Isaiah 4

And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.

And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:

When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

  1. 6 And there will be a Tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from the storm and rain. I thank the Lord for being my shelter during the storms in my life and for being my place of refuge when I need to be covered in His peace, which is daily. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

  2. In the NLT these verses are captioned “A Promise of Restoration”. Verses 5-6 ERV says “Then the Lord will create a cloud of smoke in the day and a bright flame of fire[d] at night over every building and over every meeting of the people on the mountain of Zion. And there will be a covering over everyone[e] for protection. It will be a shelter to protect the people from the heat of the sun and from all kinds of storms and rain.” A promise and protection.

  3. 5. And the Eternal will create wonders over the whole of Mount Zion and those who gather there-cloud and smoke to dim the day, bright shining fire to light the night, all billowing over Zion’s glory like a satin canopy.

    6. And it will be a resting place, protected from the heat of the day, a place of shelter and retreat amid storms and rain. Voice

    Peace of God, Cover me
    Cover me, Cover me
    Peace of God, Cover me
    Through the Storm, Cover me

Only in You I am safe
    Only in You I’m secure
Only in You I find peace
    So Cover me, Cover me

Cover me when I am hurting
Cover me when I’m not strong
Cover me when I am going
    Through the Storm
Cover me when all seems hopeless
Cover me when my faith is gone
Let the Peace that passes all I understand
    Cover Me, Cover Me

  4. 5 And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.
6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

For HE MAKETH IT RAIN UPON THE JUST AND THE UNJUST!!! FOR THERE IS NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE FOR OUR GOD!!! HE SUPPLIETH ALL OUR NEEDS AND lacking NOOOOOTHING!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  5. 4 The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion; he will cleanse the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire.
5 Then the Lord will create over all of Mount Zion and all over those who were assemble there a cloud of smoke by day any glow of flaming fire by night, over all the glory will be a canopy.

  6. There is a desire that is oft attributed to the old that I like to think is more the result of experience than age. The desire to see that day when everything is made right ‘And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:’ There is just so much fulfillment in considering what it will be like when everything that is left in the land of promise shall be called holy. Where they are a true reflection of the one who sits on the throne as the Angels sing holy, holy, holy to the lamb!

Before that day, however there is still a work to be performed. It is not the work of making everything right in the world. The very next verse declares: ‘When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.’ We cannot expect the world to be clean until Jesus comes, but we can make a difference in every soul that responds to his call. We may not be able to change the world, but we can change individuals and bring their desire away from the world and towards the holy God of heaven! And as we do we can reflect upon that day when those we’re guiding upon his path will no longer have to struggle against all the wickedness of this present life. When everyone who is counted worthy will be called holy unto the Lord!

  7. The Lord will provide shade for mount zion and all who assemble there. He will provide a canopy of cloud during the day and smoke and flaming fire at nigth,
Covering the glorious land. Isaiah 4:5 NLT

  8. 5 And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

In Proverbs we read that wisdom is a defense and money is a defense. Here we read that God use his glory for a defense upon every dwelling on His mount Zion. May God create a hedge of protection of his glory around every dwelling place of his church in Jesus Name!

  9. Isaiah 4:6
“And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.”

  10. 4. When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zi’-on, and shall have purged the blood of Je-ru’-sa-lem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. 5. And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zi’-on, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence. 6. And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain. Praise ye the LORD !!!!

  11. 4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

In the NLT, verse 2 down is titled “A Promise of Restoration.” Thank You Jesus, we all have a promise and He is not a respector of persons.

  12. 4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
This verse reminds me of baptism and the washing away of our sins by the blood of Jesus. His blood washes us whiter than snow and saves us from the burning of the flames of hell. Thank God for the blood!

  13. 2 In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.

I believe this verse is referencing the second coming of the Lord and the apocalypse that comes with these events. We believe the Lord will provide. Here we can see “in that day” there will be resources available “for them that escape”. I remember a visiting preacher asking Bro Jackson if he ever lied; of course Bro Jackson responded with yes. The preacher then replied that maybe we should now refer to Bro Jackson as Liar Jeremy – in similar fashion as we refer to Doubting Thomas. Why do we not refer to Peter as Denying Peter?

I believe we are all different and have differing methods in dealing with the world around us. Some can accept things on the face value and be perfectly happy and content. Others need more time for consideration and some still need proof. I don’t believe there is a problem in being part of the latter group – God created each of us, He must have instilled these urges within us.

I believe Thomas was the latter of the group. Jesus makes it clear that it’s better to believe without seeing, he doesn’t deny Thomas for his doubt or his need for proof. Although Thomas lacked faith, Jesus provided the proof in His hands. Through that, Thomas was the only one to feel the wounds and I predict have a deeper relationship with Jesus.

