Jeremiah 5

Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.

And though they say, The Lord liveth; surely they swear falsely.

O Lord, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God.

I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the Lord, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.

How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots’ houses.

They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour’s wife.

Shall I not visit for these things? saith the Lord: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

10 Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the Lord‘s.

11 For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, saith the Lord.

12 They have belied the Lord, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:

13 And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them.

14 Wherefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

15 Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the Lord: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say.

16 Their quiver is as an open sepulchre, they are all mighty men.

17 And they shall eat up thine harvest, and thy bread, which thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up thy flocks and thine herds: they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig trees: they shall impoverish thy fenced cities, wherein thou trustedst, with the sword.

18 Nevertheless in those days, saith the Lord, I will not make a full end with you.

19 And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the Lord our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not your’s.

20 Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,

21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

22 Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

26 For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

27 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

28 They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.

29 Shall I not visit for these things? saith the Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

30 A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

  1. Verses 21-25 AMP “‘Now hear this, O foolish people without heart, Who have eyes but do not see, Who have ears but do not hear. ‘Do you not fear Me?’ says the Lord. ‘Do you not tremble [in awe] in My presence? For I have placed the sand as a boundary for the sea, An eternal decree and a perpetual barrier beyond which it cannot pass. Though the waves [of the sea] toss and break, yet they cannot prevail [against the sand ordained to hold them back]; Though the waves and the billows roar, yet they cannot cross over [the barrier]. [Is not such a God to be feared?] ‘But this people has a stubborn heart and a rebellious will [that draws them away from Me]; They have turned away and have gone [into idolatry]. ‘They do not say in their heart, “Let us now fear and worship the Lord our God [with profound awe and reverence], Who gives rain in its season, Both the autumn and the spring rain, Who keeps for us The appointed weeks of the harvest.” ‘Your wickedness has turned these [blessings] away, And your sins have withheld good [harvests] from you.”

Psalm 2:11 AMP “Worship the Lord and serve Him with reverence [with awe-inspired fear and submissive wonder]; Rejoice [yet do so] with trembling.” Psalm 22:23 AMP “You who fear the Lord [with awe-inspired reverence],
praise Him! All you descendants of Jacob, honor Him. Fear Him [with submissive wonder], all you descendants of Israel.”

  2. 22. Do you not realize who I am? Do you not fear Me? Do you not shake in the presence of the Eternal, the Creator of all things? It is I who has drawn for all time the boundaries of the sea. The waves may crash and roar against the sand, But the waters do not cross the lines I have drawn. Voice

  3. Jeremiah 5:23-25
    23) But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.
    24) Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.
    25) Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

It is iniquity and sin in our life that has caused God’s Blessings to be turned away and withheld in our lives.
May we allow God to search our hearts today, see if there be any wicked way in us, cleanse us, and set us free, so that His Blessings can flow freely in us.

  5. 21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

We have ears yes! We have eyes yes! But do we hear and see the things of this word more than we do the things of his kingdom. We heard it last night we are not normal for that means the kingdom of God has settled itself in the POFW and we will see miracles, signs, and wonders. Our ears and eyes need to be set to the kingdom of God and not the world. We read his word and receive kingdom revelations.

  6. I Love To Worship The Lord
vs 5-Every person is responsible for choices but those who put themselves forword as leaders are more culpable
vs-12 To say God will not judge sin is a foul lie that reflects on His moral charcter

  7. ““Go down the rows of vineyards and rip out the vines, but not all of them. Leave a few. Prune back those vines! That growth didn’t come from GOD! They’ve betrayed me over and over again, Judah and Israel both.” GOD ’s Decree.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭5:10-11‬ ‭MSG

I like the way the message version puts it. Trim those vines back that are speaking against our Lord God.
I grew up in the country and there was this stuff called Kudzu. Now Kudzu was a vine brought over to the east coast in 1876. I heard they originally brought it over and planted it in the valleys to keep the rocks from tumbling. Now this “Kudzu” could really get out hand and sin can act the same way. It can hinder you from going and growing in the Lord. It can grow all over the place and just get out of hand too. So we must keep it cut back or cut out of our lives. To protect ourselves we should
1.pray in the spirit- seek his face first
    2. Read his word DAILY- the blog helps but I don’t see why you shouldn’t read an hour a day if you’re already praying in the spirit an hour a day as well.
    3. Disciplining our flesh- fast once a week, I’m gonna be honest I do not do number three like I use to.

