Ezekiel 2

And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.

And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.

And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God.

And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.

But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;

10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

  1. 7. It is vital you feed them My words, whether they choose to digest them or not, for they are a rebellious people.

    8. Listen to what I tell you, son of man. Do not follow their rebellious ways. Open your mouth and eat what I give you. Voice

It’s vital that those around us hear His Word, also; and has there ever been a more rebellious generation? We can’t allow ourselves to follow their ways, but we must always remember to “Be ye separate”.

  2. 7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.

We must continue to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ we can’t some people are going to listen and some are we don’t have to change ourselves or change what we doing just get people to listen but our GOD will be with
Look what the LORD done for me

  3. Verses 6-8 CEV “Don’t be afraid of them or of anything they say. You may think you’re in the middle of a thorn patch or a bunch of scorpions. But be brave and preach my message to them, whether they choose to listen or not. Ezekiel, don’t rebel against me, as they have done. Instead, listen to everything I tell you. And now, Ezekiel, open your mouth and eat what I am going to give you.” Same verses ERV “Son of man, don’t be afraid of the people or what they say. It is true: they will turn against you and try to hurt you. Their words will be sharp like thorns and will sting like scorpions. But don’t be afraid of what they say. They are people who refuse to obey, but don’t be afraid of them. You must tell them what I say, whether they listen or not. They are people who usually refuse to listen! “Son of man, listen to what I am telling you. Don’t turn against me like those people who refuse to obey. Now open your mouth to receive the words I will give you to speak.” We must trust in the Lord and share God’s truth with everyone as Luke 12:12 says “At that time the Holy Spirit will tell you what to say.” We cannot allow fear to enter in because God will equip you with what you need.

  4. And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions, be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, for they are most rebellious.

  6. They are a stubborn and hard- hearted people.
But I am sending you to say to them,
This is what the sovereign Lord says!
    Ezekiel 2:4 NLT

In today’s era, there are a lot of man made religions and philosophies. It is important for us to know the (truth) of the apostolic doctrine.

  7. 6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.

8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

  8. THY KINGDOM COME
    RISE FOR THE KING

1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.
2 And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.
3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

As we GROW to recognize The KING of Glory for who HE is. We will grow in respect and awe for HIS WORD. Understanding the WORD of GOD, the Eternal Law of The KING of Kings is HIS unfettered instructions to us for Eternal LIFE with HIM. This understanding will cause us to RISE for The WORD of GOD. RiSE when the WORD of is READ. RISE when the The WORD of GOD is PREACHED. RISE every morning for devotion in The WORD of GOD.

The main reason that it is so important for us to RISE for the WORD of GOD is that when we RISE for the WORD of GOD, we display to HIM and reveal to the world that we are postured to fulfill the call and command of our KING JESUS.

If The WORD of GOD does not create in us a HUNGER for GOD and a DESIRE to fulfill HIS will, there is only reason. Carnality, the fruit of PRIDE. We are called to be at ATTENTION to and for the KING of Glory.

Are we missing benefits and blessings of GOD because we fail to RISE for HIS Word? Do we treat the KING and HIS Word like any other law. Or is the WORD of GOD the ultimate desire of our heart.

Lets RISE today to SHARE the Good News of the KING and HIS Kingdom to a lost, confused and dying world.

Lets RISE on Saturday for Outreach and SUNDAY for Church and The WORD of GOD. Seeking FIRST The Kingdom of GOD.

  9. Ezekiel 2:1-4 & 7 (NLT)
    1) Stand up, son of man, said the voice. I want to speak with you.
    2) The Spirit came into me as he spoke, and he set me on my feet. I listened carefully to his words.
    3) Son of man, he said, I am sending you to the nation of Israel, a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me. They and their ancestors have been rebelling against me to this very day.
    4) They are a stubborn and hard-hearted people. But I am sending you to say to them, This is what the Sovereign LORD says!
    7) You must give them my messages whether they listen or not. But they won’t listen, for they are completely rebellious!

Just like Ezekiel, God has chosen us (POFW) and is sending us on a mission to share His Message (the Gospel) with the city of Fort Worth. No matter whether they listen or not, we must still share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

  10. EAT THIS BOOK

8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

Every day we should be eating Gods word, the importance of it goes much further than just knowing the stories of the Bible. Know the principal is what you should be seeking. Like when it’s said to eat his words….well here’s an eye opener.

