Daniel 6

It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;

And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.

Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.

All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.

10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

11 Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.

12 Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king’s decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

13 Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.

14 Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.

15 Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.

16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.

17 And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.

18 Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.

19 Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.

20 And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

21 Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

23 Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

25 Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.

26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

27 He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

28 So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

  1. Verses 25-27 MSG “King Darius published this proclamation to every race, color, and creed on earth: Peace to you! Abundant peace! I decree that Daniel’s God shall be worshiped and feared in all parts of my kingdom. He is the living God, world without end. His kingdom never falls. His rule continues eternally. He is a savior and rescuer. He performs astonishing MIRACLES in heaven and on earth. He saved Daniel from the power of the lions.” We serve the same living God as Daniel, who continues to perform astonishing MIRACLES today! Stay bold, stay firm, stay constant in the Lord and receive your MIRACLE.

  2. 4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.
5 Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

The Bible calls us to live above reproach, perfection and Holiness are something we strive for in the form of maturity and godly character. There are always going to be people seeking out fault, but the more we allow God to shine thru us in Glory the less occasion we give place for these accusation unless they seek it by means of dishonesty

  3. Daniel 5:10 (English Amp) Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed he went into house, and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, He got down upon His knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before His God, as he has done previously. ( Ps. 5:7) But as for me, I will enter Your house through the abundance of Your steadfast love and mercy; Your holy temple in reverent fear and awe of You. Here Daniel was praying and making supplication before His God when he was in the lion’s den. Always pray to God for help were ever you are.

  4. 16. Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he WILL deliver thee.

The king already had faith that God would deliver Daniel from the lions.
Do we allow others without a relationship with God to have more faith than we do?

    26. I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his KINGDOM that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

Nothing takes your faith to a higher level like watching a miracle happen!

  5. iLove the Kingdom
    Daniel 6:3-4 NLT

    (3) Daniel soon proved himself more capable than all the other administrators and high officers. Because of Daniel’s great ability, the king made plans to place him over the entire empire.

    (4) Then the other administrators and high officers began searching for some fault in the way Daniel was handling government affairs, but they couldn’t find anything to criticize or condemn. He was faithful, always responsible, and completely trustworthy.

By nature, we always seem to gravitate to the supernatural deliverance of Daniel from the lion’s den…and that’s great, but what about the leadership message that screams to the top of it’s lungs here? Look at how Daniel lives his daily life here. He lived his life as a faithful servant. Let’s not forget what happened to Daniel. He was a captive of the people of Judah. The enemy had destroyed his family, destroyed his city, burned the temple of the Lord, and had made Daniel a slave in a foreign land. Also there are certain indicators from Scripture to support the view Daniel was made a eunuch. First, he was never married. Second, as mentioned, he was a slave in a time and place where castration of slaves was common. Third, 2 Kings 20:18 indicates that some of Hezekiah’s descendants would one day be taken from Israel to serve in the palace of the king of Babylon as eunuchs: “And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood that will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.” Daniel 1:3 indicates Daniel and his friends were under the authority of the “chief eunuch” (ESV), a man named Ashpenaz. This same verse indicates that these young men were specifically taken in order to serve the king in his palace.

Even though Daniel went through all these hardships, one thing echoed throughout his life…”Great is God’s Faithfulness”. Daniel served the Lord and the king in a way that no one could criticize him. He was “always faithful, always responsible, and completely trustworthy. Leadership 101…and because Daniel was faithful, God exalted him to a great place of leadership over the entire kingdom. Was Daniel’s boss perfect…no! The king was a carnal pagan king over the kingdoms of the Medes and Persians. It doesn’t matter how those who are in authority over us act or how they treat us. We should all strive for the leadership qualities of Daniel and expect the same results.

  6. THY KINGDOM COME
    KINGDOM FAITHFUL

20 And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

Daniel served his KING JESUS so faithfully that even the carnal, earthly king was able to recognize his commitment to GOD. The earthly king respected the honor, commitment and attitude of Daniel toward his GOD and KING.

