Proverbs 6

My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger,

Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.

Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.

Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids.

Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,

Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.

How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?

10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

12 A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.

13 He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;

14 Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.

15 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.

16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

20 My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.

22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

24 To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.

25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

26 For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adultress will hunt for the precious life.

27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?

28 Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?

29 So he that goeth in to his neighbour’s wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.

30 Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;

31 But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.

32 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

33 A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.

34 For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.

35 He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.

  1. Verses 20-23 CEV “Obey the teaching of your parents—always keep it in mind and never forget it. Their teaching will guide you when you walk, protect you when you sleep, and talk to you when you are awake. The Law of the Lord is a lamp, and its teachings shine brightly. Correction and self-control will lead you through life.” Obey as Ephesians 6:1-3 says “Children, obey your parents in the Lord [that is, accept their guidance and discipline as His representatives], for this is right [for obedience teaches wisdom and self-discipline]. Honor [esteem, value as precious] your father and your mother [and be respectful to them]—this is the first commandment with a promise—so that it may be well with you, and that you may have a long life on the earth.”

  2. GO BE WISE

6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

Life is filled with opportunities and resources. GOD in HIS wisdom has given us the privilege and opportunity to be stewards or mangers over HIS Kingdom.

Seeing that everything belongs to GOD it is only natural to ask or inquire of HIM of how to manage or distribute HIS property. Great advise is given here.

Dont LOAN, BORROW or COSIGN with others.
1-5 Dear friend, if you’ve gone into hock with your neighbor
or locked yourself into a deal with a stranger,
If you’ve impulsively promised the shirt off your back
and now find yourself shivering out in the cold,
Friend, don’t waste a minute, get yourself out of that mess.

    Dont BE Lazy
6-11 You lazy fool, look at an ant.
Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two.
Nobody has to tell it what to do.
    All summer it stores up food;
    at harvest it stockpiles provisions.
So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing?
How long before you get out of bed?

    Dont BE a Busy Body
    12-15 Riffraff and rascals
talk out of both sides of their mouths.
They wink at each other, they shuffle their feet,
they cross their fingers behind their backs.

    Seven Things GOD Hates
16-19 Here are six things God hates,
and one more that he loathes with a passion:
    eyes that are arrogant,
    a tongue that lies,
    hands that murder the innocent,
a heart that hatches evil plots,
feet that race down a wicked track,
a mouth that lies under oath,
    a troublemaker in the family.

GO BE WISE today. Repent and Rejoice

  3. 13 He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;
Keep your eyes open for the one that tries to decieve everybody. They’re out there, in the world, in the church….everywhere.
I bless you all in the name of the Lord Jesus

  4. 16 Take note, there are six things the Eternal hates; no, make it seven He abhors:

17 Eyes that look down on others, a tongue that can’t be trusted, hands that shed innocent blood,

18 A heart that conceives evil plans, feet that sprint toward evil,

19 A false witness who breathes out lies, and anyone who stirs up trouble among the faithful. Voice

While there can be forgiveness for the one who did something on this list, there could already be damage to you or others (i.e. reputation, etc.) that lasts much longer.

  5. 20 My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

We are a continuous testimony to those around us; both to those that we interact with and those who we see but never converse. We can only be a light unto this world if the oil is burning bright for a beacon of hope to those in need. Whatever things we put in front of us, we will ponder them. They will shape our minds, guide our thoughts, direct our actions, order our steps and become the testimony all will see.

  6. Spend your time tending to your own business and this is a positive testimony to others. Yes you must take time to sew seed and help others but do it with a clear conscience and giving in your heart. God will richly bless you for it.

  7. 6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

  8. 3 Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.

What grabbed me this morning was some peoples lack of knowledge about how their actions affect others. Due to this lack of knowledge the offended fells they deserve an apology while the offender doesn’t even know their actions created an issue. Sometimes the offended will continue to relive the scenario and feel the hurt over and over again, deepening the pain which leads to resentment which leads to anger and hate. All the while the offender has no idea anything is wrong.

    Who is to blame?

Do we blame the offended for continuing to wallow in self-pity and play the victim or do we blame the offender for not being more aware of how their actions affect others?

