Luke 1

Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,

Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;

It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,

That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.

And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.

And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest’s office before God in the order of his course,

According to the custom of the priest’s office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.

10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.

11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.

15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.

16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.

17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.

20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

21 And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple.

22 And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.

23 And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.

24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,

25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.

26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.

28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.

32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;

40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.

41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.

50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.

51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.

53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.

54 He hath helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;

55 As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.

56 And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.

57 Now Elisabeth’s full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.

58 And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.

59 And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.

60 And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John.

61 And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name.

62 And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.

63 And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all.

64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God.

65 And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea.

66 And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.

67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,

68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;

70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:

71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;

72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,

74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,

75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,

79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.

  1. And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.
    But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.
    And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.
    Luke 1:7‭, ‬13‭-‬14‭, ‬18 KJV

    It is obvious from his comment that Zacharias was well past believing that this prayer could and would be answered. I’m sure that both he and his wife made this request to the Lord repeatedly when they were young and maybe even into their middle-age years. However, as the years went by and their age creeped up, they must have begun to doubt that an answer would come. Once Elisabeth hit menopause, they had completely resigned themselves to unanswered prayer and childlessness.

    What they failed to realize was that with God, there is no expiration date on prayer. He doesn’t need conditions to be possible to perform miracles. He functions in the realm of impossibilities, and He never forgets the cry of our hearts. Even though Zacharias and Elisabeth had given up on their prayer, God had not. He was waiting on the right time to bring the right answer.

    What 10 – 20 – 30-year-old requests do we have bottled up in Heaven that we’ve not yet seen an answer to? Have we given up on requests because they now seem impossible? Have we assumed that the years gone by mean that God’s answer was NO? Have we walked away disappointed and disillusioned with a God who doesn’t seem interested in answering our prayer?

    If 1000 years is as a day to God, 30 years is not even a brief hesitation in Heaven. We must learn to trust and to wait. We must see our unanswered prayers as simply being unanswered YET. We must trust that God would never withhold what is good from those who walk uprightly. We must see impossibilities as opportunities for miraculous answers. God is faithful to His children;
    NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR PRAYERS!

  2. 17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

    Sounds like my Pastor, we at P.O.F.W are blessed and highly favored…..our flesh might struggle with what he teaches sometimes, but he is making ready a people prepared for the LORD!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  3. Luke 1

    26-28 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to the Galilean village of Nazareth to a virgin engaged to be married to a man descended from David. His name was Joseph, and the virgin’s name, Mary. Upon entering, Gabriel greeted her:

    Good morning!
    You’re beautiful with God’s beauty,
    Beautiful inside and out!
    God be with you.
    29-33 She was thoroughly shaken, wondering what was behind a greeting like that. But the angel assured her, “Mary, you have nothing to fear. God has a surprise for you: You will become pregnant and give birth to a son and call his name Jesus.

    He will be great,
    be called ‘Son of the Highest.’
    The Lord God will give him
    the throne of his father David;
    He will rule Jacob’s house forever—
    no end, ever, to his kingdom.”
    34 Mary said to the angel, “But how? I’ve never slept with a man.”

    35 The angel answered,

    The Holy Spirit will come upon you,
    the power of the Highest hover over you;
    Therefore, the child you bring to birth
    will be called Holy, Son of God.
    36-38 “And did you know that your cousin Elizabeth conceived a son, old as she is? Everyone called her barren, and here she is six months pregnant! Nothing, you see, is impossible with God.”

    And Mary said,

    Yes, I see it all now:
    I’m the Lord’s maid, ready to serve.
    Let it be with me
    just as you say.
    Then the angel left her.

