Jeremiah 30

The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,

Thus speaketh the Lord God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.

For, lo, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the Lord: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

And these are the words that the Lord spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

For thus saith the Lord; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.

For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:

But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the Lord; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

11 For I am with thee, saith the Lord, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet I will not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

12 For thus saith the Lord, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.

13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.

14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.

15 Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.

16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.

17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

18 Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.

19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

20 Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.

21 And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the Lord.

22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

23 Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.

24 The fierce anger of the Lord shall not return, until he hath done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.

  1. 1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,

2 Thus speaketh the Lord God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.

3 For, lo, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the Lord: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

Jeremiah is to write what God had spoken to him. The very words are such as the Holy Ghost teaches. These are the words God ordered to be written; and promises written by his order, are truly his word. He must write a description of the trouble the people were now in, and were likely to be in. A happy end should be put to these calamities. Though the afflictions of the church may last long, they shall not last always. The Jews shall be restored again. They shall obey, or hearken to the Messiah, the Christ, the Son of David, their King. The deliverance of the Jews from Babylon, is pointed out in the prophecy, but the restoration and happy state of Israel and Judah, when converted to Christ their King, are foretold; also the miseries of the nations before the coming of Christ. All men must honour the Son as they honour the Father, and come into the service and worship of God by him. Our gracious Lord pardons the sins of the believer, and breaks off the yoke of sin and Satan, that he may serve God without fear, in righteousness and true holiness before him all the remainder of his days, as the redeemed subject of Christ our King.

  2. 14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.

15 Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.

Can we push God away with the abundance of out sin? Gods Word the Israel was a hard word. The things they worshipped in place of God, had gotten to a pinnacle. We can be thankful today, his grace abounds but also people think that because Gods wrath has not fallen on them they can keep doing sin.

Judgement is reserved for one day,if we keep sinning and nothing happens against us, it’s Gods way of showing grace and mercy, desiring that you come to repentance. Hopefully not to late!

  3. This chapter is captioned in the ERV “Promises of Hope”. Verse 3 ERV says “Do this because the days will come”—this message is from the Lord—“when I will bring my people, Israel and Judah, back from exile.” This message is from the Lord. “I will put the people back in the land that I gave to their ancestors. Then my people will own that land again.” It is time for us to take ownership of our hope and our promise as the song that we sing says:

My life is in You, Lord
My strength is in You, Lord
My hope is in You, Lord
    In You, it’s in You

I will praise You with all of my life
I will praise You with all of my strength
With all of my life, with all of my strength
All of my hope is in You

  4. 19. Songs of joy and gratitude will rise from the people. I will bless My people and increase their numbers; nothing will diminish them.
I will honor them in the presence of others; no one will despise them. Voice

    Psalm 23:
    5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

    6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. KJV

  5. THY KINGDOM COME
    THE LORDS CHOSEN

17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

The promises of GOD build the foundation of the Kingdom of GOD. As we understand the value of HIS Kingdom the more passionate we will seek First HIS Kingdom. Often our daily choices are based on the value system. Whats in it for me? How will this help me? How will this hurt me? Will this make me better?

However, we witness here that even when it appears that “The Church” has nothing to offer, “The Kingdom of GOD” is filled with promise. Health and healing, GOD in HIS infinite LOVE for man, is going to heal the wounds that HE inflicted. GOD will restore the heart that HE diminished. As we humble ourselves to JESUS and serve the LORD with gladness, we will be healed and restored of every wound.

GOD chose us to Bless, we are THE LORDS CHOSEN. Lets GO today and walk, think, and act like it. GOD is faithful and we should be also.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo
    iBlessYouInTheNameOfTheLordJESUS

  6. 21 And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the Lord.
22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

At the forefront of our minds, should always be who we are and who we truly belong too. One of the mistakes that we as human beings make and that can cause us to make mistakes it’s forgetting Who you belong too. We are not of our own and we A royalty. I believe that when people said it is sometimes because they forget their God is, they lose focus on what pleases God and they seek to fulfill a less desirable venture. Almost every time the children of Israel sand after escaping Egypt it was because they forgot who they are God was.