  14. 4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

5 And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

  15. 6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.
The comforting words of God that He provides a place of refuge for his people. Every need we have had, do have or will ever have; He has already decreed a provision for it. All we need to do is to be wholly submitted and obedient unto Him. Then, we can be in that place of refuge, safe and secure from harm; full of calm and a peace only given from God in the midst of the raging storms of this world.

  16. The Spirit of burning caught my attention and scripture records fire 2 ways. First is the fire of the Holy Ghost and the second reference the Lord brought to my mind found in 2 Thessalonians 8 “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;”

POFW, we are pregnant with revival and the fire of the Holy Ghost must fall in our region, in our N Texas District long before the fire of judgement falls. For it is the holy referred to in the chapter that remain and we are destined by God to reach thousands in just our region alone.

  17. 1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

We always want to do what we want, but we never want to bear the consequence, for everything good and bad there is a consequence, Obedience is better than sacrifice.
REPROACH; CONTUMELY, DISGRACE, THE PUDENDA:- REBUKE, REPROACH (-FULLY) SHAME.
When we are obedient we dont have to worry about reproach, but when we say ” Im a grown woman/man, Ill do what I want, wear what I want, that becomes rebellion, and even though no one is aware of what we are saying in our heart, God knows, and the Holy Ghost convicts us, thats when we begin to feel that feeling of shame. The only way to get rid of reproach is repentance!

  18. In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
    Isaiah 4:2 KJV
    http://bible.com/1/isa.4.2.KJV

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord , that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast. Behold, the days come, saith the Lord , that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
    Jeremiah 31:27‭, ‬31 KJV

God sees our fruit; He knows what we think and what we’re going to do before we do it. Our labor shows the fruit that we want to reap. I know that there are areas I still need help in, but God knows where I’m at and what I need to do to get where He wants me to be. It is up to me to chose the path: with recent events there have been a lot that I have changed and there are things that I still need improving on. God will guide me to where He can use me the most. I shall reap what I sow and it will be of the kingdom not the World. Thank you Jesus.

  19. 1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

This is the sad state of many churches today. They want the benefits that come with using “the name of Jesus,” but sadly they want to do their own thing, wear their own apparel, and not submit to the living a sacrificial life holy and acceptable unto the Lord.

Sadly, these will be the people at that great day of judgement that will say to the Lord …..

Matthew 7: 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them*, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

  20. evil will not live on forever . an there will be a day when Jesus comes to save us from this place and we will be with him an that is are greatest reward. his people will be protected by his love, and others will be separated if they do not submit.

  21. The Lord will wash the filth from beautiful Zion[b]
and cleanse Jerusalem of its bloodstains
with the hot breath of fiery judgment. NLT

When we get baptized in the name of Jesus it literally washes away our sins and after that when we mess up again and repent, God forgives us, and he completely forgets what we did, but what we need to do is turn away from that sin and never look back!

  22. When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
    Isaiah 4:4 KJV

But in that day, the branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious; the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of all who survive in Israel. All who remain in Zion will be a holy people— those who survive the destruction of Jerusalem and are recorded among the living. The Lord will wash the filth from beautiful Zion and cleanse Jerusalem of its bloodstains with the hot breath of fiery judgment.
    Isaiah 4:2‭-‬4 NLT

On that day God will destroy and Clean every filthy thing that’s among this Earth he will do it by fire everyone will be judged early it say woman will fight over man this is serious we need to be ready I want be the one to make on the top of the mountain

6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

There shall be a Tabernacle; a shadow and covering. A protection form the heat and the storm. The CHURCH is the House of GOD, The Tabernacle of GOD and we are invited to come in with HIM.

This invitation is waiting for us to COME to JESUS. The PLACE is established for us to COME to JESUS.

A covering is made available to and for us by our Father. We are priviledged to take advantage of this opportunity.

  24. 4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

5 And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

When God put a cloud over the Israelites by day and fire by night, it was used as protection, it was used as a covering. Lord I pray that you would purge me of my filth and wash me in Your mercy. Lord put a covering over me!

  25. 4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

5 And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my savior; thou saved me from violence. I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. 2 Samuel 22:3-4
I am so thankful that God washed away my son’s he died on cross so I can live a righteous and holy life! When fear tried to take over God is always there reaching out letting me know it will be ok . But trust him. We need to protect our walk with God our prayer lives cover our families and friends with prayer. We know God has our back but the enemy Satan isn’t going to sit around and let’s us do what we need to do either. We are Satan priority all he wants is to take us to help. GOD and his work is our priority and he is way bigger than that stupid devil. We are all overcomers through Jesus! Gaurd your tabernacle!!

