Micah 7

Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.

The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.

That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.

The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.

Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.

For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.

Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.

I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

10 Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the Lord thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

11 In the day that thy walls are to be built, in that day shall the decree be far removed.

12 In that day also he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and from the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.

13 Notwithstanding the land shall be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.

14 Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.

15 According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things.

16 The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might: they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf.

17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the Lord our God, and shall fear because of thee.

18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

20 Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.

  1. As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I WAIT CONFIDENTLY for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me…. I WILL BE PATIENT as the Lord punishes me, for I have sinned against him. BUT AFTER THAT, he will take up my case and give me justice for all I have suffered from my enemies. The Lord will bring me into the light, and I will see his righteousness.
    Micah 7:7‭, ‬9 NLT

    But After That…

Oh for the confidence and patience and self-discipline to wait for the After That. After the storm or the chastisement, after the discipline or the much needed lesson, God’s faithful love always provides an After That.

Weeping may endure for a night, BUT AFTER THAT comes joy in the morning. Beauty comes after the ashes. The oil of joy comes after the mourning. The garment of praise comes after the spirit of heaviness. Resurrection comes after the self-denial and cross-carrying. Heaven comes after whatever we go through down here.

But we don’t like the waiting. We cause ourselves more problems because we haven’t learned to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. We think repentance should wipe away consequences, and then we get discouraged when we don’t rise up to immediate victory. We want microwave results to hastily-uttered prayers. We don’t like the After Thats that take months…or even years. We think God should move on our time-table…

We lose confidence in the waiting…lose faith while the weeping endures.

Isaiah speaks to the weary and impatient ones: “…They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint,” (Isaiah 40:31 KJV).

The Psalmist adds, “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart…. Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land,” (Psalms 27:14; 37:34).

Teach us, Lord, to wait for the After That, so we can share the testimony of Abraham:

And, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
    Hebrews 6:15 KJV

  2. Verses 8-9 CEV “My enemies, don’t be glad because of my troubles! I may have fallen, but I will get up; I may be sitting in the dark, but the Lord is my light. I have sinned against the Lord. And so I must endure his anger, until he comes to my defense. But I know that I will see him making things right for me and leading me to the light.” John 8:12 CEV says “Once again Jesus spoke to the people. This time he said, “I am the light for the world! Follow me, and you won’t be walking in the dark. You will have the light that gives life.” Follow Him!

  3. Don’t trust anyone— not your best friend or even your wife!
    Micah 7:5 NLT
For the son despises his father. The daughter defies her mother. The daughter-in-law defies her mother-in-law. Your enemies are right in your own household!
    Micah 7:6 NLT
As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.
    Micah 7:7 NLT
. ONLY TRUST GOD . TRUST NO ONE . others will fail you but God will always stay with you. Forever

  4. But as for me, I will look expectantly for the Lord and with confidence in Him I will keep watch; I will wait [with confident expectation] for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. Do not rejoice over me [amid my tragedies], O my enemy! Though I fall, I will rise; Though I sit in the darkness [of distress], the Lord is a light for me.
    MICAH 7:7‭-‬8 AMP

Oh God blessed is your holy name! Through my trials and pain I have learned to put my trust in you. My eyes have seen your faithfulness, your right hand reaching out towards me and embracing every pain and wiping away every tear!
You have hidden me ‘under the shadow of thy wings.’ GOD you are my hope, my peace, my comforter, my joy, my healer, and my salvation!!!!
    THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!

  5. 7. Therefore I will LOOK to the LORD; I will WAIT for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me. NKJV

    Psalm 121:1-2
I LOOK up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains? No, my strength comes from GOD, who made heaven, and earth, and mountains. MSG

    Isaiah 40:31
But they that WAIT upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. KJV

  6. Micah 7:6 (English Amp) For the son dishonors the father, the daughter – in- law against her mother, her mother- in – law a man’s enemies are the men
( members) of his own house. But as for me, I will look to the Lord and confident in Him I will wait with hope and expectancy for the God of my salvation; My god will hear me. God you are my hope, my trust, and My salvation .

  7. iLove the Kingdom
“The godly people have all disappeared; not one honest person is left on the earth. They are all murderers, setting traps even for their own brothers.”
    Micah‬ ‭7:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There are some things in life that God hates with a passion…one of those things is a lying 🤥 tongue. In Gods eyes, Pinocchio was always in danger getting tossed on the campfire. The Bible calls the devil the father of lies. Who is your daddy? Is he the father of lies, or is He the Truth the Way and the Life? I basically tell my kids I would rather tell the truth and die then tell a lie and fry. I’m just curious if there’s any honest people out there anymore.
2 The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.

  8. 18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

There’s no God like Jehovah who forgives and pardons sins. While people get caught up counting others faults, God is busy forgiving those who are broken and contrite.