  7. 22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God

24 The fierce anger of the Lord shall not return, until he hath done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.

Often we look at people or institutions wondering why they did what they did. Why they acted that why or presented those thoughts that are far from what they do or think. However I am thankful that unlike people or companies or counties, God’s motives are clear. He does what he does from before the foundation of the Earth to After the last amen, so that he can have a people and he can be their God. So when his fierce anger goes out, just like his word it does not return until it has preformed the intent of his heart. Which is that we shall be his people and he will be our God. May we consider all that God has done and strive to be his people and church.

  8. 8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:

  9. iLove the Kingdom
14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.

The Lord will cause the Love of the World to pass away for the backslider in order to bring forth punishment. Backsliders never again find true happiness once they leave the Lord. God will always bring chastisement to his fallen saints. This is not because He hates them, but rather because He loves them. In Jesus Name.

  10. I Love To Worship The Lord
One of the most critical prophetic sections in the entire Old Testament . This cluster of prophecies was given in the last 18 months of the siege of Jerusalem . In it Jeremiah reveals a stunning vision on Gods plans for his peoples future. First God will bring Israel and Judah back from captivity and restore them to the end. After a time of terrible trouble Gods people will be freed from every oppressor and ruled . Israels spiritual wounds will be healed and Jerusalem will be rebuilt

  11. 22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

There is nothing more special than for God to claim you as His own. When God sets you apart and calls you unto Himself there is a special anointing that comes with it. But it dosnt stop there we must also claim ourselves as Gods people and obey His commandments if we are to truly be the people of God.

  12. 11 For I am with thee, saith the Lord, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet I will not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

  13. 19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

This is evidence of what “praising your way through” will bring. Out of their mouth shall proceed “thanksgiving” and the voice of them that are merry.

Every situation is not perfect, but we can change the face of the situation, the atmosphere of the situation by what we speak and do. PRAISE your way through!!! God will be faithful, He cannot lie, He will see you through victoriously.

  14. Jeremiah 30
17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

    A Baby Changed Everything.
For He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities.
He came to restore ,to heal,to set free. That Silent night in Bethlehem a Baby made an entrance into the world just to bring heslth, peace, life to a world that rejected Him. Oh what a difference this Baby made. Only the Savior of yhe world can heal deep rooted wounds. He does restore and heal.
    Yes a Baby changed everything.

  15. Jeremiah 30:11
“For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.”

God is with us to save us, but the only way He can truly save us is to correct (chastise) us for our sins.
    Hebrews 12:6-11 says…
    6) For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
    7) If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
    8) But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
    9) Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
    10) For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
    11) Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous; nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

  16. 16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured, and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity, and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey. GOD CAN TURN ANY SITUATION AROUND, WE MUST STAY FAITHFUL TO HIM..

YOUR KINGDOM COME( your Power, your dominion , your glory, your healing, your punishment, your JUSTICE, your conviction in our hearts, your pureness, your deliverance , freedom..)

    YOUR WILL BE DONE…!

  18. 22 You will be my people, and I will be your God.” (NLT)

Hallelujah we have a God who has chosen and called us. Even when we mess up, we can call out to Him for deliverance, but just like this chapter says, we can’t expect to get off free. We can expect deliverance though if our hearts are right! “You are my God, You are my King!”

  19. 11 For I am with thee, saith the Lord, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet I will not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

I’m thankful for a God who will not only Save Me but also Correct Me!

  20. Josiah: 16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.
Our God is a merciful God. Our God is a strong God. Even after Israel’s wrongs God still made it possible for them to eventually be able to worship Him. They were in captivity and as the Word says “they that spoil thee shall be a spoil”. Yet I do not need to wait until I get out of captivity. I can be a worshipping vessel. Let us GO PRAISE THE LORD for already overcoming our enemies!

