Isaiah 1

The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.

Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.

Except the Lord of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

10 Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?

13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

21 How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.

22 Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:

23 Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.

24 Therefore saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:

25 And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:

26 And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.

27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be consumed.

29 For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.

30 For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.

31 And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.

  1. Verses 18-20 CEV “An Invitation from the Lord”: I, the Lord, invite you to come and talk it over. Your sins are scarlet red, but they will be whiter than snow or wool. If you willingly obey me, the best crops in the land will be yours. But if you turn against me, your enemies will kill you. I, the Lord, have spoken.”

What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus; What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow; No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

  2. Willing and Obedient

God is not looking for perfect people but for those that will yield and listen attentively with understanding. You see He desires the willing and obident more than He desires the “perfect” and “talented”

Lord, I always want to be teachable. I make myself available to You. I withhold nothing from you. I’m willing to do Your will and ready to obey Your call

  3. 4. Oh, what a sinful nation they are – loaded down with a burden of guilt. They are evil people, corrupt children who have rejected the Lord. They have despised the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him.

    5. Why do you continue to invite punishment? Must you rebel forever? Your head is injured, and your heart is sick.

    6. You are battered from head to foot- covered with bruises, welts, and infected wounds- without any soothing ointments or bandages.

    7. Your country lies in ruins, and your towns are burned. Foreigners plunder your fields before your eyes and destroy everything they see.

Does this not sound like the America of today?
But what can we do about it?

    16. Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways.

    17. Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.

    2 Chronicles 7:14
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. NLT

  4. 14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.
15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
    16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

God tells his people, that he hates their celebrations, he rejects their sacrifice, he turns away from them when they pray, because no matter what they do or sacrifice or plead to God…they still choose to repent from worshipping other gods. We can pray and fast all day and night but unless we make sure God has our attention first…it will all he in vain.

  5. Isaiah was a prophet in a most difficult time: the gradual decline of the nation of Israel as they feel away from God. What is a people supposed to do when they come to the realization that God is no longer central to their life and the enemy is pressing in on every side? The answer is the same as that given to the individual found in sin: ‘Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well; seek judgment…’ Notice the responsibility is placed upon the sinner.

It is a conscious choice to put away the sin in your life and be clean. Doing well doesn’t happen by accident, it is a decision, and it may even require some learning of what is right and what is not. In the end however, that kind of judgment is something that we seek out. It cannot be imposed from without, it needs to be a desire from within. So why would the sinner make such a choice? The prophet answers that from the Lord: ‘Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.’ Who would refuse the opportunity to clean the slate before their judgment: yet that is exactly what God allows us to do! And it is offered to whosoever will!

  6. 18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

  7. Isaiah 1
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

What Can Wash Away My Sins Nothing But The Blood of Jesus !

  8. 2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

Could it be that because we fail to know God’s voice, or where our rest is, that we too are in rebellion??? If His people know His voice, are we really His, if we don’t know his voice? The Word tells us that in Him is our rest… That we are to renew/ refresh ourselves in the Holy Ghost.

  9. Why do you countinue to invite punishment?
Must you rebel forever? Your head is injured,
and your heart is siek. Isaiah 1:5 NLT

  10. KINGDOM ATTITUDE

18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

So often as humans we fear what we should embrace. GOD in his mercy extends to us HIS Grace too often we fear to approach him. The WORD of GOD declares to us that he already knows what we need before we ask and that HE is faithful and just to FORGIVE us. But, our human nature is to hide and flee as Adam and Eve did.

GOD has desire to make us whole; heal our hearts, fix our heads, redeem our paths and restore us to HIS Kingdom, but too often we only seek his forgiveness fo this time. People deep down really don’t want to quit sin, we just don’t want to be lost.

When JESUS forgives sin, HE also instructs in Righteousness. HIS Kingdom is pure and righteous. HIS Nature is holy.

