Ezekiel 6

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them,

And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.

And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.

And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.

And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

10 And they shall know that I am the Lord, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

11 Thus saith the Lord God; Smite with thine hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

12 He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.

13 Then shall ye know that I am the Lord, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.

14 So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

    Idolatry doesn’t have to be images, jewelz, riches…..idols can be very simple things that distract you from praising, worshiping, reading, loving GOD with your all, obeying the voice of GOD……..

    The remnant remains in order to tell your children’s children of the GREAT I AM. His mercy and love is shown here, despite of His anger, hurt, and jealousy.

    13 Then shall ye know that I am the Lord..

    you see this verse written multiple times in the word of God, and we are offered to come boldly before the throne of grace, there is a lot of emphasis placed on just knowing who the Lord is. I heard a scientist who was proving the existence of God, asking different atheist if Christianity were true would they become one, and these people who believed there was no God, stated that they would. Sometimes I believe Gods biggest issue with not having people believing in him are the ones that do, when we represent God in the wrong sense it can cause other to seriously doubt his existence. Jesus tells us that people should know of his love, by how we treat each other. in these days, people dont care about facts, regardless of the proof out there that shows there is a God, their problem is how Christians are supposed to love others but fail, and they find that unbelieving. IF people truly knew the God that we serve, we wouldnt have a problem winning people to Him.

    Don’t cause God to bring sorrow and destruction into your life to prove He is The Lord; recognize, acknowledge, and treat Him as God on your own and you will be much better off.

  5. After weeks of personal reflection and soul searching. I connect so well with why God is so angry in Ezekiel. I’m also reminded about the fact that in the last 4-6 months our church has been warned about the spirit of idolitry.

    It took me a moment to realize how sneaky this spirit really is. You see, God took me to the phrase “idol thought”. If I can easy define “idol thought” for all of us to understand it would be: a thought who’s origin is from a object of worship. Or the nature of the thought had characteristics of a false God.

    That worldly song, that worldly action your thinking about, or even that fear your thinking about can all lead you into a spirit of idolatry.

    2Corinthiand 10:5
    Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

    Philipians 4:8-9
    Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

    I say all this to say we must becarful not to fall into a life of idolatry. For it will lead us to distraction. Thanks be to God that He gives us His Word to think on that we may combat against thoughts that go against His nature.

    There so much power in the name of Jesus. So much power in the word of Jesus. There is so much power and control that HE has over US. We know that the SWORD is the word of Hod, and if you really think about it’s the word of God that leads someone to their salvation, their deliverance, their healing. It’s the WORD that brought you out of the dark. It’s the WORD that raised that bar of FAITH and you began to feel a touch from God. It’s the word that brought you a DIVINE intervention with the Lord.

    I pray today that we could use the sword (the word of God) to cut down every idol (addiction) and I pray that we could really see the privilege in serving the Lord today.

    Too often we take advantage of the fact that we can’t see God, so when it comes to doing any kind of wrong, we think no one knows. Then when it’s nearly too late or way too late, we realize the calamity we’re in. Don’t reach such a point, walk with God and let Him lead you in a life of righteousness and holiness.

    You idols can’t stand when you begin to be caught up in thing more the GOD that is an idol when we start put things first and GOD not in it that’s a idol our GOD is the first and the last and when we put things before him we are saying this more important than you GOD but those things will pass way. we can’t let our distractions keep us away from the kingdom of GOD. Because if you don’t watch out those distractions will become your gods

Cry out because of all the detestable sins the people of Israel have committed. Now they are going to die from war and famine and disease. Disease will strike down those who are far away in exile. They will know that I am the Lord when their dead lie scattered among their idols and altars on every hill and mountain and under every green tree and every great shade tree—the places where they offered sacrifices to their idols.”

    (13) They will know that I am the LORD when their dead lie scattered among their idols and altars on every hill and mountain and under every green tree and every great shade tree–the places where they offered sacrifices to their idols.

    Sad Reality
    It will be a sad day when all those who have once known the truth but have turned their backs on it meet Jesus on Judgement Day. We know that day is coming and there is absolutely nothing we can do to stop it. We can holler at folks, preach to folks, and reach for folks, but if they refuse to listen they will not escape the soon coming judgement of the Lord. The Word of has always and will always come to pass.