  26. 6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

A Tabernacle according to the Hebrew Bible, was the portable earthly dwelling place of God

We find peace with the SPIRIT OF GOD we know that our temple is dwelling place of the Lord. We are our own Tabernacle. We go off to ourselves alone with God and tell him everything on our chest. We fight we scream we ask questions WHY, WHEN, WHAT, and HOW? Our only comfort is in the Lord we go to him in the rain and in the storm because we know he remains in control. This isn’t our battle it’s HIS and the battle is already won so it’s really in your hands to choose if you stay or GO. The GO that should be in your life is to GO FORTH to GO PRAY to GOFAST

know who’s in control, know where your comfort is…

iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus!

  27. It will provide shade from the heat of the sun and a place of shelter and protection from storms and rain.(Isaiah 4:6 CEV)

The Lord’s goodness and faithfulness is like a huge tent that protects to cover over us because wether we are in times of sunshine or times of rain, we receive His gifts of protection, relief, and refreshment.

  28. 4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

Two Spirits that we hear very little about…

  29. Isaiah 4:2 NLT
[2] But in that day, the branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious; the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of all who survive in Israel.

  30. 4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

5 And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain. THANK YOU GOD FOR THAT SAME TABERNACLE THAT WE HAVE.:,,, TO GOD BE THE GLORY

  31. Isaiah 4

6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

He is my refuge. He is my fortress. In Him I am secure.

4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

Whew, we all want to miss the judgement of God. We would all be doing ourselves a favor if we chose to wash ourselves in the blood of the Lamb instead of judgement falling upon us from God. We all have a choice to go to God in prayer and allow the Holy Ghost and Fire to purge our souls while we are willing vessels.

1 Timothy 5:24 KJV  Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.

We want those sins to be open before judgement…because the ones that follow men after cannot be forgiven because they die in those sins.

  33. 4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion with the blood of Jesus that washes away sins and with baptism so they are forgotten as far as the east is from the west. He will cleanse the bloodstains of Jerusalem with judgment because he corrects those who he loves and a Spirit of fire to both purify and set apart to himself. He gives us Holy Ghost fire to burn within us and preserve us unto him.

  34. join him, follow him and rejoice with him(Jesus) because when that day comes and he cleans up this world, everyone of us wants to be part of that congregation left with Jesus in the new and cleansed Jerusalem.

  35. 4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

We need the Lord to continually wash away our filth and purge us from all things that would bring us judgement

  36. But in that day, the branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious; the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of all who survive in Israel.
    Isaiah 4:2 NLT

  37. Isaiah 4:6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

Psalm 27:5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
91:1 Hebrews that dwellers in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

    Thank you Jesus!

  38. But in that day, the branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious; the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of all who survive in Israel.
    Isaiah 4:2 NLT

The Lord is the one who can bring restoration to any soul. What life has worn and the things one thinks the enemy has taken the Lord is the one that restores. He makes all things new. And makes us a new creature. Hope in Him

  39. “When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Oh Lord wash me from all filthiness and purge me with your blood! Not my will but thine be done. Lord I want to know you more and be in your will.

“And after going a little farther, He fell face down and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible [that is, consistent with Your will], let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.”

He went away a second time and prayed, saying, “My Father, if this cannot pass away unless I drink it, Your will be done.””
    ‭‭MATTHEW‬ ‭26:39, 42‬ ‭AMP‬‬

  40. 6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

When your in the church it doesn’t mean that bad stuff stops happening in life, it just means it doesn’t destroy you any more. When we have the peace of God that passes all understanding, it means that no one will be able to figure out how you made it through the storm. It doesn’t make since to the world but when your on the inside you can’t feel the storm like you do when your outside. You still know it’s raining because you can hear it. You still know it’s thundering because you can hear it. You can feel the sound waves pass through your body when a big thunder is close. BUT it doesn’t worry you because you know you are safe. The storms of life shall come but we will be protected by the church. Stay I the boat and ride across the top of the wave instead of trying to swim by yourself.

  41. And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

    TheLORD IS OUR REFUGE

  42. 6 It will be a shelter from daytime heat and a hiding place from storms and rain.

Thank you God for providing shelter to me and my family. You do God’s will, and he will provide for you. He knows your needs even before you ask.

  43. 6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

Is the church considered a place of refuge? In our communities, our churches should be the place that people can come too to be safe and feel safe. But not just our churches but ourselves. Do people in our neighborhoods see us as good people, and people of integrity? Do they see our homes as places that they know the people show the love of God? We must work on impacting our communities by being these places of refuge and strength as God gives us the opportunity. Are you, we being Christ to our world? Thank you Jesus for our church, a light in our community.

  44. 1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

Rebellion is a form of witchcraft and that is not good. We always want to do whatever we want and we will always suffer conquences for our decisions. Sin looks so great liek a whole cake then we eat it, but we soon find out that the cake is 5000 calories and the worst decision you could have made.
