Isaiah 42

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

10 Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.

11 Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.

12 Let them give glory unto the Lord, and declare his praise in the islands.

13 The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.

14 I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.

15 I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.

16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

17 They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.

18 Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.

19 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the Lord‘s servant?

20 Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.

21 The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.

23 Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?

24 Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the Lord, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.

25 Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.

  1. Verse 16 CEV “I will lead the blind on roads they have never known; I will guide them on paths they have never traveled. Their road is dark and rough, but I will give light to keep them from stumbling. This is my solemn promise.”

    John 8:12 in the CEV is captioned “Jesus Is the Light for the World”:

    “Once again Jesus spoke to the people. This time he said, “I am the light for the world! Follow me, and you won’t be walking in the dark. You will have the light that gives life.”

  2. 9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

    What a promise! This is why it is important that we walk in the spirit, exercise patience, and pray persistently. It is God’s desire to declare and decree things into our lives before they come to pass He reveals them to us.

    Ihave always believed that He does this to first enlarge us spiritually to be able to sustain ourselves in that new place. Then it is manifested in the physical. If you can handle it in the spirit you can handle it in the natural.

    Where we go wrong is we do not stay patient and humble we want it now. You may way it but you can’t handle it. So, it is better to Go Pray! Pray it to pass. For in the process of prayer stumbling blocks will be reviled to you to pray against. Personal Attitudes that could damage you or destroy your integrity in the new places will be revealed for you to take authority over.

    So, In the middle of transition the best places to be is on your knees.

  3. GO MINISTER

    6 I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
    7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

    The LORD GOD of Heaven gives the prophetic commission of MINISTRY through the mouth of the prophet. Speaking of the Messiah to come and HIS church, the LORD promises HIS unlimited power and provision to the earth to GO MINISTER.

    A heartfelt thanks to all that have chosen to serve the Kingdom of GOD through the church. We are making a difference in the lives of many for the name of JESUS.

    GOD desires to give HIS people a NEW SONG. A fresh VISION, a powerful PRAISE, a deep COMMITMENT.

    Lets GO MINISTER today, to the hurting, broken and needy.

  4. 6 I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
    7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

  5. 1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
    2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

    We are the Lord’s chosen elect. Just knowing that our God and King has chosen us for this time in this place should be enough motivation to get ourselves in here and reaching the lost

  6. 3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

    His promises are to restore,heal,mend the brokenness of people.
    People everywhere are in need of His touch.
    The world has taken hold but we the church must take back what the enemy has tried to steal. We are mighty in His power and we must go and be bold and lead them back. We must reach those also who have never heard of this truth they are waiting to be delivered from the prison of this world.

    22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.

    23 Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?

    Lord let me hear ,let me see,let me touch,let me reflect You.

  7. He will not shout or raise his voice in public. God, the Lord , created the heavens and stretched them out. He created the earth and everything in it. He gives breath to everyone, life to everyone who walks the earth. And it is he who says, You will open the eyes of the blind. You will free the captives from prison, releasing those who sit in dark dungeons. “I am the Lord ; that is my name! I will not give my glory to anyone else, nor share my praise with carved idols.
    Isaiah 42:2‭, ‬5‭-‬5‭, ‬7‭-‬8 NLT
    THE LORD is the Maker of the heavens and Earth he rules over everything there none besides him and none like JESUS is his name

  8. 8 I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

    We was created to praise the Lord, but not to share in or take His glory. Too many times the Lord moves and does miraculous things and we begin to take the praise, like we did them. We are the instruments that He uses, when really He could do it without us. The blind could just one day wake up and see if He wanted it that way. But He chooses to work through His people. Let’s be careful to not think more of ourselves than we ought so that He truly gets all the the praise and glory.

  9. He won’t quit or give up until he brings justice everywhere on earth, and people in foreign nations long for his teaching.(Isaiah 42:4 CEV)

    SOLD OUT FOR JESUS !!!!

