Proverbs 13

A wise son heareth his father’s instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.

A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.

He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

A righteous man hateth lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and cometh to shame.

Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.

There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.

The ransom of a man’s life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.

The light of the righteous rejoiceth: but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.

10 Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.

11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.

12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

13 Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

14 The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

15 Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.

16 Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly.

17 A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.

18 Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.

19 The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil.

20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

21 Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.

22 A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

23 Much food is in the tillage of the poor: but there is that is destroyed for want of judgment.

24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

25 The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.

  1. Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction. But he who regards a rebuke will be honored. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

  2. Verse 24 CEV “If you love your children, you will correct them; if you don’t love them, you won’t correct them.” This is something I always share with my children…. my little Sovereign Soldiers…..whenever they try to act up in class. Our correction and words do matter and the way or time we give them that attention does too. Proverbs 22:6 NIV “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” 2 Timothy 3:15 NIV “and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”

  3. There is so much wisdom to be had in God’s Word! That wisdom is what will keep us along the way, which is why ‘Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded. The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.’ So many in the world despise the words of the Bible they have never read. Those same people will then complain about the increasing problems in the world around them and wonder what is wrong. They tread the broad path leading to destruction and call it freedom. They are snared by the enemy in the midst of the sin.

The law of God’s Word however leads to that fountain of life. It gives meaning to life even in the midst of all the problems around us. As this proverb clearly declares: ‘Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.’ We have the favor of God that makes life so much easier! Those in the world say or way is hard because they lack understanding of what God provides. We truly see it is the way of sin that is hard: both in this life and life to come. O let his word remain in my heart that I would not sin against God. Let me give thanks for the bread of his word and allow my soul to partake of it every day!

  4. 2 The good acquire a taste for helpful conversation; bullies push and shove their way through life.

3 Careful words make for a careful life; careless talk may ruin everything.

5 A good person hates false talk; a bad person wallows in gibberish.

10 Arrogant know-it-alls stir up discord, but wise men and women listen to each other’s counsel.

17 Irresponsible talk makes a real mess of things, but a reliable reporter is a healing presence. MSG

Much of this chapter is about what you say and how you say it – don’t think that it doesn’t matter. Like trying to put toothpaste back in the tube, once words are spoken, they won’t come back and the damage is already done.

  5. 3 He Who guards his lips gourds his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin.

10 Pride breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.

20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

  6. 20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

It’s like the saying that says, “Show me your friends and I’ll show you what kind of a person you are.” It’s important we surround ourselves with wise, righteous and like-faith individuals; people who are obedient and submitted. What are your “friends” encouraging you towards? Better yet, how are you influencing others?

  7. Proverbios 13:20-21 El que anda con sabios, sabio será;
Mas el que se junta con necios será quebrantado.
El mal perseguirá a los pecadores,
Mas los justos serán premiados con el bien.

  8. If you ignore criticism, you will end in poverty and disgrace;
If you accept corrections, you will be honored.
    Proverbs 13:18 NLT

Constructed criticism will always make an individual better. The challenge is to be humble to receive correction and apply the correction that is given.

  9. Some who are poor pretend to be rich; others who are rich pretend to be poor.
    Proverbs 13:7 NLT

My Granny use to say “Champagne taste on a bread and water budget”. I’ve been very guilty of trying to live outside my means. Thankfully I have a Good and a husband that keeps me and our finances in line. You must be a good steward of any blessing the LORD gives you. Several of my friends who are older live by a bread and water budget, but never have money troubles. They are great stewards and have saved quite a secure retirement for themselves.

  10. 24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
25 The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.

When i have to discipline my children, I have tried to make it a point to let them know it is because I love them that I am doing what I am doing. I read that when u have to correct your children, u let them know why they are being disciplined and have them apologize when u are done after they repeat why they were in trouble. Then when they get older they can transfer those experiences to when God disciplines them and they can better understand repentance

  11. iLove to Go Blog
1 A wise son heareth his father’s instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.
WOW… I read this and Boom, it struck me…Wow, let’s break it down.

