Isaiah 56

Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the Lord, speak, saying, The Lord hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;

Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

The Lord God, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.

10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

12 Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

  1. 1 Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

  2. 6 “I will also bless the foreigners who commit themselves to the Lord, who serve him and love his name, who worship him and do not desecrate the Sabbath day of rest, and who hold fast to my covenant.
7 I will bring them to my holy mountain of Jerusalem and will fill them with joy in my house of prayer. I will accept their burnt offerings and sacrifices, because my Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations. (NLT)

Bro. Cornwell would always tell us, “There is room in the house of God for everybody!” What a glorious day it will be to see tongues of every nation declaring the Name of Jesus and serving Him!

  3. MSG 1-2 “Guard my common good:
Do what’s right and do it in the right way,
For salvation is just around the corner,
my setting-things-right is about to go into action.
How blessed are you who enter into these things,
you men and women who embrace them,
Who keep Sabbath and don’t defile it,
who watch your step and don’t do anything evil!

KJV – 1 Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

My prayers lately have been God if there is unrighteousness in me, reveal it that I can reflect “your” righteousness. Our carnality is as filthy rags in God’s eyes. We must lay aside the things that “pollute” our spirit and pick up His righteousness, His attitude, His attributes so that what people see in us is a good reflection of His Spirit that abides in us.

  4. 11 Like greedy dogs, they are never satisfied. They are ignorant shepherds,
all following their own path and intent on personal gain.

What a mighty statement! I can understand people doing this at their job, trying to get ahead of others, trying to better themselves. But sadly, this occurs in church also. Some want a position so they can be heard and seen. If one would humble themselves and not let pride come in, all will be given to them. God will bless you in due time.

  5. GO TO CHURCH AND PRAY

7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

The CHURCH of JESUS is the Body of JESUS. The CHURCH is the place where JESUS gathers HIS people to give us instructions, encouragement, plans and blessings. JESUS is gathering in these last days, just as HE did in Noahs day, when the ark was constructed for GOD.

In HIS test run, JESUS gathered animals by 2. The animals that responded and found their way to the house of GOD (Ark) were saved, all others drowned in the flood. We are wise to take counsel and lesson from this illustration. However, this time it will not be a flood but a float. The CHURCH of JESUS will be called out of the earth and gravity as we know will no longer keep us down.

When we consider the preparation that Noah invested in the ark prior to the flood, we too should make preparation for the coming of JESUS for HIS CHURCH. We prepare ourselves through PRAYER and the WORD of GOD. JESUS gave us the CHURCH to prepare us for HIS coming. However, if we do not utilize the opportunity that JESUS has given us then we are robbing ourselves of the opportunity to know HIM and prepare ourselves, our families and others for the soon coming of JESUS.

Lets purpose in our hearts to GO TO CHURCH AND PRAY.

Let every nation rise to praise and glorify You
Let every tongue confess that You are Lord
Let every nation rise to praise and glorify You
Let every tongue confess that You are Lord

From the north, to the south, to the east, to the west
Let the kingdom of God be established
Let every nation rise, Let every nation rise

  7. Isaiah 56:1 (English Amp) Thus Says the Lord; Keep justice, Do and us righteousness ( conformity to the will of God which brings salvation) , for My salvation is soon to come and My righteousness ( My rightness and justice) to be revealed. [ Isaiah,62:1] For Zion” s sake will not rest until her imputed righteousness and her salvation radiates as does a burning torch. Lord forgive me, Cleanse my heart out, Take away any carnal thing in my body . I want to do Your will and share my testimony with others. And to do Your will, This is My Prayer today.

  8. “I will also bless the foreigners who commit themselves to the Lord , who serve him and love his name, who worship him and do not desecrate the Sabbath day of rest, and who hold fast to my covenant.
    Isaiah 56:6 NLT

The Lord bless those who follow his words and keep his Commandments and who love him with all their heart and soul and mine

  9. Isaiah 56 The Message
Salvation Is Just Around the Corner
    56 1-3 God’s Message:

    “Guard my common good:
Do what’s right and do it in the right way,
For salvation is just around the corner,
my setting-things-right is about to go into action.
How blessed are you who enter into these things,
you men and women who embrace them,
Who keep Sabbath and don’t defile it,
who watch your step and don’t do anything evil!
Make sure no outsider who now follows God
ever has occasion to say, ‘God put me in second-class.
    I don’t really belong.’
And make sure no physically mutilated person
is ever made to think, ‘I’m damaged goods.
    I don’t really belong.’”

There is A Place For Everyone It’s About a to Take Place
Jesus came as the ultimate sacrifice for everyone.
No matter what walk of life you come from. No matter your weaknesses or your strength Jesus Christ came to save you. We must keep Him in First Place of our life.
He is setting the stage for His return. So we must keep ourselves in submission to His will and not ours. You do matter you do brlong. There is a place for you in the body. Stay close guard your hearts guard your minds for He is soon to return. Oh how I want to be ready and hiw much I want friends ,family, and those I have never yet met to be saved. In Jesus Name

  10. “And as for the outsiders who now follow me, working for me, loving my name, and wanting to be my servants— All who keep Sabbath and don’t defile it, holding fast to my covenant— I’ll bring them to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. They’ll be welcome to worship the same as the ‘insiders,’ to bring burnt offerings and sacrifices to my altar. Oh yes, my house of worship will be known as a house of prayer for all people.” The Decree of the Master, God himself, who gathers in the exiles of Israel: “I will gather others also, gather them in with those already gathered.”

