Daniel 9

In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;

In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:

Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.

O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.

To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.

11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

12 And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

14 Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.

15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.

17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.

18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God;

21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Daniel learned from the books of the prophets, especially from Jeremiah, that the desolation of Jerusalem would continue seventy years, which were drawing to a close. God’s promises are to encourage our prayers, not to make them needless; and when we see the performance of them approaching, we should more earnestly plead them with God.

“During the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, learned from reading the word of the Lord, as revealed to Jeremiah the prophet, that Jerusalem must lie desolate for seventy years.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭9:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Daniel was reading and studying the Word of the Lord “as was revealed” by the prophet Jeremiah. Wow, revelation comes by reading, studying, and meditating on the Word of God…even for the prophet Daniel. Wisdom, revelation, and understanding come the same way today…not through Google, but through the Word of God in humility

  3. THY KINGDOM COME
    KINGDOM PRAYER

    20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God;

The WORD of the LORD brought the answer of the KING to Daniel while he was praying. Repentance, confession and petitioning the LORD invited The Kingdom of GOD to come to the KINGDOM PRAYER of Daniel.

KINGDOM PRAYER is about praying for the deliverance of others and not always ourselves. We see another benefit of KINGDOM PRAYER is SKILL and UNDERSTANDING.

JESUS our KING will send us Skill and Understanding as we engage ourselves in KINGDOM PRAYER.

  4. 21. About the time of the evening sacrifice, while I was still pleading and praying and almost completely exhausted, the man Gabriel, who had appeared to me in an earlier vision, appeared again and reached out to me.

    22. Gabriel (to me): Daniel, I have come for one purpose: to offer you insight and understanding into these matters.

    23. When you began your pleading earlier today, a word was issued. I was instructed to come and tell you about it, for you are highly regarded by God. So pay close attention so you can understand the vision. Voice

    NLT:
    23. “The moment you began praying, a command was given…”

God hears us the moment we begin praying, but only He, in His infinite wisdom and timing, knows exactly when we need the answer.

  5. 3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
    4 And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments

I have never seen in the Bible where God’s anger and Wrath wasn’t turned away by a true repentant prayer. Sometimes people imagine this big angry God in the sky just waiting to pour out his Wrath when that is further from.the truth, God waited hundred of year before pouring out his wrath and judgment on the heathen nation’s who didn’t even want him to begin with, God’s mercy keeps him waiting on the types of prayers that turn hearts to him.

  6. Daniel 9:4 (English Amp) And I prayed to the Lord my God and made confession and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, Who keep covenant, mercy, and loving- kindness with those who love Him and keep His commandments. Prayer is very important in our life’s. To read our word, To study , To build a closer relationship with our God. To build our Faith, skills , knowledge. And prayer when to pray for other’s not for your self.

  7. Therefore the Lord has kept the disaster in mind, and brought it upon us; for the Lord our God is righteous in all the works which He does, though we have not obeyed His voice.
    Daniel 9:14 NKJV
    https://bible.com/bible/114/dan.9.14.NKJV

If we want to break curses and receive the Blessings of the Lord . we must first repent and ask God for forgiveness then obey is commandments. We must humble ourselves and submit and seek his face. He will here us if we do it right.

if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.
    II Chronicles 7:14‭-‬15 NKJV

  8. 14 Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.

Oh Jesus you have and will have your way. Some think when evil comes upon them it is the enemy and they are being attacked by the devil, but it could just be the lord shaking your life up to build you up and setting you up for a breakthrough. We never know but what we can know is that God does everything for a complete reason and his will is the only thing we need in our life. Let the will of the Lord be in my life!

  9. AMP – 13 Just as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this tragedy has come on us. Yet we have not wholeheartedly begged for forgiveness and sought the favor of the Lord our God by turning from our wickedness and paying attention to and placing value in Your truth. 14 Therefore the Lord has kept the tragedy ready and has brought it on us, for the Lord our God is [uncompromisingly] righteous and openly just in all His works which He does—He keeps His word; and we have not obeyed His voice.