THE KINGDOM ATTITUDE is FAITH, WILLING, OBEDIENT and BLESSED.

Lets GO to GOD today with fears, failures and futures. JESUS is calling. Who is listening? Who will answer? Who will GO and confess to GOD? Who will be WASHED? Who will be CLEANSED? Who will be SAVED? Who will be BLESSED?

  11. The repetition of death

Can we get so caught up in “doing” that we forget it’s about the heart. Can that passion that we once felt, become the bear of everyday life? Can we sacrifice so much that we forget the pain of sacrifice?
Am I saying stop going to church,NO. Am I saying stop giving, NO. What i am saying though is we cannot forget what God has done for us. That because of his sacrifices we are able to live. Thank you Jesus for your sacrifices.

  12. 8 And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.

9 Except the Lord of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

We must not hide our light and be like a small cottage in a vast vineyard that is hard to see. Shine bright, let the light of Jesus be seen everywhere we go. Be a beacon of hope, peace and love. God has a people that is willing to be His hands and feet to the world. Am I willing? Will I be transparent and let Jesus be seen through me ?

  13. 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

lord make me a willing vessel to where i will do anything for your kingdom and your sake. Mold me to where you want me to be. I am malleable and you can make me to who you want me to be in Jesus name.

  14. 18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

Scarlet, or crimson, was the color of a deep-red permanent dye, and its stain was pretty much impossible to get out of clothing. The stain of sin seems equally permanent, but God can remove the stain of sin from our lives. We don’t have to go through life carrying sin and heavy burdens, for God’s word assures us that if we are willing and obedient, He will forgive us and remove our deepest sins!

  15. 18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

I love this promise from the Lord! God makes it clear that he wants to reason with us and make us pure. He wants to cleanse us from all iniquity of the flesh and spirit and purify us! We must take Him up on his offer and allow Him to cleanse us within and without. “What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus!”

  16. Isaiah 1:15-17
    15) And when you spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you; yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear; your hands are full of blood.
    16) Wash you, make you clean; put away evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
    17) Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widows.

It is sin that seperates us from God. It is sin that causes God to hide his eyes from us and not hear our prayers.
We must wash ourselves and make ourselves clean. We must learn to do well. For “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

  17. This day chapter is talking about repelis
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

21 How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
But in verse 10 it talk if you refuse Rebel
And choose I want to focus on God
You can’t have a relationship with God if you are rebel you just can’t have be faithful serving the lord because when we chose to turn our faces against the law of God we are rebelling

  18. for as long the people of judah continued to sin the covering of God will be cut from them.

BUT rember no matter how lonely you are he will never abandon you.

  19. 18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

Willing and obedient. We are not forced to obey God or to worship Him, we have a choice. And IF we are willing and obedient, God tells us here, we can be washed white as snow. Verse 20 says what happens if you choose not to, but I choose life!

  20. 16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Choose who you will serve. We can read how the people fare when God takes his hands off his people because of rebellion and also read how he provides for and blesses them when they return to him. We serve a God of second chances who is asking his people to turn from their wicked ways and come back home to him. His love is greater than the riches of this world.

  21. 17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

How do we learn to do well – better?

When presented with a new opportunity, people often explore the challenge for a period of time before we are able to implement an idea. There is a period of slowing down between identifying the challenge and determining a way to move forward. This time includes slowing down to discern God’s time, and time to include outside resource — a helper, a support network — to gain more understanding about the opportunity. Knowing that things naturally slow down as part of a learning process can help reduce stress related to change.

  22. iLove to Go blog
5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

The whole head is sick. That is the issue, the Word says “Proverbs 23:7 KJV  For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…” The mind is where we win or lose the battle.

Genesis 6:5 KJV  “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”

We must cast down every imagination that exalts itself against God if we want to be on the good side of God’s mercy.

Philippians 4:8 KJV  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

  23. 18 “Come now, let’s settle this,”
    says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
I will make them as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson,
I will make them as white as wool.

