Ezekiel 32

And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first day of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young lion of the nations, and thou art as a whale in the seas: and thou camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers.

Thus saith the Lord God; I will therefore spread out my net over thee with a company of many people; and they shall bring thee up in my net.

Then will I leave thee upon the land, I will cast thee forth upon the open field, and will cause all the fowls of the heaven to remain upon thee, and I will fill the beasts of the whole earth with thee.

And I will lay thy flesh upon the mountains, and fill the valleys with thy height.

I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the rivers shall be full of thee.

And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.

All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord God.

I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast not known.

10 Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall.

11 For thus saith the Lord God; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee.

12 By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed.

13 I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them.

14 Then will I make their waters deep, and cause their rivers to run like oil, saith the Lord God.

15 When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate, and the country shall be destitute of that whereof it was full, when I shall smite all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I am the Lord.

16 This is the lamentation wherewith they shall lament her: the daughters of the nations shall lament her: they shall lament for her, even for Egypt, and for all her multitude, saith the Lord God.

17 It came to pass also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth day of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

18 Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.

19 Whom dost thou pass in beauty? go down, and be thou laid with the uncircumcised.

20 They shall fall in the midst of them that are slain by the sword: she is delivered to the sword: draw her and all her multitudes.

21 The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.

22 Asshur is there and all her company: his graves are about him: all of them slain, fallen by the sword:

23 Whose graves are set in the sides of the pit, and her company is round about her grave: all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which caused terror in the land of the living.

24 There is Elam and all her multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which are gone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth, which caused their terror in the land of the living; yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit.

25 They have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with all her multitude: her graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword: though their terror was caused in the land of the living, yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of them that be slain.

26 There is Meshech, Tubal, and all her multitude: her graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, though they caused their terror in the land of the living.

27 And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, which are gone down to hell with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.

28 Yea, thou shalt be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shalt lie with them that are slain with the sword.

29 There is Edom, her kings, and all her princes, which with their might are laid by them that were slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down to the pit.

30 There be the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Zidonians, which are gone down with the slain; with their terror they are ashamed of their might; and they lie uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword, and bear their shame with them that go down to the pit.

31 Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army slain by the sword, saith the Lord God.

32 For I have caused my terror in the land of the living: and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain with the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord God.

And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, which are gone down to hell with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.

  2. Once again this chapter speaks of pride and its downfall. James 4:6 AMP says “But He gives us more and more grace [through the power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our faith and our gratitude for our salvation]. Therefore, it says, “God is opposed to the proud and haughty, but [continually] gives [the gift of] grace to the humble [who turn away from self-righteousness].” Galatians 6:4 AMP “But each one must carefully scrutinize his own work [examining his actions, attitudes, and behavior], and then he can have the personal satisfaction and inner joy of doing something commendable [a]without comparing himself to another.” Proverbs 13:10 AMP “Through pride and presumption come nothing but strife, But [skillful and godly] wisdom is with those who welcome [well-advised] counsel.” Don’t end up in the pit; but, rather take your place and seek God’s purpose in your life with joy.

    I was taught long ago that if you ask God what He thinks of you, he will let you know how he sees you, for me that has always been a sobering thought because only God knows everything about me and I didnt want to know how God saw me, but I believe its healthy to ask God to search us and see how he sees us, to see what greatness he has laid within us but i believe it should be with great caution that we ask, because sometimes we end up with the answers we didnt want, but a truth that we needed. When i do ask God, i try to be open to every good and bad that may be given to knowledge of where i stand and where i need to go

    One day, everyone will know who God is and see His glory and will fear Him.

This chapter the Lord is warning Necho king of Egypt which was by the river Euphrates at Carchemish, which Nebuchadnezzar the King of Babylon. All these people fighting against each other. God is our protection.

