Zechariah 14

Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:

But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses.

11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the Lord shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.

14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.

15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.

16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the Lord will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, Holiness Unto The Lord; and the pots in the Lord‘s house shall be like the bowls before the altar.

21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the Lord of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the Lord of hosts.

  1. …And the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
    Zechariah 14:5 KJV

Zechariah is prophesying about the return of the Lord and states that “all the saints” are going to come back “with” Him. Jude confirms this when he says, “Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,” (1:14). This is wonderful news! We have to first be with Him in Heaven to come back with Him to Earth.

Revelations describes those who are with the Lord: “…For he is Lord of Lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful,” (17:14).

    CALLED…
Matthew 22:14 tells us that many are called, but few are chosen. We know that the call goes out to every man, for it is not the will of God that any should perish.

    CHOSEN…
However, only those who receive, obey, and spread the Gospel call are counted among the chosen. Jesus said, “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit…,” (John 15:16), and Jesus spoke specifically of Paul saying, “…he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel,” (Acts 9:15).

    FAITHFUL…
Still, according to Revelations, we must go beyond being called and chosen; we must also be found faithful. Being faithful is a long-term commitment. It’s an “all-in-until-the-end” lifestyle of obeying and sharing the call no matter the cost. Being faithful means that through highs and lows, blessings and trials, praises and persecutions, answered prayers and disappointments we stay the course–unmovable, unshakable, undeterred, unsilenced.

Ezekiel gives this warning about not staying faithful: “But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die,” (18:24).

God is looking for those who will finish strong. Let’s be among the faithful!

  2. On that day the sources of light will no longer shine, yet there will be continuous day! Only the Lord knows how this could happen. There will be no normal day and night, for at evening time it will still be light. On that day life-giving waters will flow out from Jerusalem, half toward the Dead Sea and half toward the Mediterranean, flowing continuously in both summer and winter. And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one Lord —his name alone will be worshiped.
    Zechariah 14:6‭-‬9 NLT

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
    John 7:38 KJV

Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is One Lord. Deuteronomy 6:4

  3. 3 Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

  4. Zechariah 14:9, “And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.”

  5. iLove the Kingdom

“On that day the sources of light will no longer shine, yet there will be continuous day! Only the Lord knows how this could happen. There will be no normal day and night, for at evening time it will still be light.”
    ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭14:6-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The Word tells us how this will happen, several hundred years after this was written, God the “revelation” of how it would happen.

“And the city has no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its light.”
    ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:23‬ ‭NLT

There it is, the answer to the mystery 😀

  6. 9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
King of glory oh what a wonderful day it will be Kings and kingdom will pass away silver and gold pass away but JESUS will is forever
Every knee will bow and confess the name of JESUS

  7. 1 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Don’t matter the what happens to us, God will avenge his people and take care of them. No matter what we think is going on, no matter our trouble, or who is against us, God is for us and for His cause.

  8. THY KINGDOM COME
    WORSHIP THE KING

17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

For centuries there has been promise in the Kings House. We learn here that FAITHFULNESS to CHURCH is not limited to New Testament Believers that went DAILY in the book of Acts.

Here the prophet connected provision and blessing to our FAITHFULNESS to WORSHIP the KING. Worship is a choice and privilege.

It is a choice we make by FAITH even when we don’t understand our circumstances.
It is a privilege when we UNDERSTAND how great JESUS is.

Regardless of reason or season, I desire the LORD to “RAIN” and “REIGN” in my life so I choose to WORSHIP THE KING at every opportunity.

I LOVE JESUS and I LOVE to WORSHIP THE KING.

Lets open the floodgates of heaven with our WORSHIP.

  9. We all await for that day when God shall dwell amongst us. ‘And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.’ Notice there is not a committee of equals but one Lord that reigns as king and even his name declares him as one. That is because there is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all!

He did not come just to establish his authority however. The prophet goes on to say that ‘it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.’ Imagine that! The God that tells us to pray for our enemies gives those who not only declared themselves his enemies, but came to destroy his chosen people an opportunity to repent and serve him. His purpose even in conquest was for souls! Our dedication to God calling needs to be the same! Set aside the differences, set aside the excuses, set aside whatever gets in the way of doing his will and on some have compassion, making a difference!