As pastor would say, “Who’s Your Daddy?” A wise “son” hears his father’s instruction, but a scorner heareth not rebuke. We’re either sons or scorners.

    What is a scorner? H3887
    לוּץ
    lûts
    loots
A primitive root; properly to make mouths at, that is, to scoff; hence (from the effort to pronounce a foreign language): – ambassador, have in derision, interpreter, make a mock, mocker, scorn (-er, -ful).

A mocker is not counted as a son…Do we mock, backbite, mummer, complain when pastor asks us to do something we don’t want to do? If we do, we are not counted as sons in the gospel. Wow

  12. 22 A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

If we get paid once every two weeks, should we give it all to the church the day we get it and trust God to meet our financial needs the other thirteen days? Or would keeping some of it in the bank for thirteen days—because we know a bill is coming in twelve days—be distrusting God for his provision twelve days from now? Does that sound silly? It’s not silly: it’s just an analogy. God ordains that we work for our living and that we use what we earn to pay our bills, whether it’s food, clothing, housing, education for our kids, or whatever.

Those bills don’t arrive simultaneously with our paycheck, which means that we must save our money to pay our bills and meet our financial obligations. Most people do or at least should. Some just do it more consciously than others. Should we save for another car or trust God to give us a car when we need one? What about when we get to retirement age, should we expect the government to meet all our needs or take measures while we are able to plan for ourselves? I do not discredit the ability to God to supply our needs but also believe we have the ability and knowledge to take of things ourselves.

  13. 19 The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil.

20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

This shows why we need people to go back to their senses before they can go back to God. Because leaving evil things behind seems wrong to those who are foolish. We need them to get back to their senses before they can turn back to God and then once they do, they need to be around other wise people instead of going back with the same foolish people they used to be around that will only drag them away from God once more.

  14. 20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed..
Gold rubs off on Gold, when you’re around certain people every single day you tend to start acting like them, thinking like them, etc.
I had a good friend once who began to hang around bad influences and I told my friend, “if you hang out with that, you’re gonna turn into that.” Sure enough the life they’re living today is the exact life we said we wouldn’t live when we were younger. We have to be careful with who we surround ourselves by. The same effect goes for people that don’t work. If you’re around someone that never wants to work you’re gonna deceive yourself into thinking you don’t have to work.

iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ

  15. “A wise child accepts a parent’s discipline; a mocker refuses to listen to correction. Wise words will win you a good meal, but treacherous people have an appetite for violence. Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything. Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper. The godly hate lies; the wicked cause shame and disgrace.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭13:1-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  16. He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.
    Proverbs 13:24‭-‬25 KJV
    http://bible.com/1/pro.13.24-25.KJV

The “sons” of this world walk around like they own it. Why, because they have no instruction. People have allowed the world to influence how they raise their children. Instead they need to turn to the word if God for the instruction. God knows when and how a child should be disciplined. Even as an adult: I have been rebuked and instructed in ways I have done things. God knows and lets us know when we have erred. I have felt as big as an ant sometimes, but once it was all over I knew that I would be better then I was before. As far as being hungry and not getting satisfied: well a lot of that was me trying to do it on my own; instead I need to have the instruction from leaders. The more instruction; the fatter I become. God will starve the fool, but He will feed the righteous. Father I ask you today to continue to be the chief cornerstone in my life and guide me to a relationship with you.

Phil. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

  17. 14 The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

15 Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.

The Word is our life! If we read it study it, and apply it, it makes us not get so caught up in the things that the world throws at us or we throw at each other, being around other Christians day in and out doesn’t exempt us from the world because not everyone who proclaims they are Christians are living that life, you still deal with gossip, and unbeleife, discouragement, and even negativity, but if we are prayed up and were always with the Word in our face and studying, we can really have the knowledge how to avoid these situations, if were still dealing with transgressions in our life it will be hard to resist the urge to partake in what is going on, but if we have a clear understanding of what is going on, and how to avoid it we will be good! God is good!
    1 Corinthians 10:13
There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.