We are surrounded by dens of lions in the 21st century. People, things, possessions, professions, greed, pride and all the such attempt to daily confine us to the pen of our doom. However, GOD is raising up a people that will not WORSHIP idols and will not cease to PRAY.

As we become KINGDOM FAITHFUL, we are privileged to see what and how GOD will respond to our FAITH. He will be a FIRE and LION tamer.

KINGDOM FAITHFUL is a 2 way Blessing. As we are FAITHFUL to The Kingdom of GOD, HE will be FAITHFUL to deliver us from the fire and the lion.

  7. 26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

Oh that we had the ability today to make everybody tremble and fear the living God. But there is a day coming when every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord and every knee will bow before Him…..His kingdom without end will rule on earth!

  8. “Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When you put your trust in God things like this are gonna happen. There will be times where you fell as if there’s no escape or if there’s no hope, but when you put your hope on Him and your trust in Him then you will see that He will always make a way!
I honestly don’t think Daniel was scared he had already told the previous kings about the God he served who is Alive and Well. He had already told them how the God he served was Sovereign and in Control. You see Daniel didn’t have a worry of the situation because he knew who was in control and that’s the mentality we need to have to.

We need to get ourselves in check and really put our Hope in Jesus and our Trust in Jesus. Go be blessed today.
iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  9. the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.

What a testimony. The king was confident Daniel would be delivered from the mouth of the Lions. Daniel had lived a life of faith and it spread through to the highest leadership. Who in return received so much that he declared his Kingdom would serve Daniel ‘s God. What effect am I having on this world. Do I dare to be a Daniel for the Kingdom? He would not bow before the gods of this world. He was attached from every angle his faith did not waiver. God is able to draw entire congregations multitudes at one time. This is what I’m searching for Time is shirt and we are going to have to think big. Somewhere in this city there is a large large group looking fir truth I pray God will use me to find them I pray He used you to find them. For the Kingdom .

  10. ——Stead fast, trust,faithfulness,submission, perceivirence,prayer, love……….
6:23 then was the king excedentes glad for him,and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den,so Daniel was taken up of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon himself 🔜Because he believed in his God.

  11. 18 Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.
19 Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.

With God all things are possible. The King couldn’t alter the law he put into place, but he knew about the God of Daniel and made supplication to him for Daniels life. Praise God for a God fearing ruler. It’s what the world needs now.

  12. Daniel 6:10-11
    10) Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
    11) Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.
Philippians 4:6-7 says, 6) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7) And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Daniel was a man who PRAYED, BELIEVED, had FAITH, and TRUSTED in GOD. And because of this, God sent his angel (Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?) to shut the mouth of the lions that no harm came to him. God delivered him from the lions.

We have an adversary, the devil, who as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. The devil would love to devour “eat” us up. BUT when we PRAY, BELIEVE, have FAITH, and TRUST in GOD, HE will send his angel (ministering spirits) to shut the mouth of the devil. God will deliver us.

    Thank You JESUS!!!!!!

  13. 22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

23 Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

  14. 4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

5 Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

Daniels enemy was seeking a occasion and looking for a way to accuse him and after much searching they finally found what they were looking for. But it wasn’t anything wrong that he did he just served God as he should. This world will look for ways to accuse us but let’s make sure we don’t give them anything they can use against us. Let’s let our love for God be the only thing they can accuse us of.

  15. 10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

Sounds like some “even if” faith right here! Daniel knew the consequences, yet he didn’t hesitate to continue kneeling in prayer before the Lord. His example of sure faith and trust proved to king darius that even he could put faith in God.

  16. Josiah: 3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
God’s favor is upon His faithful. When we have God’s favor on us we do not have worry. The Bible says Daniel was favoured over the others because he had an excellent spirit. When we truly show God’s love, and mercy, compassion and more. When we show these we will be different from this world because we will have an excellent spirit in us that sets is apart from others. Doors may be opened that we could only dream about because of an excellent spirit. So, let us GO SHOW what the Kingdom God is all about to this world!

  17. 26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

27 He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

  18. 26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

Who can deny the true King of kings?
He is the One True Living God! An unstoppable God!

