Song of Solomon 6

Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee.

My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.

I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

Thou art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as an army with banners.

Turn away thine eyes from me, for they have overcome me: thy hair is as a flock of goats that appear from Gilead.

Thy teeth are as a flock of sheep which go up from the washing, whereof every one beareth twins, and there is not one barren among them.

As a piece of a pomegranate are thy temples within thy locks.

There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, and virgins without number.

My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.

10 Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?

11 I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine flourished and the pomegranates budded.

12 Or ever I was aware, my soul made me like the chariots of Amminadib.

13 Return, return, O Shulamite; return, return, that we may look upon thee. What will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of two armies.

  1. 2. My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.

He didn’t receive the lilies that chose Him, or lilies that someone else chose and sent Him; He went Himself to where the lilies were and chose the ones He wanted.

Why did He choose us? That’s something we may never know, we just have to trust His wisdom and do the work He chose us for.

    John 15:16
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

    • Amen I didn’t even think up the scripture that way God Chosen One God choose me to do his work what awesome God we serve there is no comparison

  2. Verse 3 MSG “I am his, and he is mine, as he feeds his sheep among the lilies.” Same verse AMP ““I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine, He who feeds his flock among the lilies.” I am His, and He is mine…..oh how beautiful to completely give yourself unto the Lord. Lord be in the midst of it all. It reminds me of the song “Let Them See You”:

    Let them see You
    In me
    Let them hear You
    When I speak
    Let them feel You
    When I sing
    Let them see You
    Let them see You
    In me

  3. As I read through this passage, I realize all the nicknames that Solomon has for his wife. All I can come up with was babe. Solomon is on a different level. He’s in the new young love.

When we were courting, I remember how poetic my heart was, then for some reason, it faded. I need to take more advice from Solomon.

  4. 4You are beautiful, my darling, like the lovely city of Tirzah.

Compliment your spouse. Tell your wife she looks nice , that outfit looks good. Tell your husband the yard looks looks good, thank him for doing the dishes. Compliments go a long way in strengthening relationships.

9My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.
10Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?

This is a picture of the saints. Undefiled and blessed, and shining with the glory of the Lord. When folks see you, they will know you are blessed. Proverbs 31:29-31 KJV  Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.  (30)  Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.  (31)  Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Thank You Jesus for the precious blood that makes us whiter than snow!
Revelation 19:7-8 KJV  Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.  (8)  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

  6. 6:13 This chapter reunites in Love. The maiden describes a restoration of their love relationship.

v.13 MSG. Dance, dance, dear Shulammite, Angel-Princess! Dance, and we’ll feast our eyes on your grace! Everyone wants to see the Shulammite dance her victory dances of love and peace.

Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

  7. Where has your lover gone, o woman of rare beauty?
Which way did he turn so we can help you find him?
    Song of songs 6:1 NLT

  8. Song of Solomon 6:3
“I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.”

So Thankful that JESUS loves me, and I Love HIM!

  9. 1 Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee.
2 My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
3 I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

God is always working and searching for those who are ready and willing to serve. Open the eyes of our hearts God to see that even if we feel like you’re not right there with us, You are still working; let us recognize the great works You are doing around us. Help us to always remember, “I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine.” And nothing is more precious than to know I am His.

  10. 12 Or ever I was aware, my soul made me like the chariots of Amminadib.

13 Return, return, O Shulamite; return, return, that we may look upon thee. What will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of two armies.

The chariots of Amminadib were famed for their swiftness. Can you imagine your soul quicken in such a way for the Love of our Lord Jesus Christ. A love so pure and strong that can’t be destroyed by no army or battle. Cancer is not big enough, divorce is not big enough, financial problems aren’t big enough for My Belived Christ is bigger, stronger, quicker, and He has our Back!!!

  11. 1 Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee.
2 My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.

