Ezekiel 36

Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord:

Thus saith the Lord God; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession:

Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people:

Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about;

Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.

Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen:

Therefore thus saith the Lord God; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame.

But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come.

For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown:

10 And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded:

11 And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

12 Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforth bereave them of men.

13 Thus saith the Lord God; Because they say unto you, Thou land devourest up men, and hast bereaved thy nations:

14 Therefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereave thy nations any more, saith the Lord God.

15 Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou bear the reproach of the people any more, neither shalt thou cause thy nations to fall any more, saith the Lord God.

16 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

17 Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.

18 Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it:

19 And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.

20 And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the Lord, and are gone forth out of his land.

21 But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.

22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

29 I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.

30 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.

31 Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

32 Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord God, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.

33 Thus saith the Lord God; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.

34 And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.

35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.

36 Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it.

37 Thus saith the Lord God; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.

38 As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

  1. Verses 24-28 MSG “‘For here’s what I’m going to do: I’m going to take you out of these countries, gather you from all over, and bring you back to your own land. I’ll pour pure water over you and scrub you clean. I’ll give you a new heart, put a new spirit in you. I’ll remove the stone heart from your body and replace it with a heart that’s God-willed, not self-willed. I’ll put my Spirit in you and make it possible for you to do what I tell you and live by my commands. You’ll once again live in the land I gave your ancestors. You’ll be my people! I’ll be your God!” Psalm 51:10 AMP says “Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me.”

Veres 37-38 MSG “Message of God, the Master: Yet again I’m going to do what Israel asks. I’ll increase their population as with a flock of sheep. Like the milling flocks of sheep brought for sacrifices in Jerusalem during the appointed feasts, the ruined cities will be filled with flocks of people. And they’ll realize that I am God.’” Cleanse us oh Lord and help us gather in the flocks of people in this city.

“Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord:”
    ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭36:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Wow, this is the Word that has been going forth at The Pentecostals of Fort Worth! Prophesy to the mountains ⛰!!! Speak to your Mountains and watch it be moved into the 🌊 sea. Declare the faithfulness of God for the harvest.

  4. 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

Some people mistake God anger for lack of mercy or just being a vengeful God, but he only destroys his enemy and discipline his children with the purpose of turning them back to him. It’s not about his anger it’s about the heat of his children, God is more than just a judge, her is the father of his nation. There is so much that the Israelites missed out on and went through because their heart was wicked, and if we cleanse our on heart and allow God to purge it of deception and filthiness then we can avoid many trials. Can You imagine?… That’s all God wants is to just be our God, to love and fellowship with him with a devoted heart

  5. Isaiah 36:26 (English Amp) Born again) And I will give you and a new spirit will I put within you, and I will take a stony heart of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. God will wash you clean, Forgive you of your sins, Give you a clean heart, Heal you, Give you a new mind. Wow what Mighty God we serve. You must be born again to enter the gates of heaven. Lord I pray today for lost souls in these last days to repent there lives to you. I plead your blood over lost souls today. Go reach and teach someone that is hurting today.

  6. 36. Then the nations near you will know that I, the Eternal, am the One who rebuilt and restored the ruined cities and replanted the empty wilderness. I, the Eternal One, promise to do exactly what I’ve said.

When God fills people with the Holy Ghost and delivers them from the addictions and lifestyles of drugs and/or alcohol, those near them know that God is real, working in their lives, and can do exactly what He said.

  7. “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.”
    ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭36:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Every morning you should get yourself a refreshing in the Spirit. How can you witness to someone without a refreshing in your Spirit. Let that light shine bright through you. When you want something to shine you polish it, so polish that Spirit. How? By praying in the Spirit. Face this day prayed up! Ask the Lord to lead you to those that hunger for Him and the ones that are willing to soften their hearts to receive a word from the Lord!

iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

  8. 1 Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord:

Blessings after the battle – every “battle” that we are part of spiritually should cause us to grow. If that is not the result, then we have allowed the situations to wound us instead of grow us. The Lord raised His hand of judgement against Israel, but then turn that judgement and pronounced blessing.

We must make up in our minds that whatever situation we are in, it will make us stronger and a better person than we were before we walk through.