  19. Then the other administrators and high officers began searching for some fault in the way Daniel was handling government affairs, but they couldn’t find anything to criticize or condemn. He was faithful, always responsible, and completely trustworthy. The king was overjoyed and ordered that Daniel be lifted from the den. Not a scratch was found on him, for he had trusted in his God. “I decree that everyone throughout my kingdom should tremble with fear before the God of Daniel. For he is the living God, and he will endure forever. His kingdom will never be destroyed, and his rule will never end. He rescues and saves his people; he performs miraculous signs and wonders in the heavens and on earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.”
    Daniel 6:4‭, ‬23‭-‬23‭, ‬26‭-‬27 NLT
Daniel stood faithful they were jealous so Darius decided to go out and tell and accuse Daniel but even in that Daniel was faithful Daniel trust in the Lord and knew that the GOD of heaven will rescue him

  20. So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
    Daniel 6:28 KJV
When the favor of GOD is upon you – NO WEAPON formed against me/you shall prosper!!!!

Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.
    Micah 7:8 KJV
Praise GOD! In time of troubles Daniel knew whom to turn to. He didn’t waiver in His faith. Daniel prayed, and prayed, and prayed!!!! He didn’t post his troubles on ‘fakebook’ as bro.mo would say. But he sought the face of GOD. It is the same we should be at all times. GOD is faithful to His children ❤❤❤

  21. 14 Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.

Jealousy more than likely was the cause of this setup against Daniel. When the king realized that the target was Daniel he was displeased with himself that he allowed Daniel to be put in this situation.

Not everyone will understand why we do what we do, and there will be ill feeling that arise, especially when the favor and blessings of the Lord start showing up in our lives. Stay the course, keep the faith and whatever arises, God will bring us through and deliver.

  22. 24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

Here is a good example of how faithful our God is. When we are humble to the word of God, when we are humble to the spirit of God , our God will not forsake us.
“For the Lord will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the Lord to make you his people.”
    ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭12:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Our God is a God of love, peace, and Joy.
Our God is also a JUSTICE GOD. No mater how things may look we the children of God must keep our faith in our FATHER FOR HE WILL NOT FORSAKE US.

  23. 8 Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

How short sighted the king is. His counselors are asking him to make a change to the law based on the statement the laws never change…. HELLO…. If there is one constant in the bible – people change all the time. A new leader arrives with his personal opinions and views, now there are new laws. Maybe the leader is a good leader and seeks counsel before making rash decisions; the counsel then offers their own opinions and motives to change the rules.

We can change our opinions about things but we must hold onto our beliefs.

  24. Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because AN EXCELLENT SPIRIT WAS IN HIM; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but THEY COULD FIND NONE OCCASION NOR FAULT;
forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees THREE TIMES a DAY, AND PRAYED, and gave thanks before his God, AS HE DID AFORETIME.

I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
    Daniel 6:3‭-‬4‭, ‬10‭, ‬26 KJV

I imagine the reason why Daniel had an excellent spirit, and why they could find no fault in him, was because he was in the habit of praying and giving thanks to God three times a day. No matter where he was, what he was going through, or what he would suffer because of it, he made prayer a priority every morning, noon, and night. Moreover, his worship of God was not done in hiding. He was not ashamed or fearful for the people to know that his allegiance was to his God.

What would happen in our spirits if we made prayer such a priority? Habits, addictions, secret sins, bad attitudes, fits of anger, covetousness, apathy, pride, dishonesty, laziness, gluttony, selfishness, ingratitude, fear, doubt (the list is endless) would all fade away if we sincerely gave our hearts to God every morning, noon, and night. Yet, we continue to battle these things because, even as Christians, we find it difficult to come to God faithfully even once a day. Our faith and our testimonies are not weak because our God is, but because our commitment is. We reap what we sow. When we sow little prayer, we reap little spiritual growth.

Furthermore, our impact on the world around us is dependent on what we sow in prayer as well. If we have learned anything from the book of Daniel thus far, it would be that great faithfulness and commitment to God brings great witness to and change in others. The moral of the story is: We can change the world, once we pray so much that God’s Spirit starts changing us. No wonder we are told to “pray without ceasing,” God has some changes He wants to make!