  9. 16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
20 My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.

Verse 20 identifies a principle we must learn to apply to our lives in the kingdom and in our homes.

    1. The father gives the commandment(mitsvah- law or ordinance) mom gives the law (towrah-law, direction, instruction, direction)

This seems confusing but think about it God (the father) gave the law and left the Bible for the church(mother) to instruct and give direction to sinners and believers. Or consider the 10 commandments and the law of Moses. The law of God was to point out sin and the law of Moses was added because of sin. In the home the father sets the order or law of the home and the mother sets forth instruction and boundaries that the children never reach outside the commands that have been set. Both have a very important responsibility and when one is lacking we will see devistating results. Just look at our world today where most homes are missing a father or father figure and children are growing up with a lack of respect for authority and are filled with rebellion and hate towards authority.

  10. Proverbs 6
23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

Thus chapter covers just about everything life brings to us.
    From lust,jealousy to
Don’t be lazy. Watch the ant.
    Seven things God Hates.
From busy bodies to lying tongues.

How much the more to receive instructions to guard our hearts, minds, life with His commandments. They are light to our path we are walking. Instructions will keep us from a wrong turn. It will keep us from destruction.
You ever try to put something together without the instructions, bake a cake without a recipe? Usually you end up with a mess. A flat cake ,a piece left out. So as we follow the instructions of God we can have an assurance we can will have life filled with His peace His joy his strength!

Too many people fail only because they get tired of following instructions Help Me Lord not to quit staying in your commandments!

    His Strength is Perfect

  11. 27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?

28 Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?

If you play with fire. .. you will be burned. It’s just a matter of time before a sin or something your playing with gets a hold of you and destroys you. We must be careful about what we allow ourselves to engage in and make sure to examine ourselves to see if what we are doing is pleasing to God.

  12. 9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?

10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

So as I was reading the passage this is what slapped me in the face! How many opportunities do I miss to be fed the word of God because of I want to sleep or im tired or I just plain didn’t want to, and being stirred to wake up and pray, when ever I read this in the past I looked at it from a natural point of view and not spiritual! Lazy is lazy, if I dont get out of my bed and pray and read, and study, im going to starve, what Pastor said in leadership about does the spiritual know my voice? Does the adversary know my voice? Does Jesus know me intimately or just from creating me? WAKE UP SLUGGARD! GET OUT OF YOUR BED AND GET IT TOGETHER! ITS TIME TO FIGHT!

  13. “There are six things the Lord hates— no, seven things he detests: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭6:16-19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  14. 22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

    All it takes is obedience.

  15. 16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

God hates these things but to often we end up doing one of these things. How does it make God feel? We definitely betray him each time we commit these things. God help me lord to remember that each time I do these things Im sending you back to the cross to be crucified even though Im not ssying it with my lips my action is speaking louder than my words.

    Psalm 19:14King James Version (KJV)
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

  16. iLove to Go Blog
Proverbs 6:1-4 NLT My child, if you have put up security for a friend’s debt or agreed to guarantee the debt of a stranger— (2) if you have trapped yourself by your agreement and are caught by what you said— (3) follow my advice and save yourself, for you have placed yourself at your friend’s mercy. Now swallow your pride; go and beg to have your name erased. (4) Don’t put it off; do it now! Don’t rest until you do.

Wow, don’t ever co-sign for anyone or attach your name to another person’s debt. The Word of God is very clear and the consequences are very real. This also lets me know it is ok to change your mind if you ever fall into the trap of co-signing for someone. And don’t think it is ok to co-sign for family…they are the first ones who will allow your name to go down into the creditor’s books… LISTEN TO WISDOM!

  17. AMP version
    12 A worthless person, a wicked man,
Is one who walks with a perverse (corrupt, vulgar) mouth.
13 Who winks with his eyes [in mockery], who shuffles his feet [to signal],
    Who points with his fingers [to give subversive instruction];
14 Who perversely in his heart plots trouble and evil continually; Who spreads discord and strife.
    15 Therefore [the crushing weight of] his disaster will come suddenly upon him;
Instantly he will be broken, and there will be no healing or remedy [because he has no heart for God].