So Go trim those vines back

  8. Jeremiah 5:3,4 O Lord, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

The eyes of the Lord is a common figure of God’s sovereign surveillance over all that happens. He sees the sinner and saint, and deals with all in due righteousness. This should be an encouragement to believers to walk circumspectly in His presence.

Psalm 94:9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

    Psalm 33:18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

Deuteronomy 13:18 When thou shalt hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep all commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of the Lord thy God.

  9. Jeremiah 5

25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

God wanted to bless the people. Their love for the world kept Gid from being able to give to them what He in store. He told Jeremiah to go through the city and search but noone could be found. They had their own agenda of what they considered a good life. There is so much to be found in serving God. Peace that goes beyond our own understanding. Love when their should be hate, joy right in the midst of sorrow. So much in the storehouse of God. Thank you Lord for your righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Ghost such is the Kingdom of God .

  10. THY KINGDOM COME

24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.
25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

It is so disappointing to witness people lose interest, trust and faith in JESUS and HIS Kingdom. Remembering each day is a gift from GOD is key to personal victory. Rain, sleet, snow or sunshine; all days are a gift from JESUS. HE owns each day, HE owns time, HE owns the air we breathe, HE gives us the BLESSINGS of life.

However when people choose sin over holiness and iniquity over righteousness we find ourselves separating from GOD. When we seek FIRST the Kingdom of GOD we will recognize and appreciate GOD for who HE is and be eternally thankful for what HE does.

  11. 10 Go through her vineyards and ravage them, do not destroy them completely. Strip of her branches, for these people do not belong to the Lord.

12 They have lied about the Lord; they said: He will do nothing! No harm will come to us; we will never see sword or famine.
13 The profits are but wind and the word is not in them; so let what they say be done to them.
14 Therefore this is with the Lord God Almighty says: Because the people have spoken these words, I will make my words in your mouth a fire and those people the wood it consumes

  12. The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
    Jeremiah 5:31 KJV

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
    2 Timothy 4:3‭-‬4 KJV

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
    2 Thessalonians 2:10‭-‬12 KJV

Will God allow people to be deceived? Yes! There are many doctrines gone out into the world to test the hearts of men. These doctrines sound reasonable and right, but are perversions of God’s Word. Scripture says that people will twist the Word to their own destruction (2 Pet 3:16). If we are holding to beliefs that encourage unrighteousness, we should beware. We must love God’s truth–all of it–more than our sin. Many times, we will have to stand against family members, loved ones, and past pastors and churches in order to receive and cling to the truth.

What Scriptures are you wrestling with? Who would you rather believe than the conviction God is laying in your heart? Are you looking for someone to validate what it is you want to believe? Be careful with such searches; you will eventually find someone (perhaps even a priest, prophet, or preacher) to concur with the lie you want to believe. We must continually ask God to search our hearts and to see if there are any wicked ways in us that are causing us to believe lies rather than truth; then, we must ask for a love for the truth, no matter the upheaval that truth may make in the status quo of our sinful lives.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
    Jeremiah 17:9‭-‬10 KJV

Lord, give us truth–AND hearts to receive it, in Jesus name!

  13. 25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

We can’t have iniquity in our lives and be like God. Sin separates us from God! He wants a pure clean body that’s why it’s so important to pray without ceasing, listen to His voice, fast, read His Word! We have to stay connected to God! If we’re not connected to God it’s our own fault not Gods fault! I can’t let sin destroy my life, my families life, or those around me. I can’t let the enemy take over my life. I will not let anything steal what God has given me. It’s a privledge to be able to serve the King of Kings!!! Jesus cleanse me from head to toes!!!

  14. 21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding, which have eyes, and see not, which have ears , and hear not, 22 Fear ye not me? Saith the Lord, will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail, though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE. AWESOME IN POWER, AMAZING GOD.

