Song of Solomon 8

O that thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! when I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, I should not be despised.

I would lead thee, and bring thee into my mother’s house, who would instruct me: I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate.

His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, until he please.

Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee.

Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?

If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.

10 I am a wall, and my breasts like towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found favour.

11 Solomon had a vineyard at Baalhamon; he let out the vineyard unto keepers; every one for the fruit thereof was to bring a thousand pieces of silver.

12 My vineyard, which is mine, is before me: thou, O Solomon, must have a thousand, and those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred.

13 Thou that dwellest in the gardens, the companions hearken to thy voice: cause me to hear it.

14 Make haste, my beloved, and be thou like to a roe or to a young hart upon the mountains of spices.

  1. You can’t put out real LOVE with many waters nor can you put the flame out period!

7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

    “Once again Romance”……………….

  2. 6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

“Set a fire down in my soul that I can’t contain, that I can’t control. I want more of You God. There’s no place I’d rather be than here in Your love.” By His love, He overcame death. We have chosen to partake in that through obedience in salvation. Like a seal to establish ownership, to establish the final word, God be as a seal upon my heart.

  3. 14. Come quickly, my love. Be like a gazelle or young stag on the mountains of spices. Voice

    20. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. KJV

7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

Oh no matter what comes your way if your love us deep rooted nothing can destroy it. Even in the midst of adverse situations and troubles true live always remains somewhere deep within the heart. I Corinthians 13
Now abides Faith Hope and Charity but the greatest is Love.

  5. THE PAIN OF JEALOUSY

6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

For the flesh of man, the grave is the end of life as we know it. It is a concealed, dark place of no escape. Solomon reveals the living prison that is exposed when we live with jealousy in our heart. The spirit of jealousy locks up the individual that is jealous, not the one that they are jealous over.

Jealous – 1 :hostile toward a rival or one believed to enjoy an advantage :envious His success made his old friends jealous.
2 a :intolerant of rivalry or unfaithfulness
jealous of the slightest interference in household management —
b :disposed to suspect rivalry or unfaithfulness a jealous husband

    Jealousy = Envy

If you wish you were someone else or have something that someone else has. You are living in a grave. A rut with no ends.

In contrast, LOVE is strong as death. Death to the believer is not the end, but the beginning of eternity. Death can separate physically, but not emotionally.

John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

When death comes to our own will, rather than death to the will of GOD. In other words when we fulfill the desire of the LORD rather than the desire of self, we are strong in LOVE.

    Lift that cup up!
Allow the lord to overflow your cup. I know one scripture says many waters cannot quench Love and the other say whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall never thirst. The thing is these waters are everlasting so it could seem our thirst cannot be quenched because we’re wanting more and more and more.

“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭4:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭7:38

    Give me strength today Lord
iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus

  7. iLove to go Blog
    “Many waters cannot quench love,
    nor can rivers drown it.
If a man tried to buy love
    with all his wealth,
his offer would be utterly scorned.”
    Song of Songs 8:7 (NLT)

Love can not be bought. Just as this scripture says, if a man tried to buy love with all his wealth his offer would be rejected. This is the reason God gave man a free choice to serve him. God is looking for our love toward him. It’s not about getting everything we want from God, that would be like God was paying us to love him. What really proves our love towards Him is when everything appears to be going wrong and we still praise His name. This is our LOVE shown towards our Savior!

  8. The ultimate love

7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

    What is the greatest love?
Greater love hath no man than this, that he would lay down hid life for a friend.

We have lost touch with the ultimate sacrifice Jesus. God saw the destructive power of humanity and understood that we needed Him. So he robed himself on flesh and came as the Saviour to this world. He loved us so much that he died for you and me. He loved us so much that he allowed people to talk horrible things about him. They beat him. They spit on him. They killed him. For what reason though? Because he was healing people, speaking life into people? It was all because of you and me. He loved us so much that he gave his life.
    #GOdosomething by loving one another

  9. 6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

Our love for the Lord should be as a seal upon our heart guarding us and keeping us for Him. We should allow nothing to break that seal and come between the love with and for HIM.

  10. 7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

God’s love is not bought or traded for, but it is given and is everlasting. We have to show the love of Christ for he loved us. If we do t love our brother how can we love God? In the word it says you don’t love your brother then you don’t love God himself

“And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.”
    ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  11. 6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

Seal my heart oh God! Brand me as yours and only yours. May my heat never depart from you. May you never experience Jealousy from things of this world. You are my only love. I am yours and you ar Name be.

  12. 6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

I want to be close to you let my heart be filled with you I want to love the way you love
Jealousy is cruel I read and see all the things that people did in the Bible in the Bible when they were jealous
And I don’t want be the person that it’s important to refill yourself with the Holy Ghost everyday so your mind and you heart and be clean also reading the word of God everyday will help as well

  13. Love is the standard

7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”
    ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The flood of the enemy cannot stand against the standard of Love of Gods people. What ever walk of life or situation people are coming in with,
Nothing is more powerful than the love of God.
With God anything is possible. This means with Love anything is possible. Let us love each other with the love of God and the enemy doesn’t have a chance.