  18. Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life. People who despise advice are asking for trouble; those who respect a command will succeed.
    Proverbs 13:12‭-‬13 NLT

The way this verse speak to me is a Wise person will follow his pastor and leader and will respect his command .
Doing these things will lead to success but not honoring those who are over you would lead to destroy if want be wise you got have want to be teach a foolish person reject teaching but a Wise person receives teachers my thing if you too busy do your thing then you are not really receive teaching
But if open I not going to worry about what I may think I might not even agree with everything or understand but God teach me so I can be closer to you
This just came to me something God has already send you a teacher but you have rejected them and they’re teaching and went your own way

  19. saying i need help or asking for a hand is hard task for some do to pride. This is difficult cause it requires humility . therefore if your always fighting or arguing and im talking to my self right now , search your heart for pride. be open to others and wisdom from others and be willing to make up for your faults and mistakes.

See god created us , he knows exact count of every hair on your head , He put breathe into your very body why would you not want to listen to the word of god.
if you despise his word you clearly will be lost and be as dead as a ford , found on road dead , But with Gods word and instruction you will be rewarded.

20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

see be careful who you let into your life and who you walk with cause most times your “best friend” is so much like you that when you go to them its hard to steer to wise council in a situation cause you think such a like.
seek a friend that is wise and is not going to drive you in the wrong direction but is willing to tell you whats up.
    Choose your companions wisely.

  20. 4 The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

The soul of the righteous shall be made fat by the word and his annointing, fat is annointing so with the fat we destroy the yoke. Jesus you are the king of kings lord of lords. I pray against every spirit that comes against the church and your word. If we eat the word daily, we will never run dry or starve. If we never starve we are constantly fat, anointed. The word is amazing! Thank you Jesus

  21. Proverbs 13
12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

    God is so good.
This is a scripture my husband used for a message.
God has reminded me once again through His word He knows exactly where I am.

You see when your faith has soared so high and your hope has been detoured it can make the soul sick. It can make you question and wonder. Oh but if we continually trust in His promises and continue to place our trust in Him and not man then we will find life. I will delight in Him who is my Strength He us my hope
Thete is Life in Him. Don’t set your affections ,desires on this world. God does know and does hear. Delight in His service and your desires will be fulfilled.
Don’t allow the waiting for what you have hoped for keep you standing still work I’m His service give with all your heart. He is right there. If you jeep your hope in Him then your heart is safe.

The Joy of the Lord is my Strength

  22. THE ROOT OF EVERY CONFLICT

10 Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.

Understanding the battle of Kingdoms is key in understanding the message of these verses. The Kingdom of GOD is PEACE and The Kingdom of this world is CONFLICT.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Pride is the root or origin of every sin and pride is the source of contention. When contentions arise, we must take a step back and evaluate ourselves. Humility is the key to overcoming pride. I wonder how many conflicts we could avoid with humility.

Titus 3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

Promotion in the Kingdom of GOD is not through entitlement/pride but through serving/humility.

James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Choose to SUBMIT rather than resist. Choose PEACE rather than contention. Choose HUMILITY rather than pride. Choose LIFE in JESUS rather than death in sin.

  23. Wise will rise fools will fall. Don’t pretend to be rich if you are poor. Don’t pretend to be poor if you are rich. When my Grandma was alive and she visit texas she will say don’t pretend to be someone else and don’t you dare try to hide your sins . this saying was passed down to my mom . she said don’t try to hide your sins they will find you. Now I’m passing it down . Don’t try to hide your sins . don’t think you are getting away with it. God is actually giving you a chance to repent and come to your senses and give you warnings

  24. 2 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.

3 He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

It all starts in our mind. We must form what we say in our minds before we speak. We are responsible for what we allow to take form in our minds, thus coming out our mouth. If we will bring our mind under subjection to the Spirit of God, we will also be bringing what comes out of our mouth.

The power of life and death is in the tongue. What we speak must be positive because we are going to “eat” those words at some point in our lives.

  25. 20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Our friends and who we associate ourselves with does affect us, more than we know! You need to be careful who you choose to be close to because you and your friends will grow to resemble each other. Spend time with people you want to be like, or better yet spend time with people who want to be like Jesus! And just as your friends can influence you, you can influence your friends so make sure you are being a godly influence!