Isaiah 56:6-7 KJV  Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;  (7)  Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

It was always God’s will for other people from other nations, tribes, and tongues to be part of the Kingdom of God. Right here in scripture, the Bible declares that the stranger will be welcomed in and allowed to participate in the covenant of God. The Word goes even deeper and says that the House of the Lord will be a House of Prayer for all people. One would wonder why the first church would have such a hard time letting in the Gentiles. Let us open the doors of the house of prayer and be a delight in the eyes of the Lord.

  12. ““I will also bless the foreigners who commit themselves to the Lord, who serve him and love his name, who worship him and do not desecrate the Sabbath day of rest, and who hold fast to my covenant. I will bring them to my holy mountain of Jerusalem and will fill them with joy in my house of prayer. I will accept their burnt offerings and sacrifices, because my Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭56:6-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  13. It is plain in this chapter that the Lord is trying to reveal to Israel that He has a plan for all men to come to Him. Unfortunately, it is in the carnal nature to stubbornly think of oneself as better than others. The Jews felt that just because they were Jews, they were superior to all else and accepted automatically into the presence of God. Thus, their spiritual leaders felt they could be arrogant, prejudiced, lazy, selfish, and drunkards without jeopardizing their standing with God or within the community.

Too many throughout Christian history have had the same type of arrogant and hypocritical attitude, thinking themselves better than others just because of heritage, skin color, or beliefs. This is an insult to the grace of God. He loves all men, desires all men to come, and cares only that our hearts be given to Him in faith and obedience. We should check our feelings toward others to insure that we humbly accept others as we have been mercifully accepted ourselves.

  14. Strangers and Outcasts

8 The Lord God, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

Today, who among us feel as if they are outsiders looking in? We have been commanded to care for all individuals who are strangers or who may be seen as different. Strangers and outcasts of society deserve the same hospitality as a widow or an orphan – for such was some of us. While we are a peculiar and chosen people we should never forget from the depths the Lord pulled us from.

“But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.”

  15. 1 Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the Lord, speak, saying, The Lord hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

  16. An interesting statement from the prophet: ‘The Lord God, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.’ We have the clear mention of the gentiles that would be added unto him, but when speaking of those in Israel that would choose to follow after Jesus, it is the outcasts that are gathered. Not those of preeminence, not those in leadership, not those established, but the outcasts of Israel. That is not to say that anyone was precluded, but that those who would choose to follow would be dominated by those that Israel would’ve cast aside as unimportant.

Interestingly enough, God would also build David a following from the very outcasts of Israel… those who just weren’t satisfied and had no place to go. Why is it that those the world looks down upon are so often the ones to respond? God clearly wants all to come unto him, yet so often those who have established themselves in the world are reluctant to answer his call…. reluctant to let go of what they’ve built for themselves. It would be easy to point out fingers to the world when speaking of this, but the prophet was speaking to Israel.

The temptation to retain the comfort of what has already been established is not limited to the world. If we’re not careful, that same mindset can settle into the body that is supposed to be set apart for his service. When we begin to blame the sinner for his lack of response while turning a blind eye to what we as a people should be doing, it’s time to take a closer look in the mirror. God forbid that the people of his name should accomplish anything less than his will. We who’ve been abundant blessed of God need to remember that to whom much is given, much is also required. We need to remain vigilant, we need that fire to burn bright within, we need his glory to be evident!

  17. 6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

A sacrifice to the Lord is a sacrifice. It doesn’t matter if you’re a stranger or not, rich or poor. God welcomes you just like he does anyone else. We usually get the question what do I wear? Our answer is come as you are. God will take of the rest. Go witnessing to a stranger encouraging them to come the way they are!

iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ

  18. 8 The Lord God, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
God will always give every soul a chance to come to him. We know that he is not a respector of persons. He chooses to use his people to reach those that the world seems as lost, worthless and a waste of time. God sees the potential in every soul. It is our job to be sensitive and obedient to his will to go to those that he is calling and to see them as Jesus sees them. Not at the world would.

  19. Josiah: 7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
The house of the Lord is for all nations and for all people. It is not just for the rich or for the poor. That is why we do outreach to reach out to all the people around the Pentecostals of Fort Worth. The word of God is not just for me, but for everyone. This Gospel and the house of the Lord is for all nations and all people. So, let us GO WITNESS to this world!