  6. 12. I will destroy your hordes with the swords of mighty warriors- the terror of the nations.
    They will shatter the pride of Egypt, and all its hordes will be destroyed. NLT

    12. I will use the swords of mighty warriors-all from the most ruthless nation on earth-to strike down your vast population.
    They will hack the pride of Egypt to pieces and slaughter her vast population. Voice

    One doesn’t intentionally shatter or hack to pieces something that just gets on their nerves a little; that kind of treatment is reserved for the things one despises, which shows God’s feelings towards Egypt’s pride.

  7. Ezekiel 32

    I’ll shake up everyone worldwide
    when I take you off captive to strange and far-off countries.
    I’ll shock people with you.
    Kings will take one look and shudder.
    I’ll shake my sword
    and they’ll shake in their boots.
    On the day you crash, they’ll tremble,
    thinking, “That could be me!”

    Father today I pray that those lost living a rebellious life would return to your Kingdom. Your word does not change . There is coming a day when you will pour out vengeance and nanny will be shocked. I pray God that I allow nothing to separate me from You. I pray that when I see others that have fallen. I will not glad at in their sins or day they are getting what they deserve. The prodigal son wallows in the mud and then returned I pray the many pridugalsvwill soon return in Jesus Name.

  8. And whe I destroy Egypt and strip you of everything you own
    and strike dow all your people, then you will know that
    I am the LORD. Ezekiel 32 : 15 NLT

    The love of God is unconditional ! His love and kindness are great. He used his servants (men of God) to speak through them. He uses his word to reach out in love, but if we are no willing to listen, he will use the circumstances to get our attention. That is to correct us and save us from destruction. That’s a true love.

    What came to my mind as I read these scriptures is this…
    We must remember that Pharaoh king of Egypt had lifted himself up and lifted up his heart (Ez. 31:10). He was full of pride and arrogancy. Therefore God “put him out”, and darkness filled the land.
    It’s a sad and dark day when we see our brother or sister fall because of pride in their lives.
    Also, when we see a brother or sister fall, it should put a “holy fear” in us. Especially when we see the Sword of God being brandished (waved as a threat or in anger) before us. It should cause us to tremble and Humble ourselves before GOD.

    The verse that came to mind was this… 1 Cor. 10:12, “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.”

    Repent and Pray everyday and keep yourself Humble before God.

    Ezekiel 32:19 KJV  Whom dost thou pass in beauty? go down, and be thou laid with the uncircumcised.

    Wow, when a nation makes God angry, He holds nothing back to humble it. Ezekiel paints a portrait of prophecy that will bring Egypt to it’s knees. In fact, since then, Egypt has not risen up from it’s fall. It’s been thousands of years since the actual prophecy was fulfilled and Egypt has not once risen again to a world power.

  12. 28 Yea, thou shalt be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shalt lie with them that are slain with the sword.

    The King of kings will reign! All these other kings and their multitudes put terror into the hearts of people, but the only terror I seek to know and be overwhelmed by is my terrible God as David said. Serve the King of kings, and humble yourself before Him – He will raise you up and give you strength!

    One day everybody will know who’s the Lord even pharaoh. I think Pharaoh represent those men that think they got it all figured out.

  14. “For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: “The sword of the king of Babylon will come against you. I will destroy your hordes with the swords of mighty warriors— the terror of the nations. They will shatter the pride of Egypt, and all its hordes will be destroyed. I will destroy all your flocks and herds that graze beside the streams. Never again will people or animals muddy those waters with their feet.”

  15. Pro 19:11 A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.

    In a digitally obsessed world, we’re used to having what we need immediately and right at our fingertips. Even further, we’re constantly busy. Our environment makes us think that we don’t have the time for any delays. So, how are we to be patient with people who offend us and even more with the Lord’s timing?

    Sometimes it’s hard to understand God’s perspective. He sees our lives differently than we do. For those who are parents or have experience with children can understand the perceived immediate need children have for a sweet treat sometimes. We however can understand the bigger picture of satisfying the immediate want of sweets will not satisfy the underlying need for actual food.

    We must keep in mind that God’s timing and His plans for our lives require us to prepare today for what tomorrow will bring. Sometimes, it is a time of harvest sometimes a time of sowing.

  16. 31 Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army slain by the sword, saith the Lord God.

