Isaiah 60

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.

Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the Lord.

All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.

Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?

Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.

10 And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.

11 Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.

12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.

13 The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.

14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the Lord, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

15 Whereas thou has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.

16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.

18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.

19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time.

  1. 15 Whereas thou has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.

We must look for the full accomplishment in times and things, exceeding those of the Old Testament church. The nations and their kings shall lay themselves out for the good of the church. Such a salvation, such a redemption, shall be wrought out for thee, as discovers itself to be the work of the Lord. Every thing shall be changed for the better. In thy land shall no more be heard threats of those that do violence, nor complaints of those that suffer violence. Thy walls shall be means of safety, thy gates shall be written upon with praises to God. In the close of this chapter are images and expressions used in the description of the New Jerusalem, Revelation 21:23; Revelation 22:5. Nothing can answer to this but some future glorious state of the church on earth, or the state of the church triumphant in heaven. Those that make God their only light, shall have him their all-sufficient light. And the happiness shall know no change or alloy. No people on earth are all righteous; but there are no mixtures in heaven. They shall be wholly righteous. The spirits of just men shall there be made perfect. The glory of the church shall be to the honour of God. When it shall be finished, it will appear a work of wonder. It may seem too difficult to be brought about, but the God of almighty power has undertaken it. It may seem to be delayed and put off; but the Lord will hasten it in the time appointed by his wisdom, though not in the time prescribed by our folly. Let this hope cheer us under all difficulties, and stir us up to all diligence, that we may have an abundant entrance into this everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

  2. In the ERV this chapter is captioned “God Is Coming” and it reminded me of the song “People Get Ready… Jesus Is Comin”:

    Lord I’m ready now.
I’m waiting for your triumphant return. (You’re coming so soon).
This world has nothing for me,
I find my peace and joy solely in You. (Only in You).
I want the world to see,
You’re alive and living well in me.
    Let me be a part,
of the harvest for the days are few. (You’re coming soon).

    So People get ready,
    Jesus is coming soon
    we’ll be going home.
People get ready, Jesus is coming
to take from the world his own.
People get ready, Jesus is coming.
    Soon we’ll be going home.
People get ready, Jesus is coming
soon we’ll be going home. (We’ll be going home).

    There’s a day that comes
when we will be divided right and left.
(For those who know Him and those that do not know).
And those who know Him well, will meet Him in the air.
    Hallelujah! (God is within us).
And those that do not know, they will hear ‘Depart I knew you not.’
    For my friends you see,
there will be a day when we’ll be counted.
So know Him well, know Him well.

We will see people coming from the East, the West, the North and the South……being drawn to God’s radiant light. John 8:12 ERV says “Later, Jesus talked to the people again. He said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never live in darkness. They will have the light that gives life.”

  3. God will be your eternal light,
your God will bathe you in splendor.
Your sun will never go down,
    your moon will never fade.
I will be your eternal light.
Your days of grieving are over.
All your people will live right and well,
in permanent possession of the land.
They’re the green shoot that I planted,
planted with my own hands to display my glory.
The runt will become a great tribe,
the weakling become a strong nation.
    I am God.
At the right time I’ll make it happen.”
    MS version

What a relief sometimes we try to do it on our own, but really God is the one who is In control. His timing isnt our timing. His thoughts and his ways isnt like us. Too often we have not fully put our trust him like we should. He is our light in the midst of darkness. He will give us ehat we need, or our wants. He is a fair God. We have to be PATIENT! No I dont like gearing that word. Lol
At the right time God will make it happen!!

  4. 4. Don’t be shy; don’t be doubtful; lift up your eyes and look around. They have gathered all around you, eager to come and be close to you. And your children will come back to this land: your sons from the farthest places of wandering, and your daughters gently carried home.

    5. And when you see it, your face will glow; your heart will race and be filled with joy;For great ships will arrive with gifts from across the sea, and the wealth of nations will make their way to you.

When God is making and fulfilling promises and blessing His people, we have nothing to be shy or embarrassed about. The Almighty Himself has chosen to bless; there is no reason to hang our heads.

Lift up your head. Chase doubt from your mind. Rejoice and prepare yourself for the blessings and the return of those you love!

