Acts Chapter 5

40 Days of FIRE – Day 36

Day 36: Acts Ch.5. The apostles were arrested and jailed for preaching the Gospel in public. The Lord sent an angel to them while in prison and gave them this powerful exhortation: go, stand, speak . . . the whole message of this life. If the Church does any less, less than preach the whole message of the whole Word, then the church has disobeyed the call of God. Ask God to help you be a part of making sure Isaiah 45:22 is the heartbeat of the Church.

JESUS today YOU will SAVE me.

Acts 5

But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.

And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.

13 And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.

14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)

15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

17 Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,

18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.

19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,

20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

21 And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

22 But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned and told,

23 Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.

24 Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.

25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

26 Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.

27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,

28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

33 When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

34 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;

35 And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.

36 For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.

37 After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.

38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:

39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

The sin of Ananias and Sapphira was, that they were ambitious of being thought eminent disciples, when they were not true disciples. Hypocrites may deny themselves, may forego their worldly advantage in one instance, with a prospect of finding their account in something else. They were covetous of the wealth of the world, and distrustful of God and his providence. They thought they might serve both God and mammon. They thought to deceive the apostles. The Spirit of God in Peter discerned the principle of unbelief reigning in the heart of Ananias. But whatever Satan might suggest, he could not have filled the heart of Ananias with this wickedness had he not been consenting. The falsehood was an attempt to deceive the Spirit of truth, who so manifestly spoke and acted by the apostles. The crime of Ananias was not his retaining part of the price of the land; he might have kept it all, had he pleased; but his endeavouring to impose upon the apostles with an awful lie, from a desire to make a vain show, joined with covetousness. But if we think to put a cheat upon God, we shall put a fatal cheat upon our own souls. How sad to see those relations who should quicken one another to that which is good, hardening one another in that which is evil! And this punishment was in reality mercy to vast numbers. It would cause strict self-examination, prayer, and dread of hypocrisy, covetousness, and vain-glory, and it should still do so. It would prevent the increase of false professors. Let us learn hence how hateful falsehood is to the God of truth, and not only shun a direct lie, but all advantages from the use of doubtful expressions, and double meaning in our speech.

  2. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also THE HOLY GHOST, WHOM GOD HATH GIVEN TO THEM THAT OBEY HIM.
    Acts 5:32 KJV

    And God, which knoweth the hearts, BARE THEM WITNESS, GIVING THEM THE HOLY GHOST, even as he did unto us;
    Acts 15:8 KJV

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But THIS SPAKE HE OF THE SPIRIT, WHICH THEY THAT BELIEVE ON HIM SHOULD RECEIVE…)
    John 7:38‭-‬39 KJV

    Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but ACCORDING TO HIS MERCY HE SAVED US, BY the washing of regeneration, and RENEWING OF THE HOLY GHOST;
    Titus 3:5 KJV

How shall we escape, if we neglect SO GREAT SALVATION; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; GOD ALSO BEARING THEM WITNESS, both WITH signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and GIFTS OF THE HOLY GHOST, according to his own will?
    Hebrews 2:3‭-‬4 KJV

HE THAT BELIEVETH ON THE SON OF GOD HATH THE WITNESS IN HIMSELF: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
    1 John 5:10 KJV

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also AFTER THAT YE BELIEVED, YE WERE SEALED WITH THAT HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
    Ephesians 1:13‭-‬14 KJV

Thank God we are not left to wonder if our experience is real, if our repentance was accepted, and if our salvation is sure. God hath born witness of these things by pouring out His Spirit in us. We have the witness of God!

We should let that witness speak in us and through us every day. The Scripture says that we will BECOME witnesses once the Holy Ghost (the witness of God) comes upon us. We are told not to fear what we shall say because if we will open our mouths, He will fill it. The WITNESS in us will speak up with wisdom, anointing, and power.

He put the witness IN us to make witnesses OF us! Let us, therefore, boldly open our mouths!

  3. Acts 5:40-42 That convinced them. They calld the apostles back in. After giving them a thorough whipping, they warned them not to speak in Jesus’ name and sent them off. The apostles went out of the High Council overjoyed because they had been given the honor of being dishonored on account of the Name. Every day they were in the Temple and homes, teaching and preaching Christ Jesus, not letting up for a minute.

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.