    32 For I have caused my terror in the land of the living: and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain with the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord God.

    Pride and disobedience makes a big scene, and all it does is muddy the water and creates problems. I have often heard to ask yourself in tough situations “are you part of the problem or situation?” Or “are you addinf water or gasoline?” If we find ourselves bring more chaos to the situation need to find alter and repent. If we are the children of God we must be peacemakers.

    “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”

  18. Ezekiel 32:15 When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate, and the country shall be destitute of that whereof it was full, when I shall smite all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I am the Lord.

    A lot if the time the enemy will use guilt to stop us from working in His Kingdom. The enemy will either bring up our past or the mistake the we have commited. The devil is so quick to make us feel ashamed of what we have done. The good news is that all that has been washed away by the blood and all we need to do is repent and put in our mind that the devil has no power over us. God has already defeated him and we just need to praise Him for His mercy

  20. 29 “Edom is there with its kings and princes. Mighty as they were, they also lie among those slaughtered by the sword, with the outcasts who have gone down to the pit.

    No matter a position, title, or job we all have the reality of failing and falling. The kings and princes laid next to the outcasts. There was no difference. When it comes to God’s judgment we are all the same, and sin is sin.

    Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

    Sin has one outcome; death. However, we serve a merciful God who loves us.

    1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

    1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

    If our desire is for THY KINGDOM to come, we must be righteous. For as we read above the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom.

    12 By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed.

    As we learned Sunday Night the Sword and the Sickle are Instruments in the Kingdom. JESUS spoke to us about Harvest-time at The POFW and that we can lay aside our sword and pick up the siclkle to prepare for Harvest.

    We witness here another Kingdom Insrument the Sword being utilized to subdue a land and conquer a people. Notice when the people of GOD picked up their Sword The KING said that HE will cause the multitude to fall. As we are obedient in The Kingdom of GOD we will be BLESSED by both the Sword (VICTORY) and the Sickle (HARVEST).

    Lets GO Harvest today for the INCREASE of HIS KINGDOM.

  22. 2 Son of man, mourn for Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and give him this message:
    “You think of yourself as a strong young lion among the nations,
    but you are really just a sea monster,
    heaving around in your own rivers,
    stirring up mud with your feet.

    What is your attitude? Is your attitude full of pride, anger, grudge, or love, peace, and the HG? What type of seed are you planting? It’s dangerous to be full of pride and think you know it all because that’s not a teachable spirit. No one can teach you any hi g if you think you know it all already! I have grown so much spiritually every once I came to POFW but I never want to feel like I know it all because I never will. Gods Word is living and there is so many things to unveil. What I know and have learned is so I can help others, it’s so I can testify, it’s so I can be able to show others how God is so Real!!! Lord help our attitudes that we may always be humble and hungry for your Word!!

    Do not act like the sinful people of the world. Let God change your life. First of all, let Him give you a new mind. Then you will know what God wants you to do. And the things you do will be good and pleasing and perfect.God has given me His loving-favor. This helps me write these things to you. I ask each one of you not to think more of himself than he should think. Instead, think in the right way toward yourself by the faith God has given you.

    The Pharoah thought he was great and mighty when he was really just a creature in the sea and God had gotten so fed up with him he was ready to take out his net and trap Pharoah. We must understand our place and who we really are. We should keep the right spirit and attitude so God can do what he wants to do in us.

  24. GOD SPEAKS TO THE FAITHFUL

    On March 3, during the twelfth year of King Jehoiachin’s captivity, this message came to me from the Lord :
    Ezekiel 32:1 NLT

    Day after day of reading Ezekiel, I have noticed he almost always opens with either a date when God spoke or something like “again the Lord spoke to me.” Ezekiel sounds like a person with a daily prayer time and a journal. I don’t think God was in the habit of hitting Ezekiel over the head while he was doing other things and telling him to grab something to write with because today He felt like speaking. Rather, I feel like Ezekiel was in the habit of getting in a quiet place with writing instruments in hand and saying, “Here I am, Lord, what shall we talk about today?” Then Ezekiel would obediently write down the message and act on it.