    Such a beautiful story. Two women ;one ages the other a young woman. Both commissioned from God. One to lead the way setting the stage for the greatest event the world was waiting for. You see God had it beautifully orchestrated. A young virgin who beautiful her favor with God. I am sure that Mary had many questions and who else but her aunt who also had been visited by an angel could guide or encourage her . When we look through the eyes of the natural we sometimes cannot believe that God is really doing miraculous wonders. But to see what was getting ready to happen here . His perfect plan was unfolding. As I watched my nieces and nephews last night all together praying for one another I was not surprised . I know many of the trials each of them have faced and are in but God is overshadowing them with the Holy Ghost to do some greAt things. When families come together with unity there us powerful anointing. It is so time to come together. Elizabeth has John . Mary has Jesus. Cousins who turned the entire world around. Oh what a reason Jesus came. Oh what a reason John the Baptist was born. Are we ready to continue the work that has been examples to us . Families leading others. There is strength in unity . What is God calling your family to. It is time to know we are strong . We are filled with the power and
    NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!
    In Jesus name

  4. 79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
    80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.

    What an honor that we have, that the very same calling Jesus came down to do has also been placed on us. To give light to those who sit in darkness. I don’t think we sometimes realize that it is not just on duty to serve God but it is a privilege that the almighty Lord and Savior this world has blessed us with a very same calling that he put on himself when he walked on this Earth. There are servants that’s it under Masters that are limited on what they’re allowed to do because certain jobs that require certain level of trust that is only given to specific people. God has not only giving us the duty of bringing light to the people but he has trusted us to do that.

  5. Luke 1:46-49 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden : for , behold, from henceforth all generation shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is is his name. And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.

    Psalm 34:2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
    And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord it shall rejoice in his salvation.
    Psalm 35:9 And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation.
    Psalm 71:19 Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who has done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!
    Psalm 103:17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him,and his righteousness unto children’s children;

  6. Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commands and decrees blamelessly.

    And now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their appointed time.”
    Luke 1:6‭, ‬20 NIV

    Those that walk closely with the Lord tend to have a form of judgement poured out immediately verses waiting for the day of judgement. We saw this with Moses. He became angry and was disobedient so he was not able to enter into the promised Land.

  7. 76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
    77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
    78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,
    79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

  8. THY KINGDOM COME
    THE PERIL OF UNBELIEF

    18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.
    19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.
    20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

    GOD moved quickly and powerfully on the spirit of unbelief that was on Zacharias. He questioned the WORD from the LORD instead of receiving it and acting on it. GOD judged Zacharias for his unbelief so that he could not repeat the unbelief and thereby hinder the miracle.

    It will be better for us to keep our mouth shut than to utter unbelief and negative words. Unbelief is manifest in negative words and will rob us of our miracle. We shall have what we say and if Zacharias had ever spoken that he could not have a child then John would have been hindered.

    The Peril of unbelief is absence. GOD would rather silence a priest than hinder a miracle. The absence of Zacharias voice was the peril over the absence of John the forerunner of JESUS.

    Our MIRACLE is waiting on our confession.

    63 And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all.
    64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God.

  9. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus, He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.

  10. So it looks like there’s two ways to react: with disbelief like Zacharias, or with belief like Mary. It’s funny though because God’s word will always come to pass, regardless of how we react. His ways are higher, so even when we don’t understand or think the task is near impossible, we still have to have faith and trust Him. His word will come to pass; thank You Jesus!

  12. Luke 1: 76-77 ( English Amp) And you , little one, shall be called a prophet of the Most High; for you shall go on before the face of the Lord to make ready His ways. [77] To bring and give the knowledge of salvation to his people in forgiveness and remission of their sins. Isaiah 40:3 ]
    A voice of one who cries; Prepard in the wilderness the way of the Lord [ Clear away the obstacles ]; make a straight and smooth in the desert a highway for our God ! For all the people [ now] walk every man in the name of his God. But we will walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and forever. Lord let you light through us and guide our feet in a straight line of the way of peace of love and joy of the Holy Ghost. Help us live and learn about the book of Acts. Lord we all need help to do Your will . Because without your salvation and delieverance we want be saved !

  13. And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
    Luke 1:41‭-‬43 KJV
    We know that Elizabeth was not filled with the Holy Ghost like we’re filled because of what Jesus said: He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
    John 7:38‭-‬39 KJV
    Jesus was not yet glorified but Elizabeth did receive a miracle baby in her womb and the Spirit of God was upon Him mightily. Her reaction to the Spirit of God from Mary’s womb caused movement, joy, and then she prophesied to Mary confirming the Word of the Lord. Shouldn’t we respond to God’s Spirit in similar fashion with movement, joy and speaking out words of praise, magnifying God and prophesying of His greatness?

