Matthew 11

And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.

Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,

And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?

Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:

The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses.

But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.

10 For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.

15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,

17 And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.

18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.

19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

20 Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:

21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

22 But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.

23 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

24 But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.

25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

  1. Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
    Matthew 11:4‭-‬6 KJV

John is sitting in prison about to be killed, and he sends word to his cousin. Surely…if Jesus is the Messiah, working all kinds of miracles, and if He knows what John is going through…surely He will come and do something to help. However, instead of coming, Jesus asks John not to be offended in Him.

Can we do that? Not be offended when Jesus is working miracles for others but not for us? What kind of attitude do we have when Jesus doesn’t meet our expectations? When He doesn’t come to our rescue? When we know that He knows, but He still leaves us in our situation?

Can we consider ourselves blessed when His answer is “no”? Do we trust God enough to give Him thanks for the no’s in our lives? Do we love Him enough not to get bitter when our prayers seem to go unanswered? Perhaps one of the truest tests of our sincerity as Christians is what we do when God doesn’t do what we want Him to do.

Blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in Me.

  2. 16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,
17 And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.
18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.
19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

Here’s what I’ve learned in life through many hard times, is that we will never be able to please everyone, Jesus didn’t, and didn’t care to. His business was about service, and to those that wouldn’t be offended by it. We should be like wise in manner. There are enough hurting people out there that need Christ love and works, that the opinions on naysayer’s should be cast aside in the background. Especially in today’s society where everyone seems to have a negative Outlook on life, we must learn to hold on to the love of God for others and love them and share the good news

  3. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Come and let me lighten your load. The more we spend time with Him learning of Him and His plan the more we will take off the desires of this life and become Kingdom minded.

When you yoke something together the weaker or shorter of the two bare the majority of the load. Yet, in the Kingdom we can defy all reason. When we yoke ourselves with God and His will He takes the load when it’s unbearable for us. This does not mean that at the first sign of pain He comes in but He knows us better than we know ourselves. He pushes us to the max to strengthen us the He bears the load and and we gain strength He allows us to go futher.

  4. Then Jesus began to denounce the towns where he had done so many of his miracles, because they hadn’t repented of their sins and turned to God.
    Matthew 11:20 NLT
Today chapter tell me it’s talks about John and how Pleasures in him the chapter
Jesus did miracles but he did it to those who want and if you want to have a relationship with GOD you GOT to let it go repent let it go and give it to GOD
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

  5. Verses 4-6 MSG “Jesus told them, “Go back and tell John what’s going on:

    The blind see,
    The lame walk,
    Lepers are cleansed,
    The deaf hear,
    The dead are raised,
The wretched of the earth learn that God is on their side.

“Is this what you were expecting? Then count yourselves most blessed!” Sounds like “Jesus Rescues”……….”High Expectancy”.

Verses 28-30 MSG “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I DO IT. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Just DO IT….like Jesus.

  6. 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

  7. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

  8. 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

I love when the word of God very simply show us how to live. Be meek and lowly in heart like Jesus, and you will find rest. No worries, no anxieties, just rest!!!! Hallelujah!!!! It doesn’t mean we won’t have any troubles in our lives it’s how we react to them. I chose to react with faith knowing that He will take care of everything!!! That’s why the burden it’s light because when the heaviness of this world comes with its problems and anxiety all you have to remember is HE GOT THIS!!! There isn’t a problem too big or a sickness too hard that our God Jesus Christ can’t handle. If you said well but there are people dying from cancer everyday? Yes there is, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t healed they receive the highest healing a new body!!!! Have Faith in Jesus!!!! Walk meekly, and with a lowly heart, be just like Christ and burden will be light!

  9. AMP – 28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.

We become weary and heavy laden when it’s religious rituals that we are following and not enjoying a relationship with the Lord. We have to change our mindset. We are in control of how we feel and how we act/react. A relationship with the Lord is what we were created for – Lord help us today to build that relationship with you daily through prayer, leaving every care and concern for you to handle, and then being okay with how you handle it.