  11. 4 And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.

    Take down the idols in your life and build an alter to the King of Kings.

  12. 9 And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

    Gods hearts is broken at the idolatry of lhis world . We must guard every area of our life. There are wolves that come in sheeps clothing not everything everyone that looks good is good. Watch, pray and be sensitive to the leading of God. If anything has to be a secret or hidden this should be a great caution . Run from the very appearance of evil. There is not one thing nor anyone that is worth losing your soul over. Remember we are the Kings sons and daughters and His Kingdom is worth fighting for . I pray for those today who are washed in the blood who are filled with the Soirit that they can maintain integrity and remember who their God is. In Jesus Name.

  13. THY KINGDOM COME

    13 Then shall ye know that I am the Lord, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.

    I have focused most of my energy and thoughts about The Kingdom of GOD on the benefits that we are Blessed by when HE comes. However, we must also understand the judgement that accompanies HIS Glory.

    The Kingdom of GOD is Righteousness, Peace and Joy in the Holy Ghost. When we understand this absolute, we “fear GOD and keep HIS commandments”.

    In hear it from the mouth of the LORD here, GOD will again prove HIS sovereignty by HIS judgment. We must heed the warnings and acknowledge the signs, it is TIME to REPENT.

    Turn our heart, mind, life and soul to JESUS. HE will judge idolatry along with every person that is involved in it.

    TODAY

    Seek FIRST The Kingdom of GOD

    Turn away from sin, forgive everyone, wrong no-one and ask forgiveness.

  14. In the midst of all the trials and tribulations it is good to remember that God has a purpose in it all. ‘And they shall know that I am the Lord, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.’ He did not just send his prophets to declare his punishment for their iniquity. That time will come at the last judgment, but while we still have breath his purpose is to make a difference in our lives to the good! They were so caught up in the idiosyncrasies of their idolatry and prosperity that God had to act in a more direct fashion to get their attention back to where it needed to be… on him! ‘So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the Lord.’ And we see his purpose again: and they shall know… we need to truly know that Jesus is Lord and God of our lives. If we follow after him, his blessings will surely follow. We don’t have to go through the destruction that Israel went through to understand that he is God and needs to be Lord in our lives. Just seek him first and let him take care of everything else. If we will but do our part, he is ready and waiting to do the greater part in our lives! The first and greatest commandment begins and ends with him!

  15. 10 And they shall know that I am the Lord, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

    Nothing that the Lord says is in vain. He is so faithful nothing He says is in vain. Every promise! Every Word! Every Blessing! Every Curse! Lord help me keep your commandments so I can reap your blessings!

  16. “Proclaim this message from the Sovereign Lord against the mountains of Israel. This is what the Sovereign Lord says to the mountains and hills and to the ravines and valleys: I am about to bring war upon you, and I will smash your pagan shrines. All your altars will be demolished, and your places of worship will be destroyed. I will kill your people in front of your idols. I will lay your corpses in front of your idols and scatter your bones around your altars. Wherever you live there will be desolation, and I will destroy your pagan shrines. Your altars will be demolished, your idols will be smashed, your places of worship will be torn down, and all the religious objects you have made will be destroyed. The place will be littered with corpses, and you will know that I alone am the Lord.”

    At the mountaintop is where the shrines and idol worship took place. In this passage we see God over taking this wickedness to remind the people once more that HE alone is God. Things that they worship and put value in had no strength and were incomparable to the one true living God.

    Let us examine our hearts and allow God to show and reveal the mountain tops of our minds and hearts. If there is any wickedness, my prayer is that we take it vantage of the opportunity to repent and turn away from the wickedness. We serve the one true living God. Who is like Him who can compare? There’s no room for idols. Let us truly seek the kingdom of God first!

    Thank you Jesus for the dispensation of Grace. Your unmerited favor God is there every time we sin. Nothing we can do to deserve your love. What would be of us, had it not for His grace.

    God does not play around when he is angry about disobedience. He warns in love and mercy but eventually he judges in fury. We must be so careful to not take the mercy of God for granted and be obedient when he speaks to us.

  19. 10 And they shall know that I am the Lord, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.
    11 Thus saith the Lord God; Smite with thine hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.
    12 He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.

