Matthew 10

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;

Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,

10 Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

11 And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.

12 And when ye come into an house, salute it.

13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.

22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.

37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.

42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

  1. And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, …and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
    Matthew 10:1‭-‬2‭, ‬4 KJV

Jesus gave His disciples power. They healed the sick, cleansed lepers, raised the dead, and cast out devils. In the name of Jesus, these things were easily dealt with. However, the only thing they didn’t seem to have power over was the carnal nature, thoughts, and will of man. For all their mighty works, all their miracles, all the sermons and the fellowship, after three years, they couldn’t spot or stop the pretender among them.

In truth, it wasn’t a demon-possessed man who plotted the betrayal, it was a carnal one. Though the devil did enter into Judas, it wasn’t until after he had already decided to sell the Lord out. As such, he will not be able to defend himself in the judgment saying, “The devil made me do it.” No, it was his own carnal thinking–thinking that could not be rebuked or cast out–thinking that should have been mastered and replaced by godly thoughts and truth but never was.

Likewise, we can pray about our own carnal thoughts and plans all we want, but if we don’t actively work to replace those thoughts with truth, they will have the mastery over us. (As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.) We must deliberately put on the mind of Christ, if we are to have victory over the flesh… bring every thought captive unto the obedience of Christ. He will not force us to do right, we must first decide to, then we must unseat the stinking thinking that stands in the way of us yielding our will to His. Simply put, If we want to act differently, we must learn to think differently.

  2. And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

    2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

The word “apostle” signifies messenger; they were Christ’s messengers, sent forth to proclaim his kingdom. Christ gave them power to heal all manner of sickness. In the grace of the gospel there is a slave for every sore, a remedy for every malady. There is no spiritual disease, but there is power in Christ for the cure of it. There names are recorded, and it is their honour; yet they had more reason to rejoice that their names were written in heaven, while the high and mighty names of the great ones of the earth are buried in the dust.

  3. Verses 5-8 MSG “Jesus sent his twelve harvest hands out with this charge: “Don’t begin by traveling to some far-off place to convert unbelievers. And don’t try to be dramatic by tackling some public enemy. Go to the lost, confused people right here in the neighborhood. Tell them that the kingdom is here. Bring health to the sick. Raise the dead. Touch the untouchables. Kick out the demons. You have been treated generously, so live generously.” Sounds like outreach right here in the neighborhood today…..Just Do It!

  4. For I have come to turn “ ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law— a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’
    Matthew 10:35‭-‬36 NIV

When God reveals His truth not everyone is willing to hear. When God calls us to Him and starts to transform us into new creations, when we make that change and turn away from the life we knew not everyone understands. Family members snub, ridicule, criticize. They don’t understand. Jesus was rejected in his own country where everyone knew him. They could not see through spiritual eyes. Don’t lose heart if family pulls away from you. Count it a joy, even if it breaks your heart. Allow God to lift you up, love you, restore you. In Jesus name

  5. 39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Jesus called and gathered all His disciples and now here in this chapter He’s equipping them on how to reach the lost even if opposition comes. This is just proof that Jesus equips His chosen people so guess what: you’re here for a reason! We wouldn’t be here if God hadn’t called us, if He didn’t already know that we could do this, if He didn’t already have His plan in place – He called us just like the disciples and asked us to follow Him through submission and obedience. With Jesus we got this, we can reach our city! Let’s GO!

  6. 38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me

This is Kingdom mindness! The living cell can survive on its own but in order for to become more productive it must give up its own will and be joined with every other cell in the living body so I can work for one cause. You must give up some of our own personal desires at times in order to become apart of the body of Christ

  9. Matthew 10
    Message version

21-23 “When people realize it is the living God you are presenting and not some idol that makes them feel good, they are going to turn on you, even people in your own family. There is a great irony here: proclaiming so much love, experiencing so much hate! But don’t quit. Don’t cave in. It is all well worth it in the end. It is not success you are after in such times but survival. Be survivors! Before you’ve run out of options, the Son of Man will have arrived.

    Matthew 10 The Message (MSG)

    The Twelve Harvest Hands
10 1-4 The prayer was no sooner prayed than it was answered. Jesus called twelve of his followers and sent them into the ripe fields. He gave them power to kick out the evil spirits and to tenderly care for the bruised and hurt lives. This is the list of the twelve he sent:

Simon (they called him Peter, or “Rock”),
    Andrew, his brother,
    James, Zebedee’s son,
    John, his brother,
    Philip,
    Bartholomew,
    Thomas,
    Matthew, the tax man,
    James, son of Alphaeus,
    Thaddaeus,
    Simon, the Canaanite,
Judas Iscariot (who later turned on him).
5-8 Jesus sent his twelve harvest hands out with this charge:

“Don’t begin by traveling to some far-off place to convert unbelievers. And don’t try to be dramatic by tackling some public enemy. Go to the lost, confused people right here in the neighborhood. Tell them that the kingdom is here. Bring health to the sick. Raise the dead. Touch the untouchables. Kick out the demons. You have been treated generously, so live generously.

