Zechariah 1

In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

The Lord hath been sore displeased with your fathers.

Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.

Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.

Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?

But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the Lord of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.

Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white.

Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be.

10 And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the Lord hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.

11 And they answered the angel of the Lord that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.

12 Then the angel of the Lord answered and said, O Lord of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?

13 And the Lord answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words.

14 So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

15 And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.

16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the Lord of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.

17 Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

18 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.

19 And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.

20 And the Lord shewed me four carpenters.

21 Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.

Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord .
    Zechariah 1:4 KJV

The Lord was doing a lot of speaking in the second year of Darius. The people were back in their homeland, but they were in danger of making the same mistake as their fathers–that is of not listening to the voice of the Lord through His prophets.

God is patient and kind. He serves warning after warning, but those warnings must be heard and obeyed while the Lord is still speaking. For those who hear, the warning is a blessing. It turns them around, gives them direction, and saves them from much heartache.

However, to those who refuse to listen, the warning becomes an additional indictment laid against them in a usually long list of charges. The same word from the Lord, then, is either a blessing or a curse depending on whether we listen.

God is still speaking today. He speaks to us through His Word, through pastors and preachers, through the gifts of the Spirit, through conviction and conscience, and through the still small voice of the Holy Ghost within. Regardless of the method, we are responsible to obey what we have heard. If we turn a deaf ear, the Word spoken in mercy becomes an enemy rather than a friend.

The devil is sly. He tells us that the warning, command, or conviction is already our enemy because it tells us to put to death the lusts of the flesh. He wants us to stop listening because he knows that the Word is come to help us, and that they only way to stop It from working salvation in us is to stop us from receiving It. No matter how deeply the Word cuts, It is our healer when we hear and obey.

I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
    Psalms 85:8 KJV

  2. Therefore, say to the people, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.’ Don’t be like your ancestors who would not listen or pay attention when the earlier prophets said to them, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Turn from your evil ways, and stop all your evil practices.’ “Where are your ancestors now? They and the prophets are long dead. But everything I said through my servants the prophets happened to your ancestors, just as I said. As a result, they repented and said, ‘We have received what we deserved from the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. He has done what he said he would do.’”
    Zechariah 1:3‭-‬6 NLT
    GOD always fullfil his promises
You don’t have be like the world it talks about he how prophets ancestors refuse to listen instead they think they own things
We must steadfast in the Lord after hear this they repent something we got to be remind about were we came from just thinking of the story when GOD the Israelite out of Egypt see many times though Exodus and some in New Testament of how GOD brought you out. We can’t forget our

  3. 17 Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

Thank God for His Mercy!!! Our God is so good that He takes the time to warn us about our ways. He wants us to return to Him and still after all we done He has such great love that He will comfort us and give us prosperity again! WHAT A MERCIFUL GOD WE SERVE!!!!!

  4. 17 Again proclaim, saying, thus says the Lord of host, My cities shall again spread out through prosperity, the Lord will again comfort Zion, and will again choose Jerusalem.

  5. Then the angel said to me, “Shout this message for all to hear: ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: My love for Jerusalem and Mount Zion is passionate and strong. But I am very angry with the other nations that are now enjoying peace and security. I was only a little angry with my people, but the nations inflicted harm on them far beyond my intentions. “‘Therefore, this is what the Lord says: I have returned to show mercy to Jerusalem. My Temple will be rebuilt, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, and measurements will be taken for the reconstruction of Jerusalem. ’ “Say this also: ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: The towns of Israel will again overflow with prosperity, and the Lord will again comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem as his own.’”
    Zechariah 1:14‭-‬17 NLT
The enemies of God’s people had gone too far in executing judgement on His people. Now the Lord brings a Word of hope and prosperity to the nation that the Temple will be rebuilt. Best news of all was that the Lord was returning to show mercy to His people. No wonder the psalmist often sang, O give thanks unto the Lord , for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
    Psalms 107:1 KJV

  6. 4. Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.

