Isaiah 59

Behold, the Lord‘s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.

None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

They hatch cockatrice’ eggs, and weave the spider’s web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.

Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.

Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.

The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.

Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.

10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.

11 We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.

12 For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;

13 In transgressing and lying against the Lord, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the Lord saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.

16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.

18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.

19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord.

21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.

  1. Verses 1-2 MSG “Look! Listen! God’s arm is not amputated—he can still save. God’s ears are not stopped up—he can still hear. There’s nothing wrong with God; the wrong is in you.” Blunt; but, its the truth. Same verses in the CEV “The Lord hasn’t lost his powerful strength; he can still hear and answer prayers. Your sins are the roadblock between you and your God. That’s why he doesn’t answer your prayers or let you see his face.” Another version says that It’s your sins that have cut you off from God; so, we must truly repent and turn away from evil/sin/wrongdoing to receive our promise.

Verses 20-21 VOICE says “The Redeemer will come to make Zion right again, to rescue those of Jacob’s holy line who turn their backs on wrongdoing. This is My covenant promise to them:[b] My Spirit, which rests on and moves in you, and My words, which I have placed within you, will continue to be spoken among you and move you to action. And not only you, but so it will be for your children and their children too. And so on through the generations for all time.” Let’s move into action and GO!

  2. 19. In the west, people will respect the name of the LORD; in the east, they will glorify him. For he will come like a raging flood tide driven by the breath of the LORD. NLT

    19. This is how people from east to west will come to respect the name and honor the glory of the Eternal. For He will come on like a torrential flood driven by the Eternal’s winds. Voice

    Revelation 22:20
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. KJV

  3. Isaiah 59:13 (English Amp) Rebelling against and denying the Lord, turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving in and muttering and moaning from the heart words of falsehood. We are lost and we are without Jesus in our lives , Stop rebellious against God , It’s not late to our lives to Jesus. God has done so much for us. I know rebelling is a Sin. Go the right way which is Jesus .

  4. It speaks to the magnitude of the love of God that when faced with such sin upon the land, his response was to provide a means of overcoming that sin. ‘And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him. For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head;’

He did not destroy them even as he wondered why no man chose to intercede. It was bad enough that sin had taken root in the land but where were the intercessors calling upon his name to make a difference, where were those who moaned and groaned after righteousness? He wondered at the lack, yet he still provided for their salvation… he showed us himself! His righteousness was not diminished, his law was not superceded… righteousness and peace, truth and mercy, each were satisfied and balanced in his hand as his love provided a way!

What does he ask in return? ‘As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.’ Only that his truth endure to every generation! That we live such an example of that truth before our children that they too would respond to his call, that they too would enjoy the fulness of his blessings!

  5. Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear :

Jeremiah 32:17 Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and earth by the great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee :

If our prayers are not answered, and the salvation we wait for is not wrought for us, it is not because God is weary of hearing our prayer, but because we are weary of praying.

    True, don’t be a sloth😊 GO PRAY

  6. Isaiah 59

19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

Through the shedding of His blood the enemy is defeated. We have nothing to fear for the Lord has already gone before us. When the cares of life seem to begin to over take us we must remember that the Lord has already raised up a mighty standard a wall that nothing can tear it down. His Spirit fighting for us pushing back every demonic spirit . The enemy has already been defeated. The name of the Lord is a strong and mighty tower. We have refuge in His presence and we are covered by the blood of Jesus. So raise your voice in praises when the enemy comes against you. The enemy has to flee he does not even like the mention of Jesus name.
We have learned recently on the Endtime Class that even movies and talk shows are bleeping out the name of Jesus due to not wanting to offend, well we the people of God cannot bleep out Jesus Name for He is the One who has come to set us free and we will proclaim His name. There is power in Jesus Name !