  26. 24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

Parents that teach children to obey them, will usually produce children to have respect for the teachers at school, at Sunday school and other authority figures. This will lead them to respect and obey God’s word and the Pastor in their lives. It starts at home and discipline must be given in love

  27. 15 Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.

When we properly understand who we are and what God wants us to be there is favor that we get to experience as children of God. However when we transgress we are asking for heartache and trouble to be in our lives that will destroy us if we let it.

  28. I Love To Worship The Lord
The chapter contains proverbs on many different topics one of the recurrent themes is the contrasts of the righteous and the wicked. The righteous are assured of blessing and Gods protection while the wicked though they may flourish briefly are destined for death and destruction

  29. Josiah: 20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
Our walk with Good can be so much harder or, so much easier depending on who we surround ourselves with. If it is people who know God and serve Him as they should then our spiritual walk with God will be easier. If we choose our best friends or people we surround ourselves with to be of this world our spiritual walk with God will be harder. Although we are supposed to be in this world we are not supposed to be of this world. We are like lambs among wolves. We are a light in the midst of this dark world. The people, or inner circle of people that we trust in should be able help us in our spiritual life us as we return the favor. When they stumble we can stop them from falling. When we stumble they can pick us up. That is why “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise”. So, let us GO SURROUND ourselves with the WISE OVER THE FOOLS as we be a light to this world!

  30. Proverbs 13:13
Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the command shall be rewarded. (KJV)
Whoso despises the word and counsel (of God) brings destruction upon himself, but he who (reverently) fears and respects the command (of God) will be rewarded. (AMP)

This seems easy enough to understand. If you despise (detest, hate, loathe, dislike, etc…) the Word of God, you’ll be destroyed. BUT if you fear and respect the Word of God, you’ll be rewarded.

GO Obey the Word of God!

  31. 15 Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.

16 Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly.

17 A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.

  32. 4Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper.

The lazy are always looking for a free handout. What can I obtain without having to work for it. Society today, many are dependent on government for extra income, food and health care. But the hard worker, will go out and earn his income and provide for their family. The hard worker will have a sense of accomplishment that he has taken care of himself and family.

  33. 20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
Who are you walking with today? Are you being wise or foolish? Like it was said last night don’t hang with the foolish, if you see that you are being used as their trash can get away with quickness and seek some wise friends.

  34. 11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.

I had to stop and think about this for a minute. Several people I know are very vain and seem to be doing well, and several people are working but are not so wealthy… So maybe I was looking at it wrongly. As the Man of God said last night, God gives room for repentance, but look at this. Those who work so that they might have things, spend all they worked for on their things. Those who work for His Kingdom, are storing up crowns and riches untold, and most who are truly putting His Kingdom first, are increasing. They may not have money to throw away, but even if they did, they wouldn’t.
I want to be found a good and faithful servant in all areas of my life.

  35. 24. He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. Strong words but to the point. Thank you Jesus !!!! TRUTH !!

  36. 24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

Thank you Jesus for the correction that I got from my parents, and my pastor. I know that they love me and my soul because they corrected me.

  37. 10 Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.

  38. 3 He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

Its never ok to speak evil too or about one another even if it is true. You reap what you sow, so ifif you sow discord or have a ugly spirit. That is what you will reap.

  39. He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

Simply put it is better to keep ones mouth shut that spill out words like a fool. Many rush to pour out their opinion rather than listen and discern the content of what They may say. Keep control of your words. Don’t speak evil of anyone and if you have an opinion about something or some One bring to Jesus tell it to him in prayer.

  40. Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.

Take all the make up off the movie star and they aren’t so desirable anymore. No one cares what the Gardner looks like. There is a 67 year old man that work for us in the cabinet shop. He is one of the most pleasant people you have ever met. He is blessed. He has never had much but what he does have is mich stories of his family and the great times they have had together. His life has been a great success because he has found his richness is Jesus and his family. I work for some very wealthy people that are searching for their happiness in possessions. They reach for more and more worldly possessions and find themselves wanting. Rick has nothing to do with money.

