light is the most critical asset we can have.

  38. 1-6 You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God. You’re blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. That’s right—you don’t go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set. You, God, prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it.
    Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set;

God you set a right way for me to live and I pray that everyday I’ll give myself to you. Let me sacrifice myself to you so you can use me. Let me follow the path you put for me and I stand upon your word that gives me a sturdy ground. Thank you God for keeping me on track! God my life is as close as my hands, you let me choice and I thank you Lord for letting me be able to follow after you! God no mater what others may say let me stay looking forward and straight into your word. Thank you God for guiding me on my path to you!

  39. Leaders cannot show the way until they know the way

Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do not iniquity; They walk in His ways.
    Psalm 119:1-3

Psalm 119 holds high the words of wisdom of God and convinces us to treasure it more than anything else in life.

  40. 9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

These verses describe good reasons to contiuely study his word. And as It recently came to me. God is his word (John 1) so as we put his word into our hearts we are putting Jesus in. Preventing us from sin, because Jesus is hidden in our hearts.

  41. 39 Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.

God’s judgements are good: I fear for God to judge me not worthy to enter HIS kingdom. There are times that I feel not worthy to learn HIS word or to even be in Gods presence. Then I have to stop and say the devil is a liar. I AM WORTHY OF GODS PRESENCE: I AM WORTHY OF THE WORD OF GOD. THE DEVIL HAS NO PLACE IN MY LIFE; BY THE POWER AND AUTHORITY OF MY LORD AND SAVIOR SATAN YOU HAVE NO POWER OVER ME; HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!

  42. Psalm 119 :33-34 (English Amp) Teach me , O Lord, the way of Your statutes, and I will keep it to the end [steadfastly] . (34) Give me understanding, that I may keep Your law; yes, I will observe it with my whole heart, [ Prov.2;6] For the Lord gives skillful and godly Wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. Lord help me stay on the right path to keep your statutes according to your word.To walk right to talk right to live right .I can make without the Lord.

  43. 9-10 How can a young person live a clean life? By carefully reading the map of your Word. I’m single-minded in pursuit of you; don’t let me miss the road signs you’ve posted. I’ve banked your promises in the vault of my heart so I won’t sin myself bankrupt.

What does it mean to be single minded? According to Webster: having or concentrating on only one aim or purpose. Can a person be single minded towards Jesus and His Kingdom things? Is there an example we can follow? Let’s consider Joseph. After Joseph was sold to Egypt, he was assigned to work in the household of Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh and captain of the guard. Potiphar trusted him completely.

Even though he was repeatedly tempted, he kept on choosing to give God his single mindedness so that God’s will could be fulfilled. Because of his choice to stay single-minded, Joseph was easily conformed to God’s image and everyone who saw him was aware that “God was with him.” In other words, he showed forth God’s character.