    THIS BIBLE IS HIS WORD.

It’s here to help cleanse our ways, to help cleanse our minds. Everything has to go through the kidneys before it gets to he heart. I’m calling your mind the KIDNEYS because why? Well I’ll tell you, the kidneys do this “Every day, the two kidneys filter about 120 to 150 quarts of blood“ I pulled that straight off of google.
Now I can understand how hard it is to force yourself to read every single day. Actually no I can’t, because I love eating this BOOK and it’s a PRIVILEGE to EAT THIS BOOK.

  12. …This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord . And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
    Ezekiel 1:28 KJV

And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me. And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel…
    Ezekiel 2:2‭-‬3 KJV

This is the progression of the Spirit’s work in our lives: down, up, out. First, comes the humbling revelation that brings us to our knees: He is the great and only God, and we are in need of His mercy and help. Then, He strengthens, supports, and emboldens us so that we can rise above our situation and circumstances and stand confidently in His presence. Finally, He sends us out to do His work of reaching others for His Kingdom.

  13. 6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

Be Not Afraid for The Lord Will Go With Us
Light pushing back darkness. Peace in the midst of chaos in Jesus Name.

  14. 3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.
4 For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God.
5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

The man of God who preaches or teaches his word get a variety of responses from the people. Some believe, some don’t. Some may have to mull it over and yet regardless of the response they get, they are charged by God to preach what He gives them. Whether you preach or teach, come will hear and some won’t. Prayer before service softens the heart and helps open the door so the word can accomplish what He set it to do. Pray for Pastor or whoever is preaching that they are anointed and can minister the word effectively.

  15. These words to the prophet speak to each of us today as we walk in the midst of a generation that does not really desire to hear about the Lord. ‘And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.’ We need not fear rejection from those who do not desire to live their lives for him. We cannot expect to be well received. Their words and their looks towards us may not be pleasant, yet the Lord still desires that ‘thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.’

God already knows their heart… these words however were not spoken to the people, they were spoken to a man who was going to speak of the Lord to them. We do not have to be a prophet to speak to the lost, neither are we expected to remain silent. God said, ‘But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.’ He expects us to partake of our DAILY BREAD and share it with those we come in contact with. We may not always have the opportunity, but if we’re not partaking to begin with then we will not have anything to share… in which case why would they return to us in need?. Our task is to cast forth the seed to whosoever will, not to judge the soil upon which it falls. Be BOLD, be STRONG, and SPEAK of the goodness of the Lord to all who will receive it in Jesus name!

  16. 10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.
Fear and sadness all at once!!!
OOOO JESUS!!! YOU ARE SO GREAT AND MERCIFUL

  17. 3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

This is a very good example: God has placed us “his vessel in the middle of the storm” we must stand firm in God’s word, we must stand firm against the things of this world. Our God created us to be overcomers, defeaters of this world.

5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

This tells me that we the children of God have an anointing, a light , I will even say it is our duty to share the gospel. An example: if we see someone drowning it is our duty to help them, because we do not want them to die. This is the same thing is is our duty as children of God to stop and rinder help to this world “to the lost”.We should not take offense with these individuals, actions They will push us away, but we are to stand firm in the word of God . We are to stay connected and follow the Holy Spirit .

  18. 1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.

4 For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God.

5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

Our responsibility is to respond when He speaks, do what He says, and then the responsibility lies with the hearer. It’s up to them to receive it or shun it just like in this chapter. Too many times if the word is not received we continually try to make someone do what is right, however if it’s not it their heart, then they will have to answer to God.

  19. 8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

God requires that we separate ourselves from a rebellious generation. This means God isn’t going to swoop down and eliminate all the appealing things that entice sinful desires around us. We are still living, breathing humans with a conscious choice of who we desire to be influenced by and follow after. Wi we serve ourselves, Sin or Jesus. It’s a decision God gives us and to turn from the things that can negatively impact us. God says he wants Ezekiel to eat his word, this will enhance his ability to serve God with the instructions God gives him. We have the privilege of 66 books of the Bible to learn God’s Word from and still some don’t care to read it . Without the nourishment of the Spirit the man spiritually dies. The connection is necessary for survival spiritually and is what separates from the worldly manner of living.

    Ezekiel 2:6‭-‬7 KJV
When we have a Word from the Lord, we should speak it boldly unafraid and unashamed. We should not let what others think, say, or do stop us from speaking for Him.