Falling in love with Jesus is the best thing I ever done!!

  10. 20 Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:

“Then Jesus began to denounce the towns where he had done so many of his miracles, because they hadn’t repented of their sins and turned to God.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:20‬ NLT

    I LOVE THE WORD!
In this scripture we understand that God is trying to show us that he could heal everyone in this entire world and still people would turn straight back to sin no matter what God does sometimes people still rebel against him and his word…

Time and time God will heal and restore because he is bound by his everlasting word of truth and righteousness! Someone healed boom they need to repent and turn to God.

  11. THY KINGDOM COME
    PEACE

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Our KING the KING of Kings is identified as the “Prince of PEACE”.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Therefore it is natural for the atmosphere in HIS Kingdom should be one of PEACE. JESUS is the GOD of PEACE and HE makes HIS PEACE available to HIS Kingdom.

Romans 15:33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

Romans 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

As we serve in The Kingdom of GOD, walking in HIS Spirit we can and will walk in HIS PEACE. It is the atmosphere of HIS Kingdom.

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

As we read the invitation of JESUS here in Matthew 11 to come to HIM. We can trust and know that we are coming into HIS PEACE and there is no room for fear.

  12. Matthew 11:28-29 (English Amp) Come to Me, all your labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to test. [ I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls .] 29] Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle meek and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest ( relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. Walk in Faith, Give God your burdens, For our God want put nothing to hard on us that we cannot handle. Praise the Lord with all thy heart.

  13. 3. And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?

    4. Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:

    5. The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

    6. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

    14. And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.

    15. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

He is telling them who John the Baptist is, and therefore who He is, but only the ones who have ‘ears to hear’ will hear what He is telling them.
Lord, grant me ears to hear what You would have me hear!

  14. 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Some people may be concerned with the work involved when you become part of the body of Christ. But I can attest and tell you that the Yoke that Jesus is talking about here is indeed so much lighter for the Yoke of sin and the Yoke of the world and the Yoke of bondage that the enemy puts on us. When we have been torn down and broken by the weight of sin and oppression it can just about kill us. Oh, but when we’re liberated by the power of the Blood! His yoke is beautiful to wear. I love you, Jesus! Thank you for tearing down every stronghold and rescuing me! YOU ARE MY SAVIOR!

  15. St. Matthew 11:4-5
    4) Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
    5) The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

In Acts 4:20, Peter and John said, “For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”

    “Show and Tell”
In school, there was a time in class called “Show and Tell.” This is when a child would bring something to school, stand in front of the class, and Show it and Talk about it.

As a Christian, we are commissioned to “GO” and “Show and Tell” the world about all the great things God is doing.

  16. Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

  17. Matthew 11

28-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

    Burn Out or Burn On

Here is the key …..Unforced Rhythm of Grace.
Unforced is doing something that comes natural.
Rhythm a strong, regular, repeated pattern of movement or sound. When added with Grace which is the unmerited favor of God everything we do for the Kingdom can become as easy as breathing. No it does not mean you will not get weary from time to time but in every orchestrated piece of beautifully written music there a little notation called a rest.
how much company are you keeping with the one who wrote the music of your life. Here is your rest.
So your choice comes once again with the rhythm of the music if played correctly you will be able to finish finding that your burn out just became burn on.

    Isaiah 28:12
To whom he said, This is the rest with which you may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

  18. iLove the Kingdom
Matthew 11:20 (KJV)  Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his emighty works were done, because they repented not:

Ever wonder what makes one city repent and the other city refuse repentance? I believe the city of Fort Worth is ripe for the harvest. When you talk to folks around here you find that most have heard about the Pentecostal experience and lots have actually experienced it and are hungry for more. When you go to other cities, it’s not so much so. Folks here in Fort Worth are hungry.