  9. Kingdom Mercy

I am so thankful for the mercies of God! Every morning I have the opportunity to be renewed with his compassion. Every evening His hand of mercy is extended to me.

Morning prayer opens His compassion for us. It’s not just half hearted but when we seek Him first it shows Him that we are making a conscious effort to fulfill His will throughout our day. So, we go through our day with the full weight of God all mighty ready to guide us, fight for us, and protect us. Staying in the spirit and in constant communication with God is how we conquer our days and live victoriously.

Evening prayer locks the enemy out! Our repentance at night grants us access to be pardonded from the weight of guilt the enemy would try to hang over our heads. It refreshes us so that come Morning we are ready to fight another day!

Lord teach me to pray without ceasing!

  10. 9 I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

I love the faith, trust, and confidence that we can have in our relationship with God. He never goes ballistic on us if we mess up, but we surely know if we sin God will deal with us. But He won’t shut us out. He’ll continue to love us unconditionally! Oh, my Savior! I love You, Jesus!

  11. 7 Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.
9 I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

Hallelujah 😄 God’s mercy never ceases to amaze me because when we sin, we absolutely do not deserve His mercy or His grace to rise again. Yet He’s a God who delights in mercy as verse 18 says, but His mercy doesn’t excuse correction. Like a father, He serves correction but it’s never to hurt us. He corrects to discipline and teach so that we learn to not fall again, and are led back to righteousness. Thank you Jesus! You’re so good!!

  12. 2 The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.

When Bishop Cornwall came to the south campus he told us that “ all the good ground to see into is gone, the denominal Church got them all”. He was making a joke but it is true. There are no perfect people out there to witness to. If we are going to do a work for the Lord in this time and hour, it’s going to be in the trenches. The word says that Jesus didn’t come for those who were whole but those that were in need of a physician. Sister Feilding said “ we have to take the face off Revival” No man comethnunto the Lord unless the Spirit draws him. This means we don’t choose who comes, we just have to love them all.

  13. Micah 7
Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me

Psalm 27 King James Version (KJV)

27 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
    Deuteronomy 33:27
The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.
    Psalm 34:17
When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles.
Isaiah 30:15 In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength.

Thank you for always being there! There is no one like the Lord.

  14. Clearly, one can see how the description of man is totally without virtue. Additionally, the Lord is saying he understands the wickedness of men but he is there to extend Mercy on to men. Moreover, we must glean that we cannot trust in our own virtue, but we should only look unto the Lord for salvation.

  15. As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me. Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light. I will be patient as the Lord punishes me, for I have sinned against him. But after that, he will take up my case and give me justice for all I have suffered from my enemies. The Lord will bring me into the light, and I will see his righteousness. Then my enemies will see that the Lord is on my side. They will be ashamed that they taunted me, saying, “So where is the Lord — that God of yours?” With my own eyes I will see their downfall; they will be trampled like mud in the streets.
    Micah 7:7‭-‬10 NLT
We living in a world where people do want they want blasting you for being a Christian everyday are the country many people died for standing up for what they believe GOD is the only way in this world we got to be patience God knows what right and we got to stay humble the minute you stop being humble you will get caught up in the world mass
I will trust in you Lord

  16. Micah 7:6-9
6 For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.

  17. 7 Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

  18. Who is a God like You, removing iniquity and passing over rebellion for the remnant of His inheritance? He does not hold on to His anger forever, because He delights in faithful love. He will again have compassion on us; He will vanquish our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. You will show loyalty to Jacob and faithful love to Abraham, as You swore to our fathers from days long ago.
    Micah 7:18‭-‬20 HCSB
There is no God like our God who can forgive all our iniquities and heal all our diseases and redeem my life from destruction. Only Jesus can forgive our sins. He is a God that is full of compassion, ready to forgive, and plenteous in Mercy as the psalmist said! He is faithful to his people and loyal to his word so I say again there is no God like our God!!!

  19. 18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

  20. Josiah: 18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
The Bible says to be angry and sin not. However in this verse it shows us that God is not angry forever because He delights in mercy. We should not hold grudges, but we should be quick to forgive. How can we be an example to someone if we are filled with anger towards them? So, let us GO BE QUICK TO FORGIVE AND SLOW TO ANGER AND WRATH!

  21. Watch your words, even with your spouse. Neighborhoods and families are falling to pieces. The closer they are—sons, daughters, in-laws—The worse they can be. Your own family is the enemy. MSG

How can we trust anyone these days? The Bible speaks about trust but it should not be towards this world or the things of this world. Rather out trust should be focused on God. The Bible is filled with people who are selfish, wicked, unjust, lovers of self, malicious, prideful, corrupt, murderous, deceitful, manipulative, unfaithful, and altogether foolish.