9-10 “Don’t think you have to put on a fund-raising campaign before you start. You don’t need a lot of equipment. You are the equipment, and all you need to keep that going is three meals a day. Travel light.

11 “When you enter a town or village, don’t insist on staying in a luxury inn. Get a modest place with some modest people, and be content there until you leave.

12-15 “When you knock on a door, be courteous in your greeting. If they welcome you, be gentle in your conversation. If they don’t welcome you, quietly withdraw. Don’t make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way. You can be sure that on Judgment Day they’ll be mighty sorry—but it’s no concern of yours now.

16 “Stay alert. This is hazardous work I’m assigning you. You’re going to be like sheep running through a wolf pack, so don’t call attention to yourselves. Be as cunning as a snake, inoffensive as a dove.

17-20 “Don’t be naive. Some people will impugn your motives, others will smear your reputation—just because you believe in me. Don’t be upset when they haul you before the civil authorities. Without knowing it, they’ve done you—and me—a favor, given you a platform for preaching the kingdom news! And don’t worry about what you’ll say or how you’ll say it. The right words will be there; the Spirit of your Father will supply the words.

24-25 “A student doesn’t get a better desk than her teacher. A laborer doesn’t make more money than his boss. Be content—pleased, even—when you, my students, my harvest hands, get the same treatment I get. If they call me, the Master, ‘Dungface,’ what can the workers expect?

26-27 “Don’t be intimidated. Eventually everything is going to be out in the open, and everyone will know how things really are. So don’t hesitate to go public now.

28 “Don’t be bluffed into silence by the threats of bullies. There’s nothing they can do to your soul, your core being. Save your fear for God, who holds your entire life—body and soul—in his hands.

    Forget About Yourself
29-31 “What’s the price of a pet canary? Some loose change, right? And God cares what happens to it even more than you do. He pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail—even numbering the hairs on your head! So don’t be intimidated by all this bully talk. You’re worth more than a million canaries.

32-33 “Stand up for me against world opinion and I’ll stand up for you before my Father in heaven. If you turn tail and run, do you think I’ll cover for you?

  10. 16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

As Christians we are seen as “helpless” “vulnerable” “bound” or even “trapped” because of our beliefs but in contrary we are free and have all liberty. Sin does not bind us and we have all power and authority through Jesus Christ. This world knows we are the sheep of Christ his children and he is our Shepard but what they don’t know is we are wise but harmless. All our job is to do is to love and reach others we were built for a Purpose! God knows what he has planned for us!

  11. 29-30 Look, if you sold a few sparrows, how much money would you get? A copper coin apiece, perhaps? And yet your Father in heaven knows when those small sparrows fall to the ground.

31 You, beloved, are worth so much more than a whole flock of sparrows. God knows everything about you, even the number of hairs on your head. So DO NOT FEAR. Voice

If we could just realize how much value He places on us and how much He wants us to succeed, we would have less fear and more faith and confidence to go do what He has called us to do.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. KJV

  13. iLove the Kingdom
Matthew 10:1 KJV And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Notice here a few words here; “He gave them power”. Now let’s meditate on this scripture for a moment. Jesus gave his disciples power to do what? The Word says he gave his 12 disciples (remind you Judas Iscariot was in this group) power against unclean spirits to cast them out and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Did Jesus give us power? Power to do what? Are we his disciples? Is there possibly a Judas Iscariot among us? If we do in fact have power what is it for? Once the church (as the body of believers) wakes up and understands that the will of God is for all to healed from all manner of sickness and all manner of disease and all manner of demonic oppression then we will all walk in the authority that was given unto the 12 disciples, regardless if some have the spirit of Judas or not.

  14. Jesus said to ‘fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.’ Yet how often is a testimony withheld because of fear and uncertainty over how it will be received? In those moments, it is perhaps useful to remind ourselves that silence is its own testimony. When we fail to speak, the outcome is already determined.. and we have made the decision for them.

Let our faith be the faith of those who truly know their God! Don’t let silence replace our cries, don’t let fear steal our boldness, demonstrate that reverence and respect to God that is willing to speak even when we ourselves perceive that it will not be received… for in the end, we do not know how much of a difference it may make, even if it is received by someone else standing by that happens to view the testimony of a made up mind!

We need to remember that it is not about us, it’s always been about him. ‘He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.’ This is true even in times of great persecution, because ‘he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.’ We need to take advantage of the great liberties we’ve been given in this nation to proclaim his name! We need to be the light he desires us to be! Let the Word of God be true even if every man must be declared a liar… because in the end, it is only his Word that is going to matter. The foolish mocking words of man will all pass away, but God’s Word shall remain forever!