This reminds me of when Mary and Joseph where traveling back from Jerusalem and thought Jesus was with them. Just somewhere in the carven of family and friends. The difference here is that she knew exactly where Solomon had gone and what Solomon was doing when asked. I have heard a lot of messages preached on that story. Of people going through life just assuming Jesus is there. But God has already withdrawn his hand, because they are going where God does not want to go and doing what God does not want to do. The key to not having that relationship but the one here, is found in verse 3 where each is submitted to each other. My I learn submit my will to God’s will.

  12. “I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.
This verse speaks to the Love that God has for his people. The love is never changing never ending and its never failing. He feeds us and provides for our every need and because of that we are blessed.

  13. GO SEARCH FOR FRUIT

11 I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine flourished and the pomegranates budded.

We possess the ability and power to choose who and what we will follow. We also possess the ability to choose what we will invest our lives seeking after. Some people are cursed to only look for the negative flaws in life and even in the lives of others.

I see a wonderful concept of thought here in verse 11. GO see the NUTS and FRUITS. If we invest our resources in looking for the blossom we will no doubt see the FRUIT. May JESUS help us to look for opportunities to BE FRUITFUL and BLESS rather than look for opportunities to be critical or negative.

Opportunities abound to and for us to be FRUITFUL.

  14. Song of Solomon

3 I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine

Totally committed. When you are truly committed in a relationship natural and especially spiritual there are no worries. The question was asked where has your love gone ,she answered affirmative that I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine. There was no fear no concern. When you are fully committed you have no worries. The world has forgotten commitment but we the church can prove it spiritually in our relationship with God and those who are married in your relationship with your spouse. So no worries for I am my beloved’s and He is Mine.

  15. 3 I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

This a reminder to me that I will always be Gods beloved and he will always be my beloved.

  16. 3 I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

There is no greater feeling than to be loved by Him!

  17. 3 I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.
I’m glad I can wake up every morning because I’m love by God. There’s not a day that goes by I don’t spread his love and his word with another. Allow his love to be contagious spread it like a wildfire. Share with someone anything about Jesus
iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus

  18. 3 I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

I am a kings child and Jesus is my king! He supplies all my needs and he forgives my sins! He is an on time God! He never fails, and everything that happens to me as he is my king is all for a reason. He forgives me when I ask him, but that does mean I have to forgive myself. If we went to Daniel I know what he would say… he would say he was an on time God when I was in the lions din. Yes he is an in time God! When you a kings child he is your father, and he supplies all you needs!

  19. 3 I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.
4 Thou art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as an army with banners.
5 Turn away thine eyes from me, for they have overcome me: thy hair is as a flock of goats that appear from Gilead.

  20. I Love To Worship The Lord
    She
    vs 2-3
My beloved has gone down to his gardento the beds of spices to graze in the garden and to gather lilies
I am my beloveds and my beloved is mine he grazes among the lilies

  21. Song of Solomon 6:3 (English Amp) I am my beloved’s [ garden] and my beloved is mine! He feeds among the lilies [ Which grow there]. I am so thankful for God’s love . So that I can show others his love. He is the kings of Kings and the Lord of Lord’s. He takes good care of us.God love will never change, God meets all of our needs.

  22. The garden of nuts

11 I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine flourished and the pomegranates budded.

To really see the true beauty of the church you have to deal with the nuts too.

  23. 3 I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

I am God’s and He is my God! Truly God is worth every trial and circumstance that I may find myself in for His kingdom’s sake. As my soul longs for Christ, for a deeper relationship with Him, I should not allow my flesh to hold me back. Love the Lord my God with all my heart soul mind and strength! HE is worth it all, nothing that this world has to offer is worth getting involved with if it means a less meaningful relationship with God! Love the Lord and Praise Him with everything you’ve got! There’s nothing better!

  24. 3 I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

    Does God choose You?