It would seem no person should be fully trusted. Even if we have been deeply hurt by another person we should not give up on our trusting of other people. When suspicion, mistrust, withdrawal and isolation seem like the only option, we may find that sin – not righteousness. Satan will use anything to tear down the people of God. If he can divide us and isolate us, we may start thinking the only thing that is trustworthy is ourselves. If we only trust in ourselves, how can we trust God for salvation?

  22. “In that day, Israel, your cities will be rebuilt, and your borders will be extended. People from many lands will come and honor you— from Assyria all the way to the towns of Egypt, from Egypt all the way to the Euphrates River, and from distant seas and mountains.”
    ‭‭Micah‬ ‭7:11-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Who is a God like You, Pardoning iniquity And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy. He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea.”
    ‭‭Micah‬ ‭7:18-19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

There’s a lot of good stuff in here ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters. Micah makes some good points, looking at verse 11 and 12 I see their walls were extended these guys grew from this downfall. They got up and was made stronger then they were respected by other countries. The same goes for us and our spiritual lives look at the next 2 verse I chose from a different version they also remind us of Gods mercy. Overcoming and keeping your eyes on the eternal prize is the key. There should be a tunnel vision made to this eternal place of peace. Keep on keeping on.

I’m catching hell but I’m living Holy!

  23. “Who is a God like You, Pardoning iniquity And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy.”
    ‭‭Micah‬ ‭7:18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Who could measure up to God like you? One that forgives sin and transgressions. He has a law that he ask us to keep and it’s not to much to ask. But it’s the law to keenis pure. He does not respond to anger always. Because his mercy is forever. His mercy is what he known before his anger. Thank you Jesus for your mercy. Blessed be the name of the Lord

    GET UP

8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.
9 I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

The testimony of Samson is one the clearest illustrations to me in the WORD of GOD for this passage. The fall of Samson was avoidable, all the signs were present, the voice of his parents ringing in his head. He fell anyway. However in his utter humiliation, physical and emotional Samson did not give up. He longed to get up and close out his testimony with a move for the LORD.

Samson saw the light of past victories and the light of his former power. As his enemy rejoiced against him, he arose.

Also, David when we fell into sin with Bethsheba. This fall also could have been avoided. David used his position and power to influence an adulteress relationship. David fell but like Samson was able to see the light of the Mercy of GOD on him as he repented, when confronted.

A fall can be prevented and avoided, but when we fall, we must maintain the desire and tenacity to”Get UP” and what the Grace and Mercy of GOD can do through us.

Temptation is the tool of our souls enemy and our adversary rejoices when people fall from holiness. However, unlike satan, man has the Grace and Power of JESUS to rise again. The fall of satan was final and desires the fall of Christian believers to be final as well.

  25. 8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.

My hope is in the Lkrd for He will never leave me nor forsake me!!! He is my strong tower, my refuge in the mist of the storm!! He is all I need!!!

My hope is in the Lkrd for He will never leave me nor forsake me!!! He is my strong tower, my refuge in the mist of the storm!! He is all I need!!!

  27. Micah 7;7,8 Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
v.8 Rejoice not against me, Oh mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.

Psalm 130:5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

Proverbs 24:17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:

He is always a light in the darkness, thank you Jesus!

  28. I will be patient as the LORD punish me for I have
sinned against him. But after that, he will take
up my case and give me justice for all I have
suffered from my enemies. The LORD will
bring me into the light, and I will see his
    righteousness. Micah 7:9 NLT

The correct attitude when we are disciplined by the Lord will determine the outcome of our situations.

  29. 8 Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again.
Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.

There’s a current trend for the word “GOAT”. You may have seen it on social media, t-shirts, or even heard it in conversation.

Allow me to elaborate on the meaning of G.O.A.T: “Greatest Of All Time”
The only Greatest Of All Time that I can think of is the Savior who sacrificed it all for a sinner like you and me. Who can compare to Him?

The scripture states “don’t GLOAT over me”.
To GLOAT or rejoice over someone’s misfortunes would be the exact opposite of a G.O.A.T. For the next part of the message reads, the Lord will be my light. He doesn’t leave and forsake you.

So are you a GOAT or a GLOAT?!

Are we going to GLOAT in the misfortunes of those around us or be GOAT-like and be there for those that are struggling?

  30. 6 For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.
7 Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.

  31. 16 The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might, they shall put their hand over their mouth, their ears shall be deaf. They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall crawl from their holes like snakes of the earth. They shall be afraid of the Lord our God. And shall fear because of You.

  32. 7 Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

Micah had great faith in God not only for himself but on behalf of Israel as well. Which brings me to the question; how far does your faith extend?
Do we have enough faith within us to save this city?
The answer is yes, we have all been given an amount of faith, but if we just let it’s sit there and do not act upon it, then it will not benefit anyone.