  41. 12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

Unfulfilled longings are familiar to everyone. Sometimes when we wait for our deepest hopes to he realized we can become heart sick, despondent, and even desperate. Rachels longing to have children not only caused her to feel like she would die from the pain of waiting, but also lead her to take matters into her own hands in order to get what she wanted (Gen 30:1-5). In a woman’s quest to find relief from disappointment she can be tempted to manipulate and demand that hee desires be satisfied according to her timetable. Or she can suppress her desires and settle for much less than God has planned. Either way, she loses. How much better off would we be when we trusts in God to fulfill our dreams, when we wait on him instead of manipulating or giving up. Only he sees the whole picture, and only he has the power to fulfill our heart’s desires (Gen 30:22-23).

  42. Proverbs 13:13 Whoso despise the the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

Isaiah 5:24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff,so their roots shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
II Chronicles 36:16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy.

Best to obey and summit to your Pastor

  43. Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.(Proverbs 13:13 KJV)

The Word of God is really important to us as Christians, one of the reasons is that It is a weapon to be used to advance the Kingdom of God, and to fight off temptation and cast down everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.

  44. 6 Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.

7 There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.

8 The ransom of a man’s life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.

  45. 1 A wise son heareth his father’s instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.

2 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.

    Proverbs 9:7
He who corrects a scoffer gets dishonor for himself, And he who reproves a wicked man gets insults for himself.

    Proverbs 9:8
Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you, Reprove a wise man and he will love you.

    Proverbs 10:1
The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish son is a grief to his mother.

    Proverbs 15:12
A scoffer does not love one who reproves him, He will not go to the wise.

    Proverbs 15:20
A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish man despises his mother.

A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.

Proverbs 4:25 Let your eyes look right on, and let your eyelids look straight before you.
Proverbs 6:19 A false witness that speaks lies, and he that sows discord among brothers.
Proverbs 12:17 He that speaks truth shows forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
Proverbs 13:5 A righteous man hates lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and comes to shame.
Proverbs 19:5,9 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaks lies …

We must be careful that our lives align with the plan and will of God for our lives.

  46. v 20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise; but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

We tend to become like the people we admire and associate with and eventually participate in their activities.
The apostle Paul taught, wrong friends have a corrupting influence 1 Corinthians 15:33
That’s the importance of choosing right friends
Wise people will impart wisdom, and fools bring destruction.

  47. The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.

Amen!!! The righteous look for the things of God!!! And those that just want to do what they want are filled with wickedness! Wow! The Word of God is so powerful!!! Jesus help me to hunger and thirst for you because I know that I won’t gain riches in heaven if I do what I want!!! Teach me Jesus to follow your path and always do your will even if I don’t want to! Help me daily Lord in Jesus Name!!!

  48. 2 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.

It’s a horrible thing to never have peace.

  49. 1 A wise son heareth his father’s instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.

A lot of times in life you wonder why someone doesn’t rebuke someone else who is doing something unwise and give them instruction so that they can change. However these verse shows that wether or not they had advice they would not listen as they were scorners. Showing me how wise people in my life where when I heard them withhold a rebuke. May I learn too.

  50. Proverbs 13:13 (English Amp) Whoseever despises the word and counsel [ of God] brings destruction upon himself, but he who [ reverently] fears and respects the commandments [ the commandment of God] is rewarded. We must have God teaching and God correction to fight any battle in this world. If you dont have God in your life you will be destroy. Go repent , Be baptized in Jesus name and live . Go obey the God’s Word. We must be saved.Pray , reap, sow, give, and work . For God’s kingdom. Hallelujah be blessed.

  51. 24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

It was funny to read a paper that my wife wrote as a assignment in her child development class. So was told to take a side on the issues of spanking children for discipline.

I understand so what why she would take the side agains the issue. She was raised as a single child, and was never spanked. Unfortunately, not all children are as good as she was growing up. Especially my kids!

As soon as my son started walking, life had a way of teaching my wife the need to physical discipline. Now that my children are older, it has become the most effective form of discipline we administer today.