  20. [Isa 56:3-8 NLT] 3 “Don’t let foreigners who commit themselves to the LORD say, ‘The LORD will never let me be part of his people.’ And don’t let the eunuchs say, ‘I’m a dried-up tree with no children and no future.’ 4 For this is what the LORD says: I will bless those eunuchs who keep my Sabbath days holy and who choose to do what pleases me and commit their lives to me. 5 I will give them–within the walls of my house–a memorial and a name far greater than sons and daughters could give. For the name I give them is an everlasting one. It will never disappear! 8 For the Sovereign LORD, who brings back the outcasts of Israel, says: I will bring others, too, besides my people Israel.”

Hope to the hopeless! To the eunuch who cannot have children, I will give you an everlasting name! To the stranger, I will bring them to my holy mountain! To the outcasts, the others like us gentiles, I will give you an everlasting kingdom!
I Pet.2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

  21. Isaiah 56:4-7
    4) For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbath’s, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
    5) Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name betterc than of sons and daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
    6) Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taken hold of my covenant;
    7) Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

These verses remind us that God is no respecter of persons. Salvation is for everyone.

  22. 9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.

I need to be sure that in what I do that I am not being slothful in the kingdom! I do not want to be as these watchmen who love to slumber, not doing their job, being slothful. I need to focus on Christ and not allow the cares of this life and the time I spend on this physical life, to cause me to be slothful in the kingdom of God. The rewards of effort here on earth will surely pass away quickly, yet the rewards of a life lived holy, devoted to God are surely eternal! Praise the Lord for giving us the chance to serve in His kingdom! Let us GO!

  23. 2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Blessed is the man that… keepeth his hand form doing any evil. I only know one who kept his hand from doing any evil and his name is Jesus. May I also reap the blessing of this verse and keep my hand from doing any evil including those caused by inaction. By keeping Jesus alive and burning inside of me.

  24. 1 Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

The Bible declares in the Book of James that he that knoweth to do good and doeth it not to him it is sin. This part of the chapter reminds me exactly what Bishop preach tonight that it is more than just our job to keep the judgments and do justice but we must lay hold on the calling that God has placed in our lives.

  25. 1 Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

  26. 1 Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

Noyhing will be hidden both the righteouss and the dinner will be revealed.

  27. v2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man thatayeth hold on it; that keeper the Sabbath from pollut8 it,and keeper his hand from doing any evil.

We would do well to prayerfully apply to HIS WORDS.
    I am Blessed

  28. Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

If you need joy go to the house of prayer. It is up to us to Go in righteousness and servanthood that the blessings of God will be evident in our lives but this also requires us to be faithful to prayer.

  29. 11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

Lord I pray for that you would give me wisdom and understanding in all situations spiritual and natural. My life will be a glory to you! You can do anything!

You turned my life around, and you can do the same for any other. You have blessed me and blessed me! Thank you Jesus! Amen!

    May Jesus bless y’all!

  30. The Lord said: Be honest and fair! Soon I will come to save you; my saving power will be seen everywhere on earth.(Isaiah 56:1 CEV)

The Lord wants us to be willing to give our time and our energy to him to be honest with him and to be humbled hearted he also wants us to be fair with the way we are towards his people and to not mistreat them by lying, cheating, because he hates forms of mistreatment. Gods saving power is that he can do all things for he’s the creator of life and that he alone holds, And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (Col 1:17KJV)

  31. 1 Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

The Lord is asking us to stay faithful and obey his ways because he is returning soon.

  32. His house shall be called a house of prayer, and he will make us joyful! That’s where I want to go and to be on that mountain…..

7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

“A mountain top experience can certainly be life changing”……..

  33. Verse 7 NKJV “Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices Will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all
    nations.”

1 Timothy 4:10 AMP “It is for this that we labor and strive [often called to account], because we have fixed our [confident] hope on the living God, who is the [a]Savior of all people, especially of those who believe [in Him, recognize Him as the Son of God, and accept Him as Savior and Lord].”

  34. Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

The Lord tells us what are his expectations of duty from us. Be honest and just in all dealings. Also strictly observe the sabbath day. To have the blessing of God upon employments all the week, make conscience of keeping the sabbath holy. Have nothing to do with sin. Blessed is the man that keeps his hand from all things displeasing to God and hurtful to his own soul. Those who, through the Spirit, wait for the hope of righteousness by faith, will be found walking in ways of holy obedience.

  35. 6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Praise God that he is still looking for those who will come to his house & serve him, making his house a house of prayer.

  36. 7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

It’s repeated here to keep the Sabbath and not to pollute it and keep our hands from doing evil. In a world where evil is running rampant it’s easy to get distracted with frustration or temptation to go astray. When we keep ourselves commited to his vision we can see nothing else. Sin breeds pain, and sorrow and ends in death spiritually and physically. This is why we must be a house of prayer, in his presence and joyfully filled with his Holy Spirit.

  37. “Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭56:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Selfish Shepherds
Selfish shepherds lose their sheep. They are like the man with the talent who buries it so the master doesn’t become mad. They are in it for self gratification. The key to not being a selfish shepherd is to putting others first, killing your flesh, and taking up the heart of God as he is the Great Shepherd.

  38. 1. THUS saith the LORD, Keep ye Judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. 2. Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the Sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand nfrom doing any evil. PRAISE YE THE LORD !!!!
