Mark 16

And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.

And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?

And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.

And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.

Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

10 And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

11 And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.

12 After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.

13 And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.

14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

  1. 3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?

    Mary Magdalene was full of faith and took oils and spices to go and anoint Jesus’ lifeless body. She did this knowing the tomb was blocked by a huge stone. Onviously, she wasn’t strong enough to move it by herself. She asked herself who would roll it away. The soldiers guarding the tomb surely weren’t going to just willingly do it. That is unless it was miraculous of course. This didn’t stop her from preparing and going anyways. Sometimes we don’t know how Jesus is going to make a way, but we can have the same faith that He will. If a mustard seed of faith can move a mountain then I’m sure a stone would be no match. What happens when she gets their is nothing short of miraculous. Imagine if she let fear hold her back, she would have missed this divine appointment.

  2. And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. Mark 16:1‭, ‬3‭-‬4 KJV

    These women wanted to do something for their Lord; and even though they knew there would be obstacles, they gathered everything they needed and started on their trip to His grave. They didn’t wait until they had everything all figured out. They had the faith to believe there would be a solution when they needed it.

    We often fall short of having this kind of faith. We hear the call or sense the need, but we hesitate because we don’t have all our questions answered. We sometimes fail to act because we don’t have a clear blueprint or gameplay from start to finish. We want to see the end from the beginning ourselves, and thus we fail to obey the One who actually does. We let our fear of the problems and the unknown immobilize us instead of trusting in His promises and provision.

    When the women made it to the problem they were worried about, it had already been solved for them. The answer came while they were on their way. I wonder what problems God would solve for us if we would just step out by faith on the vision He has already given. Instead of expecting His whole plan to be laid out for us up front, we need the kind of faith that keeps us moving forward even when we only see one step at a time.

  3. Mark 16:15-18 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved but he that believeth not shall be damned and these signs shall follow them that believe in my name shall they cast out devils ; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

    Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    We shall see this tonight in Jesus Name! We are those disciples that signs follow cause we believe and we will see the miraculous in Jesus Name!

  4. 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
    16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
    17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
    18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

    The great commission hasn’t changed, we still have the same calling by Christ. To go reach and teach people everywhere and baptising them, to warn them off what’s to come and they will have new life and protection from any toxic part of life.

  5. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved: but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues: they will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them: they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

  6. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

  7. In this chapter, we see how the disciples were rebuked for their unbelief. The very thing they had been praying for had just been answered; but, they refused to believe it. Sometimes we cannot see the very answer right in front of us. We must trust in the Lord as John 14:1 AMP says “Do not let your heart be troubled (afraid, cowardly). Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me.” Also, Proverbs 3:5 AMP says”Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.”

  8. THY KINGDOM COME
    I BELIEVE

    13 And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.
    14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
    15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
    16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
    17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

    JESUS shared with HIS disciples of HIS own Death,Burial and Resurrection. However, their unbelief began and was demonstrated at the crucifixion, not at the resurrection.

    The BIBLE says that JESUS “upbraided them” in verse 14.

    UPBRAIDED – 3679. oneidizo; to defame, i.e. rail at, chide, taunt: — cast in teeth, (suffer) reproach, revile, upbraid.

    JESUS got up in their face and the GNT says “He scolded them” for their unbelief.

    The unbelief began 3 days earlier.

    The Disciples left him alone at the CROSS, the were not willing to be counted with HIM. They denied HIM or did not express or demonstrate their belief in HIM. The FRUIT of their unbelief was manifest when the Miracle of Resurrection occurred, they were operating under the influence of “unbelief”.

    Our FAITH during the “Trial” is demonstrated when the Miracle comes. If the disciples would have believed in HIM. Followed, agreed and supported HIM at crucifixion they would have believed that HE was Resurected also and avoided the scolding or chide of JESUS for their unbelief.

  9. Mark 6-7 (English Amp) And he said to them, Do not be amazed and terrified; You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, Who was crucified, He has risen; He is not here. See the place where they laid him.
    [7] But be going; tell disciples and Peter, He goes before you will see Him there, [just] as He told you.
    [ Mark 14 :28 ] But after I am risen [ to life] I will go before you into Galilee. Jesus was telling the disciples about his crucifixion, But they denied him.
    This is comes down to unbelief. I believe their unbelief ( there lack of faith) and their hardness of heart. I believe .

  10. 11. And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.

    13. And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.

    14. Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

    15. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

    16. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

    Jesus commissioned these unbelievers to go convince others to believe. Whatever you’ve been through, He can use that to reach others through you.