On Father’s Day, we honor our fathers and talk about following in their footsteps, as well we should; but before we blindly follow their path, we must first examine the way they went to ensure it’s the way we should go.

Sometimes, as in this scripture, our earthly fathers don’t obey our Heavenly Father and He loves us enough to warn us to ‘be not as our fathers’, that there is trouble ahead if we take the path they chose.

While we love our Dads, it’s best that we learn from their mistakes and not repeat them…after all, our children are wanting to follow our path; where are we leading them?

  7. Zechariah 1:3, “Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.”

James 4:8 says, “Draw night to God, and he will draw nigh to you…”

  8. He is angry but notice the mercy he had on this great nation. If you go to Jerusalem you will notice JESUS has his name written all over it . Nation that come against it will be destroyed . We are God’s people . Anyone who messes with us will be judged or even destroyed. Yes God is angry at our sins . But he also accepts repentance . Now there is a difference between repentance and I’m sorry. If I accdiently bump into you I will say I’m sorry. But REPENTENCE means to TURN AWAY . AND DON’T LOOK BACK . GOD hears and he will forgive , heal, and rebuild .

  9. THY KINGDOM COME
    FACE THE KING

3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.

    Math is simple 1 + 1 = Unlimited POWER.

When we give ourselves to the will of GOD and serve HIS Kingdom from a heart of thanksgiving, JESUS turns to us.

A turn indicates REPENTANCE when we turn to JESUS or Repent of sin, TURN away from sin, we invite and invoke the face of JESUS toward us. JESUS alone is worth of our PRAISE as we lift up HOLY Hands to HIM. He shines HIS HOLY Hand toward us.

This seems simple, follow, submit and obey and always have the LORD JESUS on working for us. I encourage you today to REPENT and TURN to the LORD and HIS eternal promise to us is that HE will turn to us.

  10. “Proclaim further: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the Lord will again comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem.’ ”
    Zechariah 1:17 NIV

Even after the evil that Israel was enveloped in, God still sends promise. As long as they are truly repented. My children know that we can tell whether they are truly sorry when they’ve gotten in trouble or had a dispute with one of they’re siblings. And they know if they are truly repetitive than any discipline will not be as severe. So much relies on our heart condition. Where are we at in our love and relationship with God? Are we just here for the blessing or are we here for the relationship?

  11. 5 Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?

Where are the fathers of our homes today? Many children are fatherless and the home has no guidance of a good dad. Where are the godly fathers? Many other homes have no dad to guide them in godly principles. I pray for strong godly fathers because they are the backbone for strong godly families. Lord Strengthen the fathers today as they lead their homes to follow after you. Let them follow our Pastor’s example as he is the ‘father’ of our church. I bless all our fathers today in Jesus name. You are making a difference in the lives of your children.

  12. Zachariah 1

3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.

Gods plea for the people to return to Him.
The cry of a Father wanting His children to choose to live for Him. On this Fathers Day I give thanks first to my Heavenly Father who never leaves our side . I also give thanks to my Daddy who taught us their was only one Father that was God. On respect he would tell us don’t call me Father call me Dad. I’m so thankful that my my dad led us daily in a walk with God. He taught daily by his finest example as a Christian. I pray for those who today have the Fathers side who have let go of His Hand. He is always right there waiting. Zechariah begins in this chapter to give out the call return forsake the things of the fathers that led you from truth. Zechariah s visions are prophetic of things to come and God once again makes Hus plea for repentance. Time is much closer now for the fulfilling of these prophecies. Grab hold of the Father’s Hand . He never lets go and when we do His Hand is still there waiting for our return.

  13. “‘I’ve come back to Jerusalem, but with compassion this time.’ This is God speaking. ‘I’ll see to it that my Temple is rebuilt.’ A Decree of God -of-the-Angel-Armies! ‘The rebuilding operation is already staked out.’ Say it again—a Decree of God -of-the-Angel-Armies: ‘My cities will prosper again, God will comfort Zion again, Jerusalem will be back in my favor again.’”
    Zechariah 1:16‭-‬17 MSG

‘What a Mighty GOD we serve!’