  15. 19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

Jesus also tells them that what they hear in their ear, preach it upon the housetops. He will give us the words to say to others to witness as we go to reach this region and our friends and neighbors. Just start teaching somewhere and follow what he gives you to say. His word is powerful and will accomplish what he sent it to do.

  16. 19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

When I first went to outreach I was so scared to speak to strangers. Believe it or not I am extremely shy when it comes to strangers. It took everything within me to approach a person so half the time I would hand them the invitation and say thank you and run like crazy. I was also scared because I thought what if I say something wrong, I debated about learning something and say it to everyone, God Blessed that but also there is no such thing as one size fits all, there is always someone that it’s way bigger or way smaller and it won’t fit. Then one day I read this verse 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. 2Tim 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Once we understand that there is nothing to be scare about and that God himself dwells in us by the Holy Ghost and He will give us the word to speak Outreach becomes a joyful event. 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Thank you Jesus for always having our back!!! Now GO tell everyone that the Kingdom of Heaven it’s at hand!!!! Go compel them to come and take part of worshiping the King of kings and Lord of Lord. Hallelujah!!!!!

  17. THY KINGDOM COME
    CULTURE

42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

The Kingdom of GOD is founded on the culture of The KING. JESUS is a servant LORD, a serving KING. Therefore this is the culture of and in HIS Kingdom.

JESUS leaves this simple illustration of serving for us to follow. “GIVE a cup of COLD water”. As simple as this task seems, consider how we actually “Just Do IT”. If the KING says a reward is connected to serving a cup of water, then how often should we be willing and looking for that opportunty to give someone a cup of water?

Lets purpose this weekend to purposefully serve a cup of water to someone in JESUS name and receive the blessings of the LORD.

  18. 38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
This verse shows it is possible to try to follow Jesus and not take up your cross. However, the Word plainly says that person is not worthy of Him. The chapter also speaks of a level of commitment to God that goes beyond a surface relationship, that goes beyond a love for family, friends and even one’s own life. Yet, what Jesus offers is far greater than anything here on Earth!!!

  19. 5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

With these verses I am reminded of how Jesus treated the Gentile woman when she came to him for her daughter’s sake. I am also reminded to be a crumb snatcher. May we all be crumb snatchers in Jesus name.

  20. Josiah: 28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
We should not fear men over the Creator of man. If we please one person in this world another will be angry. However, as long as we please God it does not matter who we displease. So, let us GO DO GOD’S WILL in Jesus Name!

  21. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

God knows were we are and what we’re going through. He knows the hairs on our head, our fears and our doubts. Nevertheless He is with us and will help us, make it through all our struggles.

  22. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
    Matthew 10:6‭-‬8 KJV
    Preach the kingdom
It’s important to go and teach and preach the gospel of JESUS Christ telling them about the goodness of GOD

  23. 38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Cross – a stake or post (as set upright), i.e. (specially), a pole or cross (as an instrument of capital punishment); figuratively, exposure to death, i.e. self-denial; by implication, the atonement of Christ:–cross.
to cause or make to stand, to place, put, set
to bid to stand by, [set up]
    in the presence of others, in the midst, before judges, before members of the Sanhedrin;

Clinging to this life will cause us to forfeit the blessings of God. The more we love the temporary things of this world, they more we will realize how empty they really are.
It is only when we deny ourselves and proclaim Him, not just in secret but to all the world, it is then that we are walking in the favor and light of God!
Pick up your cross and follow Him!

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  24. 27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

How were the disciples to hear in the dark? That was their prayer time. What they heard in prayer/devotion to the Lord is what they were to speak to the people. They were empowered and then given instructions.

We have the same power. It can be just as active in our lives if we will spend the time in prayer listen for the instructions and then speak in the light what we have heard in the spirit in the dark. The challenge in our day is that we want everything “microwaved.” Not too many people want to take the time to listen in the dark (prayer time) to what the Lord is saying and then go speak what they heard. We must slow down, take the time, herein lies the miracles, signs and wonders that we desire.

  25. 19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

    I charge you

The charge was, be in the Spirit!

Many time we have the temptation to pull into our arsenal of snappy come backs when we are challenged. Most of the time we come out of it worse then when we went it.
The problem isn’t to not be prepared to give an answer for our faith, but we tend to suppress the HG trying to speak and let our emotions get the best of us.

Jesus said “walk in the Spirit!” Don’t get emotional and let Jesus talk!

  26. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, and as you go, preach, saying, the kingdom of Heaven is at hand, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead , cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

  27. Matthew 10:12-15

  28. 1And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

  29. “He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:37-39‬ ‭KJV
This is a very tough scripture. A very tough one to try to understand when your a new believer. And easier to do when nothing is holding you back, no family, no kids, no relationship. It’s easier to let everything down and follow him. But when you have something holding you down that you fealty love. Then it’s hard to consider losing your life.

