Psalm 128

Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.

The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.

  1. The Lord shall bless the out of Zion , and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of the life.

  2. Verse 1 AMP “Blessed [happy and sheltered by God’s favor] is everyone who fears the Lord [and worships Him with obedience], Who walks in His ways and lives according to His commandments.” Same verse NIV “Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him.” Obedience is key and requires a dedication of heart (will). Hebrews 12:28 NLT “Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.” 1 Thessalonians 4:1-2 NLT “Finally, dear brothers and sisters,[a] we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more. For you remember what we taught you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.”

  3. 1. Those who stand in awe of the Eternal – who follow wherever He leads, committed in their hearts-experience His blessings! Voice

It is much easier to live for God (and receive the benefits thereof) once you have fully committed to it and settled it in your heart and mind.

  4. Psalms 128:1 & 4
    1) Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.
    4) Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.

Fear the LORD, walk in His ways, and be Blessed.

  5. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

  6. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

  7. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

You can fear the lord, but if you’re not walking his ways you won’t be blessed. Blessed are those that are going day by day striving to be more like HIM! In order for the Lord to be in our favor we must abide by his rules, his way of life that is drawn out perfectly for us. Perfection is impossible for man and woman but don’t give up. When the adversary thinks he got the best of you prove him wrong. When you’ve been knocked down get up swinging….so that means pray harder, fast longer, worship louder! God is always on a move but it seems sometimes we don’t grab his hand like we should.
    God bless everyone

“How joyful are those who fear the Lord — all who follow his ways!”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭128:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Wow, the best way to get joy is to fear the Lord and follow his ways. I can imagine that the most miserable people on earth are those who backslide. Even those who are on the fence must be miserable. True joy is to honor and respect the Lord in everything we do.

  9. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom…one of the things lacking in society is fear. When people forget who God is and his nature of judgment they slack. God is still a God of judgement, his grace is wide and deep but sin is still sin. The first thing of our warfare prayer card we are supposed to pray every day, is loosing the fear of the Lord upon every person in fort Worth. If people will fear the Lord…things will fall in place behind it.

  10. 6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.

Something very interesting, my father has been a apostolic for over 30 years. He has been hearing and holding on to the hope of the taking away of the church for a long time.

I remember when I turned 18, my father told me with amazement,”I never thought that I would get to see you grow up to be this old!”

He always believed that the rapture would take place before I turned 18. But he was blessed to be able to see his children’s children’s children.

  11. 4 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.

Having fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Psalms 111:10 and Proverbs 9:10) growing in this wisdom in knowledge means being fruitful from the inside out. Physically and spiritually. With this humble servantlike spirit it bares peace for not only us to enjoy but the generations to come.

  12. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Bless are the one that follow the law of God and walk in his ways

  13. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

  14. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

Can’t have one without the other; respect/reverence and obey the Lord!

  15. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

4 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.

5 The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.

I love the Lord, I know that I am blessed and make mistakes, but I get up and ask God for forgiveness, because I want to please my Father and I dont want him to be disappointed with me! I love you Jesus!

  16. AMP – Blessed [happy and sheltered by God’s favor] is everyone who fears the Lord [and worships Him with obedience],
Who walks in His ways and lives according to His commandments.
    2
For you shall eat the fruit of [the labor of] your hands,
You will be happy and blessed and it will be well with you.

    Fear – to reverence

When we have respect, high honor for the Creator, it brings a new light to our relationship. Godly fear but life into perspective and brings benefits to our lives that are priceless.

  17. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.
2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Being blessed and favored of God doesn’t mean we don’t need to work! We will not be lacking as we work and he will bless our labors whether they are for our own livelihood or in ministry. As we walk in his ways we are covered.

  18. 6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.

To those who walk with and serve the Lord God promises his peace upon them. He grants his peace not only to them but to their children forever. Our living for and serving the Lord not only blesses us but our children so we should be sure to walk with God.

  19. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

May I do this all the days of my life. That I walk a holy life doing his will where he wants. That I love and fear the Lord with all my heart and soul and mind. That one day I may be called a friend of God.

  20. GO IN BLESSING

1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

People profess to fear the LORD but continue in sin. Deceiving, lying, gossiping, drinking, smoking, consuming drugs, lusting, stealing and the list goes on. However the FRUIT or EVIDENCE that someone fears the LORD is displayed by the Favor and or Blessing of GOD.

The greatest lie of satan is to say, “because someone has money or possessions that they are BLESSED”. While this is a valid, definition of being BLESSED by GOD, it is absolutely not the first indicator of a BLESSED life. Most BLESSED people do not hold a lot of money, because they reinvest into the Kingdom of GOD.

