Zechariah 9

The burden of the word of the Lord in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the Lord.

And Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise.

And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.

Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.

Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.

And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.

And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.

And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

10 And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.

11 As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.

12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;

13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.

14 And the Lord shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.

15 The Lord of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.

16 And the Lord their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.

17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.

  1. Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey— riding on a donkey’s colt.
    Zechariah 9:9 NLT

How often do we miss what God is doing because He doesn’t operate according to our expectations and timetable? The Jews rejoiced when Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey because they believed that He was the fulfillment of this verse; but just a few days later, they cried, “Crucify Him!” We likewise rejoice when God is doing things that lift us up and give us hope; but when He seems inattentive or is acting in ways we don’t understand, then we become disillusioned, disappointed, angry.

We all want God to do things our way. We want victory now. We want victory to be easy and painless. We want victory to feel like victory.

The Jews didn’t recognize Calvary as a victory, because they didn’t understand His plan. In God’s plan, sometimes victory feels like loss, like pain, like crucifixion. Sometimes things look far worse, a disaster even, before they look better. Sometimes things even look like unrecoverable-from failures; but if you have the patience and faith to wait, God can heal the sick, restore the backslider, raise the dead.

We can never give up simply because we do not understand His plan.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
    Romans 8:28 KJV

  2. Zechariah 9:11-12 CEV “When I made a sacred agreement with you, my people, we sealed it with blood.[h] Now some of you are captives in waterless pits, but I will come to your rescue and offer you hope. Return to your fortress, because today I will reward you with twice what you had.” This verse reminded me of our memory verse once again for the month of June as we were bought with a price: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 KJV “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” It also reminded me of what our focus will be in VBS this year “Jesus Rescues”.

  3. The Lord of Heaven’s Armies will protect his people, and they will defeat their enemies by hurling great stones. They will shout in battle as though drunk with wine. They will be filled with blood like a bowl, drenched with blood like the corners of the altar. On that day the Lord their God will rescue his people, just as a shepherd rescues his sheep. They will sparkle in his land like jewels in a crown.
    Zechariah 9:15‭-‬16 NLT
In this chapter today God is fighting for Jerusalem and Israel yesterday we song about GOD is fighting for pushing back the darkness and lightning up the kingdom
In the name of JESUS enemies defeated

  4. 16 The Lord their God will save them in that day, as a flock of His people. For they shall be like the jewels of a crown, lifted like a banner over His land. For how great is it’s goodness and how great it’s beauty! Grain shall make the young men thrive, and new wine the young women.

  5. 12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;

Being the body of Christ, people are not just called to reach the Lost but to fight in his name against the greater giving enemy of this world. Every day while we are attempting to rescue the lost sheep and being them to God we are fighting a battle against the opposing enemy. We must protect ourselves with the whole armor of God I pray that God equip us everyday with the right weapons of warfare

  6. Zechariah 9:12 (English Amp) Return to the stronghold [ of security and prosperity] , you prisoners of hope; even today do I declare that I declare that I will restore double your former prosperity to you. [ Psalms 40:2] He drew me up out of a horrible pit [ a pit of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay ( froth and slime,) and set my feet upon a rock, straying my steps and establishing my goings. For I will sing a song of praise to my Lord. I will worship and put all trust and confident into him. We are blessed, happy, fortunate to have a great God that does mighty works for us. Lord I will delight to do Your will and law is in my heart. We will give God the praise and glory. Thank you for all our babies being born again and renewing lives.

  7. 9. Cry out with joy, O daughter of Zion! Shout jubilantly, O daughter of Jerusalem! Look-your KING IS COMING; He is righteous and able to save. He comes seated humbly on a donkey, on a colt, a foal of a donkey. Voice

The next time He comes, it won’t be as a baby in swaddling clothes or riding humbly on a donkey colt, but He will appear in all His royal glory!

    1 Thessalonians 4:
    16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

    17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

    18. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. KJV

I can hear the chariots rumble
I can see the marching throng
    The flurry of God’s trumpets
Spells the end of sin and wrong
    Regal robes are now unfolding
    Heaven’s grandstand’s all in place
    Heaven’s choir now assembled
    Start to sing “Amazing Grace”

    O the King is coming
    The King is coming
I just heard the trumpets sounding
And now His face I see
    O the King is coming
    The King is coming
Praise God, He’s coming for me

    Prophecy Fullfilled

Matthew 21 New International Version (NIV)

Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King
21 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. 3 If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”

4 This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet:

    5 “Say to Daughter Zion,
‘See, your king comes to you,
gentle and riding on a donkey,
and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’

Oh Gentle Shepherd He is coming .

    James 5:7-9 ESV
Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door.

  9. “Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey— riding on a donkey’s colt.