    And yet he will leave a remnant of people that will be scattered among other nations and they will remember the Lord their God. But it’s better to hear the word of the Lord and not harden your hearts, than to receive the fury of the Lord.

  21. 9 And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.
    10 And they shall know that I am the Lord, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

  22. Then your survivors will remember Me among the nations where they are taken captive, HOW I WAS CRUSHED by their promiscuous hearts that turned away from Me and by their eyes that lusted after their idols. They will loathe themselves because of the evil things they did, their detestable practices of every kind. And they will know that I am the Lord ; I did not threaten to bring this disaster on them without a reason.

    Our job as saints of the Most High God is to minister unto Him and to bless His name. Yet, when we allow our eyes and our hearts to wander, we hurt the One who is supposed to be the object of our affection. We cannot say we love someone whom we are deliberately crushing in order to indulge our own selfish lusts.

    Jesus spoke from the Cross, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do!” However, these Israelites had been warned. They were sent prophet after prophet, but did not heed. Their ignorance of God’s warnings was self-imposed because they refused to listen. They could have repented; they were given ample time to do so, but they preferred their sin.

    The Old and New Testaments are given to us for our admonition. They are our warnings. It’s time we become aware of how our actions affect others (especially our God) and repent accordingly. We cannot claim ignorance as an excuse. We cannot claim an inability to change as an excuse. (God would not call us to repentance if we were incapable of doing so.) It’s time we stop crushing the heart of God, as well as those close to us and our own Gospel witness, beneath the feet of our selfish adulteries and idolatries. It’s time we trample, rather, upon the serpents and scorpions in our lives. It’s time to examine our hearts, our eyes, and our choices.

    It’s time to:
    Bless the Lord , O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
    Bless the Lord , O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
    Bless ye the Lord , all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do HIS pleasure.
    Bless the Lord , all his works IN ALL PLACES of his dominion:
    Bless the Lord , O my soul.

    We bless Him through worship and obedience.

  23. 9 And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

    We continually have to remember the song/ phrase ” Be careful little eyes what you see.” The Bible tells us that the eye is the gateway to the soul, and all too often, what first enters through our eyes, gets lodged in our minds, and becomes idols or stumbling blocks, at the very least, for us.

    We must keep our eyes on Jesus. If we don’t we too become captives to what our eyes see, and as the idols are raised, we will drift further and further from Christ…

  24. 13 Then shall ye know that I am the Lord, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.

    14 So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

    The purpose of God’s punishment was not revenge, but to teach the people that He is Lord, and that He is the only way, truth, and life! Just like in Ezekiel’s day, people are still creating idols today, they’re taking money, lust, and power and making it into their “gods”. But punishment will come to all those that put anything ahead of God, so we must be carful of what we give our time to.

    And we must remember that the difficulties we face in life are to teach us that He alone is God, and that we need Him to make it!

  25. 3 And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

    The Word of The LORD……TO THE H ILLS, RIVERS, AND TO THE VALLEYS!!! MY GOD IS GREAT AND MIGHTY!!! NO ONE COMPARES!!!

  26. The Israelites had been straying from God for too long. They didn’t heed the warnings and still tried to go their own way like the Babylonians. As God prophesied before, they were destroyed. It seems that the Israelites have made God madder than any other society. He is coming with full vengeance. He will leave no stone unturned as He destroys all that these people have done without giving glory to the One who started it all. They turned their vision away from His vision. They sought to fulfill their own lusts. Give it to God so He can rejoice with us and we can entrust Him to fulfill His promises and vision for our church.

  27. 10 And they shall know that I am the Lord, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

    God does not threat empty promises. If God says, then it shall be so. If we would just submit to God and His will we would not have to worry about God having to punish us due to our disobedience.
    If we are continuously disobedient the only reason, God has not promised us the evil like shown in this chapter, is MERCY AND GRACE!! But there will be a day when God says no more and we will have to live with our consequences and the punishment God sees fit for us.

  28. 14 So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

    Sometimes it takes tragedy for people to wake up and realize that the judgement God pronounces is true. It behooves each of us to live right, holy and upright before the Lord. Provoke Him not to anger with our stupidity of ways. Align ourselves with His word, submit to Him and the authority He has placed in our lives that we escape His wrath.