  18. 16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

20 My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

Remember next time before you say “it’s just little white lie” that God mentions lying twice in the seven things that are an abomination to Him!

he that sowth discord among brethren.. The most common way to sow discord is to open your mouth and speak negatively to/about a person instead of encouraging them! But you also sow discord when you choose to listen to all of that negativity. Even if what is being said it true, you most likely don’t have proof or the whole story so if you’re concerned take it to Jesus instead of everyone you can find to listen to you! Lord help me to keep myself from being a listening ear or a running mouth to the things that are not of you!

I know we like to think that we are perfect in keeping His commandments but the truth is we all sin and fall short of the glory of God, and that is when His mercy steps in! We just must be carelful that we’re not using His mercy as a license to sin but as an opportunity to try harder to uphold His commandments this time!

  19. 23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

My path of life is lit up with lights surrounding it. I am under submission, and my authority is only teaching me the right way to life. Following Jesus only makes your life better in all aspects. He is a healer, way maker, chain breaker, etc. My life is secure with Jesus! Thank you Jesus!

  20. My son, obey your father’s commands, and don’t neglect your mother’s instruction. Keep their words always in your heart. Tie them around your neck. When you walk, their counsel will lead you. When you sleep, they will protect you. When you wake up, they will advise you. For their command is a lamp and their instruction a light; their corrective discipline is the way to life.
    Proverbs 6:20‭-‬23 NLT
Follow your parents for 1 the Bible said so and 2 for they know what’s right and will keep you out of trouble

  21. “A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭6:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The influence of perspective, and the power of gossip will destroy you.

  22. Proverbs 6:23 (AMP)
    23) For the command is a lamp; and the teaching (of the law) is light, and reproof (rebukes) for discipline are the way of life.

Ps. 119:105, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
2 Tim. 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

The Word of God will teach us, convict us, correct us, and instruct us. It is a light that shines on our pathway to right living.

  23. 29 So he that goeth in to his neighbour’s wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.

    30 Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;

  24. “My son, obey your father’s commands, and don’t neglect your mother’s instruction. Keep their words always in your heart. Tie them around your neck.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭6:20-21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God is telling us to never lose sight of His laws. Our parents teach us the correct way to live. We should never grow too old to live up to the teachings of our parents.

  25. iWork

    6Go to the ant, O sluggard;
consider her ways, and be wise.
    7Without having any chief,
    officer, or ruler,
8she prepares her bread in summer
and gathers her food in harvest.

It’s interesting how God recognizes the smallest, least credited things for their work. Faith as small as a mustard seed can send a mountain crashing down (Mat 17:20). He used parables to paint a picture for even the least educated to understand. The ant is small insect but knows team work and the value of working. If we don’t work, pray, or give we will not reap a godly harvest. Without having to be told what to do the little ant works and gathers. Ruth had nothing but a mother-in-law and hope for the future, she was no stranger to hard work. She went to work in the field of her kinsman redeemer Boaz. It was her passion to work and humbleness that attracted him to her. If sa woman can’t faithfully work or help she can never be a help meet in life. A sluggard expects everything to be handed to them with a poverty, welfare mentality. Wisdom comes from applying this knowledge. A man who doesn’t work doesn’t eat 2 Th 3:10. We have to run the race because no one can run it for us, only those who endure til the end shall see eternity with God our true reward.

  26. My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck. When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee. For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
    Proverbs 6:20‭-‬23 KJV
    http://bible.com/1/pro.6.20-23.KJV

As I read this chapter it hit me; what am I doing to keep God in my house? I use work a lot as an excuse to sleep in. God knows my heart and He knows how to tell you what you’re doing wrong. Also how to commend you for what you’re doing right. It has taken me a long time to get to the point where I trust God and to live in and by His word. There are areas that still lack, but I have made vast improvements over the last year. Now it’s time to step up or in cowboy terms man up. I have to believe that God in me and trust Him with everything I have. I thank you Jesus.

Phil. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

GO AND BE IN GOD’S WILL. GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE.