    Many people don’t hear from the Lord like this. It is not because God doesn’t have anything to say; it is generally because we don’t make time to listen. Some people have complained that God used to talk to them, but He doesn’t any longer. This could be because they either rebelled against what He had said previously, or they failed to act on it. God gives us more when we are faithful with what we have already received.

    Day after day Ezekiel prayed, listened, and obeyed. Because he lived like this, God met with him day after day and gave him dreams and visions and revelations. What would God give us if we were faithful with what He has already given? What secrets would He share if we were faithfully attuned to listen–if we faithfully made time to listen? How much more could we be used by Him if we didn’t shrink in fear at the thought of repercussions should we obey? God gives more to the faithful; and from those who do nothing, He removes the opportunities they had to be used.

    He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. His Lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.

    His Lord answered and said unto him, …Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

    Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. …It is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

  25. 20 They shall fall in the midst of them that are slain by the sword: she is delivered to the sword: draw her and all her multitudes

    Oh that mighty sword ⚔️ I hope you got your sword the word here says “she is delivered to the sword” my sword is the Word and the Word is the Lord.

    I don’t know about yours but my Bible says the He is the Word! And that SHE IS DELIVERED TO THE SWORD
    “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

    So you might say okay Jackson where you going with this….well brothers and sisters the answer is clear. While we’re out here praying for deliverance for someone it’s as simple as their deliverance is in their hands. We can pray and we can pray but at the end of the day SHE has to WANT deliverance.

  26. 32 For I have caused my terror in the land of the living: and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain with the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord God.

    DONT PLAY CHURCH! There is no time to say oh… i’m gonna not go to church today i don’t feel like it. That is the worst thing you can do. I don’t play with God, because the Kingdom of God is about souls and winning souls to the Kingdom. God in verse 32 is saying look “don’t play around and be pagan and do the wrong things” because Jesus is the creator of everything and the truth and the way is through him.

AMP – 32 In the twelfth year [after King Jehoiachin of Judah was taken into exile by the king of Babylon], in the twelfth month, on the first of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, take up a dirge (funeral poem to be sung) over Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him,

    ‘You have compared yourself to a young lion among the nations,
    But you are like a monster in the seas;
    You burst into your rivers
    And disturbed and muddied the waters with your feet
    And fouled their rivers [the source of their prosperity].’”

    When carnality, pride and self righteousness reign in our lives, the Lord has to knock us down to our real self. He despises those things and as we see in the entire book of Ezekiel, God brings down those that oppose His way. It may look like the favor of God is upon people of this world, but in the end all must face the same God and when He gets tired of sinful, carnal was, He will execute judgement.

  28. ““Son of man, mourn for Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and give him this message: “You think of yourself as a strong young lion among the nations, but you are really just a sea monster, heaving around in your own rivers, stirring up mud with your feet.     When we begin to think more of ourselves than we ought, God has to put us in a situation to humble us. In a place where we have no other option but to rely on Him, In a place where we remember that He is God and we are not.

  29. When one considers the many prophecies against the kingdoms of this world, why would anyone want to be associated with them? Why would such temporary blessings be temping in comparison to all that God has promised to those who seek to be with him? No rational choice would appear to do so. No self seeking choice would even appear to do so. No one with the capability to think for themselves would appear to do so. No one WHO BELIEVES would appear to do so… but do they truly believe?

    When it really comes down to whether someone truly believes, there is perhaps an apparent disconnect. If they truly choose not to believe in God, there is not much we can do… even God doesn’t waste his time proving his existence. Nature itself declares his Majesty. So if they believe in God, the question arises do they really think they can ignore God’s Word? Did an almighty God in heaven choose to form such a marvelous creation and then just ignore it? Is it to be believed that a God who went to such detail to provide for all our needs in creation would somehow no longer care? If nothing we did in this life mattered, then why not strike down the offending angels and create us in perfection to take their place in heaven? What is the purpose of life down here if our choices don’t even matter… so they obviously matter to God!