    We must have an attitude to be SOLD OUT for King Jesus. God works through those who are sold-out, completely to his will and purposes. We must not have an attitude of quiting or giving up in our vocabularies but we must find that inner fire that lives within us that tells us that we aren’t alone through all we go through but that the almighty God of the universe is by our side and that he is the one and only one true God, there’s no one that stands beside him he stands alone with all power in his righteous right hand. So we need to have our minds and our hearts made up and go out and bring justice forth to all and everywhere on earth and to the foreign nations. The sword of God and the truth of his word is on our side.

  10. 9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

    Just because HE tells us of said things before they spring up, doesn’t mean that HE has to give an explanation of the why’s and why nots………. and to ask, is to question who HE IS……..DO I REALLY TRUST IN THE LORD………..

  11. 6 I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

    7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

    Way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness.
    Scripture says it all ladies and gentlemen.
    I can’t begin to express how happy I am to be a living miracle. Saved by Grace, loved by God. In a spiritual since my Blind eyes were open, my chains were broken. He showed me a light and lead me out of darkness. God is working in those loved lost ones lives you all been praying for. Don’t stop praying because everyday someone’s heart is being touched by Jesus. I know this because I can at least say my heart is being touched by Jesus daily. If my heart is being touched then I know he’s touching someone else’s!
    iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

  12. We sing that song that declares sing unto the Lord a new song and we rejoice! We look upon it as believers and lift up the name of him that we exalt. Notice though the perspective of the prophet: ‘Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.’ He didn’t limit God’s praise in a new song to those currently in the church. God is looking for his praise to be heard from the ends of the Earth. As those believers arrive, every song we sing is new unto them and they sing unto the Lord a new song with joy!

    In fact, ‘Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains. Let them give glory unto the Lord, and declare his praise in the islands.’ That may seem strange. How is God’s praise going to be heard in the wilderness? How is it going to be heard from the lips of the descendents of Ishmael… those who seek our destruction. How it is going to be heard from the high places of idolatry in this world? It’s going to happen when those upon his rock go forth unto all the earth as he commanded!

    That joy from within that exhibits our love to him in the singing of a new song is not meant to be hoarded amongst ourselves. It is not limited to those who already know God today, nor is it meant to be isolated to the holy of holies. Let his praise be heard and let it be contagious! Repent of our limited perspective and allow God to bring those we never thought to see into the house of God that they may join us in a new song of praise unto God! Let God receive the glory that is due his name! Let his people not only praise him, let us lift him up with our very lives that he could draw all men unto himself and receive their praises! Let us sing unto the Lord a new song!

  13. 16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not, I will lead them in paths that they have not known, I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

  14. iLove to Go Blog
    Isaiah 42:13 KJV The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.

    I’ve heard it said, “God ain’t deaf, you don’t have to holler…” but according to this scripture, God himself hollers. “he shall cry, yea, roar!” So, “boom” to all you who want us to be hush hush in the church.

  15. 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

    The lord is our strength and deliver! The lord isn’t perfect nor all his ways! Whenever we are bound by Chains, he is a chain breaker and miracle worker.

  16. 6 I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
    7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

    He has called us all to serve him. We are all different yet have the same goal and purpose. That is to serve God with all our hearts and being. He is the rock on which I stand. He is my all my everything. He is my God

  17. 6 I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

    7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

    He is my all my everything. We serve because he is good. He has set us apart from this world to serve him. We are to be a conduit of his light to this world. As servants of the most High God, and filled with his Spirit. We are called to be different , and have the power to do miricales. So let’s GO and serve him.

  18. 6 I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

    7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

  19. 8 I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

    I was created to make his praise glorius!

  20. Hannah: “8 I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” There is none beside the Lord and he is my God. I will not ever serve another God because there is none beside him. He is the One and only true God! Always continue to serve the Lord and reach out to those around you. It is my desire to always continue to serve him and never to place anything above or below him!

  21. Josiah: 8 I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
    The praise is the Lord’s. Glory is due to the Lord. In fact the last verse of Psalms says”Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” We have the honor to be able to praise the Lord and we should not take it lightly. God is the creator of the heavens and the earth. So, let us GO PRAISE the Lord with our whole heart!