  21. 22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

Thank you Jesus I am yours and you are my God! Never will I forget that you are the creator of the heavens and the earth for all things were created by you and for you… so I was created by you so I will be for you in worship and outreach and I will be a labour!

  22. One of the many things I admire about God is that He tells it like it is; He is balance in perfection.
    He gives hope:
“So do not be afraid, Jacob, my servant; do not be dismayed, Israel,” says the Lord . “For I will bring you home again from distant lands, and your children will return from their exile. Israel will return to a life of peace and quiet, and no one will terrorize them.
    Jeremiah 30:10 NLT

But He does not give false hope. He tells the whole story:
For I am with you and will save you,” says the Lord . “I will completely destroy the nations where I have scattered you, but I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you, but with justice; I cannot let you go unpunished.”
    Jeremiah 30:11 NLT

One of the problems with the denominal church world is that it leads converts to believe they can expect all roses and no thorns from this life. Many teach that you can live a life of sin without condemnation or negative consequence. People are given a false hope of a carefree life, and when problems come, they are disillusioned.

The false prophets of Jeremiah’s days were like this. They promised the people there would be no war; and when war came, they promised a quick deliverance. God’s prophets, however, tell the whole Word of God:
This is what the Lord says: “Your injury is incurable— a terrible wound….I have wounded you cruelly, as though I were your enemy. For your sins are many, and your guilt is great. Why do you protest your punishment— this wound that has no cure? I have had to punish you because your sins are many and your guilt is great. I will give you back your health and heal your wounds,” says the Lord . “For you are called an outcast— ‘Jerusalem for whom no one cares.’” There will be joy and songs of thanksgiving, and I will multiply my people, not diminish them; I will honor them, not despise them. They will have their own ruler again, and he will come from their own people. I will invite him to approach me,” says the Lord , “for who would dare to come unless invited? You will be my people, and I will be your God.”
    Jeremiah 30:12‭, ‬14‭-‬15‭, ‬17‭, ‬19‭-‬19‭, ‬21‭-‬22 NLT

  23. 11 For I am with thee, saith the Lord, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet I will not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

After the punishment of captivity, God gives them the promise of restoration to the lands and home again. A promise to lift them up in the eyes of their adversary. The people now must return to their God in their hearts, minds and ways. We can choose to rejoice in advance! Praise breaks those yokes.

  24. And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the Lord . And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
    Jeremiah 30:21‭-‬22 KJV

The goodness of God leads us to repentance. We love Him because He first loved us. Jesus loved us first, and He died for us while we were yet sinners. He called us, and drew us, and knew us, and loved us into the Kingdom. We should do the same for the lost.

  25. The fierce anger of the Lord shall not return, until he hath done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.

God is patient, full of love, mercy but there comes a point where if we don’t listen God will call our attention till we hopefully realize and come to our senses that we need him. Jesus has to open up our eyes and help us understand that consequences of when we’re not submitted. One thing I have learned is learn from other people’s mistakes!!! I have learned to completely walk in the HG and do everything thru the HG!!! We either learn the easy way or the hard way!!! Lord help me listen to you me voice daily and not curse my family or those around me!!

  26. 22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

He is God and we are not! We are His people, created by Him to worship Him and to live for Him! He is our God, He protects, corrects, forgives and loves us. We cannot do what He does, for He is God and we are His people!

  27. Don’t Worry About Your Enemies

God will fight your enemies. We must remember that we win, if we will trust and follow God. He is all that we need. He is our way maker, our strength, and our God and KING. We live in his KINGDOM, therefore we are the King’s servants and we live behind the walls of His Kingdom. We live in the grace and peace that is his Kingdom. So let his Kingdom Come.

  28. We see God’s desire to his people in this passage: ‘out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry.’ His afflictions had a purpose and that purpose was a work from within. They needed to be thankful for what they had from him; and not just thankful but merry. They needed to have their joy back! With that thankfulness and joy restored, God could work with them ‘and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. Their children also shall be as aforetime…’ It was not just for them, their restoration weird bless their children!