    Since we’re also obviously not walking on those streets of gold, how do we expect to get there? God doesn’t just throw us to the winds and wish us the best of luck in our endeavors… he gave us his word as a guide for our journey. Would God go to such lengths to give us a perfect example to follow if that example didn’t really matter? Would he allow his creation to nail him to a cross if it didn’t serve a greater purpose? If God was willing to go to such lengths for us, it bears to reason he wanted to influence our decision. He wanted us to know that we are his choice… so IS HE going to be our choice? We’ve read of so many who chose their own way and reaped the judgment for that choice. If we ignore those examples and choose to follow in their footsteps as we ignore His Word, we have only ourselves to blame. We need to wake up to the reality of the choice and make the decision in our right mind to willingly serve the only one who cared enough for his creation to provide them a way to join him up in heaven! Show Jesus that he is truly the only choice that really matters in our life!

  30. 28“You too, Egypt, will lie crushed and broken among the outcasts, all slaughtered by the sword.

    The sword is used for combat to kill. The carnal world, police and military train men on the use of the sword. They never tell you anything different. Thank God,
    We have a pastor who tells us about the sickle. Who trains and prepares us to bring in the harvest.

  31. “‘ God , the Master, says: “‘The sword of the king of Babylon is coming against you. I’ll use the swords of champions to lay your pride low, Use the most brutal of nations to knock Egypt off her high horse, to puncture that hot-air pomposity. I’ll destroy all their livestock that graze along the river. Neither human foot nor animal hoof will muddy those waters anymore. I’ll clear their springs and streams, make their rivers flow clean and smooth. Decree of God , the Master. When I turn Egypt back to the wild and strip her clean of all her abundant produce, When I strike dead all who live there, then they’ll realize that I am God .’
    Ezekiel 32:

    Don’t ever think that The Lord doesn’t keep His word! To many take Him to lightly until that day when they’re facing hardship. I hope and pray that Souls will turn their hearts toward GOD and repent, beginning with me.

  32. 32 For I have caused my terror in the land of the living: and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain with the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord God.

    Every human will know who he is, and they will respect him, and praise him. He will have all the glory.

  33. 12 By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed.

    13 I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them.

    14 Then will I make their waters deep, and cause their rivers to run like oil, saith the Lord God.

  34. 11 For thus saith the Lord God; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee.
    God is in charge of the nations. He raises whom He will and He puts down whom He will.
    [Hab 1:6 KJV] 6 For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, [that] bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces [that are] not theirs.
    Just as God used the Chaldeans (Babylon), He also chose when to put them down.
    [Jer 50:9 KJV] 9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows [shall be] as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.

    [Psa 75:6-7 KJV] 6 For promotion [cometh] neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. 7 But God [is] the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
    This is true of nations and of individuals. God is still on the throne!

  35. 2 Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young lion of the nations, and thou art as a whale in the seas: and thou camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers.

    Don’t stop praying for the Lost!

    We know that Egypt is a type of the world, and pharaoh is king of Egypt. But this passages says to take up lamentations.
    As we continue to pray for the lost souls of this region, let us not forget why we are praying for them. It is that their souls might be saved. I have many friends who are lost. Some don’t know the truth at all, and some have fallen from this truth, none are more important than another. They all need my prayers for them, just as those who you know need your prayers for them. What if you are the only one praying for them? What happens when we stop praying, then no one prays for them? Dear God, help me to realize just how important my prayer is for the lost. We need all of His Kingdom to be here.

  36. In these chapters we are constantly hearing I am the Lord and that they may know that I am God. This shows us how far away from God they really are. A child does not have to hear his father say I am your father because they recognize their father’s voice, their fathers touch, and what their father looks like.

    It makes me wonder do we really know Him like we should? Do we Recognize his voice? Do we recognize the blessings of his touch? Do we even recognize and see when he is working on our behalf? If it is hard for us to see the hand of God working in our lives we may need to reevaluate how close we really are to him.