  15. iLove the Kingdom
Jeremiah 1:1 NLT “Run up and down every street in Jerusalem,” says the Lord.
“Look high and low; search throughout the city!
If you can find even one just and honest person,
I will not destroy the city.

Wow, this verse reminds me of Abraham trying to make intercession for Sodom. God is a loving and merciful God but He seeks Righteousness. A lack of righteousness always brings judgement. The King of Kings was only searching for ONE just and honest person…and could not even find them. Now remember, the city was religious…so religion alone cannot save you. God is seeking a relationship with his people and this relationship is not one sided. God expects us to walk in his Power and live an overcoming life… and if we choose not to do that, well judgement is not too far behind. The following is a New Testament verse to back that statement up.

1 Peter 4:17 KJV  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

  16. AMP – 25 ‘Your wickedness has turned these [blessings] away,
And your sins have withheld good [harvests] from you.

Our actions can cause us to be blessed by the Lord, or for the judgements of the to fall on us. It’s up to us. Do we serve the Lord gladly or is life with Jesus a drudgery and we do our own thing? We must evaluate ourselves and recognize that our relationship with Jesus is most important. For HIS KINGDOM to operate within us we must be pure and holy, seeking after His righteousness so that we might be filled.

  17. 23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.
24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.
25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

God always sent messengers for his people to return unto and repent of their ways. When they would not, the time for judgement comes. Verse 26 says the wicked men set traps & snares and catch men. This sounds like today’s world. The church must arise and be the beacon, drawing attention to our great God. We must declare his works, miracles, mercy and love. Many souls are in the valley of decision, many are those dry bones in Ezekiel. The Lord knows through the beacon of this church, these souls will live. Pray for the harvest whether they are backsliders or brand new souls coming to his kingdom. Speak life into souls in this region!

  18. Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not: Fear ye not me? saith the Lord : will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone. Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest. Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.
    Jeremiah 5:21‭-‬25 KJV
Even thought they sin and the refused to put away their sins and repent GOD still didn’t completely destroyed them you see GOD always give us a open windows he always give more the one change to repent you see these people stop fear the Lord the refuse to listen to GOD people when you get to the point when you don’t fear GOD anymore that when you really have problems because he the creator of all he made everything the heavens and earth is his and all belongs to him
Later on in the chapter you see GOD Waring them come back to me don’t let you sin rob you from a blessing GOD love us and he wanted to blessed us but we have put away the things that block us from getting bless

  19. 22. Do you not realize who I am? Do you not fear Me? Do you not shake in the presence of the Eternal, the Creator of all things? It is I who has drawn for all time the boundaries of the sea. The waves may crash and roar against the sand, But the waters do not cross the lines I have drawn. Voice

Wow! As the wise man said “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” God is in control and should be feared and respected with reverence and awe.

  20. 30 A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;
31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

Just like today, wonderful and horrible things are being done, and what shall we do about it?
John the Baptist had a great idea, “Repent! For the Kingdom of God is at hand!”

  21. 25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

To live your best and blessed life you must cut out the things that would keep you from the things of God! Don’t allow sin to steal your blessings!

  22. This passage is a clear indictment to any who would suppose that as long as they live their own life in the fashion that God desires, that nothing else really matters… that everyone else should be capable of reaching and making the same decision. ‘Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it. And though they say, The Lord liveth; surely they swear falsely.’

God expected his people to be noticed! He knew whom those people were, but the prophet did not… neither do those in the world that are seeking. His charge was to see if he could actually find any evidence of those that lived their life for him. Are they making enough of a difference that they can be noticed? In God’s eyes, if we’re not even noticed then the declaration from our lips that we serve him is no better than a lie. He expects his light to be seen in the darkness! That is why we’re here, to represent him! He didn’t say they had to be perfect… but he did expect them to be known for seeking after the truth. Because it was not just about them any more than it’s just about us… when people are hungry, God wants them to know where they can go to be fed. He wants his people lifting him up so that he might draw all unto himself!

