Isaiah 26

In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.

Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.

The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.

The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just.

Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.

With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

10 Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the Lord.

11 Lord, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.

12 Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.

13 O Lord our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.

14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.

15 Thou hast increased the nation, O Lord, thou hast increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.

16 Lord, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them.

17 Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O Lord.

18 We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.

19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

21 For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

  1. Verses 3-4 AMP “You will keep in [b]perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both [c]inclination and character], Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation]. “Trust [confidently] in the Lord forever [He is your fortress, your shield, your banner], For the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].” These verses make me want to sing the song “When I Think About The Lord”:

When I Think about the Lord,
How He saved me, how He raised me,
How He filled me, with the Holy Ghost.
How He healed me, to the uttermost.

When I Think about the Lord,
How He picked me up and turned me around,
How He placed my feet on solid ground

    It makes me wanna shout,
    Hallelujah,
    Thank you JESUS,
LORD, your worthy, of all the glory, and all the honor,
    And all the praise…

  2. 2 Open the gates, that the righteous Nation which keeps the truth may enter in. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You. Thank you Jesus.

  3. 13. O Lord our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of Thy name.

    14. They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.

Every other god is buried and dead
    Jesus died and rose again
    We lift Him higher

In Your name every knee shall bow
In Your name all men are saved
    We call upon the name

    Call His name
    Jesus!

    How majestic is Your name
Oh Lord, in all the earth
Your name is strong and mighty
Your name is glorious and great
    In You we’re saved

The name of Jesus higher than other names
King of all Kings, no other name like His
The name of Jesus higher than other names
Alpha and Omega, no other name like His

Your name is like sweet perfume
    Poured upon my soul
    In Your name we overcome
    In Your name there’s victory
    Your name is powerful

  4. 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:
“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.
    Jeremiah 17:7 NLT
I will put my trust in the Lord because he is GOD the Maker of heaven and Earth
I will trust in him because he save me

  5. Isaiah 26:3-4
    3) Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
    4) Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.”

  6. 1 In that day, everyone in the land of Judah will sing this song: Our city is strong! We are surrounded by the walls of God’s salvation. (NLT)

I was reminded of the song, “We are Champions.” And we really are as long as we’re submitted and obedient!
My mind always likes to paint a picture so for that last sentence of this verse I imagine the blood of Jesus surrounding us like a force, haha Wow God!!

  7. 2 Open the gates, that the righteous Nation which keeps the truth may enter in. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You. Thank you Jesus.

When our minds are stayed on Jesus we don’t have time to be consumed with all the other evil and wickedness in this world. When our minds are focused on Him. We can see this world as he sees it. He sees it as dying and going to hell and needing a savior. It’s our job to introduce this world to the savior of the world Jesus Christ.

  8. You will kee in perfect peace all who trust in you , all whose thoughts are fixed
On you! Trust in the Lord alway, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.
    Isaiah 26:3,4 NLT

The misperception of the peace that God offers to his children often is misunderstood as not having problems or challenges in life. There is a requirement in this verse, that says all whose thoughts are fixed on Him (Jesus)

  9. 3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.

8 Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.
9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

19 But your dead will live, their bodies will rise. You who dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy. Your dew is like the dew of the morning, the earth will give birth to her dead.

  10. 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

Peace is a precious commodity. Not every one lives in peace. Not every one has peace of mind. To achieve this state we must put our trust in the Lord. He created us and He is able to keep us on a daily basis.

You did not create me to worry
You did not create me to fear
But You created me to worship daily
So Ima leave it all right hereMy hands are raised because I surrender
Your will is what’s is best for me
I worship You because You’re Jehovah Jireh
I bow before the King of KingsNo more crying no more complaining
I believe Your word is true
Lord You promised never to leave me lonely
So this is what I’m going to doI will trust in You Lord
I will trust in You Lord
I will put my trust in You

  11. Isaiah 26
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

Perfect Peace that is Who God is . When our minds become overwhelming with the cares of life, the past failures, the present challenges and the unpredictable future,
Peace walks right in and says Past Promises, Present Gifts,Future Victories!
Yes keeping our mind stayed on the Prince of Peace changes our mind set.
He is Peace . Trusting in Him and Knowing He has all in His Hands.
Hiding His Word continually in our thoughts read it over and over like a love letter you never want to forget. You will find Peace.

  12. 20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
21 For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

We may very well be alive when God doles out judgement or punishment to the nations of this world who do not follow him, whose people do not serve him. And in these nations I believe there will be true Christians and I believe he will make a way to preserve many of these souls during this time. Earlier in the verse he says keep your mind stayed on him for peace, trust in him, seek him early, then wait upon him. We won’t be idle during this time or hiding under a rock.

  13. 4. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JE-HO’-VAH is everlasting strength: 5. For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

  14. 1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.

I just noticed that Chapter 25 started with praising God for faithfulness and truth and ends with him saying how God is going to lay down a strong fortress. Then this chapter begins with how they will praise God for the fortress he has bestowed upon them. May I continue to learn the power of Praise and it’s use in Jesus name.

  15. 8. Lord, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart’s desire is to glorify your name.

I think we can all say that at some point in our life we have all done something wrong and tried to cover it up. Only to live in a state of fear; “do they know it was me?” “are they going to find out?” Etc.

Is there is a lack of trust, that would make one lie and cover up the sin? Is it fear of the consequence? Is there a lack of love?

In vs, 8 the NLT states that we show our trust in the Lord through obedience. John 14:15 states “If you love me, keep my commandments”.

Through the stated scriptures above, we can see through lack of love and trust we would rather live for ourselves than for the God who gave it all for us.

Romans 2:6 He will judge everyone according to what they have done. 7 He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. 8 But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of wickedness.

