Isaiah 25

O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.

Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.

For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.

And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.

He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.

And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

10 For in this mountain shall the hand of the Lord rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.

11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.

12 And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.

  1. 9 And it will be said in that day behold, this is our God. We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the Lord, we have waited for Him. We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

  2. The end of verses 1-5 in the MSG says “….But you, shelter from the storm and shade from the sun, shut the mouths of the big-mouthed bullies.” Isaiah 4:5-6 MSG says “Then God will bring back the ancient pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night and mark Mount Zion and everyone in it with his glorious presence, his immense, protective presence, shade from the burning sun and shelter from the driving rain.”

Verses 8-9 NLT “He will swallow up death forever! The Sovereign Lord will wipe away all tears. He will remove forever all insults and mockery against his land and people. The Lord has spoken! In that day the people will proclaim, “This is our God! We trusted in him, and he saved us! This is the Lord, in whom we trusted. Let us rejoice in the salvation he brings!” This reminds me of the song we sang last night “Again I Say Rejoice”:

Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, again I say Rejoice
Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, again I say Rejoice

    Come bless the Lord,
    Come bless the Lord,
draw near to worship Christ the Lord
    And bless his name,
His holy name, Declaring he is good.

Oh, that men would praise him,
Oh, that men would Praise him,

  3. 1 Eternal One, YOU are my God. I will lift YOU up and praise YOUR Name. ..

2 YOUR power is awesome. YOU have brought down whole cities…

3 This is why nations strong and mighty will glorify YOU; the cities of ruthless people will fear and respect YOU.

4 Because YOU stand up for the poor and weak, YOU comfort and empower them in their distress…

5 YOU shelter from the relentless heat of the desert. YOU quiet the clamor of outsiders…YOU silence the arrogant song of the violent.

6 The Eternal, Commander of heavenly armies, is preparing a feast…

7 And GOD will swallow up the oppression that weighs us down…

8 GOD will swallow up death forever. The LORD, the Eternal, will wipe away the tears from each and every face…

9 …This is our GOD! We put our hope in HIM. We knew that HE would save us! This is our GOD, the Eternal for whom we waited. Let us rejoice and celebrate in HIS liberation.

10 …HE will smash and tread Moab like straw on manure.

11 And GOD will reach out…

12 GOD will bring down their strongest walls…

In a world of I, ME, MY, and MINE, it’s important to remember that it’s not about us, but it’s all about HIM and HIS Kingdom.

  4. 1 O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. (NLT)

O Lord, thou art my God!!

  5. ‘Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee’! That should excite us! We are meek, we are humble, that we can be strong in him! Our strength is not in ourselves, it is in our God so it cannot be diminished or taken away. While he moves against the passing strength of those in this world, he allows his strength to be evident among his people!

This isn’t just to lift us up however; God has a purpose in mind. ‘And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.’ He is destroying the vail of deception that so clouds the spiritual vision of so many in this world. That means our strength can be used to pull them out of the flames of their own destruction. We can make a difference in their life! They now have the opportunity to see clearly, so let us show then our God! Use our strength to demonstrate to them who Jesus is!

  6. 9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

Beautiful things take place when we wait on the Lord. When we are willing to wait on Him and allow him to work in our lives He does miraculous things.
It is commonly said “great things come to those who wait” to those in the upper room the greatest thing came to those who tarried… the gift of the Holy Ghost!

  7. But you are a tower of refuge to the poor, O Lord , a tower of refuge to the needy
in distress. You are a refuge from the storm and a shelter from the heat.
    Isaiah 25:4 NLT

  8. 8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.
9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

  9. GO REJOICE NOW

The prophet describes and declares that there will be a day of rejoicing for those who have waited for our Lord JESUS. I am refreshed today in my vision, hope and dream for eternity. The promises of GOD are yea and amen.

The BIBLE is a book of promises and warnings. We are wise to find the find the promises and heed the warnings. There is coming a day when the promise of “This too shall pass” will be a testimony. He shall wipe away tears from off all faces.

I refuse to wait until that day to say THIS IS OUR GOD! Lets begin today saying THIS IS OUR GOD he will save us; we will be glad and rejoice.

    Lets GO!

Thank you everyone for your PRAYER!

  10. Isaiah 25

K owing Who He Truly Is The Great I Am
1 O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

.To know Him as the Savior. Such a glorious way of living. We are not waiting on the Promise One to be revealed we already have Him His Promise. We already know Who He is. A whole nation is still waiting for their Messiah yet we filled with the Holy Ghost know Him. We must continually reach to this world to share the glorious message they too can know Him and His excellent works. His peace.
I will praise His name, I will exalt Him for He has not just already done great things but is still doing great things!

  11. Isaiah 25:9
“And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”

JESUS today YOU will SAVE me!
I will be Glad and Rejoice in your Salvation!