  23. 22 Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

  24. 4 Then I said, “But what can we expect from the poor? They are ignorant.
They don’t know the ways of the LORD. They don’t understand God’s laws.

What does one’s income have to do with knowing God? Nothing at all. Many times we judge the poor because they drive an old car, live in a old home, not dressing up for church, etc. We seem to think because they are lacking dollars, they surely are lacking spiritually also.

Your income level has nothing to do with how powerful your praise, prayer and worship life is. Whether your poor or rich, your relationship with God will determine if you enter into the Kingdom of Heaven!

  25. 22Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.
24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

    The absence of fear.

As we begin the theme of The Kingdom Come, we read here the about the absence of the fear of the Lord. When we talk about fear, our minds go to the negative side of fear. You know, the fear of darkness, of being alone, snakes, spiders, ect… yet fear also means respect. We respect that some snakes are poisonous, we respect that being high up, if you fall will cause harm. The Fear of God doesn’t mean fear in the negative sense, but rather in the respectful sense. As our King, we must respect his house, his reign, his kingdom. As we see here in the passage, Israel had lost their respect/fear for the Lord. Our God is jealous because he created us, therefore he wants to be the center of attention in our lives. How can we live a holy, separated life that is pleasing to God, if we don’t make him the center of our hearts/kingdom. Let His Kingdom reign in your life.

  26. 22 Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

  27. Josiah: 31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
Israel, not only rebelled from God’s teachings and words and committed sin, they loved how things were going on. Proverbs 12:5 says “The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels if the wicked are deceit.” Proverbs 10:28 says “… but the expectation of the wicked shall perish”. God did not die on the cross for us to be wicked. He died so our sins would be forgiven. He wants a relationship with us. As Leviticus 20:26 says “And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy…” So, let us GO be A LIVING EXAMPLE to this world of a Christian living for God!

  28. 4 Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God.

5 I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the Lord, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

One is foolish if they know not the ways of the Lord. And Him that knows God great is he. If one seeks to be a great person he should know the Lord. There is no one greater that Him, and in Him are all the secrets of life.

  29. Jeremiah 5:21 (English Amp). Hear now this, O foolish people without understanding or heart, who have ears and see not, who have ears and hear not; Isaiah 6:9 -10 And He said, Go and tell this people, Hear and hear continually, see continually, but do not apprehend with your mind. 10) Make the heart of this people fat; and make their ears heavy and shut their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their hearts and turn again and be healed. O what Mighty God we serve. Let your Kingdom come.

  30. Lord , you are searching for honesty. You struck your people, but they paid no attention. You crushed them, but they refused to be corrected. They are determined, with faces set like stone; they have refused to repent. Then I said, “But what can we expect from the poor? They are ignorant. They don’t know the ways of the Lord . They don’t understand God’s laws.
    Jeremiah 5:3‭-‬4 NLT

  31. BATTLE OF THE MIND
    PART 1 of 2

“But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone. Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest. Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭5:23-25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In this passage the people had a rebellious “HEART”. According to Strong’s “Heart” means – inner man, mind, will, heart, understanding.
So the people’s mind/will was in rebellion against God’s agreement. As a result of fulfilling their OWN WILL and going against GOD’S WILL they had a spiritual loss. If Jesus isn’t Lord of ALL then He isn’t Lord at all. Thy KinGdOm come. Thy WILL be done in EARTH, as it is in heaven.

“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    • KEYS TO THE KinGdOm!
      PART 2 of 2

We have the keys to win the battle of the mind. It is a sound mind!

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
      ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

      Sound mind means – discipline, i.e. self-control
God has given us the keys of power, love and Self-Control! You have this key right now. Use it!! We are not under the agreement or the law of this world. We are under the agreement or the law of God. We can no longer use the excuse “I’m not perfect” or “I can’t do that it’s too hard, I’m only human”
We have self control and when our mind/will gets out of God’s order we can bring them back into His agreement.

“And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  32. 31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

I thank the Lord above that our bishop allows only certain people to come speak to us, and no one has ever bore false witness but it has always come to pass. The Lord doesn’t allow just anyone to speak the spirit of Prophecy, and that doesnt stop people from trying. We must be careful and accountable to our Pastor who speaks to us claiming that spirit.