Because of the covenant I made with you, sealed with blood, I will free your prisoners from death in a waterless dungeon.”
    ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭9:9, 11 NLT

There’s some good stuff in here.
I always have to read these chapters about 3-4 times but the top scripture there caught my eye because I love seeing prophecy that’s already been fulfilled.

So let’s talk about Jesus and what He’s done for you and me. We’ve been hearing a lot about His mercy and His grace here lately but how much are you really thinking about it.

Every time my faith seems to drop.
Or every time a silly thought of wanting to disappear comes in my mind.
It’s like Jesus reminds where He brought me from.
Jesus reminds me that I have a purpose.
    You have a purpose
    We all have a purpose.
I think of those countless nights where I tossed and turned but when I was filled with Holy Ghost I was at peace with everything.
I was thankful for every small thing I had.
I was thankful for the roof I had over my head when I would drive passed the homeless people sleeping under the bridge.
A covenant was made with the blood shed from the crucifixion.
Thank you Jesus for your grace.
    Next level
    Let’s go change the world
    We have the answer

  10. 9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto ther: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

Matt 21:2 2Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. 3And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them. 4All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,

5Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

6And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, 7And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. 8And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.

9And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

The prophecy of Zachariah 9:9 becomes a reality in Matt 21. Our King Jesus makes His entrance. In the same way He will return to us triumphantly bringing the peace that we all need. We await His return with Hope of what’s to come. We will not faint, we will labor for the fields are white and the harvest it’s ripe!!! We Serve A Mighty King!! JESUS!!!

  11. 9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

    12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;

  12. Zechariah 9:9, “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.”

    St. Matt. 21:1-6
    1) AND when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,
    2) Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.

  14. iLove the Kingdom

Then the surviving Philistines will worship our God
and become like a clan in Judah.
The Philistines of Ekron will join my people,
as the ancient Jebusites once did.

This is yet another prophecy that lets us know that God planned on letting in the Gentiles into the Kingdom of God. The answers are in the book. The Jewish scholars memorized the Torah and wrote it by hand to preserve it’s writings and yet they could not grasp it’s true meaning. God is the One who can bring revelation and He will if we get in the Book. The Apostles received great revelation in the Word of God and God was able to finally graft in the Gentiles into the Kingdom.

  15. 14 And the Lord shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.

  16. Come back to the place of safety, all of you prisoners who still have hope! I promise this very day that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles. Zachariah 9:12 NLT

Where is that place of safety?
When I reflect on my own life the struggles and uncertainties that life brings. For years I will try to create safety with my own abilities and often find myself disappointed, scared, intimidated, and often bound by fear. Being a prisoner in my own mind. paralyzed , unhappy angry, in discontent with my own self. But his grace shines upon me and gave me power to overcome my own self, breaking the strongholds that have bound me. He’s still working on me shaping me he’s the potter I’m the clay.

  17. THY KINGDOM COME
    THE KING

15 The Lord of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.
16 And the Lord their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.
17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.

The Kingdom of GOD is a battlefield for the soul that begins in the mind. The deceitful ploys and attacks of satan are intended to destroy the people of GOD. However the Grace or Favor of GOD has empowered and equipped The Kingdom of GOD with promises such as these that are eternal.

The Goodness of GOD leads us to repentance. When we recognize all the benefits of HIS Kingdom, we WORSHIP JESUS.

I pray for revelation to all around us today that others will see our love for JESUS and want to come PRAY as well.

  18. 11 As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.

Oh the wonder working power of the blood of Jesus!! How amazing is the grace of God to pour out His blood for all mankind – we have a hope and the lost people around us have hope! We gotta go compel them and tell them how good God is and how His blood redeems and saves us all! God’s been too good to not tell everybody about Him!

  19. 8 And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.
There is an amazing account of how God protected his people when Alexander the Great was marching against the cities. History tells us Tyrus and sidon were impenetrable but Alexander the Great conquered them in 7 months and then all the cities of the Philistines as well. Josephus the historian, tells the account of how the high priest began to offer sacrifices to ask God for protection. God gave him a dream that all the preacher dressed in their holy garments and the people should all dressed in white. Then they should without fear March out to meet Alexander the Great and his army. Then much to his army surprise Alexander the Great saluted the high priest when he met him and instead of slaughtering them he gave them their requests. The high priest asked that they would be able to continue to follow their own laws and would not have to pay tribute during the 7th year. When Alexander was asked by his second-in-command why he didn’t slaughter them, he told them he had seen that high priest in his holy garments in a dream when he first began his Conquest. He received this as confirmation of that dream that God would give him dominion over Persia. Alexander then proceeded to offer to God sacrifice as instructed by the high priest. Only God could orchestrate such a thing. Only God could protect his people when it seems All Is Lost because there is no God like our God there is no King like our King and there is nobody greater than he. He is king of kings and Lord of lords, alpha omega beginning and the end the one which was and is and is to come the Almighty!!!! Glory to God in the highest!!!