It’s through His mercy, and love❤

And it is in our hands to continue to reach for the lost, to let them know about Jesus and to testify of His mercy and love.
My dear friends, if you know people who have wandered off from God’s truth, don’t write them off. Go after them. Get them back and you will have rescued precious lives from destruction and prevented an epidemic of wandering away from God.
    James 5:19‭-‬20 MSG

Praise The LORD church! ‘God will comfort Zion again.’

  14. 3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.
4 Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.
5 Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?
6 But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the Lord of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.

It is a choice to serve God. Our choice. We cannot go one someone else’s revelations and convictions. We have to find God for ourselves and study to show ourselves approved by the Eord of God. Stay strong stay focused. And let his Kingdom Come.

  15. Don’t be like your ancestors who would not listen or pay attention when the earlier prophets said to them, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies say: Turn from your evil ways, and stop all your evil practice.’

    Zechariah 1:4 NLT

We have in our hands a great opportunity to obey the Lord (Jesus) and walk in the confidence that he is in our side.

  17. “Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.”
    ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He said turn unto me and I’ll turn unto you. Simple as that. It makes sense you know; humility is the key. You have to be willing to let your flesh go to be closer to God. The downfall of lucifer was due to pride. The first step is yours when it comes to salvation.

  18. 2 The Lord hath been sore displeased with your fathers.

With today being Father’s Day, it would be a great time to look at ourselves and see if God would be displeased with us…

  19. “Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.”
    ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    http://bible.com/1/zec.1.3.kjv

With God, it’s always an open invitation to repent. Notice that the Word says draw near to him . We’re not waiting on God, He’s waiting on us. We draw near to him and He will draw near to us.

  20. 2 The Lord hath been sore displeased with your fathers.

God has provided a plethora of examples of his desire for us to turn away from sin and to follow him. He will help us every step of the way. It is up to us to take his hand and then to take the steps. He won’t let us fall; we just need to make sure that we never let go.

  21. Amp – A Call to Repentance
1 In [a]the eighth month of the second year [of the reign] of [b]Darius [the king of Persia], the word of the Lord came to Zechariah (the Lord remembers) the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying, 2 “The Lord was extremely angry with your fathers. 3 Therefore say to the Jews, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts (armies), “Return to Me,” declares the Lord of hosts, “and I shall return to you. 4 Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, “Repent [that is, change your way of thinking] and return now from your evil way [of life] and from your evil deeds.”’ But they did not listen or pay attention to Me,” declares the Lord. 5 “Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever? 6 But did not My words (warnings) and My statutes, which I commanded My servants the prophets, overtake your fathers? Then they repented and said, ‘As the Lord of hosts planned to do to us [in discipline and punishment], in accordance with our ways and our deeds, so has He dealt with us.’”’”

I’ve heard people say why would God do that? Why would he judge people? He’s all about grace and mercy. Yes He is all about grace and mercy, just His word proclaims boldly that the day of judgement is coming for all. Time and time again He gave Israel the opportunity to repent. Time and time again He gives us the same opportunity to repent and turn from our selfish, prideful ways. Will we heed the call? Will we be like Israel?

We can never say that God has not been merciful ….. His mercies are new every morning and forgiveness awaits at the door. Repentance means turning away from …. being sorry and then going back to the same sin. Turn away from, cut it off, put it behind us and live for God with our heart, soul, mind and strength. That is what God expects from His children.

