Zechariah 10

Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lordshall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.

Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the Lord of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.

Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.

And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the Lord is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.

And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.

And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the Lord.

I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.

And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again.

10 I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them.

11 And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away.

12 And I will strengthen them in the Lord; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the Lord.

  1. Verses 3-5 MSG “God-of-the-Angel-Armies will step in and take care of his flock, the people of Judah. He’ll revive their spirits, make them proud to be on God’s side. God will use them in his work of rebuilding, use them as foundations and pillars, Use them as tools and instruments, use them to oversee his work. They’ll be a workforce to be proud of, working as one, their heads held high, striding through swamps and mud, Courageous and vigorous because God is with them, undeterred by the world’s thugs.” This past Sunday we learned in Sunday School that we are instruments that God uses to fulfill His purpose on this earth. Verse 5 CEV says “They will join in the fighting, and together they will trample their enemies like mud. They will fight, because I, the Lord, will be on their side. And they will crush the enemy cavalry.” We also did an illustration that if you try and do everything on your own (one Solo cup), you can get crushed; but, when we work together (many cups), we share the weight evenly. That’s the way God expects the church to be –many members working together as one body.

  2. 7 Those of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as if with wine yes, their children shall see it and be glad, their heart shall rejoice in the Lord.

  3. 1 Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field

    James 5:7
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

The Bible speaks many times indications of the letter rain bringing a better Harvest than the former rain. It speaks of in James that God is being patient for the Greater Harvest of Souls then that has ever been done. This passage tells us we need to continue to pray for the latter rain of harvest and it tells us that God is eagerly waiting for us to give us that answer prayer. We already have a territory and dominion over this city God is already prophesied that there will be a great harvest. We need to continue to pray for this Harvest and sow the seeds of faith

  4. 12. By my power I will make my people strong, and by my authority they will go wherever they wish. I, the LORD, have spoken!” NLT

    Luke 10:
    16. He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

    17. And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

    18. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

    19. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. KJV

  5. “When I whistle to them, they will come running, for I have redeemed them. From the few who are left, they will grow as numerous as they were before.”
    ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭10:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“From the few who are left, they will grow as numerous as they were before”. As I read that specific passage, the next verse was brought to my mind.

“He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭9:37‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The harvest will always outweigh the workers.
I believe out of the people who are working and serving at POFW will come a great harvest, and as more workers are added to the Kingdom, the greater the harvest will be!
The harvest will always outweigh the workers, so let’s get busy!

  6. orth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.

5 And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the Lord is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.

  7. “I will strengthen Judah and save Israel ; I will restore them because of my compassion. It will be as though I had never rejected them, for I am the Lord their God, who will hear their cries. When I whistle to them, they will come running, for I have redeemed them. From the few who are left, they will grow as numerous as they were before.
    Zechariah 10:6‭, ‬8 NLT

We are the redeemed of the Lord!!!!! It is in His compassion that i have been washed in His blood no longer tormented by fear and shame!!! My GOD is great, and greatly to be praised❤

Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
    Isaiah 51:11 KJV

And to know salvation is for all that is willing to obtain it.
❤I am living a blessed life in the Lord❤

  8. Zechariah 10:-7-9

7 And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the Lord.
8 I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.
9 And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again.

  9. When I whistle to them, they will come running, for I have redeemed them. From the few who are left, they will grow as numerous as they were before.
    Zechariah 10:8 NLT

Growing up when we played outside we always knew who was being called home. We all knew our call. We can recognize our parents whistles or their voice. Lord, I want to stay so tuned into You that I don’t ever miss when You whistle or call me to do something. I want to stay sensitive to Your Voice. In Jesus name.

  10. Zechariah 10
12 And I will strengthen them in the Lord; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the Lord.

    Today
In You oh Lord I put my trust.
There is power in the Name of Jesus.

  11. iLove the Kingdom
Zechariah 10:2 (NLT)  Household gods give worthless advice, fortune-tellers predict only lies, and interpreters of dreams pronounce falsehoods that give no comfort. So my people are wandering like lost sheep; they are attacked because they have no shepherd.

Whew, look at this verse…WOW! This should put alot of fortune tellers outta business, “Fortune-tellers predict only lies…” With that being said, I did alittle research this morning.

Fortune-telling is the practice of predicting information about a person’s life.[1] The scope of fortune-telling is in principle identical with the practice of divination. The difference is that divination is the term used for predictions considered part of a religious ritual, invoking deities or spirits, while the term fortune-telling implies a less serious or formal setting, even one of popular culture, where belief in occult workings behind the prediction is less prominent than the concept of suggestion, spiritual or practical advisory or affirmation. There is opposition to fortune-telling in Christianity, Islam and Judaism based on scriptural prohibitions against divination.