Has God chosen you? In some religions they say that they accept God as their personal saviour. Which is all good but does God accept You? Have you done what it takes to call a child of the living God? Have you repented, have you been water baptized in Jesus name, have u9u received the holy ghost? Once you have done this then God has accepted you. But just like any relationship it’s an ongoing process. You have to keep that relationship maintained and kept up. Through prayer fasting and reading God’s word.
    Be accepted#godosomething

  25. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.

  26. 9 My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.

Special and set apart. That is what the verse speaks to me. Someone that others can see the value and beauty of. Not like all others or the rest of the world but holy and sactified is what the Lord calls us to be. Be ye holy for He, the Lord, is holy.

  27. 9 My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.

The bride of Christ is a chosen people, chosen by God for such a time as this. He has set us apart, called us by His name. He delights in us and desires for us to delight in Him.

We should be proud that He has chosen us!

  28. Josiah: 11 I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine flourished and the pomegranates budded.
“whether the vine flourished and the pomegranates budded.” This reminded me of our spiritual lives. Is the fruit we’re producing good or bad? Is it flourishing or not? Are you getting spiritually fed so that you can? People in this world will know us by our works or, by our fruit. We can not win souls to God if we ourselves are loving for God. This is why it it is so important to get spiritually fed so we can spiritually grow. So, let us GrOw get SPIRITUALLY NOURISHED!

  29. 3 I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

It’s so pleasant to meditate on the fact that I belong to God and He loves me. It doesn’t matter how wrong I’ve been in the past He still loves me.

  30.  I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.(Song of solomon 6:3 KJV)

I am so happy that we are masterpiece of his image created by him and that we are filled with his amazing Holy Spirit. He’s an on time God he never fails, He’s faithful and a Holy God and righteous is he. As the days of my life pass by my soul longs for Christ, for a deeper relationship with him.

  31. 3 I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

This is how a relationship with Jesus should be. Having mutual love for one another not only being a one sided deal. Jesus loves us no matter what, but do we love Him how He loves us or we take advantage of our Father mercy just like how we try to do in the physical with our physical parents. Thank you Jesus for loving me like no one else. No one like you Lord!!!

  32. 3 I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

Having a relationship with God means getting to know Him, being intimate with Him, and serving Him.

  33. 3 I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

Each of us are completely individual within God’s great love. He knows us individually and knows the details of our lives. What an awesome God we serve!

  34. How many marriage relationships in the world could be made better by this simple declaration of commitment if made in truth and sincerity: ‘I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine’. That kind of commitment is becoming less prevalent today to the point that it even effects secular Christianity, yet that type of dedication is what God is looking for in our marriage and in our relationship to him.

It is that very analogy that places marriages in the cross hairs of the enemy of our soul. What better fashion to belittle the depth of commitment and love that God desires with his people than to water down the very concept of commitment in our marriages. How much more difficult is it for children to truly grasp the concept of a godly home when the enemy has destroyed the sanctity of their earthly home. How much more difficult is it to understand the love of God and the church when they don’t share that natural love with their own father or mother. The serpent is the sublist beast of the field and he wants to destroy our familial relationships.

If that sounds too targeted, then ask yourself how we build a strong church family… the collection of our individual families. If the enemy can attack our homes, how much focus can we truly give to our church home. A strong church is built upon strong families that are built upon strong marriages. Don’t underestimate the value of a marriage in the eyes of God! Guard them, protect them, nourish them, cherish them, let them be the pillars of solidity upon which the church of God will stand!

  35. We are more precious to Jesus than any other thing. He desires that we feel the same way towards Him. He will not force us to love him. He will not force us to serve and obey Him. If we completely give ourselves to Him; His love, His faithfulness, His favor, His provision and protection will never fail, never, diminish and never end.

  36. 4. Thou art beautiful, O my love, as Tir’-zah, comely as Jeru’-sa-lem, terrible as an army with banners. Jesus you are beautiful beyond measure !!!!

  37. 3 I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

Are we really given to the thought of being 100% Jesus’? What about, him 100% our? He was committed unto death, for the chance to be with us, how far are we committed?