    2 Kings 7:19
Then that officer had answered the man of God, and said, “Now look, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, could such a thing be?” And he had said, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.” NKJV

  5. Isaiah 60:3 (English Amp) Arise [ from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have keep you – rise to a new life] ! Shine ( be radiant with the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! Zech 8:23 Thus Says the Lord of hosts; In those days ten men out of a language of nations shall take hold of the rope of him who is a Jew, saying , Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you. Wait on the Lord he is coming.

  6. THY KINGDOM COME

12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.

There is ONE GOD and KING, his name is JESUS. The Kingdom of GOD shall reign forever. The prophet declares that our kingdoms will not survive in HIS Kingdom. We either choose to serve HIS Kingdom or our control will be as nothing.

As we surrender our Kingdoms to HIM and HIS. We submit ourselves to HIS calling and mission. Our lives; heart, mind, soul and body are HIS. Everything we do and everything we say is subject to HIS will and HIS plan.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Seeking the Kingdom of GOD, delivers us from seeking our own Kingdom. Serving the Kingdom of GOD, humbles us to submit to HIS will.

  7. The light of the world

2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

When you are driving through the neighborhood late at night and out of the corner of your eye you see a light come on inside of a house two blocks away, it doesn’t seem strange because we know what is happening but it does draw our attention for just a moment. The world sees us just the same way. In the middle of the darkness we shine. The difference is that we have got to keep their attention longer than a moment. The world cannot grow accustomed to is just being different for a moment. If we have small glimpses of his glory no one really pays attention to it. It shines for a moment and then fades away quickly. When his glory rests upon us continually they will notice. They will come to see what is going on and we will make a difference in their loves

  8. The desire of God is clear! ‘Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light…’

If we truly believe that Jesus is God manifest in the flesh, we cannot deny the glory beheld as he walked among us… the glory as of the only begotten of the father. There is not another… even John in his moment of doubt would ask that question and was responded with the fulfillment of this very prophet. His light has come, and he expects it to shine clearly in his people!

We cannot complain about the darkness around us… the prophet assured us that would come as well. Not just the darkness of ignorance, but the gross darkness of willful iniquity. He doesn’t expect us to accommodate the darkness. He declares that his glory is expected to be seen upon us, and his glory is what would draw. Not our works, not our goodness, not our sincerity, but God’s glory would draw them. We cannot experience the revival God desires until his glory rests upon his people! Until that glorious day when ‘The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.’

  9. 19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

  10. Isaiah 60

    Into His Marvelous Light
20Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the
Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and tihe days of thy mourning shall be ended.

You Have Turned My Mourning Into Dancing You Have Turned My Sorrow Into Joy

What more is there to say when the God we serve is the everlasting Light. The heart mender, the healer of all sicknesses, the Savior of the world.
We walk out of darkness” Into His Marvelous Light”. Share it with the world for soon and very soon He will return.

(Just a note” INTO HIS MARVELOUS LIGHT “)
A Bible study anyone can teach if u can read.

  11. 1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

Let your light shine. Our Holy Ghost light was not meant to be hidden under a bush or in a closet somewhere. But to shine forth into the darkness that is in this world and draw men unto him. May I not let my light to dim and falter, but shine and be a witness and example to all those around me.

  13. Though you were once despised and hated, with no one traveling
trough you, I will make you beautiful forever, a joy to all generations.
    Isaiah 60:15 NLT

  14. They are ships from the ends of the earth, from lands that trust in me, led by the great ships of Tarshish. They are bringing the people of Israel home from far away, carrying their silver and gold. They will honor the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has filled you with splendor. “Foreigners will come to rebuild your towns, and their kings will serve you. For though I have destroyed you in my anger, I will now have mercy on you through my grace.
    Isaiah 60:9‭-‬10 NLT

We serve a merciful GOD yes he may be angry for just awhile he graceful when his angry pass away he takes and make something beautiful just like he did in this chapter he was angry but all their enemies attack everyone was against them they struggle to get things
But my GOD is great and might and forgiving he made them a mighty nation GOD made it so there enemies will sever and any nation that try to come against them all try to attack them will be destroyed it talk more about the great thing GOD doing thought the chapter GOD love he Love us so much that he died on the cross for us

  15. Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. His grace is what saves us . he may be angry. But you follow him and honor him blessings and honor will come pouring out. You will have to sacrifice but the lord will always give you more . you can never out give him. God also turns ashes into beauty. When his anger passes away he will rebuild you up just like he did in the genesis Flood.

