Mark 13

And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!

And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,

Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?

And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.

10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

15 And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:

16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.

17 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

18 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.

19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:

22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:

29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.

30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

34 For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

  1. Verse 31 CEV “The sky and the earth will not last forever, but my words will.” Same verse AMP “Heaven and earth [as now known] will [f]pass away, but My words will not pass away.”

Psalm 119:89-96 AMP “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven [standing firm and unchangeable]. Your faithfulness continues from generation to generation; You have established the earth, and it stands [securely]. They continue this day according to Your ordinances, For all things [all parts of the universe] are Your servants. If Your law had not been my delight, Then I would have perished in my time of trouble. I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have revived me and given me life. I am Yours, save me [as Your own]; For I have [diligently] sought Your precepts and required them [as my greatest need]. The wicked wait for me to destroy me, But I will consider Your testimonies. I have seen that all [human] perfection has its limits [no matter how grand and perfect and noble]; Your commandment is exceedingly broad and extends without limits [into eternity].”

  2. Mark13:35-36 (English Amp) Therefore watch give strict attention, be cautious and alert, for You do not know when the Master of the house is coming in the evening, or at midnight, of at crockcrowing, or in the morning. [36] Watch, I say lest He come suddenly and unexpectedly and find you asleep. For no man knows when the Lord is comming back. We must watch and pray. Gather up as many souls as we can in Jesus name.

  3. 35. You, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know when the master of the household will return-in the evening, at midnight, before dawn, or at daybreak.

    36. Don’t let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning.

    37. I say to you what I say to everyone: Watch for him!” NLT

    Watch! Always be ready!
As Bro Baxter was explaining, even if Jesus is planning to return after the tribulation; if you run out of time before the tribulation, you are pre-trib and better be ready!

  4. 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Jesus was telling his deciples to be vigilant and watchful in that time, how much more should we be watchful and be vigilant in our time. With the ways things are going we have much work to do to reach more people sick as the latter rain is fortold to us in James

  5. Mark 13:21-23

  6. Mark 13

    Stay at Your Post
32-37 “But the exact day and hour? No one knows that, not even heaven’s angels, not even the Son. Only the Father. So keep a sharp lookout, for you don’t know the timetable. It’s like a man who takes a trip, leaving home and putting his servants in charge, each assigned a task, and commanding the gatekeeper to stand watch. So, stay at your post, watching. You have no idea when the homeowner is returning, whether evening, midnight, cockcrow, or morning. You don’t want him showing up unannounced, with you asleep on the job. I say it to you, and I’m saying it to all: Stay at your post. Keep watch.”

Where has God placed you? Each member in the body of Christ given something to do. His return is soon. He tells us here we must keep a watch. First on our own self lest we miss it and then watching out for false prophets and guarding the house . Our hearts as the day approaches. Third back to the work of the Kingdom Staying at the post. Sharing decreeing not falling asleep at the position God has called each of us. We must declare to this world to be ready. We have been given a mandate a commission to share to preach to teach all nations about His Message. So much more as His return comes near. Stay at your post watch and work fir soon He will return!!!!

  7. 5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:

6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Take heed means to pay attention, to listen. My father always taught us to pay attention to our surroundings no matter where we went or where we were; we were to pay attention to our surroundings. This lesson kept me out of many troubles for I saw the trouble coming before it started and was able to leave before it took place. In the same manner God wants us to pay attention, then He said watch, keep your eyes and ears open and take watch, be vigilant for no one knows the hour. Finally in verse 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
AND PRAY!!!! Yes pray!!!! 1 Thessalonians 5:16Rejoice evermore. 17Pray without ceasing. 18In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. WOW! This is His will concerning us!!! So why fear!!! If we do what He tells us to there should be no fear for what’s to come for we TRUST HIM!!!! PAY ATTENTION, WATCH, AND PRAY!!!

  8. Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

Jesus, help us to stay ready and prepared for Your coming. I don’t ever want to be wrapped up in my own problems so much that I miss the mark. Jesus keep us tuned in to what You’re doing.

  9. Be ready

Be ready for his return. Yes, there will be signs that the time is near, yet we do not know the day or hour that he is coming back. Will he find His church asleep? Or, will He find it busy doing His work for the Kingdom. I pray today that if you are struggling with your walk that you will find it to strengthen yourself in it. That you will not waiver from the truths of the Gospel of Jesus. Hold on church we are about to see, witness, and experience the mightness of our God.

  10. iLove the Kingdom
The scriptures fit together like a perfectly tailored suit. Check this out:

*Mark 13:14 Jesus tells his disciples they will see the antichrist stand in the temple

*Matthew 24:15 Jesus tells his disciples they will see the antichrist stand in the temple

*Daniel 7:21,22 Daniel says the antichrist will war against the saints until Jesus comes back.

*2 Thessalonians 2:4 Paul tells the Gentile believers that they will see the antichrist stand in the temple

Jesus gives his disciples a time line that is consistent through out the entire Bible. His disciples will see the antichrist stand in the temple and then soon after that the real Messiah (Christ) will come and everyone will see him in the sky.