  11. 14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

    AMP – 14 Later, Jesus appeared to the eleven [disciples] themselves as they were reclining at the table; and He called them to account for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after He had risen [from death].

    We must be careful to not exhibit doubt or unbelief when the testimonies began to rise about what the Lord is doing among us. We have prayed and fasted for signs wonders and miracles, but they can be stopped so easily by lack of faith on our part, or be not believing when they happen.

    If we want to be the Book of Acts Church we should expect the Book of Acts results, therefore we must practice the Book of Acts Faith and response to the Spirit of God.

  12. Mark 16

    11 And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.

    Lord help our unbelief. You died and rose again now we must carry out the great commandments of reaching this world. Oh what a reason to live to share what You have done in my life. To show others Tou are alive You are the Saviour. Thank You Jesus . Help us to not doubt but believe that Your Word is truth and You can and will save and heal in Jesus name! He is alive and He must be proclaimed!!!

  13. 14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
    15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
    16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

  14. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

    17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

    We must enter into the house of God with our expectancy level high! For great things shall be done in His name, only to those that believe!
    We set our hope on you Lord!

  15. 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

    16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

    17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

  16. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.

    Another verse, you must be baptized to be saved. And it warns those who backslide, if you lose faith, belief in God, you’ll be condemned. The saying of “once saved always saved” is not biblical. Stay strong in God, don’t lose faith, and serve God.

  17. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

    The Lord working WITH them! We must not forget it isn’t us. God doesn’t NEED to use us, He WANTS to use us! Without God, we wouldn’t even be able to change oxygen into carbon dioxide.

  18. 15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
    16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
    17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

    The promise is for us today! Jesus said it that they shall speak with new tongues. They meaning us, until He returns. Thank you Jesus for dying for me.

  19. These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”
    Mark 16:17‭-‬18 NLT

    Going in Power
    What kind of day can we have if before we leave the house we have a Holy Ghost prayer meeting? Who could be healed? What things can shift in the Supernatural? What lives could be changed if we decide within ourselves that we’re not stepping foot outside our front doors without first praying through, talking in tongues, and walking in the power and authority of the Holy Ghost?

  20. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
    17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

    After Jesus had addressed their unbelief, he began teaching. I believe this time they were listening intently. They are commissioned to go teach & baptize and also spoke about speaking in tongues. I am thankful that Jesus declared the signs that should every believer because we can see that our church has each of them.

  21. St. Mark 16:20, “And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”

    1 Cor. 3:9 says, “For we are labourers together with God:…”

  22. 9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

    Why her first? Just a random question that I pondered as I read this… Why didn’t he go straight to His disciples? There’s several times in scripture they are scolded for their lack of faith – even in this very chapter! Perhaps that’s the case here again. They didn’t choose to stand by Jesus or even be associated with Him when He was taken, beaten, and crucified; they didn’t connect the dots to understand what Jesus had been foretelling them; and now in this moment they are too caught up in sorrow and disbelief to receive Him (proven when each person shared their encounter with the resurrected Jesus and the disciples didn’t believe). I don’t know why Jesus went to Mary Magdalene first, Maybe she had more faith, or something that attracted Jesus unlike the disciples. Regardless, it’s pretty wonderful to think He first chose to visit a woman once full of devils that he delivered and has now saved through His blood. He first chose to visit a saved sinner, the ones he chose to stay on that cross for.

  23. iLove the Kingdom
    14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

    Boom, the lightbulb 💡 came on…Yep, just now. Wow, I know all ya’ll already knew this. The thing that keeps folks from great faith is “hardness of heart”. In order for us to have ever increasing faith we must always forgive and refuse to become bitter in our hearts. It’s not easy, even here in our scriptures we have Jesus rebuking the disciples because they had allowed this hardness to choke out faith.

  24. 1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

    These 3 women walked a tough path. If you ever lost a loved one you know that the first visit to the cementary it’s the hardest of all. Here they are walking to their first visit with the Lord since his crucifiction. Mary Magdalene had a lot of gratefulness in her heart for Jesus deliver her from 7 demons. Some theologians say she was a harlot but no where in the Bible does it say that it only says that she was demon possessed. In anyway, they were coming to serve the Lord even after His death. Can you imagine their surprise to see that one of their concerns while walking was already taken care of!! The stone was removed!!!! They walked in and their Lord it’s gone nowhere to be found; but the young man dressed in white tells them to go back to Galilee and they will see their Lord.
    9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
    Have you ever felt unworthy of His Grace??? This is something I struggled with for a long time but God!!!! Here she is again Mary Magdalene, the one that was delivered from 7 devils and she gets to be the very first to see Jesus after His resurrection!!! He is so good that He meets us in the middle of our battle, right in the mist of everything He comes and makes the way straight again. The chaos that was one there is gone just by His presences. I thank God that no matter where we been, no matter what we have done, once He lays His hands on you and you become His you are His forever!!!!