  7. 19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

The standard bearer would lift up the banner in times of war to give direction to the fighters in battle. Jesus today gives us the direction we need to overcome the enemy as we go through this life. He will keep us safe and secure from the flood of the enemy and guide our every step.We may not understand the path he has chosen to take us on.Yet, we must be obedient to Jesus and follow where he leads us to safety; rather than leaning to our own understanding or even worse, the poor council of those that do not trust in Him. Our souls and those that we love are far too precious to risk not following the standard that Jesus raises for us!

Isaiah 59:1-2 KJV  Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:  (2)  But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

The Lord can save, the Lord can hear, the Lord is still Powerful, but there is one thing standing between God and His Salvation…and that one thing is our iniquities.

The word “Iniquities” is translated from the following Hebrew word,
    ‛âvôn
From H5753; perversity, that is, (moral) evil: – fault, iniquity, mischief, punishment (of iniquity), sin.

Just to intentionally get side tracked for a moment is to see the Hebrew word translated to “iniquity”. The word is “Avon” in English. Wow, I bet Avon is not very popular in the nation of Israel…lol. Be like, “Hey Sister, I’m selling Iniquity, want some…”…”oh, no thanks, I’m trying to quit.”

Anyway, Iniquity is what separates us from God. Twisted thoughts, and perverse ways. The definition of perversion is “to go astray from the natural course”.

So, Let’s break this down easy peasy. You have a man and a woman. Natural course is man+woman=baby…easy. Iniquity is perversion and perversion means to go astray from the “natural course”. Anything that is against “nature” is separating us from God. Boom

  9. No one cares about being fair and honest.
The people’s lawsuits are based on lies.
They conceive evil deeds and then give birth to sin.
    Isaiah 59:4 NLT

  10. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
3 For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt. Your lips have spoken lies, and your tongue mutters wicked things.

16 He saw that there was no one, he was a palled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm worked salvation for him, and his own righteousness sustained him.

  11. So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. J. Soliz

  12. Unanswered Prayers

2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear

I will start off by saying that we all go through seasons in our lives that it seems our prayers are not being answered. Yet, God is hearing us and working things out in the spirit before it can be manifested in the natural.

Yet, there are times as a collective body or our private personal prayers, that our prayers go unanswered because of our spiritual condition. So, it is important that we seek God to see if our prayers are unanswered because of something we cannot see because we are blind to the facts or is it that we are just going through a season.

When God hids His face from us we lack in areas that will sustain us through the things that are coming our way.

    Numbers 6:25-26
The LORD make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.’

    Psalm 80:19
O LORD God of hosts, restore us; Cause Your face to shine upon us, and we will be saved.

    Psalm 119:135
Make Your face shine upon Your servant, And teach me Your statutes.

He does this to cause us to turn back and seek Him. Yet it would be better for us to daily walk in righteousness and put away sin.

    Hosea 5:15
I will go away and return to My place Until they acknowledge their guilt and seek My face; In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.

  13. 1 Behold, the Lord‘s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

God is not to blame, we should always first examine ourselves. Search me oh God, forgive me, and draw me close to You!

  14. It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore. For our sins are piled up before God and testify against us. Yes, we know what sinners we are.
    Isaiah 59:2‭, ‬12 NLT
Our sin block us form getting bless GOD hear us but he can’t move until we repent and put away some things JESUS died on the cross so we could be save so our sin could be forgive so then we can never look back JESUS want our sin by blood will cleanse don’t let you sin block you from getting bless

  15. Isaiah 59:16-17
    16) And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
    17) For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.

    Ephesians 6:13-18
    13) Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
    14) Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
    15) And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
    16) Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
    17) And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
    18) Praying always with all prayer and supplicaiton in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

JESUS became our Intercessor and Salvation.
Now it is time for us to GO… GO INTERCEDE… GO Put on the Whole Armour of God… GO make a Stand… GO Pray for Others

  16. WHERE DID GOD GO

1 Behold, the Lord‘s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

A deceitful trick of the adversary is to convice believers that JESUS has forsaken us. But we learn hear from the WORD of GOD that we are the ones that separate ourselves from GOD when we violate, disobey and disregard HIS WORD and or SPIRIT. Our own pride, our own will, our own iniquities, this is what presents a gap or disconnect from the presence and power of GOD. It is us not the devil and definitely not GOD.