  20. AMP – 11 As for you also, because of the blood of My covenant with you [My chosen people, the covenant that was sealed with blood]
I have freed your prisoners from the waterless pit.
    12 Return to the stronghold [of security and prosperity], O prisoners who have the hope;
Even today I am declaring that I will restore double [your former prosperity] to you [as firstborn among nations].

Prophecies of destruction and promises of protection and restoration are spoken in this chapter. God is not slack concerning His promises and has said that after destruction comes to those who are not part of the remnant, He will restore those that belong to the remnant and give them a double portion of what has been taken from them.

POFW the enemy has stolen some precious people from our flock through deception, but we stand on the promises of God that everything we have been through, God is going to replace with double.

  21. 3 And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.

4 Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.

These verses show that all the money in the world can’t save you when destruction comes. The only sure foundation is not on weath’s shifting sanda, but on the rock Jesus Christ.

  22. Dios en su infinita misericordia ama a su pueblo y lo salvará y nos proteje su amor y belleza es grande el nunca falla y cumple sus promesas I love my God thank Jesus

  23. Dios en su infinita misericordia nos salvará y librara el ama su pueblo su amor y belleza son tan grande que aún tiene misericordia de nosotros I love my God thank for your help and love

  24. Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey— riding on a donkey’s colt. Because of the covenant I made with you, sealed with blood, I will free your prisoners from death in a waterless dungeon.
    Zechariah 9:9‭, ‬11 NLT
Oh merciful GOD, i would be lost and deep in sin. Thank you for salvation❤❤❤❤

But the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children
    Psalms 103:17 NLT

  25. 8 And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.

As the children of Israel turn again to their God and put away their own ways or idols, God turns back to them and protects them. Ps 34:7 The angel of the Lord encamped has round about them that fear him, and deliverers them. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and this fear is respect. Respect God, His word and ways in obedience and you will receive his blessings, protection and favor.

  26. 9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

I don’t think my feeble mind will ever truly understand that our Sovereign God, the Master and Creator of the whole universe humbled Himself in such a way. The fact that I can worship my God and while He is lofty and seemingly untouchable in all His splendor He constantly humbles Himself so that we may have relationship with Him. You amaze me,Jesus. I love you

  27. 9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

Hundreds of years before Jesus ever stepped foot on this earth these words were prophesied to Jerusalem. Unfortunately when the time came to fulfill those promises most people didn’t recognize it was being fulfilled. We better open our eyes to see God’s promises to us or they could pass us by. ..

  28. “Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O Daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King (Messianic King) is coming to you; He is righteous and endowed with salvation, Humble and unassuming [in submission to the will of the Father] and riding on a donkey, Upon a colt, the foal of a donkey.”
    ‭‭ZECHARIAH‬ ‭9:9‬ ‭AMP‬‬

They were given the prophesy of the King of Kings coming down in order to bring salvation. Yet when the time came they were so caught up in themselves that they did not recognize the prophesy being fulfilled.
We all have been told in the word of God, that He once again is coming back. We don’t need to become so caught up in ourselves and our busy day to day lives, that we do not see that the end times are here.
Get over yourself, wake up and seek after God, for He is returning for His people!

  29. 9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

  30. Zechariah 9:14-16

  31. Does it do any good?

3 And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.
4 Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.

Matt 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Working at a bank, one of the most used words is profit. The word profit means.”1.
a financial gain, especially the difference between the amount earned and the amount spent in buying, operating, or producing something.”
As we read in our chapter today, Tyrus was overflowing with wealth. When silver is as dust, and gold is flowing through the streets, in our society today we would say that they were rich. Yet what value did it hold. Have you seen any gold from the time and area at walmart lately? Yes we need money and finances to grow the kingdom of God, because our world has a monetary system. But what about the soul? I pray that we not forget what and why Jesus died on the cross. It was because of you , me , and those around us. Each and every day people slip into eternity not ever knowing the Gospel. I have to ask myself how many people I pass by every day that will not make it home to their families. I added Matt 16:26 because it asks the question what do you gain if you gain the world but not save your soul? This is the question we must ask.

For His Kingdom to Come we must push aside the love of money, and rekindle our love for the broken, hurting soul.

  32. Come back to the place of safety, all of you prisoners who still have hope! I promise this very day that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles. Zachariah 9:12 NLT

The place of safety can be anywhere, just call on Jesus and we will find safety and peace.

  33. 16 And the Lord their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.

17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.