  21. iLove the Kingdom

“And whether they listen or refuse to listen—for remember, they are rebels—at least they will know they have had a prophet among them.”
    ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭2:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Wow, this passage of scripture is amazing for the fact that God doesn’t care if the people receive the Word or not. This should help all the preachers out there. Lol. We shouldn’t worry if the folks receive the word or not…we shouldn’t worry if the folks are stubborn or not… we should preach what saith the Lord and He will get the glory no matter what. PTL

  22. 8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

    9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;

Eat this word… You can’t share what you don’t know. We must first feed ourselves with the Word of God then share with others

  23. 1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.

4 For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God.

5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

Lest Ezekiel should be lifted up with the abundance of the revelations, he is put in mind that still he is a son of man, a weak, mortal creature. As Christ usually called himself the Son of man, it was also an honourable distinction. Ezekiel’s posture showed reverence, but his standing up would be a posture of greater readiness and fitness for business. God will speak to us, when we stand ready to do what he commands us. As Ezekiel had not strength of his own, the Spirit entered into him. God is graciously pleased to work in us whatever he requires of us. The Holy Spirit sets us upon our feet, by inclining our wills to our duty. Thus, when the Lord calls upon the sinner to awake, and attend to the concerns of his soul, the Spirit of life and grace comes with the call. Ezekiel is sent with a message to the children of Israel. Many might treat his message with contempt, yet they should know by the event that a prophet had been sent to them. God will be glorified, and his word made honourable, whether it be a savour of life unto life, or of death unto death.

  24. 8 “Only take care, son of man, that you don’t rebel like these rebels. Open your mouth and eat what I give you.”

Who cares what the world thinks?! We don’t consume what this world wants us to be but we eat what the Lord gives unto us! He gave us his word and we eat it daily then we go reach the souls in this world. Why let the world effect us when God is all we need, he is my hearts delight! Just because one or two people might not accept his word doesn’t mean we have to have the same attitute or let it change what we do, we have his word in us and knowing he has a plan for us and a soul that we meet is joy to my heart for he is planning/working mircles and blessings in lives! What an awsome God we serve!

Jeremiah 15:16 When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, Lord God Almighty.

  25. 6“Son of man, do not fear them or their words. Don’t be afraid even though their threats surround you like nettles and briers and stinging scorpions.

We all are sons and daughters of God. Fear not, for the Lord is with you. His spirit will give you words to speak, and will direct you to reach others. Don’t be afraid of what others will say or think, and never b ashamed that you are a follower of God.

  26. Josiah: 8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.
This reminds me of the church and the world. This world may be rebellious to the Lord. However the Church should NOT be rebellious to God. We should be loyal. Just because we are in the world like lambs among wolves does not make us of the world. God has something for each of us to do in HIS KINGDOM. We should not be rebellious! Let us GO LOYALLY AND FAITHFULLY while DOING what The Lord wants us to GO DO!

  27. But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

Here we see God sent a man to a rebellious people and warns that he not allow the rebellion that is running wild there to not taint him. His responsibility was to speak and eat the word.

  28. 8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

I will bless the lord and give him my whole heart and soul I am a child of God who will Not be rebellious and will be obideant to the voice of the lord

  29. v 5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, ( for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

This reminds me of this saying…
” The Foolishness of Preaching ” Preaching may seem foolish to scoffers, and nonbelievers , and some may even criticize the preacher.
The good news is that the hopeless and spiritually hungry person gladly receives the preached WORD of GOD.
In hearing and obeying the preached WORD of GOD will save us.
There is a difference in preaching and public speaking.
When GOD calls a person ( as HE called Ezekiel) there’s an unmistakable
holy action and anointing that falls upon that individual.
v5 “yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them”

  30. And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. J. SOLIZ

  31. 5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

This verse is confirmation to the preacher that God is with him with the words that he speaks. God wants to make it clear to the people that a prophet has been among them and that they should take heed to that prophet. Unfortunately this is a rebellious house and these people rebelled against God time and time again.

  32. 2 And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.
3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

We are the ezekial of this day, we are sent to reach and reach a rebellious people. In today’s society, they care nothing about the facts or the truth, they don’t care that they are wrong, that is why good emphasizes the importance of loving other people… Because it breaks down their guard and allow the truth to change them

  33. You must give them my messages whether they listen or not…
    Ezekiel 2:7 NLT

We are commanded to feed His sheep and spread His Gospel.