  29. Ezekiel 6:1-3
    1) AND the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
    2) Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them,
    3) And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, and to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

    “Set they face toward the mountains and prophesy against them.”
    Why did the Lord want Ezekiel to set his face against the mountains of Israel and prophesy against them? Because the mountains and hill were where thy set up altars to pagan gods (idol worship).
    So I thought, “what mountains do we have to speak to in our lives, where we have placed things “idols” above God in our lives?”
    Jesus said in St. Mark 11:23, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” It’s time to set our face toward the mountains in our lives and prophesy against them (destroy the “idols” in our lives).

    It’s Time To Get KINGDOM Minded and KINGDOM Focused!!

  30. 4 And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.
    5. And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

    Broken altar and dead bodies are laying around because they are not able to do anything about it. Idols can’t stop anything. They can only take time, worshinp, and resources. You have nothing gained and you never receive ANY return.

    Then when death comes things are placed at the idol with no results. (Alcohol, promiscuity, drugs, TV never brought anything back from the dead—Jesus did!). Your idols can’t give anything back to you, on the contrary they can take your time, money, home, spouse, children, job… away from you!

    Let’s stop sacrificing everything for something that is not even real. Let’s turn and give that time, talent, and treasure to Jesus instead. He can work miracles with the little we have. He will give life instead of death. His word will not return void.

  31. Again a message came to me from the Lord : “Son of man, turn and face the mountains of Israel and prophesy against them. Proclaim this message from the Sovereign Lord against the mountains of Israel. This is what the Sovereign Lord says to the mountains and hills and to the ravines and valleys: I am about to bring war upon you, and I will smash your pagan shrines.

    We need to start speaking to our mountains and Waring against them. It doesn’t matter how big we may see it. We have to bring to prophesy against it. We serve the one that can remove mountains His Word says if we have faith of a mustard seed all we have to do is say for it to move.

    Jesus desires to bless us and to bring us through the trials and tribulations of our lives. He gives us a plethora of examples that shows just how he will bless and keep us when we serve him.
    He had shown just how he will curse those that willfully turn away. He lets them die by the very idols that they served and whole heartedly trusted in.
    This world cannot and will not safe us. It will use you , desert and destroy you as you foolishly clings to it’s idols that you thought would keep you.

  34. 5 And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

    What a revelation that dead church leads to dead spirituality and finally to physical death. When we put all our being into something it consumes us to the point it’s who we are and what we’ve become entirely. Living in sin and worshiping dead false idols will as this verde points out lead to an eternity in hell. We get one shot at dying right and if it’s not filled with the Holy Ghost and His righteousness then eternal life won’t be our final resting place. He gave clear instructions on the plan for salvation and when their ignored so is life.

  35. Then when they are exiled among the nations, they will remember me. They will recognize how hurt I am by their unfaithful hearts and lustful eyes that long for their idols. Then at last they will hate themselves for all their detestable sins (Ezekiel 6:9 NLT)

    When we do the same thing over and over and have been warned to not do it again we get bound by sin. It would be easy to think no one is going to find out that we are doing it still, but eventually we will get caught and will have to face the consequences for what we did. It can lead to being taken to jail and to pay our time for what we did. In this verse God is telling us that when we think that he’s not watching us and knowing what we are doing he well eventually punish us for doing somthing that’s not godly and is not of him because whatever is not of God it will crumble.

  36. I will crush them and make their cities desolate from the wilderness in the south to Riblah in the north. Then they will know that I am the Lord .”
    Ezekiel 6:14 NLT

  37. 9 And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

    10 And they shall know that I am the Lord, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

    Whatever the Lord said he will do shall come come to pass. It does not matter if it’s for good or chastisement. Believe in His words and fear him in honor.

  38. 14 So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

    We should never take God or his word for granted. He is a man of his word and he always keep his promises. What he done for others he can do it for you. God doesnt play favoritism, you will reap what u sow!!

  39. Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them, Ezekiel 6:2 KJV
    I remember being led of the Lord to prophesy to the city in England, the spiritual Darkness was so thick you could cut it with a knife so I suppose that’s what we did with the sword of the spirit. Another time the missionary to Japan was instructed to prophesied to the winds in Japan. A week later, we went to a prayer conference in Singapore and Rev klinedinst prophesied that God had given the missionary authority over the four winds of his nation, not knowing that they had just done it the week before.