Ok, now comes the really interesting thing, think about it…Why is fortune telling so popular? Why are psychics so popular in American culture? The answer is people attempt to gain personal power over others.

In 1982, Danny Jorgensen, a professor of Religious Studies at the University of South Florida offered a spiritual explanation for the popularity of fortune-telling. He said that people visit psychics or fortune-tellers to gain self-understanding,[8] and knowledge which will lead to personal power or success in some aspect of life.[9]

In 1995, Ken Feingold offered a different explanation for why people seek out fortune-tellers: “We desire to know other people’s actions and to resolve our own conflicts regarding decisions to be made and our participation in social groups and economies. […] Divination seems to have emerged from our knowing the inevitability of death. The idea is clear—we know that our time is limited and that we want things in our lives to happen in accord with our wishes. Realizing that our wishes have little power, we have sought technologies for gaining knowledge of the future… gain power over our own [lives].”

Well, the truth is written for the selfish people who would try to bypass Jesus in order to fulfill their own lusts of the flesh… The truth is fortune tellers predict only lies…yep the devil is the father of lies and it is not surprizing his false prophets speak lies.

  12. “And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the Lord is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded. And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.”
    ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭10:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When I read this I say “THATS ME!” I wanna fight for Jesus in prayer this morning I started to prophecy over myself stating I was gonna be a mighty warrior for Jesus and help all the hungry people that are lost in the mist of the chaos out here in this region, in this city, in this WORLD!
You can use your own testimony and talk about Gods reckless love how merciful and compassionate He truly is.
He didn’t have to save me but He did!
He answered when I didn’t even know him.
He breathed life into me before I was even alive!

    Let’s Go change the world!

  13. Thank Jesus for your promise and miracle .. 7 Those of Ephraim Shall be like a mighty man and their 💓 shall rejoice as if with wine Yes their children shall see it and we glad, Their 💓 shall rejoice in the LORD thanks JESUS for your Love

  14. 8 I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.

9 And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again.

  15. 8 I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.

Hallelujah!!! Thank you Jesus!!! He is our Redeemer!!! POFW shall increase as they have increased!!!!! That’s why we haven’t stopped increasing so let us not get discourage and let us be about our Father’s business!!! There are so many people without a shepherd that are waiting for you or me to go bring them back to our Redeemer!!! GO SHOUT THE GOOD NEWS, JESUS IS OUR REDEEMER AMD OUR REDEEMER LIVES!!!!

  16. 6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.

  17. And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.

And I will strengthen them in the Lord ; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the Lord .
    Zechariah 10:6‭, ‬12 KJV

Sometimes we just have to stand on His promises and precedents. If He could speak of His backslidden children with such promise, then I believe He can have mercy on our prodigals as well. Regardless of how badly things appear, we can have hope in His faithful love.

  18. THY KINGDOM COME
    KINGDOM ORDER (LEADERSHIP)

3 Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the Lord of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.
4 Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.
5 And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the Lord is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.
6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.

We witness here the value that JESUS places on Leadership in HIS church. The Kingdom of GOD is that HIS order of authority, HIS established priority of values and people established by HIS Leaders.

When HIS Leaders fail to fulfill their call and execute their duties, JESUS the KING will step in and restore order to HIS Kingdom. This is why we must PRAY for our Spiritual Leaders, that all would follow KINGDOM ORDER and destroy idols, strengthen the people by the WORD of GOD,

    The MSG version reads:
    “Store-bought gods babble gibberish.
    Religious experts spout rubbish.
    They pontificate hot air.
Their prescriptions are nothing but smoke.
And so the people wander like lost sheep,
poor lost sheep without a shepherd.
I’m furious with the so-called shepherds.
They’re worse than billy goats, and I’ll treat them like goats.”
    3-5 God-of-the-Angel-Armies will step in
and take care of his flock, the people of Judah.
    He’ll revive their spirits,
make them proud to be on God’s side.
God will use them in his work of rebuilding,
use them as foundations and pillars,
Use them as tools and instruments,
use them to oversee his work.
They’ll be a workforce to be proud of, working as one,
their heads held high, striding through swamps and mud,
Courageous and vigorous because God is with them,
    undeterred by the world’s thugs.

    Religious experts (Leaders) spout rubbish.

What is our message? How BRIGHT does our LIGHT shine? Who is following us? Where are we going? Are we GROWing?

