Isaiah 35

The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.

Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:

10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

  1. This chapter in the NIV is captioned “Joy of the Redeemed” and it reminded me of the song “Say So”:

To be salt and light in the world, in the world
To be salt and light in the world

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so
Say so, say so, say so, say so

Verses 3-5 NIV “Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.” Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped.” My Dad just had surgery on his shoulder and he told me yesterday “I don’t know what they did to my shoulder; but, my knees feel great”. I thought about this when I read these verses. When we simply “say so”, the Lord begins to move, strengthen, steady the way, open and unstop as God changes everything.

  2. The Salvation of the Lord
    Isaiah 35:4-10
Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Psalm 145:19 He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him : he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

  3. With this news, strengthen those who have tired hands, and encourage those who have weak knees. Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.” And when he comes, he will open the eyes of the blind and unplug the ears of the deaf. The lame will leap like a deer, and those who cannot speak will sing for joy! Springs will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams will water the wasteland. And a great road will go through that once deserted land. It will be named the Highway of Holiness. Evil-minded people will never travel on it. It will be only for those who walk in God’s ways; fools will never walk there. Lions will not lurk along its course, nor any other ferocious beasts. There will be no other dangers. Only the redeemed will walk on it.
    Isaiah 35:3‭-‬6‭, ‬8‭-‬9 NLT
The kind remind me of a song every thing change when your kingdom let your kingdom come
    My GOD is my heal
    My strong tower my strength
    My counselor
    My protector
    My way Maker
Everything changed when GOD is here blind eye are open
    Deaf ear are open

8 And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about it.

  6. 10 Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness. (NLT)

NTYC 2 years ago, one of my dear friends left singing 3 words over and over: “I am Redeemed!” And was telling everyone who crossed her path. I can only imagine the crown of joy that was upon her. We are all redeemed; I am redeemed! And this is the day that the Lord has made so I will choose to rejoice and be glad in it!

  7. 8 And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it.

  10. We have so many prophecies of the saviour in the old testament and each of them provide insight into the will and plan of God. This one is familiar and readily recognized in the new testament. ‘Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing…’ Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost and fulfilled many an old testament prophecy so Israel would recognize their Messiah, and yet sadly they did not. So how can we assure ourselves that we do not make the same mistake in our walk?

Notice where the prophecy leads: ‘And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.’ He is preparing his people for a holy walk in his perfect will. It is not enough just to do that which is right, we need that additional consecration and separation in our life. Yes, it is for our strength, but it also provides clarity in his voice and direction. When we’re continually seeking his will, when we’re continually setting ourselves apart from anything that would distract us in this world, when we’re dedicated to his service, we know his voice!

When he calls his saints to meet him in the sky, the unclean shall not pass over. That is spoken with the certainty of God’s word, so are those things we tend to cling to really worth it? If we have the mindset that we’re just sojourners in the world, just passing through and doing all we can on the way to heaven, if we can put all else aside and truly love a holy life before God, his word says that even a fool shall not err in that path. Just as Paul said, the simplicity that is in Christ! It is not about our intellect or ability, it is about the desire of our heart: so be ye holy, for I am holy!

  11. With this news, strengthen those who have tired hands, and encourage
those who have weak knees. Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong and
do no fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies He is coming
to save you” Isaiah 35:3,4 NLT

  12. 4 say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”
10 and those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Every evil flees at the name of my father! Prodigals will came with joy and gladness as they are revealed to the revelation of you, God! Thank you Jesus! You set us on a straight path to you! let us share with everyone how awesome you are God and what miracles, blessings, and revival is to come! I am redeemed!

  13. Isaiah 35:3-4 (NLT)
    3) With this news, strengthen those who have tired hands, and encourage those who have weak knees.
    4) Say to those with fearful hears, “Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.”

GO Strengthen and GO Encourage people.

  14. iLove to Go Blog
1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.

Wow, you could use this for an analogy concerning people as well. No matter how dry and busted up a person might be, God can do a miracle and revive your spirit from the dust of the earth. Lord, Let your later rain fill the earth.

  15. 4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you
8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

What a glorious day when the God will come and save us. Verse 8 describes a highway of holiness that the ransomed shall walk. Bro Morgan spoke this morning and said live for God hard -with all your might, not just getting by, and this day, the day of judgement will be easy.

