Nahum 2

He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.

For the Lord hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.

The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken.

The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.

He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared.

The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.

And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.

But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.

Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.

10 She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.

11 Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion’s whelp, and none made them afraid?

12 The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.

13 Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.

  1. Nineveh is like a leaking water reservoir! The people are slipping away. “Stop, stop!” someone shouts, but no one even looks back. Soon the city is plundered, empty, and ruined. Hearts melt and knees shake. The people stand aghast, their faces pale and trembling.
    Nahum 2:8‭, ‬10 NLT

We can’t afford to be like Nineveh–having once been right with God but slowly allowing our convictions to slip away like water from a leaking reservoir. “Stop compromising!” the pastor warns. “Don’t lose your love for the doctrine, the standards!” but many never acknowledge his cry. We go about our business, little by little letting the world creep in, day by day making seemingly insignificant choices that erode character. We become lax in our commitment: in prayer, punctuality, attendance, witness. We become critical in spirit–plundered, emptied, ruined by the enemy without even noticing. Then, one day we see ourselves in horror and wonder, “How did I get to this place?”

It has been said that no Christian intends to backslide, no spouse intends to cheat, no father intends to walk out on his family. Little by little their convictions slip away until they find themselves in a place where they never dreamed they would be, giving in to temptations they always thought they were immune to.

It’s not the gaping holes in our defenses that we need to be made aware of; they are easily seen and repaired, but it’s the slow, imperceptible leak that accumulates day by day until it becomes a total loss of what we once were that is the real danger. One tiny compromise becomes two, becomes three, becomes Christian no more. It’s just an inch here, a white lie there, a missed meeting, a held back offering–all indications that we’ve sprung a leak that’s slowly draining who we ought to be.

Leaks sneak up on those not watching. George Barna’s book, The Frog in the Kettle, gives an illustration. He points out that if you put a frog in a kettle of hot water, he will quickly jump out to safety. However, if you put him in a kettle of cold water and ever so slowly turn up the heat, he will swim in that kettle until he boils to death. It’s the little changes that can be the most dangerous!

It’s imperative that we examine ourselves and return to the faith and the commitment we once had. We must pray for God to shine His light on every area of compromise in our lives. We cannot afford to lose ground in these last days. The time to become leak-proof is now.

  2. Verse 13 MSG “Assyria, I’m your enemy,” says God-of-the-Angel-Armies. “I’ll torch your chariots. They’ll go up in smoke. ‘Lion Country’ will be strewn with carcasses. The war business is over—you’re out of work: You’ll have no more wars to report, No more victories to announce. You’re out of war work forever.” This verse reminded me of what Pastor said last night about when he comes back home from being gone, out of town, etc. “I am home devil, you better watch out”. Let us boldly declare who we are in the Lord……Victorious! As the song says that the choir sings:

    I am victorious
Yes I am, yes I am

    Living the best life
    Living the blessed life
    I am victorious

  3. 13 Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.

The Bible tells us in James 5 that the enemy of God is simply someone who was friends with the world. We look at an enemy as someone who is offensively against something standing in opposition. But God has a higher standard than that and tells it by just standing in association with the opposing side you are no less of an enemy of him. We have to be careful who we associate with and who we allowed to speak into our life that we know that we are standing on the right side

  4. 9. Loot the silver! Plunder the gold! There’s no end to Nineveh’s treasures- its vast, uncounted wealth.

    13. “I am your enemy!” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. “Your chariots will soon go up in smoke. Your young men will be killed in battle. Never again will you plunder conquered nations. The voices of your proud messengers will be heard no more.” NLT

When God is on your side, it doesn’t matter how little you have, but when God is your enemy, it doesn’t matter how much you have; He makes all the difference.

  5. WE DECLARE WAR!

“I am your enemy!” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “Your chariots will soon go up in smoke. Your young men will be killed in battle. Never again will you plunder conquered nations. The voices of your proud messengers will be heard no more.”
    Nahum 2:13 NLT

satan…. so you thought you had my family, my children, my church family….satan today you are defeated!!!!
satan your time has come to an end – POFW is alive and moving across our cities, our territories and taking back what rightfully belongs to His KINGDOM – we will continue to labor and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
‘We are bold, we are strong!’