  14. Zechariah said to the angel, “How can I be sure this will happen? I’m an old man now, and my wife is also well along in years.” But now, since you didn’t believe what I said, you will be silent and unable to speak until the child is born. For my words will certainly be fulfilled at the proper time.” What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and is now in her sixth month. For the word of God will never fail. ” Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” And then the angel left her. You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said.”
    Luke 1:18‭, ‬20‭-‬20‭, ‬36‭-‬38‭, ‬45 NLT
    Zachariah and his wife was at old age and they could not have any children but the people prayed and my and God hear while the angle of the Lord to Zachariah that his wife will give birth to a baby he was in disbelief in some way he question God because he did this God shut his mouth so he can’t talk if God says he will do something . Believe it God always fullfil his promises
    Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord , and whose hope the Lord is.
    Jeremiah 17:7 KJV

  15. Luke 1

  16. 76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
    77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
    78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,
    79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

    What a great day it must have been when John was born and his father prophesied these words given to him by God. John’s ministry was vital to prepare the people to receive Jesus. There are people around us today who need a John the Baptist to speak into their lives so that they can receive Jesus. We are the ones with this truth and must step up and declare it. Then this “hill will not be enough”. One lot for POFW will not be enough. There is a great revival just ahead and I can’t wait to see what God is up to. My promise from God is my sons will be saved and this is my continual prayer and I know I will see it come to pass. Amen

  17. The darkness stands no chance

    79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

    It is an awesome representation of how powerful the gospel is when even a small light is cast into a vast darkness, you can see the light from anywhere in that darkness. The world we live in is dark and polluted but it takes just a small light for a difference to be noticed. When we link our lights together it is a reckoning for the darkness. When the light comes the darkness has to flee. The darkness doesn’t stand a chance.
    Today we go out to outreach with lights on bright and the darkness will be lit up around us and the world will notice.

  18. God is able to provide even when the situation seems impossible. We cannot look at the state we’re in and think that God cannot bring us out of it. He is the great I am and able to handle anything that come across his path. Our God is a good God.

  19. 14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.

    Ooooo yes lord! When a new soul is born first the family rejoices! When a soul is born agin of the water and spirit we must rejoice for God has done a great work a miracle had taken place! Yes Lord!

  20. 38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

    Can you imagine what works will God be able to do through us if we all would respond with the same great level of obedience as she did. Mary knew the great problems to come, the tongues that will talk, her marriage to Joseph will be put in jeopardy, but she still said YES LORD! May God grants us the wisdom to say YES LORD the moment He calls us.

  21. iLove the Kingdom
    What is amazing here is Zechariah is just like many of us today. He went to church, he had a job and ministered at church, he was righteous, without fault, and still with all this he found himself in unbelief. This is where so many of us find ourselves.

  22. St. Luke 1:18-20 & 38 & 45 (nlt)
    18) Zechariah said to the angel, How can I be sure this will happen? I’m an old man now, and my wife is also well along in years.
    19) Then the angel said, I am Gabriel! I stand in the very presence of God. It was he who sent me to bring you this good news!
    20) But now, since “You Didn’t Believe” what I said, you will be silent and unable to speak until the child is born. For my words will certainly be fulfilled at the proper time.

    38) Mary responded, I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true. And then the angel left her.
    45) You are blessed because “You Believed” that the Lord would do what he said.

    A spirit of doubt and unbelief OR A spirit of faith in believing?
    We either doubt and “Don’t Believe,” or we have faith and “Believe” the word that is spoken.

  23. Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,

    2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;

    3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,

    4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

    5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.

    6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

    7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.

    8 And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest’s office before God in the order of his course,

    9 According to the custom of the priest’s office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.

    10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.

    Luke will not write of things about which Christians may safely differ from one another, and hesitate within themselves; but the things which are, and ought to be surely believed. The doctrine of Christ is what the wisest and best of men have ventured their souls upon with confidence and satisfaction. And the great events whereon our hopes depend, have been recorded by those who were from the beginning eye-witnesses and ministers of the word, and who were perfected in their understanding of them through Divine inspiration.