  12. 9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

Wow when that day comes eyes will be open what a beautiful day that will be to see JESUS face to face I can see myself running up and giving him a big hug sitting Jesus lap on the everyone is going to see what a mighty God we serve and one that day JESUS alone will be glorified all others God’s will be destroy

  13. 8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.
9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

As Christians today we may feel like we are scorned or mocked for our beliefs because this world steers itself wholeheartedly toward what God calls sin. But in this day, we will rejoice eternally because we have held onto the hand of our unchanging God. He will rescue, save and deliver us and we will no longer be despised.

  14. “He will swallow up death forever, And the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces; The rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken. And it will be said in that day: “Behold, this is our God; We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the LORD; We have waited for Him; We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.””
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭25:8-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The passage makes me long for my home! Where there is no sickness, pain, sorrow or sin. The only thing we can do until we get there to allow His throne to be established in our lives. And allow His Kingdom to come here on earth. That’s when we can truly be changed and see miracles, signs and wonders.

  15. 3 Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.

We must always allow the Word of God to challenge us and also to examine us. Today, I must ask myself “Am I walking in strength or fear?” When I live a life that is for the Glory of God I am walking in the strength of God. Yet, the opposite is also important; when I am walking according to the flesh I am walking fear. At any moment I could b judged for my wrong.

    Everything is for HIS Glory!

  16. 1 God, you are my God. I celebrate you. I praise you. You’ve done your share of miracle-wonders, well-thought-out plans, solid and sure. MSG

Have you seen memes of “There are Two Types of People”?

“There are Two Types of People” is a colloquial expression used to preface a statement that generalizes and juxtaposes people into two polar opposite groups based on their personal behaviors or preferences.

If we apply this to our Relationship with Christ; Are we the ones that Celebrate Jesus or Are we the ones that Blame Him for the things that we didn’t get.

Are we the ones that Praise Him or Are we the ones that Neglect our Creator?

How can we identify which person we are? In Matthew 7: 16-19 states:
“You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. 19 So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. 20 Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.”

We are called to the be LIGHT of the World, so are We LIGHT or DARK?

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” John 1:5

Being the LIGHT of the World, we will LIVE to CELEBRATE Him! We will desire to PRAISE Him! Tell others of the miracle-wonders, just as Matthew 7 states we can tell which person we are by our actions.

    He will end their pride
    and all their evil works.
12The high walls of Moab will be demolished.
They will be brought down to the ground,
    down into the dust.

Over and over again we see that God hates pride. If there is one thing that causes the wrath of God to come upon folks, it is pride.

The Hebrew word for pride in Isaiah 25:11 is:
    ga’ăvâh
    gah-av-aw’
From H1342; arrogance or majesty; by implication (concretely) ornament: – excellency, haughtiness, highness, pride, proudly, swelling.

Why does God hate pride so much? The answer is found in the definition. It’s when folks start acting out in the spirit of lucifer saying they will exalt themselves like the Most High and they start thinking higher of themselves than they ought. This causes God to judge because it is the actual spirit of lucifer that is influencing the person to act that way. If God doesn’t judge, the spirit of lucifer will cause a great uprising and would eventually destroy the whole earth. In fact, this will happen in the last days when the antichrist will set up his kingdom. Eventually, the judgement of God will also destroy the antichrist.

Let’s stay humble and refuse to entertain the spirit of pride.

  18. 1. O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. 2. For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built. 3. Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee. TO GOD BE THE GLORY !!!!

  19. 1 O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

Praise Him for His goodness and faithfulness! Even in the midst of a storm, there are many reasons to exalt Him! Praise Him for all the He has done, praise Him for the things He does that we may not even know about, and praise Him for all the things He is going to do for you! Let us exalt His name forever!

  20. 4. For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

    I run to you Lord
At all times I know where I am safe and when I am alone I am with Him.
When you break apart Alone it says Al-one
Where I am one with God is where home is, where I feel at peace.
Go spreading his word and his Love in Jesus name
iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

  21. 1 O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

What more reasons to praise God, not only did he save and raise me. But his counsels are faithfulness and truth since before time begin. God does not change and I am glad to praise his name for he is faithful and true.

  22. 8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.

Sometimes it may seem that heartache and despair is all we feel and see. Why? We know we are children of the most high God. We know that He loves us. We know these things but we get so caught up in our piddley little lives that we lose sight of who we are. One day soon we will see the desires of our hearts and our tears will dry. Joy comes in the morning.

  23. 4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

5 Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.

6 And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

God you are our strength when we are weak, when we need peace you give us peace that passeth all understanding. God is there and always in time! He will make sure we are fed and taking care of! The lord will provide!!