  16. 5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

    My God got it Lord!
I’m ready for these miracles signs and wonders to rain down amongst us. If everyone could just continue to believe we will begin to see these things!
We’re already beginning to see all these things!

iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

  17. Isaiah 35

3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Judea was prosperous in the days of Hezekiah, but the kingdom of Christ is the great subject intended. Converting grace makes the soul that was a wilderness, to rejoice with joy and singing, and to blossom abundantly. The feeble and faint-hearted are encouraged. This is the design of the gospel. Fear is weakening; the more we strive against it, the stronger we are, both for doing and suffering; and he that says to us, Be strong, has laid help for us upon One who is mighty. Assurance is given of the approach of Messiah, to take vengeance on the powers of darkness, to recompense with abundant comforts those that mourn in Zion; He will come and save. He will come again at the end of time, to punish those who have troubled his people; and to give those who were troubled such rest as will be a full reward for all their troubles.

  18. 3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

Aside from dealing with sin, the word of God deals with the church more in how we are to deal with each other.we are the body of Christ and called to strengthen and edify one another in every need. We are a family. Backbiting, gossiping, tearing one another down…there is no room for it nor do we have time to do that. Let’s get our mind on one thing: souls

  19. 4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

With God all things are possible! When we have the faith to speak out and praise God for what He is able to do, that is when we see the mighty signs and wonders of healings! It doesn’t stop there when we have that much faith literally God can use us, the POFW to do mighty things for His kingdom! God is awesome! Let us GO have faith to reach the lost in this region! Praise the Lord for His mighty works! For His excellent greatness!

  20. Strengthen ye the weak hands and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, be strong fear not, behold, your God will come with a vengeance, even God with a recompense, He will come and save you. God is my healer and my saviour

  21. 4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

God in control , trust him and place your confidence in him. He doesnt proform halfway done miracles and he is always on time!

  22. 3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

There is no reason to fear Jerusalem is near! We must be strong and not fearful because nothing great has ever been accomplished by fear. God will save us!

  23. “Cheer up! Don’t be afraid. Your God is coming to punish your enemies. God will take revenge on them and rescue you.”(Isaiah 35:4 CEV)

There’s no need to worry or be afriad about anything because the Lord is on our side. He’s our Rock and strong tower. If we put our trust in him and stir our faith with the word of God will move mightily. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 KJV). God has heard our cry and our prayers he has seen what we are going through he will come and take revenge on those that treated us bad and he will rescue us.

  24. 4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2Tim 1:7). When it feels like the weight of the world is trying to crush us, the enemy cannot stand against us. Resisting him and the desire to give into fear and depression we rise with his righteousness. He will always avenge his children when the enemy strikes for he lifts up a standard against him. No weapon formed against us can harm us. In the end we are victorious.

    Isaiah 35:4‭-‬6 NLT

    How precious is my King.

  26. 4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Be encouraged in the Lord. Fear has no place in God’s Kingdom. Fear and doubt oppose the Spirit of God. Trust in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.

  27. 4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

I believe there is nothing wrong with realistically acknowledging and trying to deal with the problems of life. To ignore danger is foolish, but it is also wrong, as well as unhealthy, to be paralyzed by fear and worry. It is worry and fear that hold us back from a deeper relationship with God. It is not the actual problems of life. If we can learn to release worry and fear to God, He can release us from fear or anxiety, and free us to deal realistically with the needs and welfare of others and of ourselves.

  28. Yes, there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy! The deserts will become as green as the mountains of Lebanon, as lovely as Mount Carmel or the plain of Sharon. There the Lord will display his glory, the splendor of our God. With this news, strengthen those who have tired hands, and encourage those who have weak knees.
    Isaiah 35:2‭-‬3 NLT

With this news… the Gospel is the good news of salvation. There is no one else but Jesus who saves. With this message we can go to those that are weak and hurting and let them know the Lord is coming. The Lord can come to their lives now as they repent and baptized and filled. The Way for the their lives, the Truth and Life can be theirs..

  29. Isaiah 35: 4 (English Amp) Say to those who are fearful and hasty heart,Be strong, fear not! Behold your God will come with vengeance ; with the recompense of God He will come and save you. He will open blind eyes, the ears of the deaf shall be unstoppable. God is the miracle worker for our lives. There no FEAR in the kingdom of God. God did not give us fear. He will protect from our enemies. Just put your trust in him and he will give you want your heart desires.

  30. I am forever saved! God’s mercy and grace is forever and is mighty. I don’t deserve forgiveness nor do I deserve Jesus’ mercy, but… I receive it with gladness and thanksgiving! My God has been so good and great, I will worship and praise him

4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

  31. 3. Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. 4. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. HALLELUJAH !!!!

  32. 4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

God is our protector and will keep our enemy away from us. I love you Jesus.

  33. 1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

I am claiming this scripture that the desert and solitarily place shall blossom a rose with many Wells of living waters that flow ever inward and outward.