All the turmoil that Israel went through, and still they did not wholeheartedly repent and so the turmoil continued. Each one of us at some time or another face turmoil and strife that is caused by our disobedience and yet many times we are like Israel, we fail to repent wholeheartedly, which could just possibly allow God to stop the storm from raging. When we become “real” with the Lord and recognize that it is our pride and self righteous ways causing us to not humble ourselves and repent, we will see repentance as an avenue and means for God to show up and everything changes when His Kingdom comes into the situation.

  10. O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and look at our desolations and the city which is called by Your name; for we are not presenting our supplications before You because of our own merits and righteousness, but because of Your great mercy and compassion. O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and take action! Do not delay, for Your own sake, O my God, because Your city and Your people are called by Your name.”
    DANIEL 9:18‭-‬19 AMP

Thankful that the sovereign LORD hears the prayers of our Pastor and POFW. We live today because of Him and not of our own!!!
We are to daily stand in the gap for our nation, our president, our city, our families, and our neighbors. A.L.M.A.S./S.O.U.L.S are hungry for GOD and we have the answer to life. Repentance, being born again, daily prayer, daily reading of the word, and worship will bring His righteousness into our lives as a whole.

  11. Daniel 9:2‭-‬4‭, ‬7‭-‬9 KJV
Daniel pray for his people but he also humbled himself to it started with pray this chapter is cry out for mercy for the people when we humbled ourselves and confess our sins God is gracious to forgive

  12. 21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

We too can hear what the Lord is saying to us. Daniels walk with God was one of submitted ways unto God. Even in the midst of captivity Daniel continues as a young man into his older years to uphold integrity and obedience . His praying never ceases. We must continue daily in prayer in recognizing the voice of God.
God reveals many things about the future of Isreal. The visions and revelations came from prayer and fastings. Lord I pray that for your Kingdom I will always seek you first and stand in prayer before you with a desire to be used for the Kingdom .

  13. 23 The moment you began praying, a command was given. And now I am here to tell you what it was, for you are very precious to God. Listen carefully so that you can understand the meaning of your vision.

The key phrase “the moment you began praying”. This tells me how ready the Lord is to hear your prayers. God doesn’t ignore your prayers, he’s just waiting for you to call out for him. He puts his staff of angels in a ready position to help in any manner. Your prayers, your cares, your requests are being heard immediately!

  14. “As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭9:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Hey now! Here we Go, scripture came to my mind as I read this verse above “sanctify them with thy truth thy Word is thy Truth” my first thought was man we should really be bringing the Word into every conversation with the Lost somehow. Yesterday as I was training a man a few years older than me we began to share our lives with each other I mean you’re bound to find something out about a person after 12 hours. I got to share with him the meaning of Holy Roller and where it came from then shortly confessed the most I had ever done was run the isles as far as I can remember. I seen a hence of joy start to make the feller smile a little. He also had tattoos that covered him and ears that looked like you could drive a truck through them. I then was able to express the fact that the church I attend is home to me because I’ve never been accepted that fast and they didn’t have to look at me twice to welcome me in. I shared with him Miracles, Signs, and Wonders. He shared with me a tragic story of his father and we then started on with Demon possessions. I told him this, “when you think of demon possessions don’t think of the exorcist because it don’t happen that way anymore and I’ll tell you why.” He said “why” I said, “because the world we live in today isn’t scared of the enemy like they use to be and they will willingly invite evil spirits into them”…I knew I was into something at this point I started getting that ole church nod haha so then I took it all the way back to the Garden where it all started and I God really allowed me to pour into this guy.
Pray for Shawn Dunagan today God touched his heart yesterday and I’m believing the man is gonna find a Pentecostal Church and get the Holy Ghost in Jesus name.

iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

  15. 13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

It’s a matter of the heart; it’s by means of a right attitude and true desire. How strong is your desire for the truth?

  16. 22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

  17. 9:3 and I set my face unto the Lord , to seek by prayer and duplications, with fasting, and sackcloth , and ashes.

And I prayed unto the Lord my God,and made my confession…..
Instead of lettin more time pass by..we(I) should . immediately seek the Lord, seek his face, in prayer and supplication fasting …
If we don’t do it quick when conviction is still alive, then it will be harder and self will be getting deeper in sin.
    I repent

    I rejoice

    I work

    I continue with the race.
    Thank God for mercy!!!!