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

  6. Nahum2: 9-10 ([English Amp) Take the spoil of sliver; take the spoil of gold! For there is no end of the treasure, the glory and wealth of all the precious furnishings. [10] Emptiness! Desolation! Utter waste! Hearts faint and knees smite together, and anguish is in all loins, and the faces of all grow pale! We must examine ourselves we can’t afford to lose our relationship with the Lord. God is angry it doesn’t matter what you have . Reaching for Heaven is more than gold or silver. No money can buy Jesus. Give him all Praise and Glory.

  7. 13 Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.

  8. 8 But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.

9 Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.

Nineveh Has ran out of opportunities, God has sent His angles to destroy it. There is nothing left! God has given us plenty of opportunities to repent but soon the day of judgement will arrive and as Nineveh we will stand tired, full of blood, without a victory for it will be too late. TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION NOW ITS THE TIME!!!! Do not wait until the last minute it is NOW that His Mercy it’s flowing for the taker. Do not wait until it’s too late! Lord help us humble ourselves at your throne and pray for repentance for you Alone are Good and Your Mercy endureth forever!!!!!! In Jesus Name I pray Amen

  9. 8 But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.

  10. Nahum 2
10 She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.

Grandpa used to say about some people they would come to church and the next day be right back into the din they just came from . When we asked why he said they leaked. They would fill up on the presence of God then allow it to drain out almost immediately. There is a way not to leak. There is a mending a healing a fixing that has to take place. No one can do this for you. You navy think they can but only when you make up your mind you are going to stay filled up and allow Giod to mend you. Sin has s way of tearing down . We must listen learn and apply the teaching of the Word daily. We cannot allow the enemy to destroy. Stay close stay in the Word stay mended in Hud presence.

I don’t want to leak I want to stay full of the presence of God so when the enemy comes in God will raise up a standard. I oray that grace and peace will cover the minds of anyone struggling to maintain their walk with God i oray for peace in the midst of the battle in Jesus name.

  11. iLove the Kingdom

Just thought it would be interesting to add a little flavor to understand the city of Nineveh better. (Just a side note of interest, notice who the god of the city was…yep, the ole goddess of lust. That’s who Ishtar was.)

Nineveh (modern-day Mosul, Iraq) was one of the oldest and greatest cities in antiquity. The area was settled as early as 6000 BCE and, by 3000, had become an important religious centre for worship of the goddess Ishtar. The early city (and subsequent buildings) were constructed on a fault line and, consequently, suffered damage from a number of earthquakes. One such event destroyed the first temple of Ishtar which was then rebuilt in 2260 BCE by the Akkadian king Manishtusu. The Amorites occupied the site and one of their kings, Shamshi-Addu I, added to the temple and left behind inscriptions recording his other construction projects. King Shalmaneser I (reigned 1274-1245 and also constructed the city of Kalhu) built a palace and temple there and is thought to be responsible also for the first walls surrounding the settlement.

The prophet Nahum explained in great detail why the Lord decided to remove Nineveh as a power. When God allowed the Assyrians to conquer Israel and harass Judah, they did so with great cruelty. They built up their city by shedding blood, enslaving people, performing cruel acts of torture and by having a disregard for human life. They engaged in sorcery and witchcraft and the Assyrian people of Nineveh treated so many groups of conquered people with extreme contempt. God also punished the Assyrians because of their pagan worship of false gods. Even though he used this kingdom to punish Israel for the sin of idolatry, he then decided to judge them for doing the very same thing.

One of the reasons why Jonah didn’t think that God should have spared the people of Nineveh is because of all of their evil deeds. When the prophet of Jonah was sent to these people, many of them turned their hearts toward God in repentance. However, a lot of Assyrian people didn’t turn from their sins nor were they sorry for the evil that they had committed. When Nineveh fell, the Assyrian power base went into decline and even though the Medes are credited with destroying the city, it was the Babylonians who would rule over the land. Assyria never rose to power again after they were defeated by the Babylonians.

  12. Soon the city is plundered, empty, and ruined. Hearts melt and knees shake. The people stand aghast, their faces pale and trembling.
    Nahum 2:10 NLT

This is what it feels like trying to live without the Holy Ghost. I have back slid one time since being in church and I felt like I was dying of cancer…like I was slowly wasting away and being eaten at. The Spirit of the Lord gives us life and liberty. There is freedom and power and life everlasting in His Name! Thank you, Jesus fr Your precious love and mercy. I praise Your Name.