    Proverbs 6:20‭-‬23 NLT
    http://bible.com/116/pro.6.20-23.NLT

  28. 9But you, lazybones, how long will you sleep? When will you wake up? 10A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—

The lazybones, the ones who rather watch others work. Some may physically be unable to work for a living, those I understand their circumstances. But when you see others at the street corners begging for money and they are young, that’s the life style they have chosen. They have the poverty mentality. God commanded man to work for a living to provide for our family. Thank you God for the job I have, and the willingness I have to get up each morning to go to work!

  29. 6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?

    Self Motivation

You have to be self motivated. The ant has no one that tells it what to do, and yet builds great cities underground. Next time you see an ant. Instead of taking your shoe to it, watch it. Although it looks as though it doesn’t do much. It can lift up to 10X its own body weight. Yet it is self motivated. It knows what its job is. It know what its responsibilities are.
As a child of God do you know what your job is, and how to do it? Be busy about the Lord’s work and making his kingdom greater.
#GODOSOMETHING by Going and Doing Something for God

  30. 6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,

8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.

9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?

10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

12 A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.

    13 He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;

  31. 12 A troublemaker and a villain,
who goes about with a corrupt mouth, NIV

We need to watch the way we speak, there are kids all around us and if we speak the words of God that’s what they will learn and what they will speak, and that’s what they need to learn and speak!

  32. 1 My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger,

2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.

3 Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.

Financial dealings with friends is the quickest way to make an enemy. We are given clear instruction, if you have been a co-signer (surety, insurer) for a friend, go make sure after it’s all said and done, that you are still friends. If not, humble yourself and make things right. How said it would be to be lost over money. Thus the reason we are told that money is the “root” of all evil. Too many hurt feels are develop over money dealings. Check your heart make sure it’s right, make sure your friends heart is right so that money does not cause you to lose your relationship with the Lord.

  33. Josiah:6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
“7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,” Yes, there is the queen ant that lays eggs and helps guard the nest. However the queen ant does not go around and tell each ant what to do. When ants are born they just do their job. Ants do not have a soul, or guide and yet they do not slack off. They GO DO what they have to do. So, how much more should we work. We have a ruler, God is on our side, and we have spiritual guides and overseers I’m our life, at least you should. So, let us GO WORK FAITHFULLY in the kingdom of God for we have an eternity in heaven to hold on to!

  34. 2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.

THIS RIGHT HERE IS TRUE!!! As soon as I have criticized something or someone, the same thing happens to myself or to my children!!! BEWARE OF WHAT PROCEEDS OUT OF OUR MOUTHS!!!

  35. 23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
24 To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.

Bishop preached last night about being submissive and obeying the law and it being connected to trust. If we don’t trust it’s harder to obey. The laws and direction God gives us is for the very reason of our safety. To guide us from evil. That’s where trust comes in…when God is directing us away from something through our pastor.

  36. 20 My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.

It’s is our responsibility to teach and pass on the the commandments of the Lord and make sure that the next generation gets IT!!!!!!

  37. We must watch what we do and say. Once you utter negative words from your mouth, the damage has already been done. If we keep our mind in Jesus, when negative thoughts come to us, we can ignore them and move on.

  38. Hannah: “20 My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: 21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck. 22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.” Always obey the word of the Lord. In your times of trouble and in your times of joy his word will lead you and guide towards what is right. His word is the truth and every time you read the Bible there is always something new to learn. Never doubt the word of the Lord because it comes from the Lord himself and everything he says is the truth. He cannot lie and if you trust in him you he will sustain you. Trust in the Lord!

  39. I’ve oft quoted this verse as an example when just a little rest is spoken of as a desire: ‘Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come…’ It may sometimes be said in fun but consider the verses that lead up to it. ‘Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.’ Interesting when placed in context: he spoke of the ant as an example of working even when specific direction is not given to do so. How many times do you see someone on the job take advantage of a boss’ lack of direction or even just their absence to take a rest. No one is there to tell them what to do, so it’s time for a break and some rest as they enjoy the interlude. Anyone passing by can tell they’re not working, they could tell you they’re not working, and yet they take their rest as the work goes undone until someone comes along and tells them what to do.

