Isaiah 33

Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.

O Lord, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered.

And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.

The Lord is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.

And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is his treasure.

Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.

The highways lie waste, the wayfaring man ceaseth: he hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth no man.

The earth mourneth and languisheth: Lebanon is ashamed and hewn down: Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel shake off their fruits.

10 Now will I rise, saith the Lord; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.

11 Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you.

12 And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.

13 Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.

14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;

16 He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

17 Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.

18 Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?

19 Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst not understand.

20 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.

21 But there the glorious Lord will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.

22 For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us.

23 Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey.

24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.

20 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.

Now we know that Jerusalem was destroyed in 70AD by the Roman Government. So, this let’s us know very quickly that the Word is speaking of something more than just the city of Zion. The verse is talking about the True Church! Jerusalem is mother of us all and it is in the heavens above. The gates of hell shall not prevail against the Kingdom of God!

  8. 2 O Lord, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

Trust in the Lord for your strength. Wait on his will.

  9. In that day he will be your sure foundation, providing a rich store of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the Lord will be your treasure.
    Isaiah 33:6 NLT

  10. Isaiah 33:22

Heb. 12:23, “… and to God the Judge of all,…”
James 4:12, “There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy:…”
Ps. 10:16, “The Lord is King for ever and ever:…”

JESUS today YOU will SAVE me!

  11. The Lord will be our Mighty One. He will be like a wide river of protection that no enemy can cross, that no enemy ship can sail upon. For the Lord is our judge, our lawgiver, and our king. He will care for us and save us. The enemies’ sails hang loose on broken masts with useless tackle. Their treasure will be divided by the people of God. Even the lame will take their share! The people of Israel will no longer say, “We are sick and helpless,” for the Lord will forgive their sins.
    Isaiah 33:21‭-‬24 NLT

  12. I Love To Worship The Lord
Gods judgment is pictured as a devouring fire which is so awesome that only the righteous will be spared. The King in his beauty is Christ Himself and the description of the magnitude of His Kingdom is remintscent of the New Jersualem in Revelation

  13. 2 O Lord, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

Im so grateful for the merciful and powerful savior mu God is. My confidence is in him and it is confronting in knowing that he will answer my needs and wants. He is a untime God yes he is!!!

  14. 2 O Lord, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

Thank You Jesus for your grace and salvation – you have truly been so good to me! JESUS today YOU will SAVE me!

  15. 2 O Lord, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

Thankful that His mercies are made new every morning and that in times of distress, He is there, He is my salvation!

  16. MSG 33:15-16 The answer’s simple:
    Live right,
    speak the truth,
    despise exploitation,
    refuse bribes,
    reject violence,
    avoid evil amusements.
This is how you raise your standard of living!
A safe and stable way to live.
A nourishing, satisfying way to live.

The answers to life can be found between the pages of Genesis to Revelation. When we pray “give us this day our daily bread” we must be willing to pick up the bread and partake of it. His words are true, stable and cannot lie. If we will follow the road maps, we will find everlasting life.

  17. GO TO CHURCH

People everywhere are searching for answers to life challenges and world problems. As Apostolic, Born Again, New Testament, Water Baptized in JESUS name, Holy Ghost filled, Righteous thinking, Holy living believers we are set apart by GOD to BE Zion. GOD has made the church to BE the solution to the world and its problem.

Through the Blood of JESUS we teach the salvation of JESUS through Repentance, Water Baptism by Immersion in the name of JESUS and the outpouring of the Holy Ghost. We are what the world is looking for as the end of time quickly approaches we will be more defined and become more separate from this world and its systems.

We are never more like JESUS than we are HOLY (set apart) for HIS service.

The world will Look to Zion (The Church). Will they see JESUS through me?

    iPraise
    iPray

  18. “The Lord is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.

And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is his treasure.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭33:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I will exalt thee for God is worthy to be praised.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge
So the Lord is my stability
Wisdom and knowledge is the stability!
The fear of the Lord is his TREASURE
which awaits you at the end of this long straight and narrow path
iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

  19. And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of the times, and strength of salvation. The fear of the Lord is his treasure. Thank you Jesus.

  20. We need to remember in everything that we do, in everything we purpose in our heart, in every work we desire to establish that ‘The Lord is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness. And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is his treasure.’ Regardless of what we manage to achieve, he is the one that dwelleth on high… it is through him that we are capable of accomplishing anything. It is his wisdom and knowledge that provides the very stability of our times… and what he treasures is the reverence of a people whose lives are dedicated unto him!