  19. 11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Jesus lifts up the works of John telling the people how great a man he was being the forerunner to Christ. Being the forerunner he had to prepare the way, he had to prepare the hearts of men and women to be ready to hear and receive Jesus. This was no easy job. Resistance is greatest at the front lines and John didn’t back down or give in. Even in prison he wanted to be sure he had done his mission. Anyone who leads will face resistance for those coming behind you and we must keep our hearts, eyes & hands locked onto Jesus to accomplish our purpose. Let Thy kingdom come through each of your people as we labor together for the harvest.

  20. “Are you tired?
    Matthew 11:28‭-‬30 MSG

Best decision I’ve ever made in my life! Being set free from sin, piece in my mind, joy, comfort, and strength. The world fills you with heavy burdrns that weighs you down. But JESUS had/has different plans for me. And this is what we need to let others know. Many don’t believe because they already live a life feeling defeated and see no way out.
Jesus tells us that He is the way, the truth, and life..

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow.
    Isaiah 48:17 NLT

  21. 3 And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
Often when we are going through times of testing, we are tempted to question things we have previously believed. John had already declared publicly that Jesus was the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. John also sent his disciples to follow Him. Yet, fear and doubt can steal previously held convictions if we let it. Jesus’ response from Scripture proved He was the one to come! He will prove Himself to us as well and we must hold to our beliefs no matter what!

  22. “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Those that are burden. Come lay them down. Lay your cares on him. He’ll see you through.

  23. So many so lost in the world fail to recognize the simplicity of the call. Jesus simply said ‘Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.’ He didn’t ask for great works or understanding… He merely asked for a response to his calling. If you’re truly sick of the life you’re in, if the burdens of that life seem to heavy to beat, just come unto me and I will give you rest. Yes, there will be many more steps along the way, but all he asked was that wet make that first step in faith and He will lead us into the rest we so desire.

We just have to make that decision to ‘Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.’ He’s willing to teach us all we need to know ans he brings us to that rest we so surely need for our souls… if we are but willing to come! He never said we wouldn’t have anything to bear… but that the burden we still need to carry will be so light in comparison, because it will be done with joy!

  24. 11 29
The GK word means here means ro calm comfort and recresh it reflects the ot concept rest as release frpm the pressures and tensions of life and and the peace that follows

  25. 11Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

We are all equals in the kingdom of God. And we must take back what the enemy has stolen from us. We must take it by force, which means we dont take NO for an answer. GOD who is in us, is stronger than any other. He is our God, our Father, our provider.

  26. 21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

And how shall the judgement be for us who, can have Christ living inside of us? How shall the judgement of our day be? I think revelation gives some insight into that.

  27. Josiah: 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
God’s burden is not heavy but the world’s can be. Life is so much less stressful when you take time to pray and study and read the word. When we are doing God’s will and taking on His yoke we can find it easy. There is so much people worry about that they do not need to. So, let us GO DO KINGDOM LABOUR!

  28. Jesus came to reach the lost. He came so that everyone that was lost would have a chance at eternal life. I’m thankful I found out who Jesus is. He is my rock and my shield.

  29. 1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.

We all have pasta and it is because of our pasta that there is usually a hard time witnessing to the lost, in our home towns. Jesus is sending his disciples to their home town….

  30. 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The rest of the Lord is the real rest. Sometimes life can get so heavy that only God can give you what your soul really needs

  31. 3 And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?

4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:

5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

When Jesus was asked if he was the Messiah, he could have easily answered it by saying “Yes I am” But he didn’t do that, he said to tell him of the works that he had done as the proof of him being the Messiah. Even for Jesus, he knew that actions speak much louder than words do. If he were to say he was Messiah, who are we to say no he isn’t? But that’s what Jesus did, he knew how important were his works than his words. How much more should our works be more important than our words?

  32. 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

God will give us rest when we seek after him and cast our burdens upon him. Their is nothing too hard for God. Jesus is meek and lowly in heart to be an example as to how we should carry ourselves. He has all power in his hands but he is gentle as a dove. He wants us to come willingly into him, as he laid down our lives for us so freely. When we can’t take anymore he can lift us up, by giving peace and rest.