Have you ever worked with someone or a pet, and just get to the point where you just put your hands in the air with the attitude of “Come On”.

When I read this passage, I can’t help but think Jesus has His hands on His head and is like “Come On”.

He’s literally given it all to us, He wants to take our sins and make them white as snow. All because He desires to be with us, He simply asks that we will obey Him.

19 If you will only obey me, you will have plenty to eat.

  24. 16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

God is willing to wash you and forgive and forget everything that you have done and all the sins that you have committed because with his unconditional love he will be there yet with all the opportunities that he gives us, yet so many people dont take advantage and get lost and just forget how much he loves us.

  25. 3 The ox knows its master,
    the donkey its owner’s manger,
    but Israel does not know,
    my people do not understand.”

This is how the world is right now sadly, people don’t know who their creator is. They might know about a God but don’t know who He really is. Many don’t have a relationship with Jesus and are crying for that. Jesus is the only one that can fill us and fill that void inside of us. Jesus you are my creator!!! Help me to understand your Word, your will in my life, and my potential Jesus!!!

  26. “If you will only obey me, you will have plenty to eat. But if you turn away and refuse to listen, you will be devoured by the sword of your enemies. I, the Lord, have spoken!””
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1:19-20

  27. 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

Scripture says blessed are the ones that obey. I can’t even imagine being swallowed by a sword so rebellion. Refusing to submit to authority isn’t even an option.

  28. Isaiah 1:16,17 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; 17.Learn to do well; seek judgement, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow .

Jeremiah 4:14 O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?

Romans 12:9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

Cleansing of the heart results in true repentance.
    Overcome Evil with Good!

  29. 3 Even an ox knows its owner,
and a donkey recognizes its master’s care—
but Israel doesn’t know its master.
My people don’t recognize my care for them.”
4 Oh, what a sinful nation they are—
loaded down with a burden of guilt.
    They are evil people,
corrupt children who have rejected the Lord.
They have despised the Holy One of Israel
and turned their backs on him. NLT

We can’t be the people that say “oh God will be there when I need him”, if we only go to God when we need him then we’re doing nothing, and we can’t help God save the people that are lost, so I am going to give him my everything all the time so that I save myself and help God save others!

  30. Hannah: “19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it” There is always great joy and peace when you follow in the ways of the Lord, but there is always destruction when you turn away from him. There is no real joy in evil, because evil will only bring more evil, and cause more trouble. The Bible says that all of heaven rejoices when one soul comes to the Lord. One single soul won over to the Lord is more important to the Lord than all of the earthly riches. He says that the riches in heaven are far greater than the riches on earth because the riches in heaven are eternal while the riches on this earth are only temporary. In him there is eternal life, and it is my desire to always walk in his ways and go be a light to those around me.

  31. 3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

This is one work I do not want to apply to me. May I know the Lord better then the ox knows his owner. Stop to consider of the things the Lord has done, his ways and his paths and follow them myself.

  32. as lamb knows its shepherd, so should we know our father whom we pray every single time our lives starts turning upside down.yet when we are all good we put him back in the little box and we go back to they ways that turned our lives into a living disaster, and soon it becomes a never ending cycle. because of that we forget that God can be hurt by our actions and we sometimes think that he loves us too much he wouldn’t punish us for what we do. yes he does love us enough to give us endless chances to step back and look at who we have become and who we were meant to be and to also remember who we are and who he is” that he is God and we aren’t”, because when we realizes that, then we know we messed up and we sincerely repent. this is the only way God can truly forgive our sins ” its only when we truly and sincerely repent and turn around to never do what we used to do”.

  33. 2 Listen, O heavens! Pay attention, earth! This is what the LORD says: “The children I raised and cared for have rebelled against me.