  37. Josiah: 31 Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army slain by the sword, saith the Lord God.
    The joy of the Lord is my strength. My assurance comes from God. My strength comes from God. My ability to overcome comes from God. Men have been tried over and over again and fail. When people trust in man they are setting themselves up for failure. When we trust in God we are setting ourselves up for victory. With God all things are possible. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. So, let us GO TRUST IN GOD for He is our rock and refugee! He is the one we can turn to!

  38. 10 Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall.

    It’s not that people will be afraid of Egypt for their great power, but instead the terrible hand of God is at work here. The day that a wicked nation falls all others stand watch in terror. They know that the very sin that drive their judgment can mean their own. They should look at this as a good reason to repent and warn others of the cost of sin.

  39. Ezekiel, son of man, condemn the king of Egypt and tell him I am saying: You act like a lion roaming the earth; but you are nothing more than a crocodile in a river, churning up muddy water with your feet.(Ezekiel 32:2 CEV)

    God directs Ezekiel to warn Pharaoh of the correction the Lord requires of him. Their are two lions in the bible, the lion of Judah and the lion roaming searching whom he may devour. The enemy looks for whom he may accuse, but God is looking for a person who will identify their wrong and repent and turn to him.

  40. God knows all and sees all. When the enemy has setup entrapments against you, God puts up a standard. This is why it’s important to follow God’s word. It is his word that keeps us and guides us.

  41. 15 When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate, and the country shall be destitute of that whereof it was full, when I shall smite all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I am the Lord.

    Many historians struggle to find history to show what happens to great leaders in history. They look in ancient archives, ruins and many other places but do not put one and one together that it had something to do with God almighty smiting a people.

    The refuse to acknowledge the legitimacy of the Word of God, when in it we can find the answer to many of the past history.

  42. 1 And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first day of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

    2 Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young lion of the nations, and thou art as a whale in the seas: and thou camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers.

    3 Thus saith the Lord God; I will therefore spread out my net over thee with a company of many people; and they shall bring thee up in my net.

    4 Then will I leave thee upon the land, I will cast thee forth upon the open field, and will cause all the fowls of the heaven to remain upon thee, and I will fill the beasts of the whole earth with thee.

    5 And I will lay thy flesh upon the mountains, and fill the valleys with thy height.

    6 I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the rivers shall be full of thee.

    7 And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.

    8 All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord God.

    9 I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast not known.

    16 This is the lamentation wherewith they shall lament her: the daughters of the nations shall lament her: they shall lament for her, even for Egypt, and for all her multitude, saith the Lord GOD

    It becomes us to weep and tremble for those who will not weep and tremble for themselves. Great oppressors are, in God’s account, no better than beasts of prey. Those who admire the pomp of this world, will wonder at the ruin of that pomp; which to those who know the vanity of all things here below, is no surprise. When others are ruined by sin, we have to fear, knowing ourselves guilty. The instruments of the desolation are formidable. And the instances of the desolation are frightful. The waters of Egypt shall run like oil, which signifies there should be universal sadness and heaviness upon the whole nation. God can soon empty those of this world’s goods who have the greatest fulness of them. By enlarging the matters of our joy, we increase the occasions of our sorrow. How weak and helpless, as to God, are the most powerful of mankind! The destruction of Egypt was a type of the destruction of the enemies of Christ.

  43. 30 There be the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Zidonians, which are gone down with the slain; with their terror they are ashamed of their might; and they lie uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword, and bear their shame with them that go down to the pit.

    31 Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army slain by the sword, saith the Lord God.

    32 For I have caused my terror in the land of the living: and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain with the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord God.

  44. The Pit is repeatedly mentioned on Verses 18, 23,24,25,29 & 30
    Means: a large hole.
    Ezequiel used to describe this place of the dead is part of a large constellation of ideas about the after life found in the OT . In the popular conception of the time, all all the dead dwelt in the depths of the earth..
    Ezequiel employed the concept of “the pit” to show the human frailty of Pharaoh and his armies.

  45. 18 Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.

    Here we are told to wail for the lost. I often pray for the Lost, and even see others praying for them, but unfortunately I have to be honest and say that I don’t very often wail for them…