The most accurate indicator of the BLESSED life is the LIFE that says GOD is FIRST and GOD says of that life, THEY are MINE. How do we know they are BLESSED?

Are they leading others to JESUS?
Do they walk in PEACE or is chaos always around them?
    Do they have Spiritual Authority?
    Do they have FAITH?
    Do they PRAY?
    Are they FAITHFUL?
    Are they HONEST?
    What is their INTEGRITY?
Do they WORSHIP with TIME, TALENT and TREASURE?
Do they GIVE GOD the GLORY in all things?
    Do they complain?
    Are they easily offended?
Are they BLESSED or in DEBT?
Do they have money or owe money to have possessions?
Do they obey the WORD of GOD in finincial support of the Kingdom of GOD?(Tithe and Offering)
Do live a life of holiness? Separated from this world and committed to JESUS?

This is an elementary and introductory list of indicators of questions to ask ourselves to verify that we are BLESSED by GOD because we fear (respect) HIM and promises of BLESSING and judgement.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  21. Psalm 128

1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

I am Blessed, I am Blessed every day that I live I am Blessed. When I wake up in the morning or I lay my head to rest, I am Blessed I am Blessed.

Lord thank you for the reassurance that You are always right their leading and guiding. Helping us to reach out and let the world know that we are blessed by You. You are faithful and sustaining in everything. I will continue to lift Your Name up and exalt You. You are my Everything. I am truly blessed. The world may not understand how we can say we are blessed as we walk through trials but oh the peace that comes from living for a True God is the real blessing. His peace flowing. I am Blessed!

    His Strength is Perfect!

  22. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

The values outlined in God’s word are love, service, honesty, integrity, prayer, and reading and living by His word. If you follow these, serve in the kingdom, and live your life to please God, you will be blessed!

There is always a sense satisfaction and happiness when you commit yourself fully to a project and work really hard to complete it and it turns out great! I believe that when you commit yourself fully to God and work really hard in His kingdom you will have an even greater sense of happiness!!

  23. Josiah: 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.
We are blessed when we trust in the Lord and obey His word. Jeremiah 17:7 says “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.” Psalms 94:12 says “Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law:” Pains 115:11 says “Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.”When we trust in the Lord and fear Him we can be blessed. So, let us GO BOLDLY for our trust is in the Lord! LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD. PRAISE TO THE LORD!

  24. Psalm 128:2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Isaiah 3:10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

  25. Walking the walk in addition to talking the talk is clearly important. The psalmist doesn’t end with fearing the Lord, respecting God and believing in him, but walking in his ways… not our ways or near to him, but walking on the straight and narrow path defined by God that leads to his eternal promise. Notice that requires an effort on our part, just as we are blessed by the labor of our hands. That is what brings true happiness, not waiting for God to come along and spoon feed us every morsel, but knowing he’s provided us with the strength in our labor that we could enjoy the fruits thereof.

Significant extension of that analogy continues in the description of our family. A wife is a fruitful vine while our children are olive trees… both of which require effort on our part for their fruit to be full. A good family is not an accident any more than good children come along by chance. It requires a constant vigil and intentional effort of nourishment… that is why one of the qualifications given for those who would provide leadership and direction in the church to first be good rulers over their own home. The peace and sanctity of God upon the places where we spend the majority of our time is crucial and demands our attention. If we lack the time to do so in the place where we spend so much time together, what makes us think we can make time and be more successful with those over whom we’ll have so much less time to influence?

When make the decision to walk in his ways and take the time to demonstrate the fruit of that decision in our homes, God declares we shall be blessed! He reminds us that blessing comes forth from Zion.. we’re not hidden hermits, we take our family to church and become just an integral part of the family of God! Strong homes make for a strong church and associating with a strong church allows us the blessing of seeing our children’s children walking in that same path. I have no greater joy than to know my children walk in truth!

  26. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.
2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

    Work for what you have.

My father taught me at a young age the responsibility of a dollar. Wow more parents need to teach their children this. Yes I got an allowance, but I worked hard for it. And through this my parents taught me how to tithe and how to give a true offering to God. And through this teach I have been blessed in my life. The power of working for what you have. It makes you appreciate what you have and what people bless you with.
Young people- in the kingdom we must work for souls. New souls. Souls that have strayed away from this gospel. We must also work physically for what we have. Don’t get this world’s attitude of everyone owes you something, because they don’t. The only thing that we don’t work for , nor deserve but get. Is salvation. We don’t work for it. It’s a gift from God to us. All we have to do is receive it.
    #GODOSOMETHING and receive your salvation.