Mar 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

  11. Go Evangelize!

People who can speak more than one language are some pretty awesome people. They can reach people a little faster than you and I can. Without a translator we’d be having a pretty tough time explaining sruff.
Let me tell y’all a little story.
When I was about 11 or 12 I went to my dads house every other weekend and I’m not gonna lie I would get a little bored but it only pushed me to be adventurous. I also learned not to play in the creek below all the houses…
Anyways I came across two fellas who couldn’t speak no Wnglish whatsoever, but they were playing soccer and kicked it to me.
Long story short I played soccer with them and we had a good ole time.
So the next day I went looking for my new non-English speaking friends. I finally found one! I kept trying to ask him where the ball was and he kept looking at me like I was crazy. I sounded the word out, I spelled the word out, I even DREW A PICTURE. I was having a tough time with this communication stuff. Finally I crumbled a piece of paper up and kicked it and The light bulb came on for my Hispanic friend.

We should allow God to lead us when there’s a communication barrier. If not you’ll find yourself struggling for awhile
    Struggling but determined!

  12. 32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
34 For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

  13. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

  14. St. Mark 13:29 & 33-37
    29) So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.

    33) Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
    34) For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
    35) Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
    36) Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
    37) And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

    2 Thess. 5:4 & 6
    4) But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
    6) Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

  15. THY KINGDOM COME
    BE READY

32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
34 For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

Seperation is painful in this life, for those we love. But, it is unimaginable the pain of separation from the LOVE of GOD eternally. People who are playing in sin and sleeping in church are right now taking this unalulated risk. The pain will be eternal and nonstop for those that do not “Seek FIRST The Kingdom of GOD and HIS Righteousness”.

To watch means to always be on the lookout, to be aware and alert to what The SPIRIT is saying to the Church. So many people in this world are playing with their eternity by trying to guess or calculate when JESUS is coming so they can get ready just in time.

    I say.

    “GET READY NOW”

It is ok to be ready early and “Occupy til HE Comes”. We only have 1 opportunity at Eternal LIFE and we should not be playing, sleeping, or lightly approaching the day of judgement.

    JESUS is coming soon.

    BE READY

Repent, Be Baptized in JESUS name, Receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost, Live a Holy Life separate from this world and unto JESUS.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  16. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

I was slightly disappointed going out of town this last weekend because I would be missing the EndTimes here at church, but God’s so good He had my Bishop preach the same ideas over in Wichita! His main point was obviously to be ready because no one knows when the Lord is coming back. But he made this really good point that just stuck out to me. For all those who think they have time, or think they’re good enough to endure tribulation and just get right and get saved then, Bishop Cornwell asked this: “If you can’t even live for Jesus here and now, how in the world will you ever die for Him?!” The time is now everyone – “No time to lose, no time to waste. The time is now, don’t hesitate!” Not only do we need to stay prayerful ourselves and keep watch for ourselves, but there are souls all around us who desperately need God. Don’t spoil their chance at salvation by being selfish – GO reach them!!

  17. “And the gospel must first be published among all nations.”

“And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”
    ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13: 10, 13, 33, 35-37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The entire chapter of Mark 13 teaches us on how to prepare for the second coming of Christ.
It warns us of persecutions to come, but to keep the faith and persevere.
It challenges us to GO and preach the gospel to all nations!
It reveals to us the way to prepare is to study His word and be continual in prayer!
It is important we live each and every day drawing closer to God, for we know not when our time here is over and we must be ready!

  18. The end is near and we must be prepared for his return for we know not . We need to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ . Also notice the signs we are having these signs . Be alert and don’t get left behind .

  19. 34-37 It’s like a man who takes a trip, leaving home and putting his servants in charge, each assigned a task, and commanding the gatekeeper to stand watch. So, stay at your post, watching. You have no idea when the homeowner is returning, whether evening, midnight, cockcrow, or morning. You don’t want him showing up unannounced, with you asleep on the job. I say it to you, and I’m saying it to all: Stay at your post. Keep watch.”

We know we can’t give up. However, we can become weary of constant battle. Things come at us from all sides. Maybe we battle a certain temptation for years; finally have it whipped only for it to rise up again in a slightly different manner to trip us up. We open ourselves to others for help only to have them rip out parts they were never supposed to have access to. It can be exhausting.

We can’t give up when that familiar sin, still crouching at your door after all these years, pounces again with temptation. We can’t give up when we feel that deep weariness from long battles with persistent weaknesses. We can’t give up when our long asked-and-sought-and-knocked-for prayers have not yet been answered. We can’t give up when the devil’s fiery darts of doubt find flesh and cause us pain. We can’t give up when the ministry the Lord has assigned you to is hard and the harvest does not look promising.

Don’t give up when we have fail in sin. Don’t wallow. Repent (again), get our eyes off ourselves (again), and fix our eyes on Jesus (again). Get up and get back in the fight.

  20. 31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Verse 31 states that all shall pass way BUT the Word. The Word is and will forever Be. It will never change, fault or lead us astray.