Ephesians 4:22-21 But that is not the way you learned Christ! – assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him,as the truth is in Jesus,

Don’t cease teaching and preaching Jesus, Acts 2:38

  4. Verses 40-42 MSG “That convinced them. They called the apostles back in. After giving them a thorough whipping, they warned them not to speak in Jesus’ name and sent them off. The apostles went out of the High Council overjoyed because they had been given the honor of being dishonored on account of the Name. Every day they were in the Temple and homes, teaching and preaching Christ Jesus, not letting up for a minute.” We too must continue every day, house to house, service to service, outreach to outreach, bible study to bible study, revival to revival…..always sharing that Jesus is the Messiah. As the song that we sing in G-Force says:

Tell the world that Jesus lives
Tell the world that, tell the world that
Tell the world that he died for them
Tell the world that he lives again

  5. 5 So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

  6.  Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. J. Soliz

  7. 11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.
12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.
13 And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.
14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)

As a church, I believe we should pray for the fear of the Lord to be apart The Souls of Tarrant County. Not being afraid, but a healthy and respectful fear that God is Sovereign and loving but intolerant to serve other gods. The first commandment in the Old Testament and repeated in the New Testament is to love the Lord your God with all your heart and strength, it’s acknowledging who the one true God is and giving admiration and respect to his deity. We must to pray every single day that the fear of God rest upon the people

  8. Acts5:19 (English Amp) But during the night an Angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and leading them out, said [20] Go take your stand in the temple courts and declare to the temple courts and declare to the people the whole doctrine concerning this Life ( the eternal life which Christ revealed). Here shows that the apostles they were special messages and they were arrested and put them in a public jail. God will open up prison walls and let people out. Just believe in Him, Don’t let this world stop you from going to place to place and tell the truth about Jesus , That Jesus is the only way to go to heaven. You must be born again.

  9. 38. And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:

    39. But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

    1 John 4:6
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

  10. Holy Ghost= conviction, righteous walking, honest words……
It is a stupid thing to seek for opportunities to try to rip someone off! God sees all things. Choose life!

  11. Acts 5
40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

42 And daily in the temple, and in every house,
they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

Nothing could stop them from teaching and preaching the word, there was a strength that only God could give them. There love for the Word and the truth and for the lost. They were willing to win the lost at any cost….Lord help us in the midst of adversity to continue to reach out to this world. In Jesus Name.

    Acts 5:3‭-‬4 KJV
When you lie you are not lie to the spirit but you are lieing to God himself . The man allowed the himself to convince the hear tlie
    Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
    2 Thessalonians 2:3 KJV

  13. Acts6:38-42
38 An1d now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

  14. Acts 5:38-39
Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.

Have we fought against God, trying to do “something” for Him when in reality He really didn’t call us. Some are willing to start a church simply because they want to be in charge.

    When God calls He qualifies!

  15. But if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God!”
Acts of the Apostles 5:39 NLT

We have to remember that when we are doing things according to the Word of God and are met with opposition it is not us that they are fighting against. It is God. when we uphold His statutes, His standards and bringing honor to Him there will always be some form of opposition or rejection.

  16. 1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

  17. “but if it is of God [and it appears that it is], you will not be able to stop them; or else you may even be found fighting against God!””
    ‭‭ACTS‬ ‭5:39‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We serve an unstoppable God. His word will not return void it will accomplish that which it was purposed for. If God before us who were what could be against us.

“There is no [human] wisdom or understanding Or counsel [that can prevail] against the LORD.”
    ‭‭PROVERBS‬ ‭21:30‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Many plans are in a man’s mind, But it is the LORD ’ S purpose for him that will stand (be carried out).”
    ‭‭PROVERBS‬ ‭19:21‬ ‭AMP‬‬

  18. “So my advice is, leave those men alone. Let them go.
If they are planning and doing those things merely
on their own, it will soon be overthrown.
    Acts 5:38 NLT

The power of wisdom and the influence of one man over the whole cancel.

  19. Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
    Acts 5:29 KJV

Even when the gospel isn’t what people want to hear, we must fully be a witness.
Yes…. you’ll hear the gossip, feel the stares.. but we must continue preaching at all times!!

  20. 42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

Not just in church to show off, but these men were truly passionate in suffering for His names sake and then still continuing to teach and preach Jesus Christ wherever they went. The place didn’t matter, the people didn’t matter as long as there were some willing to listen, they were going to hear the gospel of Jesus from these men!

  21. iLove the Kingdom
Whaaaahoo!!! Wow, look what God is doing through the Apostles. “By the hands of the Apostles were many signs and wonders wrought…” God used the Apostles hands…

God uses people and angels to accomplish his work on earth. The angel broke them outta jail and God flowed through the Apostles hands to heal the folks…We have to get the mind frame that God is going to use us and is not going to just do it himself. God could have “dressed the garden” himself but chose Adam to work and chooses us to do the same today.