  34. And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or be terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people. You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious.
    Ezekiel 2:6‭-‬7 NIV
    https://bible.com/bible/111/ezk.2.6-7.NIV

A good scripture to remember to go and do outreach. It is our Duty to go and spread His word in our community. No matter how bad it may look we must recognize that God is with us where ever we go and who ever we talk to about His Love. We must not be afraid to speak because we never know if the next person we speak to might be a future preacher, teacher, pastor or the next soul winner! Don’t let fear keep you from doing what we are called to do.

  35. 1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.

2 And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.

Speak to me Lord speak to me.

  36. 1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.

4 For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God.

  37. Ezekial 2:6-8
must not be afraid to fulfill God’s mission, we must spread the Gospel everywhere we go to have Revival !

Isaiah 51:12 I, even I, am he that comforteth
    you : who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;
    Do not be Rebellious!

  38. And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

No matter what we have a prophet in our lives to tell us and warn us for when we are being rebellious. If we want to hear and obey is on us but God is so merciful I have noticed that He gives us many opportunities to come back to Him and listen but comes a point where God does something that shakes us and wakes us up if it’s not to late. Lord help me to always listen to hour commandments and follow your guidance. I will always follow you Lord because nothing else is better than living for YOU!!! This world has nothing in store for me!!

  39. “He said, “Son of man, I am sending you to the people of Israel. That nation has refused to obey me. They have turned against me. They and their people before them have been against me to this very day. The people I am sending you to are very stubborn. Tell them, ‘Here is what the Lord and King says.’ “They might listen, or they might not. After all, they refuse to obey me. But whether they listen or not, they will know that a prophet was among them.”
    ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭2:3-5‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

Prophets duty was to speak the Words of God. He wasn’t his responsibility if they listened or not. He just needed to sow the seed. We also have been commissioned to sow the seed of His Word. But we can also pray for it to fall on good soil.

“”Listen! Here is the meaning of the story of the farmer. People hear the message about the kingdom but do not understand it. Then the evil one comes. He steals what was planted in their hearts. Those people are like the seed planted on a path. Others received the seed that fell on rocky places. They are those who hear the message and at once receive it with joy. But they have no roots. So they last only a short time. They quickly fall away from the faith when trouble or suffering comes because of the message. Others received the seed that fell among the thorns. They are those who hear the message. But then the worries of this life and the false promises of wealth crowd it out. They keep it from producing fruit. But still others received the seed that fell on good soil. They are those who hear the message and understand it. They produce a crop 100, 60 or 30 times more than the farmer planted.””
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:18-23‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

“So you must go and make disciples of all nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And you can be sure that I am always with you, to the very end.””
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:19-20‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

  40. Don’t be afraid of them or of anything they say. You may think you’re in the middle of a thorn patch or a bunch of scorpions. But be brave
    (Ezekiel 2:6 CEV)

In this verse God is speaking to Ezekiel. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.(2 Timothy 1:7 KJV. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?(Romans 8:31 KJV)

  41. Ezekiel 2:6 (English Amp) And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words; through briers and thorns are all around you and you dwell and sit among scorpions, be not afraid of their words nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house. This chapter is when God Spirit enters Ezekiel body to go speaks to these rebellious people. Dont listen to rebellious people , Pray for them. God wants us to not be afraid of this world, He will be here with us always. Go spread the news to this world rather they listen or not . Ask God to lead you to a lost soul, Let your Kingdom come.

  42. 6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

    What an assignment from God….

These are hardhearted people, scorpions. There are briers and thorns on your way but go help them anyway.

God may not always put you in the most comfortable positions. We have to go where the sinners are to reach them. We have nothing to fear. God will make a way for us to prosper even in a dark time.

  43. Rebellion

Rebellion always takes you farther than you want to go. Often when you head down that path. Rebellion is often camouflaged making it difficult to spot until it is massive. By the time it reaches ridiculous per portions everyone can see it (whether there is a log, or a speck in your eye) and it is hard to get away from.

  44. 3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

Suppose this was you… God asked you to go amongst a people who were rebellious and didn’t want anything to do with God. Life is a series of problem-solving opportunities. The problems we face will either defeat us or develop us – depending on how we respond to them. Unfortunately, most people fail to see how God wants to use problems for good in our lives. We react foolishly and fight against our problems rather than pausing to consider what benefit they might bring. God is at work in our life – even when we do not recognize it or understand it.