These questions and many others are the kind of questions that Leaders should ask themselves on a routine basis. Lest the LORD JESUS come in and “Take Over” the care and Leading of HIS flock.

  19. 1 Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lordshall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

    “Ask he of the Lord”

We cannot be afraid to ask of God. I believe with all my heart He hears our prayers and he will give answer in some way. Even the silence of God speaks volumes. So many people are frustrated with God because of this very simple concept they are always complaining to man yet they fail to ask of God. They never pursue a deeper relationship with Him I’m a effort to build His Kingdom and as they are building His Kingdom He is building them. I feel like Solomon this morning “Lord give me wisdom”

  20. 1Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lordshall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
2 For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.

The children of Israel would turn to God and then turn to idols, then turn to God, and then turn to idols. Over and over again. In our modern society, how are we any different? When things are going,”our way.,” we tend to forget about the Living God. Yet when a catastrophe or something bad happens, we immediately turn to God and blame Him, or we cry out to Him to help us. As Christians, we fall to this as well. But, we have the truth. Why then do we fall for it? Is it that we just go with the flow? Is it we dont want to seem like we are not like everyone else? Answer: It’s our relationship with God. That is not as strong as it needs to be. For His Kingdom to Come, we must show by example of what a strong relationship with God is. Our works is looking but they just dont know, unless we show them.

  21. And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be AS THOUGH I HAD NOT CAST THEM OFF: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.
God not only forgave His people but He chose to forget about their sins and not hold it against them. Only God, Jesus, can do that! This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
    Hebrews 10:16‭-‬17 KJV
Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
    Micah 7:18‭-‬19 KJV

  22. By my power I will make my people strong, and by my appthority they will go whatever they wish. I, the LORD, has spoken!”
    Zachariah 10:12 NLT

  23. 12 By my power I will make my people strong, and by my authority they will go wherever they wish. I, the Lord, have spoken!” (NLT)

We have power and authority through the Lord Jesus Christ!! Lead us today Lord to walk in confidence and do Your will, show us how we can work through Your power today to bring You glory Jesus, lead us to hungry and weary souls who are ready to know You and be restored just like you have promised in this chapter – In Jesus Name!

  24. 10:12 And I will strengthen them in the Lord; and they shall walk up and down in his name, sai th the Lord.
We can’t have everything I. Life, no needs, everything cool, but with the Lord we are bankrupt.
    ——-
We can lack here and there but if the Lord is with us, then nothing else really matters. The hope of glory is with us.
    God is my strength! …
GOd has been my strength ..
    God will be my strength.

  25. 6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.

God is fighting for us, giving us every opportunity to be successful and victorious. We must heed the warnings of Israel and daily aline ourselves with His Kingdom so that we don’t find ourselves in the same situation as Israel is in these chapters being judgement for disobedience. We have them as examples, let’s don’t do as they did but do as the Lord says and steer clear of deception and disobedience and keep our focus on the Lord and watch Him work on our behalf.

  26. 11 They will pass safely through the sea of distress, for the waves of the sea will be held back, and the waters of the Nile will dry up. The pride of Assyria will be crushed, and the rule of Egypt will end.

    This passage reminded me of a verse in a song;
“If His Grace is an ocean, we are all sinking”

With God we can be wrapped in His overwhelming reckless love, that allows us to pass through the sea of distress. Or without Him we can feel the empty sinking feeling of the sea of distress.

  27. Zechariah 10:3-5
    God-of-the-Angel-Armies will step in
and take care of his flock, the people of Judah.
    He’ll revive their spirits,
make them proud to be on God’s side.
God will us them in his work of rebuilding,
use them as foundations and pillars,
Use them as tools and instruments,
use them to oversee his work.
They’ll be a workforce to be proud of, working as one,
their heads held high, striding through swamps and mud,
Courageous and vigorous because God is with them,
    undeterred by the world’s thugs.

Our lesson Sunday was about how the body is one, but it has many members working together to make it work, and how this is like the church. The church is made up of many different people with many different talents and abilities, but we are still one body. Everyone working together to build God’s Kingdom.
(1 Cor. 12:18 says, “But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him,”)
We have Pastor and Sis. Watts, ministers, leaders, musicians, singers, greeters, teachers, van & bus drivers, cleaners, outreach team, etc… We are many members, but are still one body working together for God’s Kingdom.

POFW, I would say that we are a workforce to be proud of, working as one!

  28. 1 Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lordshall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
2 For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.

