Isaiah 27

In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine.

I the Lord do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.

Fury is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.

Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.

He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.

Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?

In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind.

By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.

10 Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.

11 When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.

12 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.

13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

  1. 8. No, but he exiled Israel to call her to account. She was exiled from her land as though blown away in a storm from the east.

    9. The LORD did this to purge Israel’s wickedness, to take away all her sin. As a result, all the pagan altars will be crushed to dust. No Asherah pole or pagan shrine will be left standing.

It may not always seem like it, but God always has a plan. He may have to exile you for a season to crush the idols in your life.

  2. No, but he exiled Israel to call her to account. She was exiled
From her land as though blown away in a storm from the east.
The Lord did this to purge Israel’s wickedness, to take away all her sin. As a result,

  3. Verse 5 MSG “Let that vine cling to me for safety, let it find a good and whole life with me, let it hold on for a good and whole life.” Same verse AMP “Or let him (Israel) cling to My strength and rely on My protection [My stronghold], Let him make peace with Me, Let him make peace with Me.” Same verse CEV “Yet if the vineyard depends on me for protection, it will become my friend and be at peace with me.” Same verse VOICE “But let My vineyard look to Me for protection and nurture; let it seek My peace; let it seek My peace.” As the saying goes….. Know Jesus, Know Peace…..No Jesus, No Peace.

  4. Yet the time will come when the Lord will gather them together like handpicked grain. One by one he will gather them—from the Euphrates River in the east to the Brook of Egypt in the west. In that day the great trumpet will sound. Many who were dying in exile in Assyria and Egypt will return to Jerusalem to worship the Lord on his holy mountain. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭27‬:‭12-13‬ NLT)

Wow…did ya’ll read what I just read… “In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.”

The question is “What day” because the scripture says, “In that day, the Lord …shall punish Leviathan”. The day that the Prophet is speaking about is found in the previous chapter. In the previous chapter, the Prophet spoke of the Rapture. So, right after the Rapture, the Lord is going to punish the dragon…Well, hello everyone, this is none other than the devil incarnated in the antichrist!

Wow, this Word is GREAT! We have Isaiah the Prophet giving us great vision into the EndTime!

  9. 1 In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

I hope I have front row seats to this one. We serve a mighty God and I’m so thankful to be on the winning side. You don’t need to turn to the back of the book to see who wins. For anyone that wants to argue the New Testament take them to Isaiah and just read a few scriptures this was all wrote 650-750 years before Christ and these revelations were already being revealed.
Go share Gods love and his word today!

iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

This verse prophesies Israel coming together to form their own nation thousands of years before it came to pass. We can be assured if God said something is going to happen IT WILL HAPPEN. God cannot lie and His word is true!

  11. REVIVAL NOW – THE PROMISED HARVEST

6 He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.

Israel shall blossom, bud and fill the earth with fruit. It is the day and hour of the church. GOD is fulfilling his WORD right now in our generation. NOW is the time for the Church to rise to the opportunity and BLOSSOM for the LORD and HIS Kingdom.

GOD will Bless HIS church to identify us like he identified Aaron.

Numbers 17:7 And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.
8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.
9 And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.
10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron’s rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.
11 And Moses did so: as the LORD commanded him, so did he.

Lets GO for GOD and share HIS GOspel to this world. GOD is capable of the BLOSSOM, BUD and FRUIT. Lets GO sow the SEED of the WORD of GOD.

  12. 2 In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine.
3 I the Lord do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.

While the Lord plans/promises punishment for satan he also promises to keep his people, the church. We serve a mighty God who watches over us night and day.

  13. 13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

That day is coming when all will be brought before the lord . We all must be be ready!

  14. It is interesting that Isaiah often follows a prophecy of judgment with a glimmer of hope of what is to come. God wanted Israel to know that his correction is for their good, that it was not sent or meant for their destruction. Notice the mindset of those he is speaking to however. ‘And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem.’ Those whose hearts were so set upon God, they were willing to be seen as outcasts, and even willing to perish in the midst of captivity rather than conform to the world around them. Those whose desire was to worship the Lord in the holiness of his temple, where his spirit abode amongst them. Our hearts should not be troubled when we’re not accepted by the world. We shouldn’t be willing to walk away even if they’re set upon our destruction. Just keep our eyes and our hearts fixed upon him. Let our vision be upon what God is doing within and amongst us rather than upon what the world is for clamouring about around us.