  41. v4 And your altars shall be desolate and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before idols.

    There is no escaping Gods judgement., We should live with a continual and consistent diet of things of GOD,feeding our spiritual nature .

  42. God wants to turn some things around in our life. He can only do that if we allow him to. Our willingness to let God change us, gives us the strength to endure what’s ahead.

  43. 3 And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

    The lord has all power and authority and when his word is declared all will hear! My God is mighty and merciful!

  44. You choose the sacrifice

    5 And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

    There is a choice to be made every day that we awake, whether to sacrifice unto God or into the world. When we put too much value in what the world has to offer, we choose to sacrifice our time talent and treasure to it. When we do this, the things that we are doing may not be sin by themselves but when they are linked with not doing what we are called they are sin. We choose to sacrifice to the wrong altar we choose to sacrifice our children both naturally and spiritually. Help us God to discern what is really important and to make the sacrifices to the only God that is real.

  45. This chapter in the MSG version shows how judgment is now coming upon them. Ezekiel 12:23-25 MSG says “Tell them, ‘God, the Master, says, This proverb’s going to have a short life!’ “Tell them, ‘Time’s about up. Every warning is about to come true. False alarms and easygoing preaching are a thing of the past in the life of Israel. I, God, am doing the speaking. What I say happens. None of what I say is on hold. What I say, I’ll do—and soon, you rebels!’ Decree of God the Master.”

  46. 13 Then shall ye know that I am the Lord, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.

    What a disgrace, to be found dead amongst the idles you worshiped and expected to protect you. God is the Living God, and He is also the Loving God. He wants a relationship with people, but, like us, He wants a relationship with those who honor Him and believe Him. God is also a jealous God. How does God display an emotion such as jealousy?

    The marriage relationship is one way to understand the difference between sinful jealousy and righteous jealousy. A husband who responds with anger simply because he sees his wife talking to another man shows unreasonable domination and self-centeredness—sinful jealousy. Selfishness and insecurity control his possessiveness, rather than a commitment to his wife and the sanctity of their marriage vows.

    No dedicated husband or wife having integrity wants to share their spouse with a substitute—neither does God. God expects our exclusive devotion. When we give preference to anything instead of God, it is idolatry. We are committing spiritual adultery and God displays divine jealousy.

  47. 8“But I will let a few of my people escape destruction, and they will be scattered among the nations of the world.

    The few that will be able to tell the horrible stories about the destruction of Israel. How terrible they will feel to remember what they saw. They will try to forget but will be unable too. Hopefully with time they will see their sins, and turn to God. It’s like God is giving them a second chance to make things right with him. Whenever you get a second chance in life, do what is right!

  48. Ezekiel 6:4 (English Amp) And your altars shall be made desolate and your sun – pillars shall be broken on pieces, and I will cast down your slain before your idols. [ Lev.26:30] And I will destroy your high places [ devoted to idolatrous worship] , and cut down your sun- images, and throw your dead bodies upon the [ wrecked] bodies of your idols, and My soul shall abhor you [ with deep and unutterable loathing. I will say yes , yes to God almighty, TAKE away all idols and build you a alter of the King of Kings.

  49. The king and the prince will stand helpless, weeping in despair, and the people’s hands will tremble with fear. I will bring on them the evil they have done to others, and they will receive the punishment they so richly deserve. Then they will know that I am the Lord .”
    Ezekiel 7:27 NLT

    How important it is to honor God and to acknowledge Him. Seek ye first the Kingdom… Interesting how, even though we are under the new covenant and under grace, if we turn from God and place idols before us those actions alone can still destroy us. God doesn’t have to pour out judgement, all we have to do is become so consumed with something other than God that it will in turn consume us…

  50. Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.

    A remnant of Israel should be left; at length they should remember the Lord, their obligations to him, and rebellion against him. True penitents see sin to be that abominable thing which the Lord hates. Those who truly loathe sin, loathe themselves because of sin. They give glory to God by their repentance. Whatever brings men to remember Him, and their sins against him, should be regarded as a blessing.