  27. Salmo 128 habla sobre el hombre que teme a Dios y le obedece andando por los caminos de bien y así Dios le Bendesira junto con su familia

  28. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

Surely, there is no end to God’s blessings! He truly pours them out upon His people. Yes, there are times when it does not seem as if we are getting blessed, but God is just preparing us for what is to come. He always takes care of us and looks out for our well being. His mercy endures forever! Keep walking in His ways, fear the Lord, and He will keep you safe! HE will bless you beyond all measure! Praise the Lord!!

“Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.  And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.” – Psalms 72:18‭-‬19

  29. 6May you live to enjoy your grandchildren.

Yes, I would love to live a long life to see my grandchildren one day. I never got to know my grandparents. I missed out on their wisdom they could have provided.

  30. Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord .
    Psalms 128:4 KJV

People from the world think that becoming a Christian is losing out and not being free. That is just a lie that the enemy makes them believe. The truth is that living for God is the real freedom and is the most blessed. He is our provider, healer, comforter; He is the I AM whatever you need. He who fears God and lives to please Him will be blessed and favored by the one who created the heavens and the earth.

  31. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

Fear unto the Lord is not something that everybody has. Ever since I remember my parents always taught me respect. Respect is something that is given and it’ll be given to you. So when I was introduced into the gospel I knew better than to ignore the gospel and keep living the way I wanted to. I fear the Lord and know what He is capabale of, for that I will serve Him for the rest of my life.

  32. Salmo-128:5y 6 Bendigate Jehová desde Sion,Y veas el bien de Jerusalén todos los días de tu vida, Y veas a los hijos de tus hijos.Paz sea sobre Israel.

  33. 1Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

Many people fear God but “blessed people” fear Him and walk in His ways. To fear Him is to respect Him and to walk in His ways is submission and obedience. I’m thankful that He is still working on me. When I fail He sets me on the correct path and I have to be willing to walk according to His ways.

  34. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways

The possibilities are endless for those that fear or reverence the Lord. True fear in this since is like the reverence and obedience to a king. We do exactly as the king says because of his power. This goes hand and hand with the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The inheritance of his kingdom is only contingent upon our obedience to his word or our fear of his word. Fear of God is not an old school way of life, it is the right way of life. If God never changes and his word is forever settled in heaven then their is no ” Old School fear of the Lord” there is only right and wrong lifestyle.

  35. “Blessed [happy and sheltered by God’s favor] is everyone who fears the LORD [and worships Him with obedience], Who walks in His ways and lives according to His commandments. For you shall eat the fruit of [the labor of] your hands, You will be happy and blessed and it will be well with you.”
    ‭‭PSALM‬ ‭128:1-2‬ ‭AMP‬‬

What a blessing living for God is. Walking in His ways and worshipping with obedience isn’t grievous. When we love Him with all heart, soul and mind we will keep His commandments.

“Jesus answered, “If anyone [really] loves Me, he will keep My word (teaching); and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling place with him.”
    ‭‭JOHN‬ ‭14:23‬ ‭AMP‬‬

  36. 5 The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

The abundance of blessings that comes out of fearing, reverence, obey, and submission to our God are so many and to know that no matter where we are, we will always be blessed!!!! Thank you Kesus for giving us your Name and washing isbwith your blood!!!!

  37. 4 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.

5 The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.

God blesses those who follow His commandments.

  38. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

Thank you Jesus! Fearing of the lord turns into wisdom. And with the wisdom of the lord is a great thing. Only can you obtain wisdom, by following the lords ways and fearing him. I will not loose the lords commandments. Thank you Jesus

  39. Psalm 128:6 (English Amp) Yes, may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel ! I prayed that some day I hope that my children’s Tommy and Ashley bring there family to my church and be filled with the Holy Ghost. They will raise there kids up in church. I PRAY TO GOD FOR GOD PROTECTION BE APON MY CHILDREN AND MY GRANDCHILDREN. LORD MAY YOUR LOVE AND PEACE BE APON ISRAEL PEOPLE AND THERE CHILDREN.

  40. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways

Fearing the Lord is something that confused me when I was younger. I didn’t realize that the fear it is talking about is reverance and not terror. Once I realized the difference it was like a light came on. I fear God through listening, following his commands, my actions and my attitudes. It’s more than a word. It’s a lifestyle.

  41. 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee

We are a blessed people. A chosen generation. One that is blessed and appointed by God.