May the blessings and favor of the Lord be upon us today!

  10. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
28 You will live in the land I gave your forefathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God.

  11. See, I care about you, and I will pay attention to you. Your ground will be plowed and your crops planted.
    Ezekiel 36:9 NLT
The Lord care for his people
GOD so love the world that he died on the cross for us
In this chapter you see GOD restoring Israel again a new kingdom is being unleash that kingdom is the king of king Lord of Lord JESUS

  12. Therefore, give the people of Israel this massage from the sovereign LORD!
I am bringing you back, but not because you deserve it. I am doing it to protect
my holy name on which you brought shame while you were scattered
among the nations. 36: 22 NLT

There is a greater responsibility to live genially as children of God.
Growing up in the little town that we lived in, my father was respected among the people and I remember him telling us the name is very important to keep intact.

  13. I will increase the number of people and animals on you; they will increase and be fruitful. I will cause you to be inhabited as in ancient times, and will do more good for you than at the beginning of your history. Then you will know that I am the Lord .

  14. 6 “Therefore prophesy over the land of Israel, preach to the mountains and hills, to every ditch and valley: ‘The Message of God, the Master: Look! Listen! I’m angry—and I care. MSG

Do you wonder why He gets angry? Do you wonder why He pushes us to do our best and to never give up on ourselves? Do you know why He don’t let us have whatever we want but He gives us everything we need? I believe no matter how many times we fail God or sin He gets angry because He loves us. He loves us so much that He is angry we can’t see all that He does for us.

He wants to make life as easy as He can for us. He wants us to understand that He will loves us, provides for us, and cares about us until we are called home. He will never give up on us. He will never turn us away, lead us down the wrong path or neglect us. He loves us enough to get angry at us. So, the next time we feel God’s anger or conviction know it is out of love. If He didn’t love us, He wouldn’t care.

  15. Ezekiel 36:24-27
    24) For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
    25) Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
    26) A new hear also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
    27) And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

God is so Merciful! He brought us out of this world, washed and cleaned us up (baptised in Jesus Name), gave us a new heart, put His Spirit (Holy Ghost) within us, and now we walk in newness of life.

    Thank You JESUS!!

  17. 23 I will show how holy my great name is—the name on which you brought shame among the nations. And when I reveal my holiness through you before their very eyes, says the Sovereign Lord, then the nations will know that I am the Lord.

Acts 4:12 – Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Luke 10:17 – And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

Romans 10:13 – For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 8:12 – But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

There’s power in the Name of Jesus!
Through His Name, you will see He is Lord!

  18. Ezekiel 36

    Ezekiel 36 The Message (MSG)

    Back to Your Own Land
36 1-5 “And now, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel. Say, ‘Mountains of Israel, listen to God’s Message. God, the Master, says, Because the enemy crowed over you, “Good! Those old hills are now ours!” now here is a prophecy in the name of God, the Master: Because nations came at you from all sides, ripping and plundering, hauling pieces of you off every which way, and you’ve become the butt of cheap gossip and jokes, therefore, Mountains of Israel, listen to the Message of God, the Master. My Message to mountains and hills, to ditches and valleys, to the heaps of rubble and the emptied towns that are looted for plunder and turned into jokes by all the surrounding nations: Therefore, says God, the Master, now I’m speaking in a fiery rage against the rest of the nations, but especially against Edom, who in an orgy of violence and shameless insolence robbed me of my land, grabbed it for themselves.’

6-7 “Therefore prophesy over the land of Israel, preach to the mountains and hills, to every ditch and valley: ‘The Message of God, the Master: Look! Listen! I’m angry—and I care. I’m speaking to you because you’ve been humiliated among the nations. Therefore I, God, the Master, am telling you that I’ve solemnly sworn that the nations around you are next. It’s their turn to be humiliated.