  16. 4. Don’t be shy; don’t be doubtful; lift up your eyes and look around. They have gathered all around you, eager to come and be close to you. And your children will come back to this land: your sons from the farthest places of wandering, and your daughters gently carried home.

To me this scripture speaks of a homecoming of sorts. A time when the wandering son or daughter will find their way back to the Father’s house and be restored. I often pray that God would save and restore prodigal sons and daughters, now I can use this verse as a scripture reference.

    • Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
      Isaiah 43:5‭-‬7 KJV

Thus saith the Lord ; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the Lord ; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. And there is hope in thine end, saith the Lord , that thy children shall come again to their own border.
      Jeremiah 31:16‭-‬17 KJV

Nothing we commit to His hands is ever lost. He knows right where they are, and He is able to lead them home.

  17. 21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

We must be righteous to see the Lord! We must seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness!!! Awaken in me Lord that I may hunger and love you more and more everyday Jesus!!!

  18. Isaiah 60:1-5 (NLT)
    1) Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the LORD rises to shine on you.
    2) Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the LORD rises and appears over you.
    3) All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come see your radiance.
    4) Look and see, for everyone is coming home! Your sons are coming from distant lands; your little daughters will be carried home.
    5) Your eyes will shine, and your heart will thrill with joy, for merchants from around the world will come to your. They will bring you wealth of many lands.

    It’s Time to Believe It!
When we (POFW) ARISE and SHINE and let the light of God shine through us, we will see people from near and far come to church; our prodigal sons and daughters will come home; and we will receive Goshen Blessings.

So, RISE and SHINE and Give God the Glory!!

  19. I Love To Worship The Lord
    The future glorious Kingdom
One of the most persistent themes of O.T. prophecy holds that at historys end God will set up a Kingdom on earth. its Capital will be Jerusalem and from the Holy City the Messiah a descendant of David will rule all the peoples of the planet.

  20. iLove to Go Blog
As most probably know already, this chapter is a dedicated Word of Prophecy about the upcoming “1000 year reign”. The key giveaway is found in verse 12; “For the nation and kingdom that does not serve thee shall perish…” This scripture is also found in Zechariah 14:16-17 KJV  And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.  (17)  And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
Wow, the Word of God is sharp, and powerful!

  21. 18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

These passages remind me of the old song “What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see; And I look upon his face, the one who saved me by his grace…”. It will be the times of true peace when He rules & reigns here during this time. I want to be with him no matter what.

  22. … for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.
    Isaiah 60:10 KJV

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
    Romans 8:28 KJV

Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely: And they shall be my people, and I will be their God: And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul. For thus saith the Lord ; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.
    Jeremiah 32:37‭-‬42 KJV

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
    Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

…I the Lord will hasten it in his time.
    Isaiah 60:22 KJV

God can be trusted to turn all our sorrow to good. We must just learn to patiently wait and endure until He ordains that the perfect time has come.

  23. 1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

  24. 1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

We are the light of this world, and the light is Jesus. There is only one way to saved and that is through the mighty name of Jesus! We need to arise in this world and breakthrough the darkness with the light of Jesus. Light has no shadow, and what that tells me is that darkness has no affect on light, when darkness comes in contact with light, it is overcome by light for light was from the beginning.

3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

God knew from the beginning that light was separate from darkness and the same the other. We are separate from this world.

  25. 4“Look and see, for everyone is coming home! Your sons are coming from distant lands; your little daughters will be carried home.

We all pray that our lost relatives and friends come to Jesus one day. I have sisters who are lost, they know about Jesus, but dont have a relationship with him. I pray for them daily, that one day they will serve the Lord.

  26. “And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬
As I read these scriptures over and over again I can see the Lost stumbling in seeking and searching for God. I can see Hungry people for the Word of God. People that are on the last limb and even people just seeking the joy that they can see on all of our faces.
I was one of those people seeking for the joy. I came to church where that bright light was and seen nothing but smiles and welcoming gestures. I wanted that I said to myself, “I gotta have some of that joy”
See I know now it’s how you carry yourself, how you show others that you truly do have peace. That even though you’re going through hell youre still alright because you trust God. It’s the way you carry yourself that attracts those people.
Be that light every looks for
iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

  27. 18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, waisting nor destruction within thy borders, But thou shalt call thy walls salvation, and thy gates Praise. Thank you Jesus.