BUT THERE IS promise. A PROMISE if you give your life.
You will find real life! His kingdom come in our life!
    You find purpose.
    Purpose.

  30. Where we at?!
I know where we should be

16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

We need be out there in the hot streets today looking for those that need a miracle. Those that need deliverance, those that need a healing, they all need something.
We need to be out there ministering to those people.
God called us to reach the Lost people in this city.
    Just Do It

  31. “Jesus sent his twelve harvest hands out with this charge: “Don’t begin by traveling to some far-off place to convert unbelievers. And don’t try to be dramatic by tackling some public enemy. Go to the lost, confused people right here in the neighborhood. Tell them that the kingdom is here. Bring health to the sick. Raise the dead. Touch the untouchables. Kick out the demons. You have been treated generously, so live generously.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:5-8‬ ‭MSG‬‬

  32. 16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

God sends us out to this evil world ti be loving and kind,

  33. “Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.
    Matthew 10:32‭-‬33 NLT

This is why when we go anywhere it is always good to let people know that you are a follower of Jesus and that you serve Him. We should never be embarrassed of Him because then He will deny us. Reading this we should be screaming to the mountain top JESUS!!

  34. 28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

The Lord knows exactly where we are. And confirms to us that we are valuable to him. He wants us to go trusting in Him and not fearing men and fulfill the calling. Whatever it may be, just do it and serve the master without fear. Talk to that person about Jesus, pray for your co-worker, lift Him up in praise in front of others. Don’t fear men for they have no power over your soul. Rather fear, honor And respect, God and you go and do it.

  35. Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and Body in hell.

    1 Peter 3;14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are you and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;

Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom you shall fear: Fear Him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell ; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

  36. 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
    ————
A simple thing to do: not to worry about it, don’t start making up things, there is no need, don’t plan it, don’t choose certain word… JUST TRUST GOD, and let the Holy Spirit take over and do whatever the Lord wants if you(we) want and desire His will, if we want and desire to do HIS work.
    I repent
    I pray
    I trust
    I rejoice.
TRUST AND OBEY! ( trust and obey Alejandra. )

  37. 38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

There are things that we go through that would crush us if we were not following Jesus. When we take up our own cross we are saying that no matter what happens good or bad I am in this forever. Some folks are in it for the blessings, some so they don’t go to hell but those that will actually make it are in this because they love God and want to please him.

  38. 1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

    I got the power! 😀

In Jesus, I have authority over any evil thing that comes against me. I am victorious and an overcomer. Of course, there will be attacks that will hurt me but I will have the strength to keep moving forward because Jesus dwells in me. Whenever a sickness comes over me, a friend, or a family member. By Jesus’s stripes, we are healed. There is power in His blood to heal all kinds of impossible sickness. Jesus healed the lame, the blind, the leprous and so much more we don’t even know. We have a powerful God in our life that desires to have an eternal relationship with us. Anything that comes against us will be defeated! Thank you, Jesus!

  39. Matthew 10:34
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Jesus warns them that they will be pursecuted and there many not always be peace. The fact is His Word is forever settled in heaven and earth. So, abiding by it is the most important thing to do. Not everyone will agree with His Word which will stir up divisions but He did not come to coexist with evil rather blot out evil for good.

He came with the sword or Word of God to give redemption to the obedient and judgement to the disobedient.

  40. Matthew 10 :36-37 (English Amp) And a man’s foes
will be they of his own household. [37] He Who loves [ and takes more pleasure in] father or mother more than [in] Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves [ and takes more than [ in] Me is not worthy of me.[ Micah 7:6] For the sons dishonors the father, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter- in- law against her mother-in- law a man”s enemies are the men ( members of his own house. We should love more than our own families. Put God first before anything and he will take care of the rest.

  41. 37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

  42. 14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

Not everyone will welcome us to speak to them on behalf of the gospel. He sent us like he did the twelve disciples to go and preach the gospel to the lost sheep. Those who do accept them will be able to receive the healing. Rejection will only cost them. When they shake the dust from their sandals they are shaking off the rejection of the people and place their judgment into the hands of God instead of taking it into their own hands.

  43. 20 And don’t worry about what you’ll say or how you’ll say it. The right words will be there; the Spirit of your Father will supply the words.

This is not a free pass for us not to study the Word. This promise is related to what scriptures best fit a situation we need to speak into. We need to prepare by studying the Word. Then when a situation presents itself, God will help us recall the scriptures He wants us to use. If we have not studied, we might distract from what God is trying to accomplish. Likely, it will not be intentional, rather our lack of knowledge of the Word will limit our ability to relate what God is trying to say in a particular situation.

  44. “And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Enquirer who is worthy.
I wonder what qualities makes someone worthy. Is it willingness to do what has been asked?