8-12 “‘But you, Mountains of Israel, will burst with new growth, putting out branches and bearing fruit for my people Israel. My people are coming home! Do you see? I’m back again. I’m on your side. You’ll be plowed and planted as before! I’ll see to it that your population grows all over Israel, that the towns fill up with people, that the ruins are rebuilt. I’ll make this place teem with life—human and animal. The country will burst into life, life, and more life, your towns and villages full of people just as in the old days. I’ll treat you better than I ever have. And you’ll realize that I am God. I’ll put people over you—my own people Israel! They’ll take care of you and you’ll be their inheritance. Never again will you be a harsh and unforgiving land to them.

13-15 “‘God, the Master, says: Because you have a reputation of being a land that eats people alive and makes women barren, I’m now telling you that you’ll never eat people alive again nor make women barren. Decree of God, the Master. And I’ll never again let the taunts of outsiders be heard over you nor permit nations to look down on you. You’ll no longer be a land that makes women barren. Decree of God, the Master.’”

16-21 God’s Message came to me: “Son of man, when the people of Israel lived in their land, they polluted it by the way they lived. I poured out my anger on them because of the polluted blood they poured out on the ground. And so I got thoroughly angry with them polluting the country with their wanton murders and dirty gods. I kicked them out, exiled them to other countries. I sentenced them according to how they had lived. Wherever they went, they gave me a bad name. People said, ‘These are God’s people, but they got kicked off his land.’ I suffered much pain over my holy reputation, which the people of Israel blackened in every country they entered.

22-23 “Therefore, tell Israel, ‘Message of God, the Master: I’m not doing this for you, Israel. I’m doing it for me, to save my character, my holy name, which you’ve blackened in every country where you’ve gone. I’m going to put my great and holy name on display, the name that has been ruined in so many countries, the name that you blackened wherever you went. Then the nations will realize who I really am, that I am God, when I show my holiness through you so that they can see it with their own eyes.

24-28 “‘For here’s what I’m going to do: I’m going to take you out of these countries, gather you from all over, and bring you back to your own land. I’ll be your God!

He is the Heart Mender. If you really want Him to He will cleanse you and make you brand new. Oh what a loving Savior He is. Israel will be shocked when Jesus Christ reveals Himself at the second coming . Don’t wait allow Him to be your Savior today. Allow Him to take out the stony heart and replace with His.

  19. 24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

  20. … I will make you inhabited as you once were and MAKE YOU BETTER OFF THAN YOU WERE BEFORE. Then you will know that I am Yahweh. “Therefore, say to the house of Israel: This is what the Lord God says: It is not for your sake that I will act, house of Israel, but for My holy name, which you profaned among the nations where you went. I will honor the holiness of My great name, which has been profaned among the nations — the name you have profaned among them. The nations will know that I am Yahweh” — the declaration of the Lord God — “when I demonstrate My holiness through you in their sight. I will save you from all your uncleanness…. “Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves for your iniquities and detestable practices. It is not for your sake that I will act” — the declaration of the Lord God — “let this be known to you. Be ashamed and humiliated because of your ways, house of Israel! Then the nations that remain around you will know that I, Yahweh, have rebuilt what was destroyed and have replanted what was desolate. I, Yahweh, have spoken and I will do it.
    Ezekiel 36:11‭, ‬22‭-‬23‭, ‬29‭, ‬31‭-‬32‭, ‬36 HCSB

I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.
    Hosea 14:4 KJV

Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings.
Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the Lord our God.
    Jeremiah 3:22 KJV

This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
    Lamentations 3:21‭-‬23 KJV

Only God can take a nation in their backslidden state and make them better off than they were before. We are often too willing to leave the backslider in the dust where he has fallen, declaring him unworthy of another attempt to reach him, but not so with God. He knows where He has put His name! And He is able to pull out of the dirt and bring to repentance all those who bear His name. Not because we are deserving will He cleanse us of all unrighteousness, but for His holiness’ sake, because unbelievers are watching, and God would have them know that they, too, can be saved!

Thus, we should never give up on a backslider. God is able to use even their backslidings for good, to make them stronger, more faithful, and more fruitful than they were before. Moreover, God is able to use their restoration to convince others of His mercy and compassion, that they might want His salvation as well. God can bring revival to and through the backslidden.