  22. 1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

    Here God is speaking to His beloved. Someone that he loves with all His heart, someone that he has a relationship with. He even says He put his spirit in him. It reminds me of the Holy Ghost. It was prophesied thousands of years before Jesus was ever born and it lives in us today!

  23. “”I am the Lord. That is my name! I will not let any other god share my glory. I will not let statues of gods share my praise.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭42:8‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

    There’s no god like our God. And nothing can compare to Him. He deserves all the glory and praise.

  24. Isaiah 42

    1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

    2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

    3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

    4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

    This prophecy was fulfilled in Christ, Matthew 12:17. Let our souls rely on him, and rejoice in him; then, for his sake, the Father will be well-pleased with us. The Holy Spirit not only came, but rested upon him, and without measure. He patiently bore the contradiction of sinners. His kingdom is spiritual; he was not to appear with earthly honours. He is tender of those oppressed with doubts and fears, as a bruised reed; those who are as smoking flax, as the wick of a lamp newly lighted, which is ready to go out again. He will not despise them, nor lay upon them more work or more suffering than they can bear. By a long course of miracles and his resurrection, he fully showed the truth of his holy religion. By the power of his gospel and grace he fixes principles in the minds of men, which tend to make them wise and just. The most distant nations wait for his law, wait for his gospel, and shall welcome it. If we would make our calling and election sure, and have the Father delight over us for good, we must behold, hear, believe in, and obey Christ.

  25. 8 I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

    There is only one God and His name is Jesus!

  26. 6 “I, the Lord, have called you to demonstrate my righteousness. I will take you by the hand and guard you, and I will give you to my people, Israel, as a symbol of my covenant with them. And you will be a light to guide the nations.
    7 You will open the eyes of the blind. You will free the captives from prison, releasing those who sit in dark dungeons. (NLT)

    We are called to do the Lord’s work! Let’s GO!

  27. 8 I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
    9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
    10 Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.

  28. 8 I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

    If a husband sees another man flirting with his wife, he is right to be jealous, for only he has the right to flirt with his wife. This type of jealousy is not sinful. Rather, it is appropriate. Being jealous for something that God declares to belong to you is ok. Jealousy is a sin when it is a desire for something that does not belong to you. Worship, praise, honor, and adoration belong to God alone, for only He is truly worthy of it. Therefore, God is rightly jealous when worship, praise, honor, or adoration is given to idols.

  29. 1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

    This servant is Jesus (Mt 12:15-21), Savior of the Jews, but also a “light for the Gentiles” (vs 6). When John baptized Jesus, the Father’s voice from heaven echoes the words in Isaiah: “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” (Mt 3:17). As children of God, we all hope to hear these words from our heavenly Father. It’s the highest praise possible ..for example: These are my children I love them and with them I am well pleased.

  30. Let the whole world glorify the Lord ; let it sing his praise. The Lord will march forth like a mighty hero; he will come out like a warrior, full of fury. He will shout his battle cry and crush all his enemies.
    Isaiah 42:12‭-‬13 NLT

    Let it sound let it be loud the praise unto our Lord Jesus. Sing his praise and watch him be a mighty warrior to save to heal to destroy enemies… it all starts with praise. Who do you trust on? The greatness of your problem and the mighty One of Israel the Lord of Hosts King Jesus. He is our present help in time of trouble. Praise Him in advance, praise him for who He is. Just praise Him

  31. 10. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. 11. Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Ke’-dar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains. 12. Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands. Praise ye the LORD !!!!

  32. 2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

    3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

    4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

    My God did not cry nor lift up or cause his voice to be heard in the streets. My world does not need a rally for this Ill or that, so may I not lift my voice in the streets. But bring in Jesus so he can heal or fix all the bruised and those smoking and just about to go out. And never get discounted or fail. What would you do if you knew you would not fail? For he will not fail. May I keep that in my heart.