Think about what is spoken here… he didn’t just say the stability for our life but the stability of our times… and it is given through his judgment and righteousness. Those are what provide the strength of our salvation. Not the thoughts of men, but the judgment of God. Not what man says is right today that may change tomorrow, but the pureness of the righteousness of God. Those are what provide his blessings within ourselves and our lives and as those blessings flow through his people, they provide a greater blessing and stability to those around us. That is the God that we serve! His vision and perspective are much greater than the immediacy of the moment and his hand provides for the larger needs around us as well. God is great and greatly to be praised!

  21. Isaiah 33:6 NLT
[6] In that day he will be your sure foundation, providing a rich store of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the LORD will be your treasure.

  22. “Instead, you will see Zion as a place of holy festivals. You will see Jerusalem, a city quiet and secure. It will be like a tent whose ropes are taut and whose stakes are firmly fixed. The Lord will be our Mighty One. He will be like a wide river of protection that no enemy can cross, that no enemy ship can sail upon. For the Lord is our judge, our lawgiver, and our king. He will care for us and save us.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭33:20-22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  23. Isaiah 33:22 (English Amp) For the Lord is our Judge, the Lord is our King; He will save us. ( James 4:12 ) One only is the Lawgiver and Judge Who is able to save and to destroy [ One Who has the absolute power of life and death]. ( BUT You) Who are you that ( you presume to ) pass judgment on your neighbor? . For today Lord you will save me.

  24. God provides for his people so their is no need to fear. When you truly trust in God, you don’t worry about what tomorrow brings. God will take you further than you thought was imaginable.

  25. 22 For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us.

It’s that simple. We need to keep this in our heart, the Lord is or judge, or lawgiver, out King and he will save us. Just knowing that will settle any matter we may have. Or comfort and peace… Strong tower and refuge

  26. Isaiah 33:24 And the inhabitant shall not say, Iam sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.

Isaiah says that in that day, ” NO one living in Zion will say, ‘I am ill’ “. You will never have to watch someone you love go through the intense pain and suffering that comes from some incurable disease etc.

Michah 7:18,19 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

  27. 21 But there the glorious Lord will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.

The Lord is our hope and our salvation. We are his people his church whom he loves. It up to us yo live a separate sanctified life and show God’s love to a hurting world that is in great need of Him. We are the bridge a channel of blessing from which others can find the way to Jesus.

  28. “Your eyes will see the King in His beauty; They will see the land that is very far off.

(For the LORD is our Judge, The LORD is our Lawgiver, The LORD is our King; He will save us);”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭33:17, 22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

    Creation displays Your beauty
    Your power and Your strength
The earth is filled with Your Glory
    Our God and our King

Come and rise on our worship
    Ride on wings of praise
There is no one who’s like You
    Our God and our King
    Our God and our King
    Our God and our King
    Our God and our King

  29. You, Lord, are above all others, and you live in the heavens. You have brought justice and fairness to Jerusalem;(Isaiah 33:5 CEV)

What a mighty God we serve, there’s no one that is greater or stronger then him. There’s no one that stand beside him, for he stands alone and there’s no one that is like him. He is above all that he created and he rules all nations. Heaven is his throne and earth is his foot stool. He is a loving and faithfully righteous God. He is just and fair in his judgment, allowing his people opportunities to repent. He forgives sin and sets the captives free, so that they may leave darkness and live in his marvelous light.

  30. 14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

In this context the consuming fire and everlasting burning refer to God and not so much hell. When God led the Isrealites through the desert, his glory looked like a consuming fire (Ex 24:17). Hebrews 12:29 claims that “God is a consuming fire” God’s presence is an all consuming fire that destroys the sinner and purifies the saint. Without the security of God’s salvation, sinners tremble in the fires presence. For them it means judgment and hopeless eternity. But we can look forward to being tested and purified, knowing the result will be their purification, that they will “come forth as gold” (Job 23:10).

  31. 10 Now will I rise, saith the Lord; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.

This scripture alone reminds me of how God shows up in our storms in trials. When we think we no longer have the strength or feel like all is about to fall apart, God reveals Himself.

  32. 15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
16 He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
17 Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.

    Amen.

  33. 13 Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.

I will recognize the lord as the Almighty one! The king of kings the Aplha and Omega. The lord has all power and authority. It’s so reassuring that I have victory no matter what on my side and his name is Jesus!

  34. 5. The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zi’-on with judgment and righteousness. 6. And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure. JESUS YOU ARE THE LIFTER OF MY HEAD !!!!

  35. 1 Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.

God is not mocked you reap what you sow. Both good and evil. May I sow good and not evil