We should never forget our underestimate the impact of our walk upon our children. They need to see our joy! They need to know our thankfulness for all God is doing! They need to see firsthand the desire of God in us, as this passage states so well: ‘And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.’ God wants a people whose desire is to serve him as their God! Not just a tradition, not just a grudging service, not just going through the motions, but a people who are truly thankful for the opportunity to serve and who take joy in it! Our children need more than a set of rules, they need an example of loving devotion to our God!

  29. And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them. And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the Lord . And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
    Jeremiah 30:19‭-‬22 KJV

This should be my desire; even when I’m going through trials. To be thankful and merry knowing that God is testing me. I know that He does this to test my integrity and my willingness to seek Him out and not turn to the world. My son should see God in me and every person that I come in contact with: No matter my situation should see the blessing that God has given me in the fact that I’m still here. Why don’t I see it then? What has to happen for me to see God as my Lord? Nothing does; I have to see it, live it and walk in it. I’m very thankful for what God has done in my life. It is up to me and has always been up to me to seek God first. Thank you Jesus for saving me and bringing me back from the brink of death. Thank you Jesus for my wife, son and daughter. Thank you for our church and the leaders in our church. Just simply thank you Jesus.

  30. 17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

As I read this passage it occurred to me that God doesn’t desire for us to be sick, in pain, none of that does he want for us, we ask God to heal us but then we turn around and take a pill, or get a shot, we put our trust in this little pill with so much power, how can God heal us when we trust in everything else but him, The children of Israel, they didn’t have the magic lil pill in a bottle, that takes away the pain for 2 hours, they only had one way to get healing and that is to put their trust in God, I saw this morning the consequences of trusting in a pill, but I also experienced the Love of God and the healing when I was crying and my body was wanting the pill and I refused! Did I have to text First Lady…YES, But did God show up? Yes! He promised..For I will restore health unto thee!
    iblessyouinthenameoftheLord

  31. v17 For I will restore health unto there, and I will hrak there of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called there an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeker after.

GOD cannot lie, because HIS WORD is so powerful! Thank you JESUS we have a promise GREATER than our ( my ) problems.
That’s why I can praise HIM!!!

  32. For in that day,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will break the yoke from their necks and snap their chains. Foreigners will no longer be their masters. For my people will serve the Lord their God and their king descended from David— the king I will raise up for them. They will have their own ruler again, and he will come from their own people. I will invite him to approach me,” says the Lord , “for who would dare to come unless invited? You will be my people, and I will be your God.”
    Jeremiah 30:8‭-‬9‭, ‬21‭-‬22 NLT

  33. There will be joy and songs of thanksgiving, and I will multiply my people, not diminish them; I will honor them, not despise them.(Jeremiah 30:19 NLT)

The Joy of the Lord is our strength and if it wasn’t for the Lord we wouldn’t exist we should honor him by giving him thanks. Appreciating God for who he is and his actions for us in creating us and sustaining our lives.

  34. 10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the Lord; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

The judgment of God can be terrifying and painful but the Lord wants to redeem her. After all they have endured God will give them rest. It sounds strange to think that it a foreign land you can be a peace or rest as an captive. He desires those that have been carried off to return to him.

  35. 17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

The blessing of being the children of God. When he restores it’s not just back to how it was but blesses you with more .

  36. 17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

In God there’s hope. He wants to save us.

  37. For my people will serve the Lord their God and their king descended from David— the king I will raise up for them. “So do not be afraid, Jacob, my servant; do not be dismayed, Israel,” says the Lord . “For I will bring you home again from distant lands, and your children will return from their exile. Israel will return to a life of peace and quiet, and no one will terrorize them. For I am with you and will save you,” says the Lord . “I will completely destroy the nations where I have scattered you, but I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you, but with justice; I cannot let you go unpunished.” I will give you back your health and heal your wounds,” says the Lord . “For you are called an outcast— ‘Jerusalem for whom no one cares.’”