  21. In this scripture, it is apparent that they are about to get an Holy bath from God. Who, cleanses us and gives us a heart of flesh and with a new spirit! God is awesome and very merciful. I love him……..

“Not only a new heart, spirit, and walk in his statutes (righteousness), but we get have some land….”

“Jesus is mine, and I am his!”………

  22. 33 Thus saith the Lord God; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.
34 And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.
35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.

We find our salvation message in this chapter regarding the Holy Ghost. But I noticed that God is concerned for the land too, because good stewardship of the land blesses his people. God instituted laws even for the farming of the land, leaving it idle every 7th year, and more. This earth was created to support God’s most important creation, mankind.

  23. 9 For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown:

What a beautiful thing to know that God is for us. Sometimes we feel like we are all alone and not able to find our way but God let’s us know he is on our side and is with us.

  24. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

oh do I pray to be more like Jesus. I pray that i will keep the Lords commands at all times and be an example everyday. Jesus will put the Holy Ghost within us if we desire to be filled some people want the Holy Ghost and the Lord will answer a prayer. But some think the Holy Ghost is gonna just run for them, but they also have to take effort and time to run after God and seek the Holy Ghost with a pure and truthful heart. Jose told the youth on Wednesday that a pure form of prayer is like children asking God to heal their parents or help their friend and this all leads to getting the Holy Ghost, these children come to God and say “I love you Jesus, i want the Holy Ghost” and the Lord hearkens unto his child’s precious voice. In all things we need to have the Spirit of the Lord and keep his commands.

  25. New Heart, New Spirit

Despite Israel’s sin God promises to create a new heart for this people and give them God’s own spirit.

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart O God; and renew a steadfast Spirit within me.
Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

  26. ““‘For here’s what I’m going to do: I’m going to take you out of these countries, gather you from all over, and bring you back to your own land. I’ll be your God!”
    ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭36:24-28‬ ‭MSG‬‬

He forgives us and takes us out of that place of sin, He washes us in His mercy till we are clean, He removes a heart that is all about self-will and gives us heart that is about His will, and fills us with the Holy Spirit so that as His word is revealed to us we will have the power to obey His commands. He doesn’t just give us His word, throw us out in the world and say live like this, but through His Holy Spirit, He gives us the power to do so! How great is our God!

  27. 3 Your enemies have attacked you from all directions, making you the property of many nations and the object of much mocking and slander.

To this day, Israel is constantly under attack by all the nations surrounding it. Israel has to defend it self daily. God foretold what would happen over thousands of years ago. Yet many refuse to believe the Bible.

  28. “‘I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries; then I will bring you to your land. I will sprinkle you with pure water and you will be clean from all your impurities. I will purify you from all your idols. I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your body and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my Spirit within you; I will take the initiative and you will obey my statutes and carefully observe my regulations. Then you will live in the land I gave to your fathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God. I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and multiply it; I will not bring a famine on you. I will multiply the fruit of the trees and the produce of the fields, so that you will never again suffer the disgrace of famine among the nations.
    Ezekiel 36:24‭-‬30 NET

Glory to GOD!!!! His name will always be glorified! It’s all about His KINGDOM and not what we attempt to build. I’m thankful that The LORD changed my heart., renewed me, and brought everlasting life to a sinner as me!!! Hallelujah Jesus!!!

  29. “Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own ways and deeds; to Me their way was like the uncleanness of a woman in her customary impurity. Therefore I poured out My fury on them for the blood they had shed on the land, and for their idols with which they had defiled it.
    Ezekiel 36:17‭-‬18 NKJV

We are His temple and that is why we must keep it clean. God will not abide or tolerate a dirty house. If we want God to dwell in us we must be holy and strive for holiness.

  30. 24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

  31. 7 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, I have lifted up mine hand, surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame. But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel, for they are at hand to come.

  32. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

He is the God that restores. No land is is way to desolate or far gone that is left for dead that the Lord is not able to bring back to life bearing fruit. No heart is way to hard that God cannot change to one that can feel his presence.

  33. [Eze 36:27-30 NLT] 27 And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.
We have the Holy Ghost that we might walk with Him and walk in His ways!