  14. God is love! If anything, that should be taken away for thought. Regardless of what we’ve been through, regardless of who we are, or where we’ve been, God continues to love us! His love is not just to a people, his love is shown to us individually. God cares about me and God cares about you!

The Song of Solomon is very different from most other books in the Bible, and God allowed it to be kept for that very reason. It provides a very definitive pictorial example of God’s love, of the depth of relationship he desires with us! Don’t lose sight of that revelation: God is love! When we question whether he sees or even cares about what we’re going through, we need to remember his love… and make those first three words of Romans 8:28 a reality.

Too often those first three words are overlooked or even forgotten, but they’re so important to what Paul was trying to say. ‘And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. ‘ We don’t just think or feel or hope, WE KNOW he is working it all out to our good in love with a purpose in mind! So continue in the faith and allow God to be God and every man a lier.

  15. Song of Solomon 8:7
“Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man whould give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.”

God’s Love for Us is Great!
When we truly Love God, nothing shall be able to seperate us from the Love of God.

  16. Josiah:6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
“jealousy is cruel as the grave” This is something that I pray I never have and never want: jealousy. Jealousy tears apart relations. Jealousy over exaggerates things. Jealousy causes discord in the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:3 says “For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? So, let us GO BE A LIGHT and not be jealous!

  17. 6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

This is where death has no sting this is where we understand that love conquers all because it is an enduring thing. Amen

  18. Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, its jealousy as enduring as the grave. Love flashes like fire, the brightest kind of flame. Many waters cannot quench love, nor can rivers drown it. If a man tried to buy love with all his wealth, his offer would be utterly scorned.
    Song of Songs 8:6‭-‬7 NLT

    True love cannot be stopped

  19. 6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

I Got a fire, I got a fire burning inside of me!

  20. 6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

These two verses speak of the power of love. May this be the love that is in my heart, where floods cannot quench it. May it be a burning fire that drives me. So that I may unlock all every drop of potential that God has for me. A fire shut up in my bones, that I can’t contain and I can’t control. May the love of God continue to build and burn in my life.

  21. 7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

Waters of a flood cannot quench the love of God in our lives. No matter what comes or goes no matter how difficult the situation we face as 1 Corinthians tells us… LOVE never fails…

  22. 6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

The love of Christ it is like no other! Truly he loves us so much that He robed himself in flesh, dwelt among us and then gave His life for us that we might be with Him forever. There is no greater love that I know of that can even come close to compare to God’s love for us! I want to be sure that all that I do in life shows forth my love for Christ! Surely I’m not perfect like Christ, but I can try my best to show my love for Him and to show the love of Christ to those around me. Not only can I show my love for Him in my words, but I can show my love for God to Him by my works and my actions in His kingdom! I can always ask, Have I done all!? Is there something more that I can be doing for His kingdom’s sake?!  Praise the Lord, for His mercy endureth forever!

  23. 6. Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame. I LOVE YOU JESUS !!!!

  24. Verse 7 CEV “Love cannot be drowned by oceans or floods; it cannot be bought, no matter what is offered.” The love of Christ is so precious and worthy. John 3:16 AMP “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] [a]only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

  25. 6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

Gods love for us is strong and even when we go astray, it’s his love that draws us back to him. Peter tells us that “Love covers a multitude of sins” (1Peter 4:8). He echoes the proverb, “Hatred stirs up strife but love covers all sins” (Proverbs 10:12).
We must consider his great love and not cause our God to be jealous of where we give our time and treasure to if it’s outside of his kingdom.

  26. 3 Your left arm would be under my head, and your right arm would embrace me.

Men, hold on to your wife. Embrace her, hug her and hold her hand. Physical touch goes a long way for your wife. Gives them a sense of security, love and peace.

  27. Song of Solomon 8; 6 (Enghlish Amp) Set me like a deal upon your heart, Like a deal upon your arm; for love is as strong as death, Jealousy is hard and cruel as Sheol ( the place of the dead ) . It’s flashes are flashes of fire, a most vehement flame ( the very flame of the Lord! ( Deut. 4:28 ) There you will serve God’s the work of men’s hands, wood and stone , which neither see not hear nor way nor smell.( 1 Corinthians 10:22) Shall we thus provoke the Lord to jealousy and anger and indignation? Are we stronger than He [ that we should defy Him]? Yes love covers a multitude of sins.

  28. 6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

The blood of Jesus sets us free and his Spirit seals us solidifying us as his own. Jealous is like cancer it spreads and consumed every cell it penetrates. It leads to death. Jesus conquered death, hell and the grave. 1 Cor 15:55 says “Where, O death, is your victory?Where, O death, is your sting?”

  29. Love cannot be drowned by oceans or floods. It cannot be bought— any offer would be scorned no matter how great.
    Song of Songs 8:7 CEV)

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly)John 10:10 KJV)so that means that our God said to us Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.)Luke 10:19 KJV). There’s nothing or no one that can take away what we have for Jesus and what he has given us we are created to be more than conquerors.