  18. “During the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, learned from reading the word of the Lord, as revealed to Jeremiah the prophet, that Jerusalem must lie desolate for seventy years.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭9:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Reading God’s word is necessary to hear from God. How do we expect to commune with God if we do not read his words to us? Let’s open the word of God and study

  19. 3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
    4 And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

    The Lord My God

Is He your Lord? As I read this prayer that Daniel Prayed. I was caught in thought of what have I done? How many times have I failed God, to get up and jsut act like nothing ever happened. I have lied to myself because I said Im ok, God understands that I am human. But what does that mean, “I am Human?” Well, simply put, we are created in God’s image. He breathed the breathe of Life into us. He formed us from the ground and molded us in His likeness. This is what, “I am Human,” really means.

With that being said. The Lord My God. He is truly all of ours. He is the Lord OUR God. Yet He made us to have a choice to serve Him, to Honor Him, to Commune with Him. It is Choice. So I say He is THE LORD MY GOD, who I serve and give thanks and honor too. He is King, My All, My Everything.

  20. Our God is a deliverer. Every need he is able to supply. As he delivered Daniel from the lion’s den, he is also able to deliver you. Don’t ignore God’s commandments, it is our instructions to make it to heaven.

  21. 7 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.
18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

God hears our every prayer and answers them whether it is immediately done or whether he is still working on the answer yet to come.

  22. Daniel 9
As I read this chapter, the scripture that came to mind is 2 Timothy 3:16. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

Daniel was reading the Word of God, and what he read caused him to PRAY, FAST, CONFESS his sins and the sins of his people, and ask for Forgiveness from the Lord.
When we read the Word of God, may it cause us to PRAY, FAST, CONFESS our sins, pray for others, and ask and seek FORGIVENESS from God.

Thank You JESUS for Your Word!!

  23. 9 But the Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him.

Praises! We are so blessed to serve the God full of Mercy and Forgiveness!

  26. 5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land
Daniel’s heartfelt prayer of confession shows a true burden for the nation. It also shows his sense of community and attachment to his people. Jesus also taught us to pray this way when He said, Our Father, give US this day, forgive US. We are connected to each other and need to realize a victory for one is a victory for all. Likewise, a failure for one is a failure for all. The Old Testament picture for this is when there was sin in the camp, the whole congregation could go no further until the sin was dealt with. In New Testament we are told to weep with those that weep and rejoice with those that rejoice because we are all baptized by one Spirit into one body! Let’s unite in prayer, in worship, in harvest and in love for one another in Jesus precious name!

  27. 18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

  28. Daniel 9:5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done
wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:

Daniel acknowledges the people’s sin, but always includes himself in their number. As with all great leaders he identifies himself with his people.

Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

  29. “The moment you began praying, a command was given. And now I am here to tell you what it was, for you are very precious to God. Listen carefully so that you can understand the meaning of your vision.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭9:23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    “The moment you began praying”
While we sit here and wait on God, sometimes He is sitting there waiting on us. All we have to do is open our mouth and begin talking to Him. God wants a relationship with us, He wants us to talk to Him, He wants to give us an answer to all of our questions/situations but sometimes He waits on us to want that with Him!
“For you are very precious to God”
    We are loved by Him.

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  30. 21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

He knows that which we have need of even before we ask. He is not limited by time and is an all knowing God. At the moment you begin your prayer there is an answer for he knows what you will say. Even much more when you ask things pertaining to God does he make you know. He wants to hear from us. He wants for us to seek him and not our understanding. He wants us to inquire of him. He wants to be wanted if I could put it that way. It’s a love relationship. Prayer is something intimate that we choose to do to hear from Him. Prayer will always give an answer. He knows we have concerns, worries, burdens, fears, and yet tells us in his Word to cast all cares on Him. How do we do it, praying to him. He gave us His Word to communicate with us and our prayers to communicate with Him. It’s a relationship. Love is a choice.

  31. Daniel make his request known unto God: ‘O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.’ The example in this passage of repentance is very specific in its nature. He didn’t just ask in general for God to forgive Israel, he spoke the sins he knew that Israel had committed before the Lord. He wanted deliverance from their captivity and before he asked, he wanted to address the sin that had caused their captivity to begin with. Just as is spoken in the new testament, if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive… but confession is still required before forgiveness can be granted.