  15. 12 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

Just keep holding on. No matter how desperate the situation seems, Jesus always works it out for our good. We have to make sure that we stay focused upon Him and let Him lead and guide us,rather than trying to make it on our own. He never leaves us and will always see us through!

  16. it might look like he doesn’t even remember that we are even alive but God always has a plan and its great insurance to believe and trust that his plan is always good. so remember to praise him even when you feels you are at your worst.

  17. 13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

One day everyone will see the Jesus is Lord. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess.

  18. Isaiah 27

1 In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

The enemy will be defeated destroyed forever. No more will he deceive for his time will come to an end.
God has the church right in His hands. He already conquered death hell snd the grave when His blood was shed for us. The Lord will triumphantly destroy all evil.

  19. I Love To Worship The Lord
Leviathan is a symbolic monster also referred to here as that crooked serpent the dragon or satan

  20. 13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

  21. To make peace

5 Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.

It takes a stronger person to make peace than war. It is easy to fly off the handle when someone cuts you off in traffic but it takes strength to bless them. The troubles that we face in today’s world take His strength to conquer. There is no way you can overcome the world and its systems by yourself. You will have to lean on Gods strength to make it. We overcome by the blood of the lamb and our testimony. Without the blood our testimony is not enough.

    Isaiah 27:12‭-‬13 NLT

The time is now. We are living in the last days and many people are coming back home, coming back to the Lord. It’s time to make things right with Him and live a life that pleases him.

  23. JESUS KNOWS AND LOVES US FOR WHO WE’RE

2 In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine.
3 I the Lord do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.
4 Fury is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.
5 Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.

Like the farmer knows his vineyard, JESUS knows us, fill and refill us with the holy ghost, he protects us all the time. He heals us when we’re broken and strengthen us when we’re weakened. He is the one one who deserves our praises. Amen

  24. Josiah: 3 I the Lord do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.
When we have our eyes set on the Lord and live by His word the Lord will keep us. This verse stuck out to me and I related it to what is on our side. The Lord does keep us. He grows us spiritually and keeps us. Night and day we can call on Him. He watches for our soul and lets us get stronger from trials. So, let us GO FAITHFULLY and keep God’s word! LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD. PRAISE YE THE LORD!

  25. 6 He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.

Let the old man die out to allow a man to spring up and bring fruit to this world

  26. Yet the time will come when the Lord will gather them together like handpicked grain. One by one he will gather them—from the Euphrates River in the east to the Brook of Egypt in the west.
    Isaiah 27:12 NLT

Jesus, we praise You for the harvest. We praise You for Your promise.

  27. “In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭27:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Sword of the Lord is the Word of God. In the scripture references when the Sword of the Lord is used it’s engaged in battle over the enemies. Jesus used the word of God to resist Satan’s attack in Matt 4:4. The Word of God is an offensive weapon. Use it! “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
    ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”
    ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭19:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

  28. In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

6 He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.

7 Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?

8 In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind.

9 By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.

13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem PRAISE GOD

  29. 6 The time is coming when Jacob’s descendants will take root. Israel will bud and blossom and fill the whole earth with fruit! (NLT)

    It’s time to work!!

  30. “By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭27:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I’ve got to take down any false gods or things I worship so that God can take his rightful place. I must again–REBUILD the altar in my life so I can light God higher and get my focus off the other things of life.

  31. 9 By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.

If God watches over the vineyard by watering and guarding it, and if anything was to come against it he will go against them and set them on fire. This same way he even protects us from ourselves. He allows certain events to take place to strengthen us and grow us. Things we don’t need he purges or prunes, though it’s a painful process it is to make us stronger.

  32. 9 By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.

May my alter always be as chalkstones to be a message to me. And no groves or idols be be my life, but be focused on him. That the stones of my alter be in good repair.