  10. Zechariah 14

The enemy will be defeated and Hesys Christ will wear the Victors Crown!

  11. Zechariah 14:1-2 (English Amp) Behold , A day of the Lord is coming when the spoil [ taken from you] shall be divided [ among the victors] in the midst of you. [2] For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the houses rifledand the women ravished; and half of the city off from the city. We must get our lives ready , Nobody knows when the Lord is coming back. He going to gather up his children and take them home no matter where they are . Give God all praises.

  12. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

3 Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Thankful for a mighty God that will fight the battle and come to our defense in our time of trouble!!! We serve a Mighty and merciful God!!!

  13. 9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

One Lord and his name is Jesus. There will be a day when the Lord reigns over the earth and what a glorious day that will be! Every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. But before that day there be sorrow and tribulations, but there will be great joy when that day comes.

  14. 3 Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

Exodua 14:14 – The Lord shall fight for you and ye shall hold your peace.

God’s got His plan, no need to worry! We just need to keep our eyes on the prize, follow Him, and lead others to Him so they can join the Lord’s side too!

  15. “Any nation in the world that refuses to come to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, will have no rain.”
    ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭14:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Worship – bow (self) down, crouch, fall down (flat), humbly beseech, do (make) obeisance, do reverence, make to stoop, worship.

Worship is when we choose to humble ourselves before God and recognize His greatness. When we choose to worship, we go to a sacred place with God, where He rains/reigns on us.
If we refuse to recognize His greatness, we strip ourselves of being taken to that sacred place.
If you truly want God to rain/reign and have His favor in your life, you must simply worship.

  16. 7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
No more idols in that day and all will know that Jesus Christ is Lord and God. We must be faithful to be in that number.

  17. 9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

This scripture again affirms the oneness of God and his power and glory amoung His people. “The Lord our God is one Lord and His name is one!”

  18. Zechariah 14:7-9

  19. Josiah: 19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
This chapter reminded me of how there is a result of our actions whether good or bad. Do you have to pray that extra 20 minutes? Well, do you want the blessing or not? Small decisions over time make big results. Daily reading of the word and pray can truly effect our lives. A smile to a stranger could change their day. So, let us GO BE A LIGHT TO THIS WORLD and go in Jesus Name!

  20. I love to worship the Lord
    vs 16
In the end those who survive the plague will go up to Jerusalem each year to worship the king the Lord of hosts to celebrate a time of thanksgiving

  21. 6 On that day the sources of light will no longer shine, 7 yet there will be continuous day! Only the LORD knows how this could happen. There will be no normal day and night, for at evening time it will still be light.

Spiritually many will lose faith, and will no longer shine. They will not be examples for others to see. Many will return to the dark, and out from God’s guidance. But God has called us to be the light for others to see Jesus within us. God wants other to see us shine with Jesus, and be an example for all.

John 9:5 But while I am here in the world, I am the light of the world.”

  22. 1 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

  23. 9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
That day, the day when the Lord rules and reigns during the Millenial reign, everyone will know, hear o Israel the Lord our God Is One Lord! They will all know that he that has seen Jesus has seen the father because Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the one true God! They will all know that the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him bodily.

  24. 8And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

I am reminded of an old song we used to sing at the church we went to in Illinois. “What a Day that will be!”

There’s coming a day when no heartaches shall come
No more clouds in the sky
No more tears to dim the eye
    All is peace forever more
    On that happy golden shore
What a day, glorious day that will be

What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see
When I look upon His face the one who saved my by His grace
When He takes me by the hand and leads me to the promised land
What a day, glorious day that will be

There will be no sorrows there
And no more burdens to bear
No more sickness and, no more pain
    No more parting over there
And forever I will be with the one who died for me
What a day, glorious day that will be

What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see
When I look upon His face the one who saved my by His grace
When He takes me by the hand and leads me to the promised land
What a day, glorious day that will be

That will be the Day that His Kingdom will be finally Established when we are all there. But for now, He must reign in us, in order Him to shared across this world NOW!!!!