  22. In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

2 The Lord hath been sore displeased with your fathers.

God’s almighty power and sovereign dominion, should engage and encourage sinners to repent and turn to Him. It is very desirable to have the Lord of hosts for our friend, and very dreadful to have him for our enemy. Review what is past, and observe the message God sent by his servants, the prophets, to your fathers. Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings. Be persuaded to leave your sins, as the only way to prevent approaching ruin. What is become of our fathers, and of the prophets that preached to them? They are all dead and gone. Here they were, in the towns and countries where we live, passing and repassing in the same streets, dwelling in the same houses, trading in the same shops and exchanges, worshipping God in the same places. But where are they? When they died, there was not an end of them; they are in eternity, in the world of spirits, the unchangeable world to which we hasten apace. Where are they? Those of them who lived and died in sin, are in torment. Those who lived and died in Christ, are in heaven; and if we live and die as they did, we shall be with them shortly and eternally. If they minded not their own souls, is that a reason why their posterity should ruin theirs also? The prophets are gone. Christ is a Prophet that lives for ever, but all other prophets have a period put to their office. Oh that this consideration had its due weight; that dying ministers are dealing with dying people about their never-dying souls, and an awful eternity, upon the brink of which both are standing! In another world, both we and our prophets shall live for ever: to prepare for that world ought to be our great care in this. The preachers died, and the hearers died, but the word of God died not; not one jot or title of it fell to the ground; for he is righteous.

  23. A curse disguised in a blessing

17 Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

The blessing of the Lord is a promise from god to his people. If you serve the Lord faithfully , you will be blessed. Some folks only come to God because of a dire situation and when the blessings start to come, they don’t need God anymore. Through prosperity they were spread abroad. The blessing of the Lord is not a charity line. It works the same way a father blesses his children. We give them what they need first, then we give them what they want as long as it reasonable. But the same way that the prodigal son vanished with his enheritance and the prosperity or blessing of the Lord scattered him, the church is the same way. We cannot let the blessing take our focus off Jesus. I want to be blessed but I don’t want to go to hell blessed.
Pastor taught us about the plumbing line. How you always have to measure yourself against the word of God to make sure you line up. This is what will keep us being blessed but not scattered. Keeping ourselves lines up with the word of God and thanking him always for the many blessings.

  24. 3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lordof hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.

When we turn toward God in the direction of Godliness and holiness God turns towards us and embraces us. As father’s we must go towards righteousness so our family can follow.

  25. 5 Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?

Simply God is fed up. He has tried sending prophets who spoke Gods Word but yet they have not changed their ways as a nation. The ways of their fathers before them have heard the same message. So they would only repent long enough to find redemption. Once they got content enough they started seeking self comfort. If they stand for the purpose of sin then they will be scattered as the people of Babel. God is calling us today to choose whom we will serve. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

  26. Therefore, say to the people, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.’(Zechariah 1:3 NLT)

The Lord our God can speak through anyone to get his message across he has used his prophets some listen and refuse to repent.

  27. 4 Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.

We have a loving and merciful god. Whose Grace is Everlasting and always waiting upon us to turn from anyways that are displeasing to him. when the Lord convicts us it is not to bring us down it is to merely Lift us up and draw so away from our sinful nature.

  28. “Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.”
    ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭1:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Oh lord open up my EARS Jesus I want to hear your correction and apply it to my life I will forever be hungry for the future! Jesus speak into my life through ministeres and men and woman of God who are hungry for the things of the Kingdom! All through out the Bible all succces was the men and woman who sinned but did not let that sin eat them alive but cast down that sin and went forward. God knows that we are all gonna make mistakes but all he wants is our hearts to be open for correction.

Obedience is apart of correction and dicsapline. And all we need is to have the fruit of what our walks with God will need to seak more of the things of the KINGDOM!

  29. 4 Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.

Beware of following the wrong persons foot steps. They might just be going against the will of GOD.

  30. 21 Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it

They will do the same to us but GOD is so merciful on us . We need to make it right. Before it’s too late

  31. Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts.
    Zechariah 1:3 NKJV

Sin is the thing that separates us from the Lord. However, it is the Lord’s will to restore relationship with his people. That’s why he came and gave himself as a sacrifice paying the price. It is never God’s intention for us to be without Him. Sometimes all it takes is us the people just wanting him back in our lives and He immediately forgives and restores.