  24. 1 O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

Plain and simple The word is truth and in the begging the word was God and the word was with God! We live and eat and breath the truth spread it to everyone! You have no idea who is actually around You.

  25. 1 O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

2 For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.

3 Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.

4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

  26. 12 And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.
My GOD IS A JUST GOD!!! NOTHING GOES UNNOTICED!!!

  27. 1 O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

We exalt God for truth and his faithfulness, we praise Him for what he has done and who he is

  28. 4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

Jesus you are my all Lord. In the times where I thought I had no way out, when I felt choked with no way out you came and rescued me. You rescued me from the darkness and bondage of my adversity. The devil thought he had me, but you freed me, because of you my children are learning to invite souls to church. Their learning to not be ashamed of the gospel, their learning to pray, to go to church, to trust in you, to believe in miracles, to believe in healings, to pray for the lost, and so many more things. Thank you Jesus because you have kept them from this world.

  29. What are you building?

2 For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.

Just like the Tower of Babel, God will never allow some things to be built. There is a reason God doesn’t allow you to take any natural things into heaven with you. There will be no distractions when you get there. All focus will be on him. Some people spend their lives chasing dreams of temporal glory, but those things will never stand. All natural things will perish in a lifetime but your soul loves on forever. Invest in eternity instead of what will become nothing again. Building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.

  30. He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.

9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. like the song ;What A day that will be when my Jesus comes for me when I look upon his face when he takes me by the hand and leads me to the Promised Land THANK YOU JESUS

  31. 9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

When the heart of people are turned to God and they recognize that He is their Savior. He is the one who has kept them and been there for them. There will be great rejoicing. My prayer is for this king of hunger to be in the hearts of men and women all over the region of Fort Worth. When we begin to tell of what God is doing for us and for those around us, and it’s noised abroad, people will begin to respond.

  32. The Lord All-Powerful will destroy the power of death and wipe away all tears. No longer will his people be insulted everywhere. The Lord has spoken! saiah 25:8 KJV)

The Lord has all power in his righteous right hand and who makes us victorious over the enemy. The enemy may have rained on us and come in like a flood but God will lift up a standard against him. For the lord is our fortress and our strong tower. He lifts us up when life tries to knock us down.

  33. 1 O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

Thank you Jesus for there is no one like you. You are faithful and full of mercy. You are patient rewards those that seek you.

  34. 6 And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

    A trip up the mountain.

There once was a man who decided to go up a mountain. He took the essentials and headed off. He came to a road where the general store was. He went in and got some water for his trip. The clerk asked why he wasn’t taking his truck up the mountain? “It would take you a mere 4 hours in the truck.” the clerk said. The man laughed and said ,” True but I would not be able to camp outside for week if I did that.” The clerk replied,” I will be up at The top in a few days, i will see you there and give you a ride down if you want.” The man left the store. The day turned into night and night into day and the man came to a fork in the path. Another climber was on the path and said hello. “Which path do I take?” The man asked the climber. “Well, you should take the path of least resistance. Take the path the everyone else has taken. You know it is safe.” The man said “true, but I want a challenge. I think I will go the way hard way because not a lot of people go that way.” The climber said,” Well it all gets you to the same place. Ill see you when you get there.” And so the two separated and left on their ways. A few days passed and the man passed by many wild animals, climbed steep cliffs, went through a rushing river, and walked across an open meadow full of wild flowers. And he made it to the top of the mountain. He took off his pack and looked across the top of the mountain only to find out that he was not alone. There was an old mountain man sitting under a tree. He went over to him and asked,” Where is the road, and the other easier path. I’m suppose to meet some friends here today.” The old man looked at him and pointed to a sign. The man went over and read it. ” To who ever is reading this. Congratulations!!! You are now 10000 feet higher than you were when you started. You have travelled a great distance through forest, over rivers, and meet some of the local wild life. And in case you are wondering the road ended at 6000 feet high and the easy trail ended at 7500 feet high. You are King of the Mountain.” The man looked over to the old man and the old man replied,” when are your friends getting here again…”

Don’t forego the trip up the mountain. The experiences and the trails to get up it are apart of the blessings. God has given you a mountain tonne blessed on at the top. Not everyone will make it to the top. Stay strong and go up your mountain.

  35. Therefore strong peoples will honor you; cities of ruthless nations will revere you.
    Isaiah 25:3

This is great. This is one of the reasons why we as Christians. Our job is to make his kingdom know to man kind, that the people that surround us say they serve a living and mighty.

By the words of mouths and by the world out testimony we will impact the world around us. The people will know him because they will see him in yes

  36. “For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭25:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God can do anything. He can take the biggest thing in our lives (city, person , job…) and knock it down smasashing it into so many pieces it can’t be remade. Only God can do some things, but we need to do what we can too. We shouldn’t give place to the devil by doing things that God has allowed to convict us.