“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
    ‭‭James‬ ‭2:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Go today and act upon your Kingdom Faith!

  33. “Where is another God like you, who pardons the guilt of the remnant, overlooking the sins of his special people? You will not stay angry with your people forever, because you delight in showing unfailing love. Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean! You will show us your faithfulness and unfailing love as you promised to our ancestors Abraham and Jacob long ago.”
    ‭‭Micah‬ ‭7:18-20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There’s no god like our God! None can compare to Him. I’m so thankful for His love and compassion. If it wasn’t for His grace and mercy I don’t know where I’d be.

  34. I Love To Worship The Lord
    Watch in hope ( 7-7)
Micahs solution is practical. Put your hope in God not in changing your situation. Look to what God will do not to whatothers are doing around you. The word hope is a key one in the O.T. indicating both a willingnes to wait and settled confidence that what God has for us in the future is good

  35. 7 Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

Nobody likes to wait. But we have to be persistent and patient. Even when we don’t see it, God is working.

  36. Micah 7:18-19
    18) Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
    19) He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us: he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Lamentations 3:22-23 says, “22) It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23) The are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

Who is a God like unto thee? He’s Merciful, Compassionate, and Faithful!
There is no god like Our GOD!!

  37. This declaration is so refreshing in contrast to the culture of excuses we here so often in the world today. ‘I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.’ When the fruit of our own decisions has born itself in our life, it’s good to recognize the source of the problem is the person staring back at us in the mirror every day. Even though our desire is also to be brought forth to the light, in fact especially since that is our desire, we need to recognize when it’s time to repent and acknowledge our sin before the Lord.

With that kind of a repentant mindset, we can truly say with confidence, ‘Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.’ And when we know that we are heard, we can boldly proclaim, ‘Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.’ Maybe we stumbled because of a poor choice, maybe we weren’t as vigilant as we should have been, maybe we missed that opportunity to flee… regardless of the reason, as long as our confidence remains in him, the Lord will lift us up each and every time!

  38. 1 Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.

2 The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.

3 That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.

4 The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.

5 Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.

9 I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

10 Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the Lord thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

The prophet bemoans himself that he lived among a people ripening apace for ruin, in which many good persons would suffer. Men had no comfort, no satisfaction in their own families or in their nearest relations. Contempt and violation of domestic duties are a sad symptom of universal corruption. Those are never likely to come to good who are undutiful to their parents. The prophet saw no safety or comfort but in looking to the Lord, and waiting on God his salvation. When under trials, we should look continually to our Divine Redeemer, that we may have strength and grace to trust in him, and to be examples to those around us.

  39. 8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.

9 I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

10 Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the Lord thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

The way to restoration, once we have fallen is repentance, time of rebuilding trust, and then rising above the situation to be an even greater testimony. All of us have come short of the glory of God at one time or another. We must not be so swift to point out other’s failures. Let’s care for our “neighbor” and help them to a place of restoration. No one gets the glory for a fallen comrade. Don’t be the gossip spreading the news of the fall, be the encourager lifting the fallen up so they can find restoration without the condemnation of others.

  40. 18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

Great is our God that is faithful to His Words and promises. His mercy is from generations. He is faithful and just to forgive sins and blot out inequity.

  41. 5 Don’t trust anyone—not your best friend or even your wife!

Wow, what a powerful verse. Not to trust your wife! If you and your spouse are not on the same page of serving God, then more than likely you don’t have a honest and trusting relationship. Both have to be obedient to God, be in prayer together, and serve the Lord. Then your trust in each other will be there.

  42. 9 I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

10 Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the Lord thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

  43. 6 For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.
7 Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.

With all we do, we as humans mess up. Sometimes we mess up really bad, and although we might be remembered for our failures, it is our successes that truly define us. One of the best definitions for success that I have heard is “ the ability to go from one failure to the next without losing any enthusiasm.”

  44. 18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Thank God for His mercy that endures forever. When we were yet sinners Christ died for us and showed us forgiveness we didn’t deserve.

  45. 8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.

This scripture speaks of the reality of the walk we face as his servants. It says “when” I fall and “when” I sit in darkness not “if” or “suppose” or “imagine”… no it says “when”! Therefore it is inevitable we will fall and we will find ourselves in that dark place. In that moment God is working on us, testing, proving and refining us. All the while the enemy is laughing at us trying keep us from getting back up or trying again. The eney would like nothing more for us to stay down. We get the last laugh because when we get up we shut hells mouth. Ultimately God allowed us to fall to help us grow by encouraging us to get back up and try again his way. In that dark place we are to seek repentance and in that moment we find the light he gives to lead and guide us.

  46. As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.(Micah 7:7 NLT)

When I am in trouble I can always count on my God to help me. I know that no matter what happens I can wait patiently on my God to save me and knowing that he will certainly hear me.