The people are troubled because they did not have a man of God leading them; they are tired of following the fortune tellers. This is where we are in this day of the latter rain. People are searching for the genuine. As we pray for the harvest in our region and in the N TX District we must tell whoever we can about what our God has done and be the witness, the light, for others to follow to the 1 true living God. I ask for rain, for souls and backsliders to become hungry for the truth and be as the prodigal son and come home…bringing their families with them.

  29. 2 For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.

3 Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the Lord of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.

When there is no Shepherd the sheep scatter. ..and judgment comes to the goats… we should be careful to keep our Shephard (Pastor) close because if not we could find ourselves scattered and lost.

  30. Josiah: 2 For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.
The idols and things of this world do not comfort us. If you want comfort then seek and pray to God.
So many people just gotten deeper and deeper in sin because they are trying to find something to comfort them, yet they ignore God who is able to comfort them and give them peace. So, let us GO SHARE THE WORD OF GOD TO THIS LOST WORLD!!

  31. 9 And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again.

Act 1:8 – But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

They will remember him in far countries and imagine what would happen when those witnesses go into them with power.

  32. “Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the Lord of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.”
    ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭10:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Lord, I pray that you would change us to be better shepherds. That we would follow in your example. You haven’t made us to be hirelings.

“I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭10:11-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  33. When I whistle to them, they will come running, for I have redeemed them. From the few who are left, they will grow as numerous as they were before.
    Zechariah 10:8 NLT

Just like a dog running to it’s owner when it is called, we should run to God when he calls and be sensitive to his voice.

  34. 10 I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them.

If God is bringing us out of Egypt(This World) we have no reason to wonder back to Egypt when we are brought to the land of Gilead. The land of Gilead is a hill of testimony so God brings us out of Egypt to share our testimony, and we need to obey the word of God to stand in Gods word and what he sets us in. So God in this scripture is Bringing them out of this world and setting them on a hill of testimony and bringing them into Lebanon which is represented as white. White is a significant color to be Holy and Pure, so God brought these people out of the World to be (Holy and to share their Testimony) and this is how souls are won we call them and bring them out of this world and pray that God would draw them out of this world by his spirit into a (Holy) and (Hill of Testimony) place the (Church). In Jesus Name!

  35. 11 And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away.

Jesus is going to rid Egypt and Assyria of their source of pride. They have used these resources to sell and trade by sea and have become wealthy and haughty. Because they have made things traded by human hands more valuable than the God of Creation they will lose what they hold so dear. Sometimes God will take away what we put above him in order for us to recognize our dependance on it so we may repent. Will we put our trust in God or in the things of this world?

  36. Zechariah 10:8-9 (English Amp) I will hiss for them
[as the keeper does for his bees] and gather them in, for I have redeemed them, and they have increased [ before, in Egypt]. And through I sow them amongs the nation’s, yet they shall earnestly remember Me in far countries, and with their children they shall live and shall return to God and the land He gave them.

  37. By my power I will make my people strong, and by my authority they will go wherever they wish. I, the Lord, have spoken!”(Zechariah 10:12 NLT)

When we put our trust in the Lord our strength is renewed. He will cause us to rise up with wings like eagles, free from the bondage of sin. We can run with authority wherever he directs us to go and we will not be weary nor faint for he is our strength.(But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 NLT)

  38. I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.

  39. Even I’m the midst of God’s displeasure against his people, his desire towards them is expressed as he goes about to gather them, ‘for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.’ Once his will was established again, once he’d made the impact he truly desired, he went back to the eternal purpose for his people. ‘And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again. I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon…’ God does not give up on his desire for his people! His purpose has always been to redeem as many as are willing to call upon his name in faith. ‘And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD.’ This verse could readily have been spoken today and we can continue to declare the same in Jesus name!

  40. 4 Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.
5 And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the Lord is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.

God is good and truly His will ways ends up happening. The wicked suffer and God always wins! Praise the Lord for He is shown to be mighty in battle and gracious to forgive. Praise the Lord for He is great!

  41. 6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.
7 And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the Lord.

So thankful that we serve a God that will not give up on us. We must ensure that we never give up on him.

  42. 10:1,2
The people re exhorted to ask the Lord for rían and not to pray to worthless idols. Idolatry causes people to wander like sheep without a shepherd,

    A.L.M.A.S.

  43. “12 And I will strengthen them in the Lord; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the Lord.” The Lord will always be there for me in every situation. He is my continual strength and shepard. I will always continue to place my trust in him through all times.

  44. God is our strength and our present help in the time of trouble. The enemy would love for you to believe that you are all alone. God gives us strength in the presence of adversity.