How does anyone begin to trust someone? How can we trust God if we don’t know Him? Through prayer and reading The Word we grow an understanding of Who He Is. With that understanding comes love and trust, and a desire to Glorify His Name.

  16. VICTORIOUS FOCUS

3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

Like Nehemiah rebuilding the wall or Peter walking on the water. Whatever in life we may face is an opportunity for VICTORY. The Victory comes when we live with PEACE in the midst of a raging world.

GOD is our refuge and strength. As we TRUST HIM our PEACE is established.

    Think on these things.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

  17. iLove to Go Blog
19Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.
20Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

These great verses reveal to us the resurrection of the dead. Notice Isaiah prophesies to his own dead body to arise from sleep and to enter into the Chambers of the Lord. This is the great hope of the Church! We that know the Lord will one day raise us up from the dust of the earth!

  18. Our “path” that we take won’t always be smooth , an it’s not always to do gods will rather then ares . But we must remember we are never alone , HE is always there no matter where and no matter when . But that is why we must stay on his path and keep are minds and hearts set on Jesus . Remember even Wicked God but that doesn’t mean they do his will or what’s right . Remember Gods judgment is more important then the gifts . Let us all learn and seek righteousness

  19. Pregnant with REVIVAL

We are pregnant with revival but our labor and delivery is not going to be an easy one. Look around you, read the headlines, you can actually draw a line where the major natural incidents are happening.
Matt 24:And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all[a] these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences,[b] and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

So carry your babies to full term they need to grow in knowledge, wisdom, and in Faith which comes by hearing the word of God!!!

  20. 4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:
Yes have yours done at ease and just
KNOW where there is everlasting strength.
    KNOW HE answers prayers,
KNOW HE IS an on time God and those prayers WILL be answered
    KNOW HE IS LORD OVERALL

iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

  21. How many people claim to be waiting for God to make a difference in their life without even making an attempt to live a life that is pleasing into God? So many want to be associated with Christianity without having to make an effort to be changed. Yet the prophet declared: ‘Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.’ If we want God to do something in our life, the place to wait upon his will is within the way of his righteousness. We cannot walk his straight and narrow path effectively while we have a foot trotting along the edges of the world. He wants to see determination and commitment.

Notice the earnest desire expressed in the following verse: ‘With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.’ When we arise early in the morning and God is on our mind and yet we find ourselves still contemplating the things of God late into the evening, that is when God can truly do a great work in our life! And notice when we seek him with that kind of passion, even those in the world begin to take notice! That is when we can truly see his light begin to shine through us! That is our desire!

  22. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength: Jehovah is the LORD of all put 100% trust in him

  23. Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

It doesn’t say trust in the Lord sometimes le only in the good or only in the bad but forever!!! Trust in God no matter what after all He knows our needs and is always there for us. He doesn’t let us go through thru something if we can’t bear. Thank you Lord for your mighty strength because I can’t do nothing alone.

  24. 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

Trust in the plans He has for you! Trust that He knows your every need. Trust in His peace that passes all understanding. Trust in His faithfulness. Trust that He will give you strength when weakened. Trust that He loves you. Trust in the Lord, and believe that He has greater for you!

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  25. Isaiah 26:4 (English Amp) So trust in the Lord ( commit yourself to Him , lean on Him , hope confidently in him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock of Ages. The Lord is our Father of peace, Put your trust in the Lord for everything, Keep your mind on focus on the goodness of the Lord. He will give you peace through thick or thin , for He has good plans for you. Thank you Jesus for your peace.

  26. 17Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O Lord.
18 We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.

    Pregnant with revival

Somethings moving. Somethings changing. It feels like heaven on earth. Have you felt the draw o the spirit? I felt that tug in your spirit to do more and be more for God. This is the revival being grown inside of US. But now it is time for it to be birthed. It is time for revival NOW.

  27. 4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:
11 Lord, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.
12 Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.
15 Thou hast increased the nation, O Lord, thou hast increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.

    Amen

  28. 12 Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.

13 O Lord our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.

Only your name Jesus! You have peace with your name, and truth follows right behind. Lord I pray you would have your way in my life. Your name is the only name that is holy and worthy. Jesus your name has power and strength attached. In Jesus name!

  29. In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.

When we open up praise we are the strong city which appoints

  30. 2 Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.

3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

  31. As a pregnant woman about to give birth writhes and cries out in her pain, so were we in your presence, Lord.
Isaiah 26:17 – it’s out job to give birth to revival, to get pregnant of him. If anything is going to change, it’s going to take Holy Ghost field filled Jesus name believers.

To let the child live, Let the seed grow and produce much fruit!

  32. “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When we need perfect peace our minds must stay focused upon the Lord. It’s in Him that I put my trust. When I’m overhelmed lead me to the Rock, my Refuge and Fortress.

“But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1:2-3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

  33. In that day, everyone in the land of Judah will sing this song: Our city is strong! We are surrounded by the walls of God’s salvation. Open the gates to all who are righteous; allow the faithful to enter. You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.
    Isaiah 26:1‭-‬4 NLT

We are surrounded by the walls of God’s salvation. We are protected by His grace, mercy and Love. Thank You, Jesus, for being my Hope, my Savior.

  34. 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

To trust in God with something is to completely surrender it to Him and not worry about it anymore. We should rest in peace knowing that he has the best interest for us. He has thoughts of peace towards us and to give an expected end.

  35. The Lord continually offers us grace, but at times we still need his judgment. That many sound contradictory, but sometimes we take God’s grace for granted. Hardships and discipline catch our attention and cause us to change our sinful ways and grow in righteousness. Hebrews 12:11 explains “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” Judgment requires discipline and discipline that creates righteousness. When we look at it this way, judgment can be seen as a type of grace.