It’s easy to laugh at the example as you remember the times you’ve seen it yourself, but now consider the spiritual application. Does it take specific direction and guidance from the pastor before we decide to do something in the kingdom of God? Do we always have to be told before we place our hands upon the plow to labor? If the physical example rings true, should we be standing around waiting for someone to tell us something to do, or can we take the initiative to see what needs to be done and act upon it! Yes, we may still need to ask before running off in our own direction, everything needs to be done in order together, but imagine the impact of having us line up to ask where we can help instead of standing around waiting and wondering where all the help is. Just a thought to consider the next time you see something that needs doing in the kingdom… instead of standing around talking about it, consider that if God’s brought it to your attention, perhaps he intended you to do something about it. Something more than talking that is… we’ve already chuckled at that example.

  40. 6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,

8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.

9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?

10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

  41. Proverbios 6:23 En verdad, los mandamientos y las enseñanzas
    son una lámpara encendida;
    las correcciones y los consejos
son el camino de la vida.

  42. 24 “To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.”

25 “Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.”

  43. For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:(Proverbs 6:23 KJV)

The Lord is our lamp he enlightens our minds and are realationship with him from the darkness in our lives. God himself also clearly discovers the mistakes we’ve done in our lives and he seems to always have a right way and always makes away when there doesn’t seem to be a way. The Holy Spirit is what speaks to us and helps us to be wise and helpful to others around us.

  44. 23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

Where is the path that you are taking and how are you getting there? It is by God’s word and commandments that we can keep ourselves in a right path. And when we seem to be a bit off it is correction and instruction that leads us back in the right way.

  45. 16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

How many of these things can we be counted guilty of? Almost all that backslide are guilty of one or more of these. If we understood what God thinks of those that practice these things.

All of these things deal with matters of the heart. Because where your treasure is, there will your heart be also! Our treasure is in the wrong place.

  46. 20 My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.

I wasn’t raised with Pentecostal parents but they were God fearing parents. They always taught me to respect and honor God. Even though I wasn’t raised Pentecostal, I thank God for the parents that He gave me. Even though my mom still Catholic, i know one day she will be baptized with the HG and water. I pray that my children will learn and always cherish what they have. I pray that my children will always burn with fire of the HG. That they can always listen to my councils so they can keep on the straight path. Guard them Jesus Everywhere They Go!!!

  47. 6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.

This verse reminds me of Pastor’s preaching that to be a leader you must first lead yourself, just like the ant. That has no guide, overseer or ruler. When I consider the way of the ant, it never stops working, always searching, and finding and leaving markers for those behind them. They also work as a unit, one ant doesn’t bring the find back whatever it is. Instead however many is needed goes and works to bring it back. They are also submitted one to another, Because the queen ant doesn’t try to take the worker ant’s job and neither does the worker ant try to take the queen ant’s job. They all just work in the roles appointed to them by God and do it with all their might. There are a lot of lessons to be learned from the ant and I wish to apply them all continuely

  48. 20-23 Good friend, follow your father’s good advice; don’t wander off from your mother’s teachings. Wrap yourself in them from head to foot; wear them like a scarf around your neck. Wherever you walk, they’ll guide you; whenever you rest, they’ll guard you; when you wake up, they’ll tell you what’s next. For sound advice is a beacon, good teaching is a light, moral discipline is a life path.

God let me learn from my elders! Let their wisdom and knowledge light the path clearly for you! God I cover and surround myself in your glory of your people! Thank you Lord for people in my life to give discipline so I may focus on you and you alone!

  49. Proverbs 6:12(English Amp) A worthless person, A wicked man is he who goes about with a perverse (contrary, wayward) mouth. This person doesn’t have God’s heart. You got to make a change in your live. And God is the only one that can do this for you. I pray that this person will get baptize in Jesus name.

  50. Sleep is great, but we must be cautious of giving into laziness and sleeping instead of working. If laziness sets in poverty may soon bar us from our rest.

  51. 16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

  52. 20. My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: 21. Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck. 22. When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee. 23. For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life: OBEY !!!!