  33. Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.(Matthew 11:28 NLT)

God wants for us to come to him when burdens become too hard to carry. He is more than able to give us rest and peace.

  34. What are you seeking?

7 And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

Doss it make any since to seek after anything else but the Kingdom of God? If everything but His Kingdom passes away then it would be a very poor investment to invest in anything else. If we are seeking things of the world, we have deceived ourselves already. Seek first the Kingdom of God. It is neccesssry to our human lives to seek natural provision but in seeking Him first we will find that he is a good Father and he will make sure we have everything we need.

  35. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

In Motion we just talked about being unequally yoked, but wow to be yoked with Jesus?! I’m definitely down for that hook up.

Hook up with Jesus cause He’ll lead you right, you’ll get to know Him and have relationship with Him, become more like Him, annnnnnd He’ll give you peace! Talk about a great hook up!!

  36. 15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Simple verse but really why don’t we ask God to Hear what He hears see what He sees. I’m pretty sure the opportunity to minister to the Lost will be revealed a lot more.

  37. Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,

6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me

Some think that John sent this inquiry for his own satisfaction. Where there is true faith, yet there may be a mixture of unbelief. The remaining unbelief of good men may sometimes, in an hour of temptation; call in question the most important truths. But we hope that John’s faith did not fail in this matter, and that he only desired to have it strengthened and confirmed. Others think that John sent his disciples to Christ for their satisfaction. Christ points them to what they heard and saw. Christ’s gracious condescensions and compassions to the poor, show that it was he that should bring to the world the tender mercies of our God. Those things which men see and hear, if compared with the Scriptures, direct in what way salvation is to be found. It is difficult to conquer prejudices, and dangerous not to conquer them; but those who believe in Christ, their faith will be found so much the more to praise, and honour, and glory.

  38. 2 Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,

3 And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?

We should all have someone to be submitted to and give account to in our spiritual lives. We all need spiritual guidance no matter how much wisdom we think we have. John’s disciples were still submitted even when their leader was in prison. They see a need for a man of God in their lives no matter how bad circumstances may be. In the same way, we should all be submitted to our man of God no matter how bad circumstances are in our lives. We need to be guided and held accountable in our walk with God for the sake of our salvation.

  39. 15Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!

As far as I know each person has ears to hear. If you can hear, take time to understand and obey the Word. Even in prison, John heard of Jesus. There is no excuse not to hear the Word. And mute may not hear, but they see the Word being translated to them.

  40. 27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Oh sweet it is to have revelation, just like a wise woman said, “it’s cause you don’t study The Word”….., we can study til we’re blue in the face and never understand any of it, to some it might even seem like jibberish, BUUUUTTTT GOD in HUS INFINITE WISDOM, MERCY AND LOVE, gave us HIS SPIRIT. THANK YOU JESUS!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  41. 25-26 Abruptly Jesus broke into prayer: “Thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth. You’ve concealed your ways from sophisticates and know-it-alls, but spelled them out clearly to ordinary people. Yes, Father, that’s the way you like to work.”

Each person has their own experiences, natural tendencies and view or perspective on the world we live in. People with similar perspectives generally migrate towards each other to compare views and feel a part of something that makes sense to them. When we focus on the Bible, the same applies; except there are those who God reveals things too that He does not reveal to others.

it can be a very a frustrating experience; that is, if you are actually interested in finding out what the Bible means. It seems that every major religious group (Jewish, Christian, New Age, etc.) sees the Bible differently. Each Christian denomination; Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, etc. reads the Bible differently. Within any particular church you will find individual people that have different perspectives; Pastor, Sis. Yahoo, XYZ Ministry Director, the list goes on and on.

We need a shepherd to guide the flock, keep us from harm and feed us – The Pastor. We have the ability to feed ourselves as any sheep in reality; and we should feed ourselves by studying and building on our personal relationship with God. Sheep do not always understand the seasons and we need to be herded to a new field where the harvest is ready – again The Pastor’s (Shepard’s) duty.