  25. 9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

Deuteronomy 6:4 King James Version (KJV)
4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:

  26. 9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

There is only one name for one God. Jesus!

  27. Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

The Lord Jesus often stood upon the Mount of Olives when on earth. He ascended from thence to heaven, and then desolations and distresses came upon the Jewish nation. Such is the view taken of this figuratively; but many consider it as a notice of events yet unfulfilled, and that it relates to troubles of which we cannot now form a full idea. Every believer, being related to God as his God, may triumph in the expectation of Christ’s coming in power, and speak of it with pleasure. During a long season, the state of the church would be deformed by sin; there would be a mixture of truth and error, of happiness and misery. Such is the experience of God’s people, a mingled state of grace and corruption. But, when the season is at the worst, and most unpromising, the Lord will turn darkness into light; deliverance comes when God’s people have done looking for it.

  28. 9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

Well glory! One Lord one faith one baptism. His name is Jesus. The oneness of God is undeniable when you read the whole bible. We must eat the whole roll and then allow it to flow through us to otheres

  29. 9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

    BOOM!
No other name but Jesus! Jesus is high above all and has all power and authority. Jesus has no end and will foreve reign!

  30. 5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

The first verse stated that the nations shall be divided. The good from the evil.
These things are separate. To be holy is to be separate so stay holy.
The Lords coming for his people and that’s including us.
There’s Lost people looking and seeking for Jesus looking to be apart of this divided nation/kingdom.
    It’s flesh vs spirit
    Death vs life
    Pride vs humiliation
Humility, life, and Spirit conquer all.
So I choose life. I choose to help those receive life and those who truly want to be apart of the Kingdom of God.
Let’s find those people in the dark!

  31. “The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord. His name will be the only name.”
    ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭14:9‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

Hear O Israel the Lord our God is one Lord! The world may not see it now but there is coming a day when it will be clear. Soon and very soon we are going to see the King!!

“The seventh angel blew his trumpet. There were loud voices in heaven. They said, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ. He will rule for ever and ever.””
    ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭11:15‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

  32. 9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

Scripture after scripture we see that there is only One Lord and his name One name. Not a title but name. The name is Jesus!

  33. And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one Lord —his name alone will be worshiped.(Zechariah 14:9 NLT)

When this day comes people from all around the world will know that Jesus will be the king of all the earth and only his name alone will be worshiped.

  34. 9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

I am pretty sure that it is this JESUS whom they are speaking about….. HALELUJAH!!!

  35. Verse 9 MSG “God will be king over all the earth, one God and only one. What a Day that will be!” We must remain faithful and committed as Proverbs 16:3 AMP says “Proverbs 16:3 [a]Commit your works to the Lord [submit and trust them to Him], And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance].”

  36. 18 If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain. The Lord  will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. 19 This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.

God is expecting that everyone from every nation gathers together to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. Even the Egyptians he commands must be there or they will get no rain. They value water so much because of their crops and Nile River. God is calling each of us to come and celebrate a feast with him and if we refuse then their will be no other living waters to satisfy our thirst.

  37. “But this is what will happen to all who fought against Jerusalem: GOD will visit them with a terrible plague. People’s flesh will rot off their bones while they are walking around; their eyes will rot in their sockets and their tongues in their mouths; people will be dying on their feet! Mass hysteria when that happens—total panic! Fellow soldiers fighting and killing each other—holy terror! And then Judah will jump into the fray!

But this is what will happen to all who fought against Jerusalem: GOD will visit them with a terrible plague. Treasures from all the nations will be piled high—gold, silver, the latest fashions. The plague will also hit the animals—horses, mules, camels, donkeys. Everything alive in the military camps will be hit by the plague.”
    ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭14:12-14‬ ‭MSG‬‬

The people of the nation are what make the nation. We Need to pray for Jerusalem now more than ever. People who find themselves against Jerusalem will suffer terrible ends.