  25. Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
    Daniel 6:23 KJV

The king and Daniel have develop a relationship through Living God of Daniel. Like Daniel we should develop relationships through our God and our testimony.
    A.L.M.A.S.

  26. Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.
    Daniel 6:5 KJV
What a testimony that the only thing men could find against Daniel was that he was faithful to his God! Oh that we would have that testimony as well among all that know us. It didn’t guarantee that there would be no trouble but it did guarantee a life that was blessed, prospered, and brought glory to God to the entire nation!!!

  27. 26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

27 He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

Does our relationship with God make others want to live for Him? Does our faithfulness to God show others just how great He is?

  28. 23 Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

I believe in you, I believe in you, You’re The GOD OF MIRACLES!!! I can’t wait to worship with this song!!!

  29. 25 Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.

  30. Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
    Daniel 6:3 KJV
    …………

Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
    Daniel 6:16 KJV

Thy lifestyle and testimony can be your greatest soul wining tools. The Word of God tells us that we have a great cloud of witnesses. So we know we know we are being watched. Daniel was chosen because he had a great spirit. this tells us that it matters how we handle ourselves. With what spirit do you approach life and it’s circumstances? He was yet captured by another kingdom but still maintained a positive view, a great spirit, that immediately was noticed and was promoted or placed as the head and not the tail. I’m pretty sure he kept with his godly lifestyle for then we see after the decree that even the king had faith in Daniel’s God. Darius said it affirming and declared as one who has faith; “thy God whom thou servest, continually he will deliver thee.” be steadfast in the Lord that in your deepest trials, the people are watching you and your faith will save/bring them to God.

  31. 22“You are his successor,c O Belshazzar, and you knew all this, yet you have not humbled yourself.

We all can say these same words. We all know better, but do we follow God? Sons & daughters of pastor’s know about God, but still live a carnal life. Its a choice to decide to live for God or not. Dont let pride get in your way to develop a relationship with God.

  32. Prayer is important and without it we become powerless. Satan would love for every child of God to not pray. He knows that if they stop praying they become weak. We need prayer in our life everyday. Let’s keep praying so that we can keep growing.

  33. 16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.

There are times in life when it seems that you are being thrown into the den of lions and those around you that have the power to help are not coming to your aid. I want you to think about this story when that happens because it may be that those with the power have more confidence in what God is going to do for you than you do at that moment.

You see the King pretty much rejoiced with Daniel when he realized God came through for Daniel. A seed of confusion could have been sown if the king and the King of Kings tried to deliver him at the same time. Yet in this instance there was no doubt that God delivered Daniel. It was not by mans hands but God’s hands.

  34. 23 Now the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.

  35. 24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

God will fight our battles when we worry about His will for our lives and serve Him.

  36. We often see this passage from the perspective of Daniel, although it’s worth considering the perspective of the king as well. In his mind ‘this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.’ He knew of Daniel’s God and valued him because of his excellent spirit… that was his testimony to those without. Even when ‘the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom…they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.’ Imagine the impact we can have upon the world with such a quality testimony!

The king had every confidence in Daniel. He was dismayed when he recognized how he had been maneuvered into passing judgment against him. He also knew what God had done for him in times past so ‘the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.’ Imagine that today! The leader of the kingdom assuring us that our God will deliver in our hour of need! That wasn’t spoken by Daniel, it was spoken to him by the king! He even went as far as to return ‘to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.’ He genuinely cared and although he may have recognized that he lacked the power and authority of God, he was willing to go the extra mile in sacrifice himself that Daniel’s God would answer his prayer.

We know the end of the story but they did not. The king hastened early in the morning after a sleepiness night to check upon the man of God. This is the relationship and influence we can have within the world around us! This is what the Bible means by having a good report both within and without the house of God. Daniel didn’t have to compromise to build this relationship is trust… in fact, he did just the opposite. He chose to take a stand for his God! God took notice, but so did those around him… even his enemies that would reap the fate they had hoped to sow unto Daniel. The king was willing to take a stand as well!