  13. 2:10 she is empty and void, and waist: and the heart melted, and the knees smite together, and much pain, is in all lions, and the faces of them all gather blackness..
    —————
1 Peter4:8 Above all have fervent and unfailing love for one another because LOVE covers multitude of sins.
    —————-
Romans 5:20 But the Law came to increase and expend( the awareness of) the trespasses [ by defining and unmasking sin] But where sin increased [ God’s remarkable precious gift of ]grace[ his unmerited favor] has surpassed it and increased all the more….
    ————

God is mighty and righteous!!! His judgements are righteous and fair. He is also FULL in MERCY. But in this case:
Nineveh was in sin, then they repented and everything was good and restored, but again they went back to sin…..
    sad.
    I repent
    I obey
    I seek the Lord
    I work
    I praise
    I reap

  14. 13. “I am your enemy!” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. “Your chariots will soon go up in smoke. Your young men will be killed in battle. Never again will you plunder conquered nations. The voices of your proud messengers will be heard no more.” NLT

No worst words can be spoken to people than those words. We don’t want God to be our enemy. We want him to help us and assist us not destroy us. It’s our job to be on the right side of God and do whatever it takes to be pleasing to him.

  15. Nahum 2:1,2
1 He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.
2 For the Lord hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.

  16. “I am your enemy!” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “Your chariots will soon go up in smoke. Your young men will be killed in battle. Never again will you plunder conquered nations. The voices of your proud messengers will be heard no more.”
    Nahum 2:13 NLT
These are the worst words God could ever say to us, I am your enemy! We will never win if God is against us but if God be for us, who could be against us? We want to live in such a way that brings God’s favor like Bishop Foster preached a while back. For thou, Lord , wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
    Psalms 5:12 KJV

  17. 13 Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.

When we sin, we become like the enemy, we align ourselves with the enemy and set ourselves against God. Bad decision considering we know the wages of sin is death and that God hates evil and sin.

All He wants is relationship with us, with His creation. When we sin He so graciously gives us the opportunity of repentence. He will break us as many times and as hard as is necessary to get our attention, and really we should be grateful He does this because He desires to come after us like the one sheep of the ninety-nine. He loves us that much. But we have to be willing to come back to Him in repentence and allow Him to discipline us and instruct us.

He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. (Proverbs 29:1)

We can’t be like all these examples of stubborness and constantly reject God’s opportunities of repentance and instruction. Several times, God sent men to warn, several times He spoke and told His people to repent and follow His instruction. We know God is so merciful, but don’t be ignorant to think He wouldn’t do what He’s done before and utterly destroy to rid sin.

I serve a mighty God and He loves His people so much, He will do whatever He has to to keep and teach us. Haha wow, “You’re a good good Father!”

  18. 13 Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.

We must guard our hearts to keep the world and it’s ways out as Pastor taught last night. Guard what we see, hear and say and let the company we keep be approved by God. Staying full of the Holy Ghost and close to God will be what it takes to win this war for our soul.

  19. 10 She is empty, desolate, and waste! The heart melts, and the knees shake, much pain is in every side, and all their faces are drained of color.

  20. Even though the destroyer has destroyed
Judah ( praise) , the LORD will restore its honor.
Israel’s vine has been stripped of branches,
but he will restore its splendor.
    Nahum 2:2 NLT

There are times in our lives when life gets difficult by challenges, trials ,and setbacks, that try to diminish Our Praise to our Lord Jesus. Our pastor has taught us how to exercise the principles of kingdom Authority.

    1: Get over yourself.
2: Quit mumbling, complaining, finding faults.
    3: Submit to every authority.
4: Be joyful and thankful and every situation.
    5: Sew seed.
    6: Walk In Love.
7: Spend quality time with Jesus.

  21. Josiah: 13 Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
When God is against thee there is no way you will win while He is still against thee. However, when God is for us there is nothing that can stand against us. It is only through God that we will get to Heaven. With God all things are possible. So, let us GO DO the will of the Lord!