GOD is secure, stable and fixed. HE will always be GOD. HE alone will always possess all power and authority in heaven and in earth. If today you are struggling to feel the presence and power of GOD like you desire to or like you have in the past. GOD has not moved, he is still on the throne of all creation, ruling all things.

We must repent; turn away from our sin. Turn our hearts to GOD. Give HIM our will, our time, our talent and our treasures. You have not gone too far, nor been gone too long. The arm of GOD can and will reach you wherever you are, if you will call on HIM and turn from iniquity.

GOD did not GO anywhere, it is mankind that through iniquity chose to GO away from GOD.

2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Jesus!!! The problem is not Jesus it’s us!!! It’s always been us!! Jesus is the faithful one and will always be!!! We must cleanse ourselves stay clean so that God can manifest in our prayers. Sin is what covers the Lords ears. Yet sometimes people get so frustrated with God when in reality it’s our own fault. Repentance is the key to salvation! Complete true repentance not just repentance for a day or a week but daily consecration. This is where Pastor preaching comes in, on how we can’t be sloths. We have to pray, fast, WORK, preach, evangelize, read His Word continually even if we don’t want to. Lord help me stay purified so you can hear my prayers Lord!! Remove everything that is not of you Lord!!

  18. 16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

This verse reminds me of Jesus Christ and how God after looking for a man to be the intercessor and save the world He could find no one so he put flesh on and came down himself to forgive the sins of the whole world. Thank God for the blood!

  19. I Love To Worship The Lord
Sin corrupts human nature it turns our thoughts to evil acts arouses wrong desires and so weakens our wills that we choose the wrong even when we know what is good
    Sin separates man and God

  20. 1 Behold, the Lord‘s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Whenever I feel that my prayers aren’t breaking through, it’s usually because they aren’t, and it’s my fault. My sins separate me from Jesus. Only my sins. I know His hand is more than enough for anything I might face.

What I have found to be the best way for me to be heard, is first to “Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise.” Because “He inhabits the praises of his people, ” I have his attention, and can repent, removing my sins from between me and Jesus. The I can pray.

  21. 16 He was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed.
So he himself stepped in to save them with his strong arm, and his justice sustained him. NLT

Matthew 8:10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said, “I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!

    How do you amaze God?
By Great Faith? or by the lack of commitment?

I pray we strive to Amaze God as Israel did in Matthew 8, that when He looks at POFW, He is amazed at the Great Works being done for His Kingdom!

    Let’s GO Amaze God!

  22. 1 Behold, the Lord‘s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

These verses just remind me of 1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, be ye holy; for I am holy. And that which is Holy can not abide in that which is evil. So I pray that I always stay holy through the Lord Jesus Christ. That I constantly remove from my life that is not holy and pleasing to him.

17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.

These verse reminds me to put on the full armour of God. However here are two pieces here not found in Ephesians 6. The garments of vengeance and zeal as a cloak. Of the two the garments of vengeance we cannot use, because vengeance is mine sayth the Lord. However the cloak caught my attention because in the physical it is possible for an armoured man to die without ever receiving a wound and that is by temperature. For metal conducts heat very well. So if it is snowing it makes it far quicker to get hypothermia and die. Or when it is hot out to get heatstroke and die. Both snapping the armoured man’s strength until he is weary unto death. But a cloak could stop the temperature form being as much as a factor, keeping snow and rain off in winter and providing shade form the sun in the summer. It translates to the spiritual as well for zeal as a cloak would protect the person that is under from the events around them. For when you are zealous about something nothing can affect it. So would zeal protect me from anything that would snap my spiritual strength and weary me unto unto death spiritually. May I add zeal as a cloak to my armour so that I can reap and faint not.