  22. 29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

We must decide today whom we will serve: Man and the ways of this world or God. We may not be in the majority all of the time, people may be against us, but when we stand for God he will be for us, no matter what. He will show up when we feel we’re ‘out on a limb’ and our job is to speak the truth.

  23. 3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

It is very vital that we teach ourselves and those that we are leading that when we violate a principle from the Word of God we are not telling a lie just to others but we are lying to the Holy Ghost. THE HOLY GHOST… the spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, the spirit that has all power, and the spirit that brought us life.

Yesterday I was talking with some about the fact that we are living in a world that somehow has allowed the FACT that God is all knowing and all seeing to be filed in the back files of their mind. The reality is that when this happens you move conviction to the back and your will takes over when decisions are supposed to be made.

Lord, let me always be teachable and never forget that your all knowing and you see all that you may protect me and preserve me from the hand of the enemy.

  24. It was NOT a money problem but a heart problem. Every time that this is read or preached about people stay quiet because all th y think is money. That is not the problem here for bringing all their possessions was a volunteering thing no one obligat d them to, but they compared themselves to others but didn’t want to give it all. I think if they would of said we sold it for 100,000 but want the keep half for our house or age God wouldn’t have killed them, but they planned a lie and that’s what hurt God. It wasn’t a mistake it was premeditated, they came to an agreement to lie to God. That was their sin, it was not a money problem it was a heart problem.

  25. Acts 5:42, “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.”

  26. When reading this chapter, I can’t help but put together that through every situation there is an opportunity to share Jesus.

Rather through your death, in front of a high judge, or even in prison.

  27. I Love To Worship The Lord
    1-11
A couple jealous of respect won by the generosity of persons of persons like Barnbas also sell property to make a contribution to the poor. But they conspire to pretend to give all while keeping part back. The deceit brings each sudden death

  28. THY KINGDOM COME
    POWERED BY THE KING

39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

We are comforted by the confidence that we have in JESUS our Lord. We may not always be presented with favorable situations or circumstances, but we will always be protected by The KING JESUS in HIS Kingdom.

The apostle Paul, confirms this FACT through the eternal WORD of GOD:

Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

As we Seek FIRST the Kingdom of GOD, we can be assured of ONE Fact. The Kingdom of GOD will NEVER be defeated or overthrown. We must share the GOspel of JESUS with everyone! Tell everyone we know about being Born Again into The Kingdom of GOD. (John 3:5, ACTS 2:38).

42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

  29. 12. And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.

How much more can God do through us if we put our flesh aside and submit to what God would have us to do?…

  30. 29-32 Peter and the apostles answered, “It’s necessary to obey God rather than men. The God of our ancestors raised up Jesus, the One you killed by hanging him on a cross. God set him on high at his side, Prince and Savior, to give Israel the gift of a changed life and sins forgiven. And we are witnesses to these things. The Holy Spirit, whom God gives to those who obey him, corroborates every detail.” MSG

We are better off when we obey God instead of men. Man will lead us astray to where God will lead to the path that is right and where he wants us. Sometimes God puts us on a path that is not in our comfort zone but God is there before we get there.

  31. 9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

Its sad that neither of these people realized how important it was to be honest about Gods money. Instead of just being truthful instead they decided to lie and as a result judgement struck.

  32. 15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

Miracles, signs and wonders speak for themselves. If we will do our part in sharing what God is doing, God will do His part in drawing the hearts of men and women to His kingdom.

Acts 4:20 – For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

Go tell the good news – share the miracles – share the testimonies – share your testimony – and let God do the rest!

  33. 38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

How true this is that the works of man will come to naught. I am reminded of a poem where the traveler travels through a desert and happens upon a broken statue, nothing else but a statue and among the words written on it, was Look upon it ye mighty and despair. Which sums up most of man’s work and empire’s. Feared during their time and season, but ultimately coming to naught. I a glad to serve a king whose reign is without end from everlasting to everlasting. And whose word stands forever, while the flower’s wither and grass fade away.

  34. 39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

But if it be of God!
If we are truly of God, nothing or no one will ever be able to overthrow nor defeat us. We must remember that when someone is coming against us because of our faith, they are not really fighting against us, but they are fighting against God and that is one battle they cannot win.
If God be for us who can be against us?

  35. 40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

  36. 2 He brought part of the money to the apostles, claiming it was the full amount. With his wife’s consent, he kept the rest.

It just amazes me how a couple are in agreement even on bad things. You would think either the wife or the husband would say “no, its wrong to keep the money”, but neither one did. I guess, that’s what you call unified, whether good or bad, they agree. If only they could have been unified for the Kingdom of God, neither would have met their death.