28 “And you will live in Israel, the land I gave your ancestors long ago. You will be my people, and I will be your God. 29 I will cleanse you of your filthy behavior. I will give you good crops of grain, and I will send no more famines on the land. 30 I will give you great harvests from your fruit trees and fields, and never again will the surrounding nations be able to scoff at your land for its famines.

When we are walking with God, His favor is upon us, our crops, and our harvest. In fact, He says we will have “great harvests” and our enemies will see the Lord’s hand upon us. Thank you Jesus, believing You for great harvests from this weekend!

  34. 22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went

All blessings come from God and we should be quick to give him the glory.

  35. 6 Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen:

7 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame.

8 But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come.

9 For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown:

Even at our bad doings God still shows his mercy !!!

  36. “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: When I cleanse you from your sins, I will repopulate your cities, and the ruins will be rebuilt.
    Ezekiel 36:33 NLT

  37. 2 Thus saith the Lord God; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession:
3 Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people:
    4 Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about;
5 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.

Allow God to fight for you. When he fights we win. Our enemies will become obsolete. Thank you Jesus for all you do for us.

  38. 5 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.

Idumea is a word that is in The Word only a hand full of times, but it refers to the Edomites, Esau’s descendants. With that in mind, these verses become a little clearer…

  39. 2 Thus saith the Lord God; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession:

Boasting in the fall of a child of God is a dangerous thing because when they get a hold of the direction God is guiding them they will rise a hundred times stronger. Rejoicing in someone’s weakness only exposes how weak a person’s foundation in Christ is. The good Samaritan found a beaten man stranded and helped him while the religious leaders passed him by like nothing. It was as if they didn’t care or enjoyed seeing some one down, distraught beneath them. Putting someone down so we can feel bigger only lowers ourselves in God eyes. If we elevate others in their struggles we elevate the serve for the will of God and not in enmity of him. Let us decrease that He may increase!

  40. “And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.”
    ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭36:26-27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. Then I will teach your ways to rebels, and they will return to you.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51:10-13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  41. 23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

    Sanctify Me

Gods will is to be a separate people. Why the separation? The modern application is not to live away from the “heathen” but be separate in appearance, speech, faith, testimony. God desires to sanctify us because without it, we can not ever see the Lord.

Water to be cleansed is a foreshadow to the coming application of water for the cleansing or remission of sins.

Wash me Lord, separate me from the filth of this world, and if there be any idols, break down every high place.

  42. 6 Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen:

7 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame.

Gods got our back, the revenge is His not ours. It’s He who is the judge.

  43. 16 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

The restoration of that people, being typical of our redemption by Christ, shows that the end aimed at in our salvation is the glory of God. The sin of a people defiles their land; renders it abominable to God, and uncomfortable to themselves. God’s holy name is his great name; his holiness is his greatness, nor does any thing else make a man truly great.

  44. Notice that when God speaks to Israel, he is speaking to them concerning the things they have done themselves. ‘Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings’ God declares them unclean not by the association of being in the proximity to those who have sinned, but by the actions they have chosen to partake of themselves. Just as can be said of us today, they had no one else to blame but themselves… which means they also had the means to make a difference, just as we do today!

God’s desire to his people has always been for them to willingly choose to follow after him. He could have made his service a requirement; He certainly has power available to do so… but he is interested in those who do so if their own free will. ‘Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.’

When we reach that point where we look upon our past iniquity and despise it, God can finally begin to shape our future! How can we truly expect our future to hold promise until we trust God enough to let go of our past? ‘Thus saith the Lord God; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities’ We need to give God the liberty he desires to reshape us… and that begins with a desire in our hearts to be something other than what we’ve been.

  45. “Ezekiel, son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own country, they made the land unclean by the way they behaved, just as a woman’s monthly period makes her unclean.(Ezekiel 36:17 CEV)

When Israel was blessed of God to enter into the land the Lord had promised it was in his righteousness. They became influenced by the wickedness of the pagan nations around them and began a life of sin. God is trying to get their attention to change. Israel must change their wicked ways repent and turn to God because their filthy ain leads to death and Jesus’ blood leads to everlasting life. He died that we may live in him.