  33. 31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

What good is a false prophet? Believing in a lie will defiantly take you somewhere you don’t want to go. We have to allow the spirit of God to flow but every word has to be judged. If someone prophecies over you you should take that word straight to Pastor and let it be judged. Infact if you have a prophetic word for someone go ahead take it to the man of God first.

  34. 5 I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the Lord, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

6 Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.
7 How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots’ houses.

Be careful to to alll other things to turn your appetite from the things of God to the things of this world. We are here to establish His kingdom upon the earth and in His Kingdom our desires are His desires and not our own.

  35. Lord , you are searching for honesty. You struck your people, but they paid no attention. You crushed them, but they refused to be corrected. They are determined, with faces set like stone; they have refused to repent.(Jeremiah 5:3 NLT)

The Lord is always searching for people that are willing to surrender there ways and to be faithful to him and to all of his regulations. Sometimes God will punish his people for what wrong they have done or if they continue to be disobedient and stubborn hearted towards his regualtions but they refuse to paid no attention to his instructions. God will also correct his people because he loves his people and he knows that they have a purpose for him to use them but the refuse to be corrected. We allow our hearts and faces to be harden like stones so that we cant admit to ourselves to repent before God.

  36. v25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

The devil is a cruel task master who knows his destiny and true to take everyone with him to that everlasting place of torment.
JESUS declared that the devil is the father of evil people .
We certainly would not want to be a part of his family tree.

GOD requires separation from the world and sin to be called HIS child.

  37. Jeremiah 5:12-13
They have lied about the Lord; they said, “He will do nothing! No harm will come to us; we will never see sword or famine. The prophets are but wind and the word is not in them; so let what they say be done to them.”

There’s a false belief that believers struggle with, it is to believe that we mistake Gods mercy for his permission. Many a things we have done that have brought shame to Him and his kingdom, yet he as a loving father has pardoned much.

May we learn to be faithful as he is faithful, righteous as he is righteous and learn to live holy as He is holy!

  38. Beware!

““They’ve spread lies about GOD. They’ve said, ‘There’s nothing to him. Nothing bad will happen to us, neither famine nor war will come our way. The prophets are all windbags. They speak nothing but nonsense.’””
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭5:12-13‬ ‭MSG‬‬

When people just dismiss the man of God’s talking without thought they miss something. God has given us our men and woman of God for a reason. Listen and pray about what is said. Change misconceptions and wrong doings.

  39. 7 How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots’ houses.

It is sad how some people only come to Jesus when they need something. Let us seek And praise Jesus at all times!

  40. 24 They do not say from the heart, ‘Let us live in awe of the Lord our God, for he gives us rain each spring and fall, assuring us of a harvest when the time is right.’
25 Your wickedness has deprived you of these wonderful blessings. Your sin has robbed you of all these good things. (NLT)

Where do we speak from? God wants to hear it from our hearts!

  41. 25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

We can’t earn our way to God by being a good person. We also cannot just believe without works. Faith without works is dead. Faith and a life surrendered and focused on God will result in a blessed life.
Are we stuck in the wilderness, wandering because of our weak faith? Do we find ourselves going in circles and seeing the same things over and over again?

God desires to bless His children! Just like an earthly Father wants to bless his child, but can’t when the child is rebellious or ignoring him. God is our Father, He will discipline those He loves not to harm us, but to bring back the sheep into the fold.

  42. 10 Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the Lord‘s.

Multitudes are ruined by believing that God will not be so strict as his word says he will; by this artifice Satan undid mankind. Sinners are not willing to own any thing to be God’s word, that tends to part them from, or to disquiet them in, their sins. Mocking and misusing the Lord’s messengers, filled the measure of their iniquity. God can bring trouble upon us from places and causes very remote. He has mercy in store for his people, therefore will set bounds to this desolating judgment. Let us not overlook the “nevertheless,” Jeremiah 5:18. This is the Lord’s covenant with Israel. He thereby proclaims his holiness, and his utter displeasure against sin while sparing the sinner, Psalms 89:30-35.