  24. 67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,

    68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

    69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;

    70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:

    71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;

    72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

    73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,

  25. 41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

    67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,

    Elizabeth and Zacharias were both filled with the Holy Ghost during her pregnancy and birth of her son John. The Holy Ghost had not yet been give in the upper room, yet the Lord honored them and not only blessed them with a child after her barrenness, but also blessed them with His Spirit.

    This is a sign to us that God is seeking those who have a hunger for Him and is desiring to grow in Him. His Word declares to us that that those who hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled. We must pray that people in the this region would develop a hunger for God that they would be filled with His Spirit and marvel at what He is doing in their lives.

  26. I Love To Worship The Lord
    Zechariah and Mary
    Zechariaah the priest ask the angels foe a sign. Mary the young maiden of Galilee submits faith to the Lord. It is wrong to worship Mary but it is more than right that we admire and emulater.

  27. 7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.

    Is there anything too hard for God? Some could say that being stricken by age would be an obstacle, BUT my God is the autor of TIME!
    Being barren could be an medic obstacle, BUT my GOD in his infinite wisdom fashioned mankind, down to the last molicule.
    This is a great miracle, if my God is the same yesterday, today and forever, if he did it then, He can do it now!

    Get ready!

  28. The Possibilities are endless.

    37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

    I needed to hear this tonight. Nothing shall be impossible. We just have to give it all to God. That’s the ultimate answer. That simple, it all started and will end with God. SO why do we worry so? We shouldn’t. Just give it all to him.

  29. 42. And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

    Blessed art thou among churches, POFW, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb!

    Micah 4:10
    Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the Lord shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.

  30. I learned that there was a guy praying and he said that they could not have a baby because they were old and then Jesus said you will keep your mouth shut until the baby is born for not believing in my miracle. That I have blessed you with

  31. I learned that eliziebeth was Infront of Mary with John the Baptist and Mary was inffront of Elizabeth with Jesus John jumped when they were infront of each other hewith joy

  32. 20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

    Today ladies have children at many ages both immature and senior. However to be diagnosed as barren sounds unbearable. Elizabeth was stricken in years as was her husband Zecharias, whom was a minister in the temple. Miraculously, Gabriel appears unto him and declares that he will have a son. Yes, Zecharias doubted. I suppose we would have to understand the hardness of his heart, scabbed over by pain, disappointment and frustration. He may see first hand miracles happen in front of him for others, but yet, no miracle of a child of his own. So, we can look at his doubt here and scoff like we’ve never done it before, or we can learn from it. Not being able to communicate by speaking would pose a challenging punishment in ministry and marriage. Not until the time of John’s birth his tounge would be loosed if out of faith he spoke the name God appointed the baby boy. “John” would be the forerunner for Jesus.

    If we take the doubt we are tempted to feel and turn it into faith barren wombs can bear fruit, tounges can be loosed and hardened hearts can be mended.

    Proverbs 30:15 “There are three things that are never satisfied, four that never say, ‘Enough!’: 16 the grave, the barren womb,
    land, which is never satisfied with water,
    and fire, which never says, ‘Enough!’

  33. 76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

    77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

    78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,

    79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

  34. But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
    Luke 1:13 KJV

    And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
    Luke 1:38 KJV

    I wonder how much of this goes on in our lives? After we pray and or are seeking God and we hear the Word come forth what is then our response? Do we answer like Mary; be it unto me according to thy word…or do we we laugh and question the possibility of what seems impossible? Every time we come to hear the Word it is speaking to our lives. Speaks life direction, healing, deliverance, provision, but what’s our response? The man of God, the Pastor, the angel of the house sends forth the Word and what is our reaction. We must remember everything is possible to him that believes. If the Lord says, through the man of God, then I believe it.

  35. What an encouraging chapter to never stop asking, never stop seeking and never let unbelief take a hold of you. I claim victory and will never stop asking (praying). We may not see the big picture or how this is gonna turn out; but, God does and we just need to keep claiming our victory in Jesus’ name.