  25. Mark 16:10-13

  26. 14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

    15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

    16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

    17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

    18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
    How many times has God spoken into our lives and tells what he is going to do and it happens right in front of us that we still don’t believe. His disciples walked with Jesus saw the great works but yet still couldn’t believe what they were hearing until Jesus showed up himself.
    I want to say that even though sometimes we don’t believe what God says repeat of the unbelief and receive the word of the Lord because Jesus got on to them for there unbelief and then gave them a command so just because we fall short of faith go to prayer get renewed in the fire of the Holy Ghost and tell others about him and his great works.

  27. 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

    16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

    17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

    18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

    19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

  28. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned

    AND IS BAPTIZED …..!!! CAN’T HAVE ONE WITHOUT THE OTHER………

  29. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned
    This Scripture disproves infant baptism and sprinkling. First, you have to be old enough to believe to be baptized. The word believe means to
    be persuaded of and to place confidence in. Second, the word for baptized means to immerse or to submerge!

  30. 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

    16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

    17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

    HOLY GHOST! Signs and wonders thank you Jesus for the Signs and wonders! A change is happening and many things are In store God has his anointing pouring!!!!!! Jesus told his believers to go into Alll the world and preach the word and do Gods will!

  31. 1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

    Let’s take swim in some Bible tools for quicky.

    Ordinary . Anointing the body or head with oil was a common practice with the Jews, as with other Oriental nations. ( 28:40 ; Ruth 3:3 ; Micah 6:15 ) Anointing the head with oil or ointment seems also to have been a mark of respect sometimes paid by a host to his guests. ( Luke 7:46 ) and Psal 23:5

    Spiritual anointing with the Holy Ghost is conferred also upon Christians by God. ( 2 Corinthians 1:21 ) ” Anointing “expresses the sanctifying influences of the Holy Spirit upon Christians who are priests and kings unto God.

    I think some of us got this anointing stuff if I’m being honest.
    Let the Holy Ghost move through you willingly and you’ll see anointing flow. Rev. Bobby wade said some of us are able to do something we’re able to make a change with the anointing of the Lord but we won’t get up and do anything.
    It’s rime we get to moving in the spirt and tell the adversary to take a hike out of our lives.
    Not today devil.
    Not tomorrow
    Not never

  32. God did his part……

    3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?

    4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

    There is no way those two women could have moved that stone. No one needed to help Jesus be raised from the dead. They came expecting him to be dead and they found him gone. Jesus did exactly what he said he was going to do. He is risen and has done his part. He has left the gospel in our hands. What will we do? Will we let it be a mystery to unbelievers or will we be in satisfied with the Hill?

    If God never does another thing for us, he has done everything. He has done his part, the rest is in our hands .

  33. 9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

    He appeared first to Mary. It could be that she had the faith and hope that would share his resurrection message with others because the miracle she received.

  34. And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?

    4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

    5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.

    6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

    7 But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

    8 And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.

    They inquired about who would roll the stone away and then the angel of the Lord rolls it away. They are so afraid of the angel that they did not realize their prayer was answered.

    God is listening to our every conversation and He is sending angels to work the miraculous in our lives. Let us not be so afraid of the very answer to our prayer but let us be thankful that we serve a powerful God that answers our needs

  35. I learned that Jesus raised from the dead and the first person that saw him was a person that he cast out 7 demons out of and then she told the other people but they did not believe her then they saw Jesus and they told the other people but they did not believe them then they saw Jesus and then they believed them

  36. .

    17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

    The same power is in us. This is for every believer and follower of Jesus. In his name shall.. it doesn’t say could or maybe but shall for those that believe.

  37. And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

    2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.

    3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?

    4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

    9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

    10 And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

    Did Christ pour out his soul unto death for us, and shall we think any thing too precious for him? Do we give him the precious ointment of our best affections? Let us love him with all the heart, though it is common for zeal and affection to be misunderstood and blamed; and remember that charity to the poor will not excuse any from particular acts of piety to the Lord Jesus. Christ commended this woman’s pious attention to the notice of believers in all ages. Those who honour Christ he will honour. Covetousness was Judas’ master lust, and that betrayed him to the sin of betraying his Master; the devil suited his temptation to that, and so conquered him. And see what wicked contrivances many have in their sinful pursuits; but what appears to forward their plans, will prove curses in the end.