  22. 9 Nineveh is like a leaking water reservoir! The people are slipping away.
“Stop, stop!” someone shouts, but no one even looks back. NLT

Have you ever worked with a child; nothing in particular just living life with a child? If you have you know that the word “no” or “stop” is used quite often.

Why? Because as the little people that they are, they seem to forget basic life skills that were established to ensure you live and not die.

    Example:
“No, you cannot jump off the top of the rock that’s taller than me.”
“No. you cannot eat the crayon.”
“No, you cannot do handstands in the bathroom.”

Although, these may seem simple things that children should know; if they jump off objects that are too high they could seriously hurt or break a bone, If they eat crayons they will get a stomach ache, and it’s a master rule your hands never touch a bathroom floor. The little children haven’t mastered the reasoning of consequences.

So to us it’s simple, but how many times have we been in the same scenario with our Heavenly Father?

“No, you cannot wear that, you are to live a modest and holy life”
“No, you cannot go there, you are called to be apart”
“No, you cannot listen to that, you are what you hear and you are chosen”

We have leaders placed in our lives to help us learn biblical principles to ensure that we live and not die.

Yet, how many times are we like the people of Nineveh? Someone is yelling: Stop, No, Stand Up! And we are too caught up we don’t even look to the call?

We will never become “leader” enough to not need a covering/leader to help ensure we are living the best, blessed life that ensures LIFE and not DEATH.

  23. The Lord is slow to anger. But he is just and will not let sin go unpunished. Nineveh was about to find that out.

2 Cor. 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether he be in the faith; prove your ourselves. Know ye not your ownselves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobate?

  24. Where now is that great Nineveh, that den filled with young lions? It was a place where people—like lions and their cubs— walked freely and without fear.
    Nahum 2:11 NLT
We can afford to be like Nineveh that silp away we must stay steadfast in the Lord

  25. Nahum 2:13, “Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour the young lions: and I will cut off they prey from the earth, and the voice of the messengers shall no more be heard.”

What is it that would cause God to be against us? The answer is simple, Sin and Evilness.
Psalms 34:16, “The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.”
1 Peter 3:12, “… but the face of the LORD is agaisnt them that do evil.”

  26. AMP – 13 “Behold, I am against you [Nineveh],” declares the Lord of hosts, “and I will burn your chariots in the smoke, and the sword will devour your young lions. I will cut off your prey from the land, and the voice of your messengers will no longer be heard.”

How many times while reading through the blog these past years have we seen where God’s people have been warned, and yet they do their own things and God must bring judgement to them? Yet in our own minds we feel like God is picking on us when we are warned over and over again about the sin and weights in our lives, an still we hang on to it for just one more day thinking tomorrow we will repent of it, let it go, give it up, turn from it.

We hear the voice of our Pastor/ our Mentor and even the still small voice of God speaking to us to give it up, let it go we can become stronger and a better christian by growing past the offense, the sin, the temptation, and yet we just can’t seem to let it go.

We must not become like Nineveh, delivered from sin, and then slowly returning again to sin, so much so that God proclaims He is against them.

We must not waste every opportunity we have to live for the Lord with all our heart, our mind, our soul and our strength. We must be the christian that other’s look up to. We have the power within us to be an Apostle Paul, Peter, David, Solemn, Ruth, Esther. It’s up to us who we become in the Spirit, be a GIANT not a grasshopper!

  27. 13 Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.

For GOD to say I AM AGAINST THEE…… WHAAAA, what was the reasoning for them to come to this point? I don’t think that they really knew what was about to happen. When I was doing things that were nought to be done. What was I thinking??? Nothing!!! Like I would never be caught……IGNORANT!!! BUTTTTWhen I saw

  28. THY KINGDOM COME
    THE KING REIGNS

12 The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.
13 Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.

We hear it much from our Elders and we should, how they used to pray, witness, teach, preach, win, worship, etc., and we should hear from them that have gracefully moved past the age and mobility of aggressive Spiritual Warfare.

However, I am concerned, challenged and convicted over the absence of this determination among middle aged and young believers. When was the last time I won a soul? What about you? Thank you Sis. Bower for showing us how simple it is, to meet someone in a neighborhood, help them out of the ditch, go teach them the GOspel and bring them to the Kings House to be Born Again, all in the matter of 5 days.