Parents, our precious little children do grow up and make choices of their own. We can only pray they will never rebel against you. As long as we train and raise our children in God’s way, the chances of them rebellion is small, but the enemy will not quit of putting pressure on children/teenagers. Parents always be aware of who their friends are, and where they want to go.

  34. Isaiah 1:18 NLT
[18] “Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.

  35. 7 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Live a righteous and Holy Life! Serve God and other with gladness and right sprit. Seek God word, pray fast never have to much pride to seek guidance from the wise.

8 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

God has washed away my sins! thank you Jesus for your cleasing blood
Thank God for the blood, thank god for his cleasing blood Thank God for his blood that washes white as snow!

  36. Isaiah 1:16 (English Amp) Wash yourselves , make yourselves clean ; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes! Crease to do evil,(17) Learn to do right! Seek justice, relieve the oppressed, Defend the fatherless, plead for widows. Repenting and cleaning out our hearts comes to true repentance. Overcome evil and do good for the lord. For give one another , Forget get your past and press on for on for Jesus. Just remember what God has for you. I love you Jesus, Thank you for everything.

  37. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. But if ye refuse and rebel , ye shall be devoured with the sword. For the month of the Lord has spoken it. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

  38. God is able to clean even the darkest sins. We don’t have to be concerned about the enemy when we’re on the Lord’s side and as long as we obey his commandments. Let us rejoice for the joy of the Lord is our strength.

  39. 16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Even before the time of Jesus, the man of God recognized the importance of living holy unto God. He recognized that a nation cannot serve the world and the pleasures thereof and still enjoy the favor of God in their lives. The same is true even today! God truly loves us and wants us to live pleasing to Him, yet He lets us make that choice for ourselves. We have many examples throughout the Bible of how different lifestyles play out eternally, so we cannot claim ignorance on our part if we choose to turn away from heavenly things. Yet, if we choose to serve God, He promises that He can wash away our sins and make them white as snow! I pray that I never fall into the rut that befell Israel so often, that I can learn from their mistakes and from the many examples throughout the Bible, so that I may live a life pleasing to God! I want to do my best, what a better way to do that then to head the very examples He has given me! Praise the Lord for His mercy endureth forever!!

  40. 10 Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

  41. 2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

To hear and listen are completely different!!!

  42. “Listen to the Lord, you leaders of “Sodom.” Listen to the law of our God, people of “Gomorrah.” “What makes you think I want all your sacrifices?” says the Lord. “I am sick of your burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fattened cattle. I get no pleasure from the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1:10-11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God found all sacrifices meaningless and even abhorrent if the offeror failed in obedience to His laws. Rebellion is equated to the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness to iniquity and idolatry.

They are heavily corrupted with sin that God does not want an offering from them. They are going through the motions of being God’s people, but God will not accept their offerings offered with sinful hands.

  43. 18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

It is the Lord’s desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance. All we have to do is be willing and obedient to partake of the blessings.

  44. 10 Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

Obedience over sacrifice. What good is our sacrifice, if we don’t obey the word of the Lord?

  45. Josiah: 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
“If ye be willing and obedient” When we are obedient and willing we can eat the fruit of the land. We can get blessed when we are obedient. Yes, there is going to be work. Yes, there is going to be trials. However it is much better to stay obedient to the word of God and be willing. Good things do not come to those who rebel. So, let us GO be WILLING and OBEDIANT!

  46. The Lord gives Isaiah with a supernatural vision, giving him a special consciousness and understanding of God and his will, especially for the future (for example Daniel, Ezekiel and John and the book of Revelation). Often a vision “speaks” to them through images and metaphors that need interpretation in order to be understood. It functions similarly to a dream but the person is awake. They communicate encouragement as well as warnings, but God is the initiator, not us. Our part is to receive them by faith and hold them up for confirmation from godly people, the Scriptures and the Lord. Then we understand God’s word for us, we have the privilege of following his direction and participating in this eternal purpose.

  47. 18. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20. But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. THANK YOU JESUS !!!!