  23. 1 Behold, the Lord‘s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.

If our prayers are not being answered, and we feel God is a million miles away, we must take the time to examine our hearts through prayer and the Word. God cannot and will not violate His word. Sin separates us from Him. There is no such thing as a small sin or a big sin, sin is sin regardless of what it is and God’s spirit cannot dwell where sin is present. Everyday I must cleanse myself from all unrighteousness so that I will be pure to come into His presence.

  24. 20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord.

He came to redeem us from sin and to be our advocate in this life. When we turn from our sins, he promises to reach for and keep our children and grandchildren in his ways. It’s not the Lord’s will that any perish by living in sin. As parents we must teach our children this apostolic truth so this promise is perpetuated throughout generations.

  25. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sin’s have hid his face from you…Therefore is judgment far from us,…we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness. We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places…
    Isaiah 59:2, 9-10 KJV

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
    Psalms 27:1 KJV

The serpent presented sin to Eve as something that would make her wise and powerful, but we see from today’s chapter that sin hides us from God’s face, blocking out the light of His glory and casting us into darkness. There is no wisdom, power, or direction when one is groping around in the darkness, only a fearful anticipation of what lies ahead.

Only by returning to the Light can we defeat fear and receive clarity for our lives. In HIM there is no variableness or shadow of turning, only constant light. If I walk in the light, I will have fellowship with Him and “even the night shall be light about me,” (Psalms 139:11).

  26. our sin separates us from God , he is holy and he is clean our own sin cuts us off from the main line and puts a barrier between us and Jesus.
    GET RIGHT WITH GOD FOLKS

  27. 1 Behold, the Lord‘s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

God said he would never leave us nor forsake us, so when we begin to blame God for our separation we make ourself into liars. Nothing or nobody can separate us from God, except we ourselves.

  28. “For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Let’s be smart and put the armor on right remembering that each day is a new day with new trails and new temptations, don’t forget your sword the word being sword.

  29. 1 Behold, the Lord‘s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

Why we haven’t seen the promises fulfilled.

As I was reading this chapter my mind goes back to the age old question. If God is in charge, then why does he allow bad things to happen to good people.
I had a student come and ask me this question. I said to them that in Isaiah the bible states that God’s ways are above our ways. And Man’s sin started in the garden. But not just for that reason, but that God gave us a sense of choice, weither or not to serve him. And for the most part the world has chosen to step away from God. And it was for these reasons why God has allowed these things to happen. Because He gave man “CHOICE.” Now with that being said in this passage we read that the Lord’s hand is not shortened, So that means that God can and will take care of those who he loves and are saved by His grace. Just as a parent is going to be more willing to allow a child to go to a friends house that has good grades, than a child who needs to study for an important test. The Lord blesses those who delight in Him.
As we get close to turning the page to a new year. My prayer is that God will help me/us to delight in Him so that I may serve with a better attitude and purpose.

  30. Shut up already!

For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue muttereth wickedness. None sueth in righteousness, and none pleadeth in truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

transgressing and denying Jehovah, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭59‬:‭3-4, 13‬ ASV)

    1. Lips have spoken lies.
    2. Tongue muttereth wickedness**
    3. Speak lies.
    4. Speak oppression**
    5. Uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

    Scripture is truth!!!
The tongue of the wise uttereth knowledge aright; But the mouth of fools poureth out folly. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭15‬:‭2‬ ASV)

Death and life are in the power of the tongue; And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭21‬ ASV)

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: (‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭29-31‬ KJV)

Jesus hold my tongue, that I may always speak was is true and life. That I will be holy for you are Holy!

  31. 19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

  32. Holy Ghost please lift that standard!

    HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST!!!

  34. v16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercession : therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

JESUS is the only answer to our sinful dilemma.