    When you’re feeling lonely:
Isaiah 41:10 states “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

    When you’re lost:
Deuteronomy 31:8 “And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”

    When you’re being corrected:
Job 5:17 “Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:”

Through every season, every trial, and every joy there is Bible for that! In a situation you are unsure of how to handle, ask yourself “Wheres that in the Bible?” and then GO Find IT!

  21. Jesus replied, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in many parts of the world, as well as famines. But this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come. “When these things begin to happen, watch out! You will be handed over to the local councils and beaten in the synagogues. You will stand trial before governors and kings because you are my followers. But this will be your opportunity to tell them about me. For the Good News must first be preached to all nations. But when you are arrested and stand trial, don’t worry in advance about what to say. Just say what God tells you at that time, for it is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit. “A brother will betray his brother to death, a father will betray his own child, and children will rebel against their parents and cause them to be killed. And everyone will hate you because you are my followers. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
    Mark 13:5‭-‬13 NLT

    Stay alert and go tell
Today chapter talk about the coming of JESUS he tell us to stay warn because many will claim they are the Messiah but they are not many will prophesied but it not from JESUS he even goes into saying that even his Chosen One will do these things last we I read that there was a church I forgot what state but they are worshipping Satan the church was made to worship Satan this really open my eyes
Then at the next verse it goes on taking about Nation against Nation Kingdom against Kingdom that’s happened now just ask Korea and they will tell you then it goes on saying there will be earthquakes that’s been happening to just turn on the news and don’t forget about the 2 volcano that erupted a couple months ago
The next verse goes into saying you will be arrested for being his followers you will stand in our case the juge or …… This is the time JESUS said to tell them about the gospel every person we have we bump into or even our family and friends we should be telling them about the Gospel of JESUS Christ because we want everyone to go to heaven. The verse continuously with JESUS saying don’t worry when you talk to them because just say what God tell you he will be speaking to you thought the holy ghost
This why it’s important to have the gift of God
May will hate they might even try to kill us but they that endure to the end will be save
THE TiME IS NOW No TIME TO WASTE

  22. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
    Mark 13:35‭-‬37 KJV

We need to have an attitude of watchfulness—living like we are watching for the Lord to come back at any moment—living like our eyes are on Heaven. When we stop watching, we start living for today’s pleasures, and selfishness or laziness can crowd out godly priorities and perspectives. As the old song says, we need to live like we are dying. When we understand that repentance for tomorrow is not promised, we are more purposeful about how we live today.

“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and UNTO THEM THAT LOOK FOR HIM shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”
    Hebrews 9:28 KJV

‘If ye then be risen with Christ, SEEK THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE ABOVE, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. SET YOUR AFFECTION ON THINGS ABOVE, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, THEN shall ye also appear with him in glory. MORTIFY therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:”
    Colossians 3:1‭-‬5 KJV

  23. 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

25 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

  24. 26 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory, And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven. GET READY BE READY.

  25. Jesus is warning us that terrible times will come but it is not for us to worry about anything but teach the Gospel. We must also remember we are never too “sanctified” and that deception cannot touch us. We must be continually watchful of our lives because even the elect could be deceived we do not know when He will return but we do know “the Master of the House” will come.

We cannot get so caught up in the verables that we miss preparation for the absolutes. The verable is when He is coming and the absolute is He is coming. Do not get me wrong it’s important that we are reminded that we do not know when He will return but we must live each day like today is the day He’s coming back.

  26. Jesus was talking to his desiples about the endtime and His return. Jesus said that the world we see today will not be the same when he returns. Jesus also said to not worry about the wars to just trust in him through the wars and trials.

  27. [Mar 13:35-37 KJV] 35 WATCH ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36 Lest coming suddenly he find you SLEEPING. 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, WATCH.
Strong’s defines WATCH as- to keep awake, i.e. watch (literally or figuratively):—be vigilant, wake, (be) watch(-ful).
We must keep awake spiritually so that day does not come upon us unaware. No man knows the day or the hour but we can know the season as we see the signs begin to come to pass. We don’t want to fall asleep at the wheel as Bro Klinedinst preached. We want to live our lives rapture ready even if that means going through great tribulation….

  28. The night cometh.

But there’s no shress on my chest.

“For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be.”
    ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

    He’ll feed us.
He will take care of us.
    He’ll watch over.

  29. 9“When these things begin to happen, watch out! You will be handed over to the local councils and beaten in the synagogues. You will stand trial before governors and kings because you are my followers. But this will be your opportunity to tell them about me.

Yes this is happening in our time. People in business have been arrested and fined for supporting God. Many are being forced by the government to do its will. Jesus predicted this would happen, and it continues today.

  30. 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Watch… we keep hearing time and time again that we are living in the end times yet still many people live their lives carelessly. Watch. We must be vigilant for our own souls and for those we love. We must be the light and this dark world. There are no better directions than the ones given in the Word of God. Watch according to Strong’s

    to watch
metaph. give strict attention to, be cautious, active
to take heed lest through remission and indolence some destructive calamity suddenly overtake one

It is time to draw near to God and really know Him. For He will tell us all things and direct us to all truth.

  31. 5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:
