Matthew 22

And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,

The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.

16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.

17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?

19 Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.

20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?

21 They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.

22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.

27 And last of all the woman died also.

28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

34 But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.

35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,

42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

44 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

  1. Verse 32 AMP ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” Same verse MSG “The grammar is clear: God says, ‘I am—not was—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob.’ The living God defines himself not as the God of dead men, but of the living.”

Exodus 3:14 VOICE says “I AM WHO I AM.[a] This is what you should tell the people of Israel: “I AM has sent me to rescue you.” Jesus rescues!

  2. 32 I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. And when the multitudes heard this, they were astonished at His teaching.

  3. 43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

44 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

He is no one’s son HE IS LORD! GOD WRAPPED IN FLESH! JESUS IS GOD! Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
ABOVE HIM THERE IS NO OTHER!!!!

  4. And Jesus replied to him, “ ‘Y ou shall love the Lord your G od with all your heart , and with all your soul , and with all your mind .’ The second is like it, ‘Y ou shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others].’
    MATTHEW 22:37‭, ‬39 AMP

This is how S.O.U.L.S will be reached in our city!! Our mission is His KINGDOM and nothing else.

  5. Matthew 22:36-37 (English Amp) Teacher, which kind of commandment is great and important the principal kind in the Law ? ( Some commandments are light-which are heavy ? ) [37] And he replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your mind (intellect). We should put God first before anything we do , This is the most important commandment . [Deut. 6:5] And you shall love the Lord your God with all your [mind and heart and with your entire being and with all your might. Repent, Love, Forgive, Obey, and Rejoice in the Lord.

  6. 8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

We don’t deserve this beautiful gift of salvation, first of all because of b our carnality, and also because we are not of the decendants of Abraham, God has chosen is for such a time as this, for his glory. This is something we should remind ourselves quite often to stay humble that is not because of anything we’ve done or able to do but by his pure grace that we are allowed the chance to see his kingdom

  7. 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

  8. 29. Jesus replied, “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God. NLT

Just a friendly word of advice – don’t try to use the Scriptures to create a trap for the One who inspired the Scriptures, and has all power!

    2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: KJV

    Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. KJV

  9. St. Matthew 22:29, “Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.”

  10. Matthew 22
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

Power in the name of Jesus.

  11. iLove the Kingdom
Matthew 22:5 (NLT)  But the guests he had invited ignored them and went their own way, one to his farm, another to his business…

It is important to always listen to God and also the man of God. Most of us think we listen, but true listening requires a response. Notice these particular guests “ignored” the voice of God and the servants of God. Think about it for a moment, they ignored the King. Just remember, the King sometimes sends his servants with certain tasks for the Kingdom. Don’t ignore the King, at least send His servants a text back letting him know why you can’t attend the Banquet. Boom

  12. But Jesus replied to them, “You are all wrong because you know neither the Scriptures [which teach the resurrection] nor the power of God [for He is able to raise the dead]. For in the resurrection neither do men marry nor are women given in marriage, but they are like angels in heaven [who do not marry nor produce children]. But as to the resurrection of the dead–have you not read [in the Scripture] what God said to you: ‘I am the G od of A braham , and the G od of I saac , and the G od of J acob ’? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”
    MATTHEW 22:29‭-‬32 AMP

    All in the mindset.
If we put on the mind of Christ then the earthly struggles of this life seem very trivial. Some would say the Sadducees had a good question to ask, but when you think about it…who cares!? If you were raised from the dead miraculously it changes your identity. Your not the same person you were. Upon going through something like that how can you just go back to living the same old life? You’ll have new VISION and new PURPOSE! That makes me wonder what Lazarus found himself doing. He had become one of Jesus’ greatest miracles. I couldn’t just sit at home and watch TV after something like that. Dead for four days!!??? Bro Lee Stoneking was dead 45 minutes and look at what God’s used his testimony for! What do you think He could do with a 4 day resurrection…? Lord, help us to out on the mind of Christ. In Jesus name.

  13. 32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

There is a religion today who baptizes people for the dead, but scripture says it’s appointed once for man to die, then the judgement. (Hen 9:27) There is no repentance, no praise in the grave; no baptism by someone else will do a thing. It’s only what we do for Jesus is life that counts.

  14. Matthew 22:36-40

  15. What think ye of Christ?

Seems like a simple enough question. Think about it. Think about who God is to us personally. Is God simply our security blanket when the cold winds of life blow? Is He our personal banker, ready to hand out money to cover up our poor decisions?

He is my refuge, my safe place. In His faithfulness, He clung to me when my faith was too weak to hold on. When I’ve been weak, He’s carried me through. He is always there, and seems to prove Himself over and over to me in ways that would likely seem insignificant to others. I am also starting to see Him as being much more than just the Creator but also that he is in everything – the ocean, the wind, the mountains, the trees. I find myself letting go of the struggle to figure out God and try to change myself to fit my perception of who I think He wants me to be . . . and instead, just start noticing Him in the world around me.

  16. But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
    Matthew 22:18‭, ‬35‭-‬40 KJV

Jesus always sees past the outward facade. It didn’t matter how holy they looked on the outside, nor how nicely and innocently they appeared to ask their questions, Jesus always knows the heart. He knows our motives often before we even know them ourselves. He cannot be deceived.

All these religious leaders were asking seemingly innocent questions as if they were really desiring to learn from Him, but Jesus perceived their wickedness. He knew they were trying to bait Him with traps so that they would have wherewith to accuse Him. He not only left them dumbfounded, He often subtly turned the accusation back on them.

For example, the lawyer above tried to tempt Jesus with a question about the law. Jesus not only quoted the greatest commandment, but He went on to add that the second commandment was to love others and said that ALL the law hung on these two commandments. In other words, if you don’t love God AND love others, then you cannot claim to be a keeper of the law.

By doing this, Jesus was highlighting their hypocrisy, because the very motive of their questioning revealed that they lacked the love which the law spoke of. They came to Him in pious self-righteousness, trying to expose Jesus as unworthy of the people’s affections, but they left having only succeeded in exposing their own sin and shortcomings.

Never try to outsmart an omniscient God!

  17. 9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

“I am a bride!” Haha… Beyond ourselves though God is bidding for His people to come to Him because one day He’ll be ready and we as a church need to be ready as a bride waiting for her groom. We’ve been charged in this verse, like many others to GO and compel anyone we find, anyone willing to come to the Father and build relationship with Him. People get ready, this is one invitation you do not want to turn down!

  18. 32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

34 But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.

35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

  19. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
    Matthew 22:37‭-‬39 KJV
Jesus summarized the first 4 commandments by saying love God with everything in you and He summarized the last of the commandments by saying love your neighbor (” Who is my neighbor? Everyone”) as yourself. The first part deals with our relationship to God. The second part deals with our relationship to others based on our view of ourselves. This is why we must see ourselves as God sees us! He sees us as His special crowning creation: What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: Psalms 8:4‭-‬6 KJV
God says we are marvelous as He very carefully made us:. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
    Psalms 139:14 KJV
God says we are especially chosen by Him, royalty, holy and a one of a kind treasure (peculiar) to Him: But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
    1 Peter 2:9 KJV
God claims you as His own: Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
    1 John 3:1 KJV
God says you are forgiven, clean, justified and set apart for Him! And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:11
Remember you are who God says you are, you are not who others say you are, you are not who your mom or dad says you are. You are not even who you say you are. You are who God says you are ! Trust His Word over your own!

  20. 4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

Too many times we take for granted the invitation from the LOrd to have a place at HIS table. Here many were invited but they were to busy. Examining our lives – are we too busy to sit at the Masters table? God forbid, lest we find ourselves removed from the opportunity and lose our place.

I love Jesus and I love my church !

  21. Jesus reply, “your mistake is that you don’t know the scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God. For when the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in merry marriage. In this respect they will be like the angels in heaven.
    Matthew 22:29-30 NLT

This is an example on how since the beginnings of times man Has Create their own man made Doctrine. Now more than ever we need to be sure that we know The true doctrine, there are many that are twisting the strictures for their own personal gain.

  22. “Jesus replied, “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:29‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Let us fall in love with His Word. Read it! Hear it! Write it! Memerize it! Eat it and let it be apart of your being.
“But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:105‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  23. 37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

Reading this reminded me of a sermon I heard at some point. Not sure who, not sure when I just remember it challenged your thinking.

The preacher was explaining in order to love God with all, you have to love yourself. For the next verse says to love your neighbor as yourself.

You cannot love God if you do not love who yourself.

  24. 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

  25. 42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

44 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

The most important questions we will ever answer are what we believe about Christ and who He is to us. Everything else is irrelevant until we believe Jesus is who He says He is.
We cannot rely alone on Pastor’s or anyone else’s definition of who He is. We must come to know who Jesus is for ourselves through relationship, through seeking it out in His word, and through talking to Him in prayer.
    Who is Jesus to you?

  26. 22:18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, why tempt ye me , ye Hipócrates?
    —————-

When they had heard these words, they marveled , and left him, and went their way.
    ————-
Is there anyone one who have not experience this? People coming to you , and you knowing , acknowledging their motive behind their conversation?
… thanks be to God who have giving us the VICTORY through CHRIST JESUS to be able to remain in self control by his HOLY SPIRIT.
I do noticed he spoke back to them😲 and what he answered surprised them.

I pray that at all times
My Spirit being , will be
Submitted and sensitive enough to HIS SPIRIT
that I may know when and how to answer, or at times remain quiet In a situation like this.

  27. THY KINGDOM COME
    NOT EVERYBODY GOES TO HEAVEN

9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

As the church we are commissioned to gather people to the marriage. We read here the instructions were; as many as you find, invite them to come. It is obvious by the response of the King that this one man did not meet the Kings standards, he may have however done enough to “fit in” with the crowd.

There is coming a day reckon or judgement, when The KING (JESUS) will judge each individual independently. The indication here is that this man who has not on a wedding garment, is a hypocrite in the church. Someone who attends but does not participate. Someone who hears but never responds, someone who is taught but never acknowledges, someone who is part of the crowd. But will be thrown out of the wedding. We learn from lucifers exit how powerful is the Lords dismissal.

But, look where the hypocrite is sent:

13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The only other reference we find in the WORD of GOD to this type of treatment is found in:

Matthew 8:10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 24:50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 25:28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

In each of these 4 references to “weeping and gnashing of teeth” JESUS is referring to hypocrites. Those who attempt to play the part, but do not honestly live for JESUS. In the small snapshot of each life for a few hours a week, we cannot really know the person. But, JESUS knows our every thought.(Luke 6:8 But he knew their thoughts,)

Saying all of this about the hypocrite the WORD of GOD further teaches us.

1Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

It is important that we respond to the WORD of GOD The Gospel of GOD.

  28. If we say we love God but we don’t act like we love our neighbor, tgen do we love God? A lot of Christians are blinded by religion and demand that their only friends are in the church. We must love all. Rather their black, white, straight, gay, Christian, Muslim… etc. everybody is your neighbor.

  29. And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,

2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

The provision made for perishing souls in the gospel, is represented by a royal feast made by a king, with eastern liberality, on the marriage of his son. Our merciful God has not only provided food, but a royal feast, for the perishing souls of his rebellious creatures. There is enough and to spare, of every thing that can add to our present comfort and everlasting happiness, in the salvation of his Son Jesus Christ. The guests first invited were the Jews. When the prophets of the Old Testament prevailed not, nor John the Baptist, nor Christ himself, who told them the kingdom of God was at hand, the apostles and ministers of the gospel were sent, after Christ’s resurrection, to tell them it was come, and to persuade them to accept the offer. The reason why sinners come not to Christ and salvation by him, is, not because they cannot, but because they will not. Making light of Christ, and of the great salvation wrought out by him, is the damning sin of the world. They were careless. Multitudes perish for ever through mere carelessness, who show no direct aversion, but are careless as to their souls. Also the business and profit of worldly employments hinder many in closing with the Saviour. Both farmers and merchants must be diligent; but whatever we have of the world in our hands, our care must be to keep it out of our hearts, lest it come between us and Christ. The utter ruin coming upon the Jewish church and nation, is here represented. Persecution of Christ’s faithful ministers fills up the measure of guilt of any people. The offer of Christ and salvation to the Gentiles was not expected; it was such a surprise as it would be to wayfaring men, to be invited to a royal wedding-feast. The design of the gospel is to gather souls to Christ; all the children of God scattered abroad, John 10:16; John 11:52. The case of hypocrites is represented by the guest that had not on a wedding-garment. It concerns all to prepare for the scrutiny; and those, and those only, who put on the Lord Jesus, who have a Christian temper of mind, who live by faith in Christ, and to whom he is all in all, have the wedding-garment. The imputed righteousness of Christ, and the sanctification of the Spirit, are both alike necessary. No man has the wedding-garment by nature, or can form it for himself. The day is coming, when hypocrites will be called to account for all their presumptuous intruding into gospel ordinances, and usurpation of gospel privileges. Take him away. Those that walk unworthy of Christianity, forfeit all the happiness they presumptuously claimed. Our Saviour here passes out of the parable into that which it teaches. Hypocrites go by the light of the gospel itself down to utter darkness. Many are called to the wedding-feast, that is, to salvation, but few have the wedding-garment, the righteousness of Christ, the sanctification of the Spirit. Then let us examine ourselves whether we are in the faith, and seek to be approved by the King.

  30. “The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:2, 8-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Look at these fine instructions on what we should be doing!
The word says the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is like unto a certain king which made a marriage for his son.. I’m reading this and I get on down in the chapter and I see it says the wedding is ready go out in the highways and byways. We’re looking for those that are wanting to be apart of this wedding.
Jesus is coming for his bride and that’s the Church.

  31. 35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

Everything is centered around love, why we reach people and tell them about Jesus, why Jesus died for us on the cross, why God commands not to lie, cheat, steal or any of the other commandments, all of these things are based on love. Jesus is the God of love, he created every single one of us unique and special because he loves us. If we cannot show love that what kind of God are we showing?

1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar, for he that loveth not his brother whom he hathseen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

  32. Josiah: 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
In the Kingdom of God you are serving God or not serving God. In the end there is Heaven and hell. In this world there is the saved and not saved. However everyone who is not saved does not have to stay like that. So, let us GO WITNESS IN JESUS NAME!

  33. 2The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

Everyone is welcomed into the kingdom of God. But not everyone will come. So if anyone says that they are not welcomed is not saying the truth. If we make people feel that way, we are not doing right. So make people feel welcomed, because everyone is.

  34. 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

It is a matter and an issue of Love. The word tells us that God is Love. To love God with all we are, heart mind soul and our neighbor as ourselves…that is the whole gospel. In the last days, because of the increase in wickedness the love of many shall wax cold. I say it is so important that we guard our hearts and keep them close to the loving fire of Jesus. It is Love that wins the hurting. It is Love that moves us to compassion. Stay on fire in the love of God that those, if any, waxing cold hearts may be melted by God’s love in you.