    My GOD IS FAITHFUL!!!

  34. 9;14-17
An unknown commentator vividly describes what amounts to a “holy war”

Not only will God’s victors drink full of the blood of their vanquished enemies and be like sacrificial bowls filled with blood to be sprinkled upon the sides of the altar and its Horne, but they shall come through gory triumph bespattered with blood like the comers of the altar.

Merrill under depicts the comtrast between Israel end her enemies:

In apparent antithesis to Israel’s enemies as sling-stones trodden in the mire, in the preceding verses, Zechariah companies Zion’s victorious sons ( the saved remnant ) to precious stones of a crown which sparkle over the Lord’s land. the figure is evidently of the reward of the faithful martyrs and valiant saint of Israel who enter the kingdom of messiah.

  35. Glory and praise all to the Lord Jesus! to see ourselves still continues to serve Him through the ups and downs of life. He is our Savior. Thank the Lord for His grace and mercy that’s new every morning. He is coming soon anytime and we pray one another that we will not be distracted by anything in this world but always keep on looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Pray one another, strengthen one another as we see and feel the day’s approaching. You’re my brother you’re my sister. The Lord know’s what He’s doing in each of our lives. All things work together for good to them that love the Lord. Focus on the positive side, say positive things with one another, encourage one another because at times we’re the one that needs encouragement. We can do nothing without the Lord. Thank the Lord that His eye’s much more on us His children. He’s there to comfort us when we felt beaten at times with the things we undergo in this life. He remains true to His word. He’s the same God I knew when I was a youmg people. He’s the same yesterday today and forever. He’s there when I felt I’m alone. Thank you Lord Jesus. He’s there to protect us. He sent His angels to guard us. We pray that we will obey His will in this last days to share the love our Lord Jesus to those who are hurting, outcast, hungry with His love for that’s the main reason why He came here, for them to be comforted us well. He is the Savior of the world. He made us more than conquerors to win the lost for Him.

  36. Where are the fathers?

6 And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.

When a war begins many or close to all of the men are sent away to fight, some of them will not return. It is the call of warfare. When a man gives his life for something he believes in it is considered noble at least into him. The day we live in however has no chivalry. The true essence of a man in the worlds eyes is slowly changing and with it the fathers are being pulled away for causes that are less than noble to say the least. When a child is left to his own council he will learn from the world around him. If I were satin I would do exactly what he’s doing… if you remove the strong man of the house you have taken it. When the strong man doesn’t even know where his place is you don’t even have to fight to take his place. Satin is trying to remove the fathers from our generation to destroy our future. We as fathers have to take a stand against the enemy and claim our God given place as heads of the family and lead them in the ways of the Lord. No one else is going to do it for us. There is no program that can take the place of a father and satin knows it. Just as our example given by God, there is one Father above all, the same goes for our families. There are no replacement fathers just as there cannot be a step God. Fathers mount up, take your position seriously and lead! There is no time to waste.

  37. “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.”
    ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭9:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Foreshadowing the hope of Christ.

  38. Come back to the place of safety, all you prisoners who still have hope! I promise this very day that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles.
    Zechariah 9:12 NLT

Our hope should be put on our Lord. It’s in trusting and having faith that He will do what he said he will do. There is a promise with God. I get to thinking in a world that is filled with hurts it may seem hard for people to still have hope because people fail people and words and promises have been broken. Yet it is the Lord that says I will do. Come back, come back to real love that cares for your wellbeing. Come back for I will bless.

    Psalms 42:5
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar. Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God? Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
    Psalms 42:5‭-‬11 KJV

  39. 9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

I am greatful that Jesus did not just show up for a moment in time for only one reason but He showed up as all knowing God in all of time for all we would ever need. When we call on Him, He will show up in any situation we will ever go through for anything we would ever need. Thank you Jesus! When we need a miracle we can call on Him.

  40. Because of the covenant I made with you, sealed with blood, I will free your prisoners from death in a waterless dungeon.
    Zechariah 9:11 NLT

God is always true to His promises. If He made a promise He will definitely keep it and it will come to pass. The more we obey His word, the more promises God will make come to pass in our lives.

  41. 16 And the Lord their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.

A flock that has no sheep will perish for lack of vision. God is our good Shepard who leads us in ways that are righteous. When people turn in repentance from their wicked ways and seek Gods face he will forgive them and rise them back up.

  42. 13 Judah is my bow, and Israel is my arrow. Jerusalem is my sword, and like a warrior, I will brandish it against the Greeks.

Another way to say this verse “PRAISE is my bow, and PRAISE is my arrow. The BIBLE is my sword!

Lets throw praises at all times, and use our bible to guard and guide us.

  43. 10 And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.
He will protect. He will give peace.