This passage I know reveals the judgement of GOD and we should be concerned about this. However I believe we should be more concerned about how and why they got in this position. They were a powerful force, but now a powerless prey.

If we fail to keep The Kingdom of GOD our FIRST priority, we could also find ourselves in this condition. It is not time to let up, pull back, quit or leave. It is HIGH TIME to awaken and serve. Lets GO share the HOPE and LOVE of JESUS. Lets GO Teach HIS GOSPEL to whoever will receive. Lets GO Teach and Baptize in the name of JESUS.

Come on POFW lets don’t loose our passion and compassion; every lost soul is a candidate for the Harvest.

  29. 2 For the Lord hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.

Some of us are in a clean vine (for example pastor )
But ask ourselves are you in clean vine ,then maybe we need to get there fast

  30. “I am your enemy!” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “Your chariots will soon go up in smoke. Your young men will be killed in battle. Never again will you plunder conquered nations. The voices of your proud messengers will be heard no more.”
    Nahum 2:13 NLT

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God. We think that all is ok and nothing will happen but sin will be punished and there is a day of judgment. It is better to align ourselves with God and walk in his ways. Do yourselves good by staying on God’s side. We are all responsible for our actions. Choose to be blessed, choose to love God and your neighbor as yourself, choose to obey the Word of God and the man of God. It all our choices. Stop when you hear the warning and be blessed a lot sooner.

  31. 2 Even though the destroyer has destroyed Judah, the LORD will restore its honor.

No matter what your past is or how bad it is. With God all is forgiven, and your honor will be restored with God. God is a forgiven God. All you have to do is ask forgiveness and it will be done.

  32. The devil thinks he can win up against God. But he’s a fool . How can you win something that’s all ready been won . That’s crazy. Think of it like this . Imagine the New England Patriots going up to the Philadelphia Eagles and they say we are gonna win the 2018 super bowl . They gonna look at them like they had lost their minds. The devil is defeated . And God has put him in his place . So why worry when God had already won.

  33. When we keep our focus on God, it’s hard to be distracted by the enemy. God is the one who saves and keeps us from the enemy. The devil knows where our help comes from. This is why he tries daily to get us to backslide. As long as we remain focused, we will be victorious.

  34. “I am against you,”
    declares the Lord Almighty.
“I will burn up your chariots in smoke,
and the sword will devour your young lions.
I will leave you no prey on the earth.
    The voices of your messengers
    will no longer be heard.”

I have been pondering on this verse all day long. “The voices of your messengers will no longer be heard.”

You see we are a message for all those we come in contact with. It is important that we examine our lives and see what is the message that we are partraying to those that God is sending into our lives. What message are we feeding our children, friends, and the strangers we pass each day.

God is against carnality and sin and if this is the message of our lives we are against God and His judgement will one day meet our message face to face and sin will not win. The Bible tells us that after sin is finished it bring death.

Our life style and ways must align with God because we cannot run from him, we cannot be victorious against Him, and our message will never be louder or more powerful than His.

It’s not about me, it’s not about us but it’s about JESUS!

  35. 2 For the Lord hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.

3 The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken.

  36. “Soon the city is plundered, empty, and ruined. Hearts melt and knees shake. The people stand aghast, their faces pale and trembling. Where now is that great Nineveh, that den filled with young lions? It was a place where people—like lions and their cubs— walked freely and without fear. The lion tore up meat for his cubs and strangled prey for his mate. He filled his den with prey, his caverns with his plunder.”
    ‭‭Nahum‬ ‭2:10-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  37. 2 For the Lord hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.

God wants to restore the branches that have withered up from malnutrition. It’s easy to become full on the world and malnourished spiritually. It doesn’t happen all at once. It’s a slipping away a little at a time until they no longer seek God. Judgment brings destruction and God’s intention is to brake down what is wicked and build up in us what is righteous and holy by restoring his people when they repent.

  38. This Word from God is still true of every man that would choose rather to seek after the things of this world. ‘Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.’ The wages is sin is still death. If we refuse the opportunity for everlasting life and peace with him, he is against us. He did not just withhold his blessings, he allowed the destroyer to wreck his havoc amongst them. Their voices we’re no longer heard, for they had been cut off. Let our voices be heard in the heavens as we give praise and worship the one who gave us the greatest opportunity to be with him!