God’s plan may not always allow for our specific request to be granted in the manner we desire, but God will always respond to a sincere and repented heart. He does here for Daniel without delay. ‘And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God; Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.’ His response from God was immediate… that is the communication God desires with his people! It doesn’t have to be next week or next year or next whenever… God is more than capable to commune with his people and is willing to do so at all times! Of course, we have to be listening, we have to be prepared, we have to be ready to receive a word from the Lord… even if it doesn’t agree with what we had hoped to hear in response to our prayer. It may be that God has something greater to impart than we had even thought to ask!

  32. 3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

My heart is still stired with the quote from The Call of War “If I can find some to weep I can find many to save.”

Where are the intercesserors? Where are those that will weep until our cities are changed and our His children return home. Intetcesserors build a life of prayer that the Kingdom of God can be extended upon the earth.

  33. 19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
Our God is full of mercy and will forgive our sins. It is up to us to ask for that forgiveness, believe he has forgiven; then completely turn away and never look back at the sin or its’ snares.

  34. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
    Daniel 9:19 KJV

    My God is merciful.

  35. Daniel knew Jeremiah ‘s promise to the Jews that their captivity would last 70 years and he realized that the time was nearly completed. Daniel began a season of prayer and fasting, he pleaded with God to remember His promise. He openly acknowledged the sinfulness of his own people. He knew that they deserved the judgment of captivity, bu he also reminded God that His own righteousness and mercy were at stake in the fulfillment of the promise.

  36. Verse 18 AMP “O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and look at our desolations and the city which is called by Your name; for we are not presenting our supplications before You because of our own merits and righteousness, but because of Your great mercy and compassion.” Daniel is praying for his people in this chapter. He knows that he can launch that prayer in the middle of what they are going through and he is inclining/asking God to hear it. We too know that we can launch a prayer from whereever we are or whatever we are going through. Thank you Jesus for hearing our prayers, as everything is in your time and in your manner.

  37. He explained to me, “Daniel, I have come here to give you insight and understanding. The moment you began praying, a command was given. And now I am here to tell you what it was, for you are very precious to God. Listen carefully so that you can understand the meaning of your vision.
    Daniel 9:22‭-‬23 NLT

    Hallelujah

  38. 14 Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.

God will only tolerate unrighteous behavior for so long before he brings it to an end. What God has intended for good and pure holiness for his people they have polluted with evil sin. He gave them the law of Moses but he knew it was not going to be enough. Jesus came not to abolish the law but to fulfil it. When we died upon the cross he paid the price no animal life could satisfy. Now death has no sting and we have been given the gift of eternal life through Jesus with the gift of the Holy Ghost. Thank you Jesus for the blood you shed at Calvary. For when we were yet still in sin you died on the cross for all, for the forgiveness of sin.

  39. Our Lord God, with your own mighty arm you rescued us from Egypt and made yourself famous to this very day, but we have sinned terribly.(Daniel 9:15 CEV)

    God himself

  40. 10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

When we are purified or forgiven from sin it becomes easier to detect what things are not of God that can stain us again. I love white dresses or blouses but it’s always a challenge for me to wear them out to eat, while cooking, doing dishes etc. These common activities are opportunities for accidents to happen. Spiritually it’s a similar concept when we are walking through our daily lives staying separated unto God yet working, shopping, out to eat etc. We strive not to let things of this world tempt us or stain us, however, God will allow us to be tested to prove us. Others will lack knowledge and wisdom and be completely content living evil and wicked lives. They will continue that life style and never desire to change. If we endure to the end we will enjoy eternal life with the father we serve: the Almighty God, Father of creation, or father of lies and accuser of the brethren.

  41. Our Lord God, with your own mighty arm you rescued us from Egypt and made yourself famous to this very day, but we have sinned terribly.
    Daniel 9:15 CEV

It’s surprisingly true that God can do the miraculous and not long after his people turn away. They turn back to sin even in the middle of revival. God will have his way even if we take for granted the many great works he has done in our lives.