  28. 4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.

5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

Prodigal sons and daughters are coming home!

  29. 19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

Oh what a day that will be when we are finally with our Savior forevermore! All of the trials, tribulations, joys, sorrow, gains and losses will be nothing compared to seeing Jesus face to face!
It will all be worth it!

  30. “Your gates will be open continually; They shall not be shut day or night,
So that people may bring to you the wealth of the nations—
With their kings led in procession.
12 “For the nation or the kingdom which will not serve you [Jerusalem] shall perish, And the nations [that refuse to serve] shall be utterly ruined. (AMP)

    No wonder the Jews expected these prophecies to be fulfilled by their Messiah, who wouldn’t? They saw themselves as God’s chosen and yet, they failed to see where He was the suffering servant in Isaiah 52 & 53. We can also fall into the same trap when we only expect blessings, joy and prosperity! Scripture is clear, we learn much and grow more through suffering. [Heb 5:8 KJV] 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
[1Pe 5:10 KJV] 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].

Suffering isn’t our favorite part of this Christian walk, but it is needful!

  31. 1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

We must be filled with Him that we may shine a light to the Lost world that points people go Jesus. His glory should be evident in our lives that the darkness are lit up.

  32. 1Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.

We all have God light in us. We must not have anything that would hide His light. Let us shine his light through our actions.
I had a client today come in and say to me that her and one of her friends were talking about the banker that is always smiling.
Let God’s light shine bright to this dark world.

  33. v20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be think everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

Praise God! What a privileged people we are.
HIS LIGHT provides us with direction and will guide us to our eternal home that HE has prepared for those who love HIM

  34. 16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

Just as in the apostolic oneness faith and the Judaism, we have a lot in common. The main thing being, that we believe in One God. That there is no division of him, or that he shares his glory with any.

There is no concept of a trinity in the Judeo world. There is but only one God. The difference in this is the revelation of his name. While to the Jews he was a prophet, to us that is God’s name. That why he is not just the Saviour and redeemer of Israel, but of the world thru Christ.

  35. 4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee

Something that is about this part of the chapter, it illustrates the power a flowing together and what happens when we are in one Accord. It is a great demonstration of what can be done when we are of the same mind. The devil spends more time trying to divide the Saints then he does attacking them one by one because we be coming in stoppable force when we band together and move in the same direction

  36. 1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

We have the opportunity to shine for God. He allows us to rise and see his marvelous light when we fall. I give God the glory always.

  37. 4 “Look and see, for everyone is coming home! Your sons are coming from distant lands; your little daughters will be carried home. (NLT)

Yes! In Jesus Name! Let Your light shine for all to see and make their way back home.

  38. 1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Our world is covered in darkness spiritually and getting worse each day. But the light and glory of God will come on those that will arise in His power. Let God arise and let every enemy be scattered .

  39. 22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time.

The Lord specializes in turning a little into a lot. Numbers aren’t the only thing important when he infuses people and situations with his power. With only 300 men Gideon defeated the Midianite army as “thick as locusts” (Jgd 7:7,12). Young David with only a sling and a stone, “struck down” the enormous Goliath with his giant sword in 1Sam 17:50. Later in Israel’s history, Queen Esther, courageously stepped put alone and saved a nation (Esther 8:5). To turn the least into the a “thousand” and “the smallest [into] a mighty nation” (Isa 60:22) may be metaphorical, but it represents the reality of what God is able and willing to do for his people who are willing to be used. Consider what Modecai told Esther in Esther 4:14
” If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”

  40. Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you. (Isaiah 60:2 NLT)

Anytime when you feel like you are alone in the darkest times of your situations just remember you are covered in the blood of the All Powerful God Lord Jesus Christ you are bought and you are his.Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.(Psalms 23:4 NLT).

  41. 1. ARISE, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 2. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. YOU ARE THE ONLY TRUE GOD !!!!