  37. 14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)

Now in the last days we are going to do this and more. Let His Kingdom Come on this earth and be established. For when we allow God to work through us as He wants too. Look out Fort Worth, God is on the move. We are seeing the very beginning of this great revival. As so many ministers have come in and prophesied over us. POFW Get Ready God is about and is pouring out His Spirit in us. And we WIN

  38. “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭5:42‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    DAILY!
Everyday the preached and taught. I was just sharing this with one of the guys I was training today how we need to be sharing the word every single day and giving absolutely everything we got to Jesus Christ. The Love and blood he shed for us is a priceless Love. That means nothing can touch it. Priceless means it’s so precious no value could touch it. So why can’t we give our all for Jesus? Teaching and preaching to the Lost should be our everyday motivation. Let’s Go one kesus name
    Be blessed

  39. Josiah: 42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
The greatest revivals can come with the greatest trials. There is no need for the devil to come after us if we are not on Fire for God. When opposition comes against us we should just push harder. Now is not the time to take a break. Now is the time to press harder. As we near the end of Forty Days Of Fire we should do like the disciples and cease not. So, let us GO STEADFASTLY ON IN JESUS NAME!

  40. 11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

God’s great judgment brought great fear. Great fear brought great signs and wonders. Great signs & wonders brought great persecution and imprisonment. Great persecution and imprisonment was no match for God so He brought an even greater deliverance and open door to minister His Word!

  41. 3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

If you are going to give to God, don’t lie about how much you are giving. You are giving to God not man, so why would you lie to man about it anyways? God sees all and knows all, so it’s silly to try and lie your way out of something. It is important to give to God what is His and to man what is his. Glory to God for His ways are straight and true! Praise the Lord for He is great!

  42. 41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

No matter how life treats you or how it beats you if your message is of God it will be continue. Whatever is from the Lord will prevail.

  43. Never stop telling the Gospel . The world may try to knock you down but I got Good news for ya . I read the end of the book and we win . You are worrying about something and God had already defeated it. Never let the world stop you from getting people into the kingdom of God . Let the Kingdom of God Stop people from following the devil.

  44. 6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

What we do affects the next generations and the ones that surround us, whether it be good or bad….

  45. As I was reading this chapter, I thought to myself the times I had to stand up for what I believe. Sometimes people have to see that we will stand up for the name of Jesus. No time to be ashame. We are in the last days and people need to know about the true God, the only God. It’s time for the Pentecostals of Fort Worth stand up and proclaim the truth about the one true God and his name is JESUS!

  46. This is the call of missions: the whole Gospel to the whole world by the whole church! We don’t pick and choose which portions of God’s Word to carry forth. It has been delivered to the church complete and we never know when some portion may be critical to a situation or decision in our life. It is important to remember that it is not our word, or our way, or our decision… it is the very Word of God!

The world may believe in the modern mantra of everyone choosing his own way, but one of the precious aspects of the glory of the church is regardless of where we go in the world, we believe the same things! We preach the same truth, we live and look the same, we praise and worship the same God, and we can still look to the Bible and see they did so the same way! We don’t have to rely on the words or traditions of men, we can stand firmly and boldly on the Word of God!

  47. But Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than any human authority.
Acts of the Apostles 5:29 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/act.5.29.NLT

I pray that we have that boldness to stand on His word and continue to spread the gospel. No matter what the enemy tries to use to stop us. I pray that we stand firm and trust the Lord because He will bring us out of what ever situation we are in.

  48. 3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

We can only serve one master, the only living God or the god of this world. God still rules everything, he simply allows the enemy to tempt us in order for us to learn to overcome his wiles. Ananias had every opportunity to be honest but he held back what he dedicated to God. It doesn’t matter if the offering was 2 million or two pennies, it all belongs to God! So if we are honest God will honor our giving however if we lie we put ourselves in the grave position Ananias and his wife face.

  49. And every day, in the Temple and from house to house, they continued to teach and preach this message: “Jesus is the Messiah.”(Acts of the Apostles 5:42 NLT)

Everyday the people would fellowship by greeting one another and teaching and preaching the message, that Jesus is the Messiah.

  50. But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.

8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

  51. Revivial’s Catalyst

They were at the brink of revival and didn’t know. The whole church was pushed into revival with a single swelling of faith. One family’s disaster made faith arise and caused an massive revival. While I don’t want people to drop dead because of their lies I know that we are standing at the edge of the biggest revival. One massive English of faith could be the catalyst to push PoFW into its destiny. Is it Jeff seeing? Is it Tommy walking? We are all just full of faith as we wait for REVIVAL!