  37. Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.

Our attitude in the kingdom will determine how much of His kingdom He will let us have. Just because we are good at something does not mean we always have the right attitude.

  38. I am inspired by Daniel’s walk with God. Through all that Daniel went through, he still did what he knew to do. Pray. To go through all of this, I ask myself if I would be as strong as Daniel? The macho Christian would say,” Of course I would.” I would like to think that I have a strong relationship with God. Yet I know I have not done the very best to my God. I have let Him down. But thank you Jesus that I live today, and I have an opportunity to serve Him at my best today. In our world today we live for tomorrow. What will happen tomorrow, we can do it tomorrow. But as Bro. Dillon said it, we have to do it Today. Today is all that we are promised. So what are we living for Today? What have I done Today? Today we must pray, today we must live for God, today we must outreach to this world, today, today, today.

  39. 16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions.

  40. “Then the king gave orders to arrest the men who had maliciously accused Daniel. He had them thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. The lions leaped on them and tore them apart before they even hit the floor of the den.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:24‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The things we do don’t just affect our lives alone but all who are close to us. It’s not just “my life” but will have some level of affect on family and friends around us. And if we are in any type of leadership it affect those who follow you.
““Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:28‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  41. 24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

What we do will always have consequences whether good or bad, life or death for not only ourselves but for those that we hold dear.

  42. 3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

The same favor that God gave Joseph with Pharoah of Egypt shows to be similar to the favor displayed here with Daniel. Daniel is loyal to the Lord and his willingness to serve God sets him apart. People in high positions can see their is something different about him. It’s not that he is knowledgeable of all the “holy gods”as king Belshazzar said. What it is, is that Daniel worships the One true God. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

  43. 21 Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

So who were the first to do the Daniels Fast in the bible? The Lions

Integrity will take you a long way. When you are accused falsely, if you have integrity, God will make sure that your testimony is keep in tact. When we stay righteous before God is when the enemy wants to try an ruin your testimony. Lies will try and develop, the devil will come and try to defeat you.

But when God is on your side, he will preserve you from the lions that are out to destroy you!

  44. 26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

Oh mighty is our God! Jesus is the one true living King of Glory, it is so awesome that the power of God poured out upon Daniel and was a testimony and caused the king to decree that God should be the one true living God who the whole kingdom served and changed the kings decree.

    Daniel 6:26‭-‬27 NLT

  46. Leading those over you

Daniel lead from king. Yes, the king. The ultimate leader over the land was lead by Daniel his servant.

    1. Daniel was faithful. It showed the king leadership by continuing to do what was right even when it was not convenient to do so.

    2. Daniel took his consequences. He knew the consequences were unjust. He knew that his wrong doing wasn’t wrong. He did not complain or try to take the matter up with someone else. He didn’t try to run from what was happening. He just took the unjust consequences that were given to him.

    3. His faith never wavered. His faith was so steady that the king who didn’t even believe like him fasted and prayed to Jesus on his behalf. The next morning the king even asked “did your God save you?” This shows that the king might be in a transtiinary state, but still doesn’t believe the way daniel believes.

    4. He didn’t try to seek revenge or retribution. It never once says that Daniel asked for the others to be punished. He never calls out in anger about them placing him in the lions den. Daniel allowed the king to come up with his own plan of action for the new outcome of the situation.

Daniel taught us much I just a few verses. I didn’t exhaust all of the lessons either, but we can all read this again and learn from Daniel about leading those who have authority over us.

  47. Verse 1-10
One Day Daniel had to decide whether he would summit to an ungodly law, or stick with his convictions. He chose his life principles. He likely follow the strong footsteps of strong leaders of the Old Testament.

  48. My God knew that I was innocent, and he sent an angel to keep the lions from eating me. Your Majesty, I have never done anything to hurt you.”(Daniel 6:22 CEV)

In this verse Daniel was explaining that God knew that he was innocent and that he has been faithful. When God sees his children in trouble he will always protect them or make way for them so God sent an angel for Daniel so that the lions would not eat him.