  35. 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

God is calling each of us to walk a new life . Take off the garment of sin and put on the garment of salvation.
The king came to see the guest and found one not wearing the right clothes and he was cast into outer darkness. The same is for us, God is calling and reaching for us to live a holy and clean life from sin and to put on a garment of righteousness. If we don’t at the end we will be cast out of the kingdom because we were unwilling to put on the garment that He provided. We don’t have to make it we don’t have to buy it He paid the price for us.

  36. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

I’m just now noticing that the king called him “friend” Just as he was I’m “speechless” A friend would know better friends or comrades would walk close to enough to each other that a friend would have known what to wear. It makes me wonder what happened? Did the friend get to relaxed that he thought he could do whatever he wanted and his “friend” would cover for him?

Well in the kingdom right is right and wrong is wrong. Like my husband preached to the young adults last night it’s not time to be lukewarm but we must be hot or cold.

A real good friend would lift each other up walking close to one another and be accountable for kingdom principle.

  37. 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Two powerful commandments that will change our lives if we apply it to ourselves. Loving he Lord with everything we got and loving everyone else like ourselves. Love is a very strong word….

Definition: an intense feeling of deep affection.

We must love how God loves!!! Unconditionally and looking at no defects. Seeing through Gods eyes!!

  38. 18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?

Do you believe God perceives our wickedness? Do we ask amiss? Or for personal gain?

I remember a Myth Busters episode where they asked if God real or not! Sad to see there attempt to “prove” God doesn’t exist.

God discerns the intentions of our heart, that is why some prayers go unanswered.

Self examine yourself, there may be something in the hidden hindering your answer.

  39. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Jesus wants everyone to be saved, but not everyone wants to be saved. It’s the choices we make that can lead us to eternal life with God or eternal condemnation. It is up to us whether or not God can fulfill His plan in our lives. Jesus wants us to willingly seek and serve Him with all of our hearts. If one does not love God now with all their heart in their temporary life on Earth, what can make them think they’ll love to be with Jesus eternally in Heaven? The Kingdom of God is for those who are obedient to His commandments. John 14:15 says, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” When we obey God’s word, we show Him that we love Him and are selfless. Saying “I love you, Jesus” isn’t enough. Let’s obey Jesus and give Him glory.

  40. 4“So he sent other servants to tell them, ‘The feast has been prepared. The bulls and fattened cattle have been killed, and everything is ready. Come to the banquet!’

God has everything ready for us up in Heaven. All we have to do is join him by being baptized, receive the Holy Spirit, and serve for his Kingdom. Come to Heaven!

  41. The Sadducees did not believe in the resurrection, so their question was not truly asked in sincerity but merely to spread confusion. Jesus answered them with scripture, ‘But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.’

The Sadducees had made the same mistake that those in the world often make… trying to describe the spiritual by things they could understand in the natural. They described those who served God as being dead, because they could understand having seen dead bodies being placed into the ground. Once dead, they knew those bodies would then decay. Jesus answered with a powerful reminder from scripture that they had likely quoted quite often without even thinking about it. I am the God… not I was the God, or I used to be the God, or I will be the God of then again, but I am the God of your forefathers!

Jesus would of course show them even more powerfully at his own resurrection. It makes you wonder how many Sadducees were left after the dead walked the streets of Jerusalem. They may have still tried to deny Jesus, but how can you deny the multitude come back from the grave and walking through the city? They may have been astonished at his doctrine, but when that doctrine became a visible demonstration of God’s power, it would be followed by conversions in the thousands!

  42. “Listen carefully: your house is being left to you desolate [completely abandoned by God and destitute of His protection]!”
    ‭‭MATTHEW‬ ‭23:38‬ ‭AMP‬‬

It must feel miserable to be without the Lord. And to add to it all no longer having His protection! That would be too much for me. Lord, take not your Spirit from me. Walk with me everyday. Let me abide under the shadows of your wings. Thank you for being my refuge in the time of trouble.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted and return to You.”
    ‭‭PSALM‬ ‭51:10-13‬ ‭AMP‬‬