  45. They will pass safely through the sea of distress, for the waves of the sea will be held back, and the waters of the Nile will dry up. The pride of Assyria will be crushed, and the rule of Egypt will end.
    Zechariah 10:11 NLT

When we are under the protection of God there is nothing and nobody that can stop us or hurt us. There is no problem to big for what God can do. Our God is awesome!

  46. v1 Ask the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

If we believe, we will respond and obey. Our actions are evidence of our faith.

  47. Goats and Sheep

3 Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the Lord of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.

What separates the goats and the sheep? Sometimes the Bible talked about the goats and sheep seemingly interchangeably. Every time though the sheep are referenced as favorable and the goats unfavorable. I think back to growing up on a farm in Alvarado Texas where we had goats. The goats would eat anything if they were not completely stuffed full of food. They would run around and get their dumb heads stuck in the fence trying to get at a can or piece of paper or trash. They wanted to eat it all. My uncle had sheep. Those sheep were pick eaters. They would only eat certain types of grass and they would wait for my uncle to bring them feed every morning. They knew when it was time to eat and they were lined up ready. The goats were all out doing their own thing and the sheep were all together waiting on the food. What separates the goats and the sheep is what they eat. Goats eat anything and sheep wait upon the Sheppard. This is the reason the Bible references both of them the way they do. Are you a goat or a sheep? Do we eat anything that the world has to offer or are we waiting on the good food that the Sheppard is bringing? We cannot just accept or take in what we see or hear in this world. I will choose to believe and accept the report of the Lord.

    What am I leading?
As I look out over the ministry that God has entrusted me to oversee I have to think, am I leading gots or horses? If when I evaluate myself and how I lead I see chaos then I need to repent! I need to ask God to help me lead horses instead of goats. Usually the comparison is with sheep and goats, but in this instance it is horses. Goats don’t take leadership. They are head strong and stubborn. Horses may be stubborn, but they work hard and can be bridled to take direction. Are the people I am leading taking direction? More than that I need to examine myself. I need to ask, am I behaving like a goat with my example or can I take direction like a horse? I think I could always say that I can read more, study more, and pray more. I want to be a good leader who takes direction and leads others. God help me be a better leader.

  49. “I will strengthen Judah and save Israel ; I will restore them because of my compassion. It will be as though I had never rejected them, for I am the Lord their God, who will hear their cries.
    Zechariah 10:6 NLT

HE is my redeemer. Only the Lord is the one who can take away what’s broken and damaged and make something new out of it. He makes all new and the old things are passed away. He is the one who forgives and let’s you start a new life.

  50. 5 And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the Lord is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.

Because of only one thing happening, the Lord is with them!

What a statement! The book of revelations say, part of our victory against satan will be the word of our testimony.

So let the world say what they want, God is by your side, who can be against you!

  51. For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.

Amen! Amen! I am blessed to be at the best church with the best Pastor and First Lady!!! No one is like them and I am privledged and honored that God sent me to them so I could learn what the Hispanic culture is missing. God knew that I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing if I didn’t have Pastor & Sis Watts by our side. Being part of POFW has been the highlight of my marriage, my children, my life, my soul, and overall my eternal life. Before I used to be scared to die but now I know where I’m going. Now I know my calling, now I know my destiny, Now I know my responsibility, Now I know Jesus!!!! Thank you Pastor & Sis Watts for being great shepherds in my family lives!!!

  52. 5 And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the Lord is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.
6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.

When we apply the name of Jesus to our lives , we become mighty men and women of God.

  53. 2 For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.

It’s all a lie!!! the devil is the father of lies!!! he will never tell you true things it’s always to try to entangle you with deceitfulness…..and while the fortune teller conjures up demons and spirits to say “truths” the person is literally giving the enemy permission and is now susceptible to those same spirits or demons but not limited to/ for inhabitation!!! Watch yourself!!!

  54. 8 I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.
Seek he first the kingdom of God. And everything else will come. Everything else will add to you. If you just stay in the church with the Pastor. We’ll be alright.

  55. 2 Household gods give worthless advice, fortune-tellers predict only lies, and interpreters of dreams pronounce falsehoods that give no comfort. So my people are wandering like lost sheep; they are attacked because they have no shepherd.

Because you have no shepherd! You’ll rely on false prophets, fortune tellers and palm readers. Why look for the future from others, only to be disappointed with false outcomes. Rely on the one true shepherd, Jesus. With Jesus, your life is guided, protected, and blessed. Your future will turn out to be very good.