  32. 3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.

We need to turn to God first, before He turns to us.

We need to turn from self will, sin, and selfishness and face God’s will, repentance, and selflessness. And not just face it and see it, but follow the truth and do what is RIGHT. AND THEN, God will turn to us.
He will bless us, strengthen us, encourage us, and show us the way to go.

  33. “The Lord hath been sore displeased with your fathers. Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.”
    ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭1:2-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The path that is set before us by others is not the one that we HAVE TO take. We can listen to Hod and obey. We can make our own choice. We can follow God with our whole heart, mind, sprint, and soul.

  34. Verse 3 NLT “Therefore, say to the people, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.’ We must be obedient and heed the warnings. We cannot allow ourselves to go from one sin to yet another; but, rather fix our thinking and align it with what God wants – not what we want.

  35. 3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.

4 Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.

  36. 14 So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

“He is jealous for me; loves like a hurricane, I am a tree bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy.” He wants relationship. He wants us, His children to repent and come running back to Him. He has a plan and we should desire His will go always be done. But everything we do, is a deciding factor to how God will react. He has His will and His plan, no doubt. But what we do results with certain reactions and both are demonstrated in this chapter. In verse 3, if we repent and turn back to God, He will turn to us – obedience results in His will being done. But like verse 14, we can also make things worse for ourselves if we choose not to repent. The more wrong we do, the more jealous and displeased God is and the more effort He has go make to get us refocused on Him. The bigger the problem, the harder the fall. Don’t be enraged when you finally fall because God had to get your attention somehow, even if it’s far beyond what He ever intended for you. He will draw you back to His will.

  37. 10 The rider standing among the myrtle trees then explained, “They are the ones the LORD has sent out to patrol the earth.”

Yes, God has angels patrolling the earth. He gives guidance to angels to follow, and they can protect us and advise us. Spiritually angels are around us both good and bad. Angels get to speak with God, and provide feedback.

  38. As parents we can sometimes feel that we have no idea what we’re doing. It seems that eveytime we make progress we wind up slipping back two paces. In our failures we pray that God will spare our children from the sins and failures of the parents. Here, we read the pleading to not be like our parents, quit sinning and God would come back to them.

  39. 5 Where are your ancestors now? And the prophets, do they live forever? 6 But did not my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, overtake your ancestors?

“Then they repented and said, ‘The Lord Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve, just as he determined to do.’”

I am the first generation of Apostolic Pentecostal believer. My parents are Catholics and I never grew up being a fond of being a catholic. I would always dread going to church with my mom. I praise God that He reached me! In my mind I wanted to live “life” yet I would ask myself if I am reading His Word and His Word is telling me what’s going to happen if I don’t obey, then why am I going to go against His Word and suffer consequences. Until this day, He has showed me many things and has always kept me walking in the right path. I thank God because my children are growing up in the truth and for that I rejoice and praise Him!!! I could’ve been doing so many other things but yet I choose to serve and live for you Lord!!!

  40. Zechariah 1:4

Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.

Our fathers bleed and fought for us to take ahold it f the torch of the Apostolic faith, it is now our duty to carry this gospel in its entirety.
We can have a better understanding of doctrine and our foundation has to biblical

That we do not steer away to modernization because times and seasons will change be we, the Apostolic church, will keep being Apostolic!

  41. What are these four agents of God? It has been suggested that they may represent the four judgements of God mentioned in Ezekiel 14;21 and Revelations 6:1-8 these biejng war famine, wild animals, and pestilence. An other suggestion which seems more probable is that they repreent four successive powers that overthrow the four empires pictured in the previous vision that is media-Persia overthrew Babylon, Greece overthew media-Persia,Rome overthew Greece and the revived Rome empire of the last days will be overthrown by the great messianic kingdom. Certainly the general truth is clearly brought out that every evil power that risie up against the people of God will eventually be overthrown and judged.