  35. 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Bring yourself holy and acceptable before God! He is the true king and one and only, and his name is Jesus. We always need to bring a pure and holy flame to the altar before his presence so we can be open to the Holy Ghost!

  36. 19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him

The lord will raise up a standard agaist our enemies! We dont need to fear becaise the lord will fight our battles. He knows the end from the beginning. Just as fast issues of life hits up God can turn around the sitution just as fast.

  37. 17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak

I once had a dream where I saw a modern-day armor of God in the form of a SWAT tactical gear outfit that an officer would wear and what each part of the armor of God represents. How the helmet of salvation protects our minds from ungodly thoughts and the breastplate of righteousness protects our emotions. And how incredibly essential it is to pray the armor of God over our lives every single day, without praying it is like going into battle without the armour

  38. 16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

Seeing the desperate state of humanity, no one to plead their case, His own arm brought salvation! [2Co 5:19 KJV] 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
[Isa 43:11 KJV] 11 I, [even] I, [am] the LORD; and beside me [there is] no saviour.
[Heb 9:14 KJV] 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

  39. As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.

  40. 17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.

Even though the world is running rampant with sin we know our path is in God’s righteousness. We choose which path of life we will travel like the wide and narrow gates (Matt 7:13-14). Here Israel turned their backs on God and are so deep in sin that they can’t find their way out. God doesn’t want his people to die in sin but to repent. To come out of darkness and walk in his marvelous light. He will judge for their sins for their is no one who will intercede for them because they have all gone astray. He puts on the armor of God as we also should and prepares to carry out his vengeance. So when we lead repented and wearing the full armor of God he will protect us from the sinful wickedness of this world. For when the enemy comes in like a flood the Lord will lift up a standard against it.

  41. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.(Isaiah 59:2 KJV)

We need to prepare and protect ourselves at all times by being on the lookout for everything that tries to distract, discourage us or hinder our minds and hearts because it can separate us from God. When we don’t discern or see the problem that we are facing we are hurting ourselves and our relationship with our God. It will put us in a situation that our own sins are keeping us from seeking Gods face and from being able to hear his voice.

  42. 18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.

19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.

God is our avenger he’ll protect you from the enemies and anyone who stands in the way of the word of God.

  43. Behold, the Lord‘s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.

4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

5 They hatch cockatrice’ eggs, and weave the spider’s web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.

6 Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.

7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.

8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.

If our prayers are not answered, and the salvation we wait for is not wrought for us, it is not because God is weary of hearing prayer, but because we are weary of praying. See here sin in true colours, exceedingly sinful; and see sin in its consequences, exceedingly hurtful, separating from God, and so separating us, not only from all good, but to all evil. Yet numbers feed, to their own destruction, on infidel and wicked systems. Nor can their skill or craft, in devising schemes, as the spider weaves its web, deliver or save them. No schemes of self-wrought salvation shall avail those who despise the Redeemer’s robe of righteousness. Every man who is destitute of the Spirit of Christ, runs swiftly to evil of some sort; but those regardless of Divine truth and justice, are strangers to peace.

  44. 1 Behold, the Lord‘s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

It’s not that the Lord does not want to bless and have a strong close relationship with people, but it is us that limit him because of sin and iniquity. The key is to live a lifestyle of repentance. To ensure that your most important relationship, creator and man, Is going strong and communication open that we may obtain life’s direction.

  45. 1 Behold, the Lord‘s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

There’s no such thing as sinning on accident. God knows our hearts. Let’s live right before Him and obey His commandments.

  46. 8 They don’t know where to find peace or what it means to be just and good.

So many are in this state of mind, they dont have peace within themselves. All they know is evil, or that people are after them, that on one cares for them, they feel lost spiritually. If they could only realize that God is the answer to their prayers. If they could only feel Jesus, feel the holy spirit, they would start to develop a relationship with God.

  47. 9. Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness. 10. We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men. 11. We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us. Have thine own way LORD.
